iloveberries Age 31, DH 32, DS 2 yrs. Been TTC #2 for a year, 1 m/c, 1 ectopic, 1 tube removed. Will be starting TTC again after my next AF.

Still following the ladies on my original TTC thread but most of them are now pregnant so whilst I'm delighted for them I wanted to start a new place for those who have been TTC for a while and are still awaiting a healthy, sticky bean in the right place.

All welcome..... nothing if off limits, nothing is TMI, no 'babydust' though please

Never been to classes as a member though. DM was a WW consultant for years. Used to help her out sometimes. My friend has just lost a couple of stone on WW but went to nutritionist too and has a PT but I'm not that dedicated! SW is ok but not keen on the eating to fill yourself up thing and thinking of nice things as syns! Think that's right about Middletons and Dukan. Nigella lost 3 stone on it too! Maybe I should try it. I like porridge, rhubarb, yoghurt and seafood which I think is what most of it's followers live on! Yup suppose with my cycle now I just need to be patient and see what happens. If it helps Munch, I think it's about how you feel and I don't think 10lbs is that much considering. But we can support each other with weight loss as well as the ttc as long as we don't become diet bores like my afforementioned friend!

Great stuff mrs we can be diet buddies also. Well Dukan defo not for me lol. I'm trying to be good on sw plan this week but I'm not counting syns religiously. I'll weigh in again on Sunday morning and see if even drop a 1lb.

That sounds like a good idea Munch! I'm kind of doing the same but I don't have scales in my house! I go by how my clothes fit! I've been everything from an 8-18 and am down to large 14 at the moment. When I can get in size 12 jeans and don't need to buy XLs in Mango and Zara I'll be happy! I think 1lb by the weekend is a very realistic and doable target!

Hi all sorry not been on in ages,
Congratulations to Els thats fantastic news, i hope all is well with you and you can sit back relax and enjoy your pregnancy :)
just a quick update here for me, I went to the MFC clinic open evening and got to have a chat with someone who looked at my past history and my dh tests and she said that it will be very unlikely that we will conceive on our own ( which i already know) She said we would have to have ICSI because IVF would not work for us. Unfortunately ICSI is even more expensive than IVF so we are looking at a year before we can consider it :(
Dh is taking Wellman conception when he remembers! i feel like his mother sometimes nagging him to take them lol
I too have decided to try and lose some weight i eat quite healthy anyway its just lack of exercise for me so i have just bought my self and exercise bike to ride while i watch all my soaps every evening lets see how long i can stick to it lol
Hope everyone is well xx

Thanks for the advice! I'm also going back on my weighless diet next week. Not fun to go on a diet in the holidays! DD and I baked a chocolate cake today. From Monday I'm going to diet and have a brisk walk in the afternoon and skip in the mornings. Went to watch the new Tinkerbell movie with DD and a friend.
Back home now with MIL! And DH is working late AGAIN so I have to sit up with the inlaws AGAIN. First time in my life that i wish the holiday could fly by!
hugs to all

Im doing ok thanks all, worried a lot of the time but have booked an appointment to see my doctor on thursday (also, how difficult is it to see a doctor these days??!) Im going to ask about an early scan so i dont spend weeks 7-12 going out of my mind, basically i just want info and a doctor to make me feel better! I am very pleased though and doing preg tests everyday, ive done 6 now and my boyfriend has banned me from doing anymore (seeing the bfp is a comfort to me somehow)

You all sound like youre being very hard on yourselves with the weight issue...take it easy ttc is exhausting enough!

Hello everyone, i hope you all had a good weekend.
I spent friday night with my best mate, she has 2 boys (8 and 2), her youngest Baleigh is a right little chatterbox at the minute, but he said his own name for the first time and I caught it on camera, so that was great. Suffice to say its been mailed to everyone we know, lol.
ELSA congratulations on the BFP thats great news. I hope everything goes well at the doctors, you should keep POAS if it makes you feel good, I know i would.
Tas- woo on the chicken pox. Ive never had it but my nephew did a few years back, i felt so sorry for him because he just wanted a hug and a kiss but i wouldnt go near him cuz I didnt wanna get shingles or anything. My Nanna kept him smothered in cream and he settled down after a couple of weeks.
Thanks for the advise in regards to ttc and my pain relief. I have been on morphine and codeine so paracetamol doesnt really hit the spot, but its better than nothing. I have a lot of heat patches in the house now and creams to use. The fertility monitors seem like a good idea which ill try as i can at least take pain relief when i know there is no chance of being or getting pregnant, though im not taking that chance yet. I want to see how long i can hold out.
Nothing else to report really, just wanted to say hello. Im off to get in a nice hot bath :)
Mrs, Munch, HK I hope you are all okay.
Love for now
xx

Els it's very natural to want to keep poas. We have all done it. But you will soon just have to trust and believe you are pg. Good luck at the doctors on Thursday.

HK great another member to our mn diet club. I know I have to get in some walking and kick the biscuits and crisps!!!

Rachie it was good that you got some info. It sucks that you have to wait a year. But at least you have a plan and sure who knows in the meantime!!!!

Tas my heart goes out to you chicken pox and mil!!!! This is a holiday you'll not forget in a hurry. Bread soda in bath is supposed to be good. Hmmm like sound of your choc cake.

Lynzi sorry I had no idea how bad your pain is. You are so brave to do this and I sincerely wish you get pg ASAP.

I keep thinking my boobs are sore today but not sure if I'm imagining it now. If af is coming I just want it to wait til I've had a normal cycle.

