iloveberries Age 31, DH 32, DS 2 yrs. Been TTC #2 for a year, 1 m/c, 1 ectopic, 1 tube removed. Will be starting TTC again after my next AF.

Still following the ladies on my original TTC thread but most of them are now pregnant so whilst I'm delighted for them I wanted to start a new place for those who have been TTC for a while and are still awaiting a healthy, sticky bean in the right place.

All welcome..... nothing if off limits, nothing is TMI, no 'babydust' though please

Munchin · 09/08/2012 11:06

Thanks for the welcome home guys. To answer I was in lanzarote where temps hovered around 30c and no rain in sight. Lots of relaxing playing in pool with the kids. Lovely meals out lots of sangria and mohitos. Have any of you read the fifty shades trilogy? I'm nearly finished book 2. It's very emm racy to say the least but compulsive at same time. Every second lady on hols was reading it.

So I'm officially on cd 3, feels good to finally be able to say that.

Where is everyone else at in their cycle?

woody17 · 09/08/2012 11:39

hi muchkin I think I am just starting the 2 ww today... I'm on the first cycle after mc (haven't had af yet) so I don't really know where I am. But I think I've ov recently and I got a +ve on ov stick on Monday, which has since been -ve. But I'd never used these before now!

I haven't read the fifty shades trilogy but I've heard a lot about it...

Your holiday sounds very relaxing. We are off in just over a week - I can't wait and I think it will really help me take my mind of ttc as I feel like I've become a little obsessed since my mc

mrsnec · 09/08/2012 12:05

munch Lanzarote is lovely glad you had a nice time. I read all 3 50 shades. Mr Grey does nowt for me I'm affraid. Dunno what the fuss is about. Not into ginges! I did lend the books to my DMIL though and quite disturbingly her comment was 'wonder where they get their toys from?!!' 2nd book is the best. Hi Woody. Hope the 2WW isn't too stressful! FX !

rachie12 · 09/08/2012 15:54

Hey all hope your enjoying the lovely weather :) I have read all 3 of the 50 shades books and i didnt really rate them much either i found myself skipping most of the 'saucy' stuff because it was too repetative,
Im on cd21 now and the sharp pains i was getting yesterday have turned into like a dull period like pain now so not sure what that means Confused we couldnt dtd last night either as my dd was sick and insisted in sleeping in our bed with us never mind lol x

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 09/08/2012 19:36

Munchin I am reading 50 shades and enjoying it do far but only on book 1!! Am on day 23 but not feeling it for this month and negative test yesterday lol! X

Munchin · 09/08/2012 21:25

I must stress i am not in to dbsm LOL, and it does get a bit much at times in the books as it is relentless but I try to focus on the story and I prefer to think of Christian as a blonde and not a ginger.

hellokitty, I am a serious addict to poas so don't beat yourself up. I tested in february this year and got a negative but by march I was pg and prob was too early to test. So fx for you.

Mrsnec reading back I see you live in cypress. I honeymooned there many years ago and its a lovely place. Oh to feel that heat everyday you lucky thing.

So woody and berries are on the 2ww, fx this is your month. Sorry woody about your mc last month it is a truly awful experience, but you are right the holiday will be a nice distraction.

Sorry Rachie, I have been there with the little ones up wandering at night and have had to cancel the dtd.

How is everyone else today?

Mezzaluna · 09/08/2012 22:45

Hi all, welcome to all the newbies, and welcome back from your hols Munchin! Glad to hear AF is back, hope that means a + on the cards for you very very soon!

Sorry I have been awol for a while and haven't quite had the time or energy to catch up on everything here. Had a hit-rock-bottom-type week last week. Still feeling pretty blue, but at least on the way up.

Had a scan last week - part of all the investigations at the recurrent mc-clinic, but the sonographer I saw was just so horrible, I think her behaviour just released months of tension. Loooooong silence, crap questions (bloody hell - don't these people ever read notes? How many times is it necessary to repeat my entire ttc history??) then basically pushes me out the door with a "you are free to go, they will tell you". I asked who will tell me, and am I ok? Was told I need to wait for my appoinment in a month, and asking if she wouldn't tell me anything she just said no and pushed me out the door. I think that because every scan I have had has had terrible news in the other end, I was just uncomfortable about the whole thing and her manner didn't help, basically left in floods of tears convinced something was terribly wrong with me. Have managed to reason with myself now though, but it's just been such a rough time lately. Could hardly stop crying for the next two days. Went to GP and got referral for counselling, but there is a 5 month waiting list.

