iloveberries Age 31, DH 32, DS 2 yrs. Been TTC #2 for a year, 1 m/c, 1 ectopic, 1 tube removed. Will be starting TTC again after my next AF.

Still following the ladies on my original TTC thread but most of them are now pregnant so whilst I'm delighted for them I wanted to start a new place for those who have been TTC for a while and are still awaiting a healthy, sticky bean in the right place.

TGIF, this has been a long first week back.

FX for you munch! He was ok in the end. I think he's just a typical bloke who wants to blame me for any minor malfunction even if its with his own anatomy! In other news may have to tell our best friends what we're up to. We were planning a holiday together and they've just decided they'd rather do a booze fest somewhere in Eastern Europe than a Red Sea Spa/diving holiday. I think they have a screw loose! Mrs- I have a dp who has said that in past blinking men then when you say fine lets not try and just enjoy I get well don't you want my babies I guess we forget the male roller coaster bless!
Munch- hmm hard one that i know my sis in law ovulated day after af finished so cannot say but so expensive I appreciate may not want to waste one if not ovulating for a few days more?

Update in Ttc- started Chinese medicine yesterday as apparently good and I need to sort my yin and yang balance here goes for another weird and wonderful idea of mine! Lord give me strength or sense either would do right now x

Hi everyone hope you are all ok and are enjoying your weekend?
Im not sure what to think at the moment, im on cd 30 today i did a test yesterday morning and there was a faint positive line so i was over the moon all day yesterday but then last night i had severe cramping and its not stop all through the night and all day today untill Af arrived this afternoon i did another test this morning and it was negative:( im still in a lot of pain i have never felt like this before i was just at a shopping centre with my dh and dd and burst out crying! x

Does anyone have any tips...ive been doing cheapy ovulation tests and all showing faint lines (which ive heard means negative) and if my calculations are correct, which im sure they are, should be ovulating any day now. Would you guys go by ovulation tests as have also heard theyre a waste of time?! Had a MMC in May this year and ready to try again (trying not to send myslef mad with it all though!)

Welcome elsabel. Oh I'm no opk expert. I've switched to digital ones this time as the other ones confused me. Also look out for fertile cm, Ov pains and you could also try temping.

Well I'm supposedly on cd 12 and I have still some spotting. It is getting less but still there. Fx it soon stops and mt body gears up to Ov do I can at least give it a shot.

Munchin maybe still try ov test today as you never know?

Rachie really sorry about your news. Don't have much to add exept I don't understand why nature is so cruel sometimes. I agree with munch. I don't know much about CPs and the info online is confusing. It's crossed my mind that I had one before but don't know much about it. Would be interested in if the others have had any experience in this and what their GPs have said. Hello kitty good idea on the herbals let us know how it goes and glad I'm not the only one whos had man trouble in this department! CD 19 here. No news. Told our friends. They can go off and booze on their own! My DM has booked flights to see us next month for her 60th I'm treating her to a spa day then. Glad you're all enjoying the sunshine. Hope it lasts!

Munchin i agree with hellokitty may aswell start testing, ive heard the best time to do an ov test is between between 2pm and 2:30pm. Good luck! Think I'm gonna definatly switch to digital ones next month.

Think it was last chance for us today too. Although am now confused. Read something on the NHS website today saying don't use any opks as it causes too much stress just dtd eod betweed CD10 &16 should be enough? !Thank goodness for air con in the bedroom! Will be a few of us on the 2WW at the same time then? Fx everyone!

mrsnec Ive heard that and am pretty sure if your cycle is regular then CD 10 and 16 should be enough. there are some that say you conceive easier when oure relaxed and not stressed, which i am inclined to believe. When me and my dh conceived last time we werent even trying, that was when i miscarried. I just got given a load of cheap OPK's from my pregnant sister and cant help but use them!

My cycles were regular until I had a strange one last time. I thought it was a bit later than that so didn't start until CD 13 this time. I thought I saw ewcm yesterday though so dtd this morning (sorry if tmi) if we don't have any luck this time yes I'll be devestated (again) but we'll just start earlier as long as DH doesn't have a strop. Oh well. He can have a bit of a break now! I'd carry on with the opks then if I were you. If you've been given them you may as well use them. The cost is probably the main reason I've not used them yet.

Well af arrived today. Think I'm going to bow out of this thread ladies. Wish you all the luck in the world but after over a year of all this I just need a break I think. I'll pop in to see ow you're all getting on. Wish you sticky bfps all round xx

Berries I'm so sorry AF arrived again. It does get very disheartening. I can totally understand the need for a break. Before I went on hols I was getting obsessed about the whole thing. So for nearly 2 weeks I forgot about ttc, poas, mumsnet and luckily there were no pg ladies to look at. It really did me good. So go enjoy life and forget ttc and when your ready we will be here for you to chat to again.

I took your advice hello kitty and elsabel and tested on a cheapie opk and there was possible it was close to being positive. I am going to use a digital one today. I'm on cd 14 so I don't know I could have missed surge. But I still have spotting. Anyhow we did dtd on sat night.

Mrs glad you told your friends. It's takes some of the pressure off and you don't have to be coming up with stories all the time to hide ttc. Spa day with your mum sounds nice.

Lucky they are the sort that wont constantly be asking questions as I frequently feel like giving up. For example Not taken FA in about a week cos it's just a reminder of something that might never happen.

Well mrs I did the digital opk today and negative but when you take the test out there is 2 lines but the control is darker so hence the negative result. At least I'm learning and now know I was mistakingly thinking I was getting a surge in past when infact I wasn't. So I will keep testing. As for the folic Acid I can be good for a while and then forget. On my mc back in April I had not taken it for a week before I realised I was pg and blame myself then when I lost it. But in reality fa is present in so many things that we eat nowadays that little slips shouldn't matter. Well fx anyway.

Good luck berries really do wish you the best. i feel the same as you mrs with regards to the FA havent been taking as feels weird in some way taking it when i may not fall for ages, although i know people say you should start taking it when you start ttc i never have. hope everyone is doing ok

Hi All yes Els that's how I feel too on the FA. It's just how my brain works on certain things and do eat loads of it in my diet anyway. Anyone else got any news? Munch Hellokitty? Hope you are all ok. Learnt a bit from Berries you know. Not bowing out though but changing my attitude towards the whole ttc thing. Sometimes I think people who live by the power of positive thinking are just trying to convince themselvs so I'm not going to think that it's my turn or that I deserve this but simply that it might happen and it might not but I'm going to do everything I can to try but keep busy in the meantime and hope I don't think about things too much.

Kitty news is dp results back good sperm mobility but low in volume so retesting to see if this is where problem lies :-( how do you make more volume ? X

One of the reasons why I don't like docs Kitty! Sounds like they didn't explain things very well. Tell you what the problem is but not how to fix it or what it means. Not a clue on that I'm affraid! Xx

Mrs that sounds good thinking. Unfortunately the key is prob to not stress about ttc and go with the flow. But boy that is easier said than done. I am nearly embarrassed to say that when we started ttc my dd I was like well it's prob going to take at least six months or more so not expecting anything this cycle and hey ho iI got pg first time. Mind you I was 35 at the time!!

Great news kitty on sperm results. Not sure what is good but zinc and vit c tabs are supposed to be very good for male fertility. It only takes one and if they are good swimmers that is good.

I'm on cd 15 and I am still getting -ve opks. Spotting is more or less gone. Glad I'm using digital ones as the other ones are showing two lines and I was always mistakingly thinking they were positive. Think I might leave it until I notice ov pain or ewcm.

How is everyone else doing?

Have you heard of semenax? Wondered if it's worth a try? X