Ps mrs I'm a very large 14 and I was never ever a size 8!!!!

Report
mrsnec · 03/10/2012 07:51

Gosh where do I start! Well I was a size 8 when I was at uni so long time ago! Rachie, great to see you on here again. I agree with what the others say it sounds like a successful fact finding mission but keep ttc in the meantime. Els, I'd be exactly the same. Good idea about docs. Lynz, that's really sweet! Tas, that cake does sound yum! Also sounds like you've had a very hectic couple of weeks! Time to relax! HK & Munch, My diet bore friend went no carbs high protein and both her nutritionist and PT have told her not to. Having said that I don't agree with her approach to WW either. She eats minimum points. Then cripples herself in the gym to earn more for booze! My DM lost 4 stone on the old WW when they had exchanges instead of points. She's kept it off for years and years but thinking about it, V healthy way to loose weight as you had to measure everything and had to have things from every food group. With ocassional treats! Diet fail last night as I went out for meze trying to convince myself this morning it's fine as only really meat and salad! Still no af here but still feel it's on its way! Hope I haven't missed anyone!

MunchinMango · 03/10/2012 19:01

Hi mrs. I don't think I ever was size 8 reckon I jumped past it as I was growing up lol!! Yes ww seem to keep changing their programme through the years. I caught a read of one of their latest plans and it looks very similar to sw. Your mums way sounds good.
You're not tempted to poas anytime?

Report
elsabel · 03/10/2012 19:49

yes think i'll feel better once ive been to docotrs, going to ask for an early scan aswell even if we have to pay.

Sorry to hear you have to wait Rachie. a year may seem like a long time but it will fly and like the other girls says you never know what might happen in the meantime, even if it is very unlikely things do happen.

mrs are you going to poas? what is your CD? sorry if youve already said and i have missed it! Hi to anyone i havent mentioned hope youre all having a good week xx

Hey ladies just checking in decided to do the weight watchers diet and see how that goes! Only want to loose half stone but weight just gradually keeps creeping on ! Think it's my inability to say no to nice things Grin
On day 23 today no symptoms no signs no nothing ! Got my MRI on 12th for my back so will be glad to get that sorted xxx

mrsnec · 04/10/2012 05:39

Hi All! Els just make sure you keep us up to date with it all! HK good luck. You can do that in a couple of weeks easily! Munch yes I think WW and SW similar now just count things differently and people follow them in different ways. MIL does SW and is always eating strange stuff to keep full like millions of eggs and whole tins of beans! Not always pleasant to be around! But on the other hand all the SW recipes I've tried have been lovely so is each to their own. Think I'm on CD32 About 12DPO. Have af symptoms but also feeling bit more emotional than normal. Symptom spotting stops there! Am sure the lateness is just the vits sorting the LPD. I think it's too early to test?

Hk I suffer from that inability too lol!!! Sorry to hear you have back trouble. You must be in a lot of pain.

Els good luck at doctors today.

Mrs well fx this is a good sign!!!! But if nothing else vitamins have sorted out your Lpd. I know you could drive yourself crazy symptom spotting. What's longest your cycle has gone?

Report
mrsnec · 04/10/2012 08:31

Thanks HK and Munch. HK I really hope they can do something for your back. Back pain is not a nice thing to have to live with. Re my cycles they used to be 28 days like clockwork. But the last 3 were 30+. 32 the longest though but I'm wary I've miscalculated! Which is one of the many reasons I'm not getting excited!

Mrs I think you said you weren't trying this month but is there a chance you could be pg? Well if AF doesn't show by say Sunday I would seriously think about poas. If AF doesn't show for me either I might join you poas. I am on cd 23 but 11dp smiley face but sure who knows.

Report
mrsnec · 04/10/2012 12:00

It would be a massive fluke as we did dtd once but it was around the time I thought I'd ov'd lateness must be due to the vits. If I'm going to get AF I want it to be soon though as we're going away next weekend. I'm not even thinking about testing though just yet.

Report
MunchinMango · 04/10/2012 20:34

Well mrs fluke or not there is a chance. I'm the very same we only dtd the day before I got smiley face. So it would be a fluke for me also. I think I am going to poas on Sunday morning providing af is a no show still. Be ready for the fall out if it goes pear shaped.

Anyone else testing? HK are you near?

Hope Rachie and lynzi are doing ok?

Els how did you get on today at the doctors?

Sorry to hear that HK but maybe it was too early? Bad news here. AF's got me. But that put my LP at 12 days minimum so I have to look on the bright side. And I've finaly got round to ordering me an opk for next time. Can't really stretch to CBFM and I'm not sure about the cheapys so I've gone middle of the road with the smiley ones! Also kind of pleased I can relax on our little holiday but still BFP would have been nice! FX munch and hope everyone else is ok! X

Hk you could well have tested too early. Leave it for a few days and re test again. Enjoy the weekend.

Mrs so sorry the auld witch got you. But yes you can let your hair down on hols and have a few drinks. Also great that lp is now 12 days. The vitamins must be doing the trick and you prob only started them mid cycle as well. I think the smiley opks are best as they take away the guess work.

TGIF and all that. But I've to go to a very sad funeral tomorrow. My close friends niece was killed in a car accident she was only 27. Puts stuff in perspective. On ttc front AF still not showed yet and I'm going to stick to plan and wait til Sunday morning to poas. Although I'm still imagining nausea and sore boobs. Bloody nuisance that AF symptoms are so similar to pg symptoms.