Also went back to my acupuncture lady yesterday, she's great. Actually feeling a lot calmer from my treatment, will definitely keep going.
Cycle-wise I should ov any day soon, but going on a girly weekend to Paris tomorrow... Timing is crap sometimes! Will make sure to dtd this eve though, so there might be a slim chance in there.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, and will check back, hopefully in a much brighter mood, when I get back from Paris! :)

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 09/08/2012 23:18

Mezza I am not surprised you hit a low! Seriously some medical staff have no bed side manner ! They can't always say anything but can say something and to be req to wait a month? I am cross and sad for you! But on up note you keep trying for a super sticky bean and maybe a chill away in Paris with the girls will help matters! Could you maybe afford private counciling? Take care of you and enjoy your trip x

Munchin · 09/08/2012 23:55

Ah Mezza that sonographer needs a good kick up the backside!!!! You'd think they would have some compassion and be a bit more helpful. Awful to be left worrying for a month. Most likely nothing to worry about and the sonographer was having a bad day and taking it out on you, Go enjoy your girly weekend in Paris and chill out.

mrsnec · 10/08/2012 06:15

Hi everyone! Munch would have been a lovely place for a honeymoon here. Will keep sending the sunshine over! With you on the Mr Grey thing too. I did the same. Can't wait to see who they get to play him in the film. Mezza, the others have said it all and I agree with them totally & offer my support. Your reaction was perfectly normal we would all have been the same to me you're all brave just for turning up to those appointments! Have an amazing weekend with the girls! Kitty step away from the sticks! After last month I've decided I'd never test until at least CD32! Hope everyone else is ok. Have a great weekend.

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 11/08/2012 07:47

Mrs- I agree from now going to do the same ! It's a very expensive hobby this random testing lol a d serves no purpose other than feeling so disappointed! Am due the dreaded af Wednesday so when does everyone think I should test? I have cheap Internet tests also but very since 10 ml tests ? X

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 11/08/2012 07:48

Not sinse I mean sensitive tests x

mrsnec · 11/08/2012 08:44

Hi! Last month my AF was 2 days late or was it 3? Anyway I'm now assuming that my cycle is 31 days and not the 29 I thought it was so I'd allow myself 2 days for getting my dates wrong and then another for good measure and test on CD 34 or if due weds and you dond get AF try and wait till weekend to test and don't be fooled by cheap tests or early ones. Someone on another thread was visualising it as peeing on a fiver. (or 10? in my case) that's certainly helped me! Anyway, sometimes no symptoms is a symptom if you get what I mean? FX I still think you're in with a chance. X

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 11/08/2012 09:09

Well mrs now you say I got the same brand ovulation sticks and it's weird as I only make them a faint line a few days after I have clear stringy (tmi sorry) so maybe they are not great . Maybe should bin them Grin ! Ok next Saturday it is! Thank you for your help x

mrsnec · 11/08/2012 09:15

Well it's no problem just my opinion and I could be wrong! Interested in what the others have to say on this too. CD 11 for me. Still got guest here. Is it cheeky for me to say I can't wait for him to go cos I'm dying to get at it again! X

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 11/08/2012 09:25

Grrrr guests when you need to get on it! Sounds like you may need to send them to the shop and get a quickie in Wink ! I like advice as I have finally lost the plot on ttc I have only been at 17 months and I do have a gorgeous dd who is all grown up and starting school September Sad x

mrsnec · 11/08/2012 15:38

And they are of the lazy mopey teenage variety. I've been dropping hints all day but he's just hanging about it's driving me nuts! Just enjoy this time with your DD. Maybe she'll have a sibling soon. 17 months is a long time. Similar for us but don't have any yet. Am not giving up. At the moment I think we've not been trying hard enough! Thing is I've never been broody around other people's kids and I do sometimes wonder if that's why we're struggling.
