iloveberries Age 31, DH 32, DS 2 yrs. Been TTC #2 for a year, 1 m/c, 1 ectopic, 1 tube removed. Will be starting TTC again after my next AF.

Still following the ladies on my original TTC thread but most of them are now pregnant so whilst I'm delighted for them I wanted to start a new place for those who have been TTC for a while and are still awaiting a healthy, sticky bean in the right place.

All welcome..... nothing if off limits, nothing is TMI, no 'babydust' though please

Mrs I never knew of such a thing! Where do I get it? Sounds like it could hit the spot directly? It's sounds forever lol! Thank you for your knowledge on better options x

mrsnec · 04/08/2012 08:45

I think it's called Ibuleve or something like that. You get it from any chemist. Think supermarkets too. Don't have any medical experience was just thinking if you put it on the area directly there'd be less in your bloodstream (possibly). Only had back problems once and it was horrible and always loads worse after a visit to the chiropractor! Hope it gets better soon and doesn't ruin your weekend.

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 04/08/2012 10:06

I agree with your chain of thought mrs! I luckily am good when I keep moving its the stopping and starting again that hurts so I need to sleep walk! X

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 04/08/2012 18:41

Rachie, I used pre-seed and conceived last month. Was on my first round of Clomid and had no fertile CM. Not sure if it helped but it certainly didn't hinder!! Grin

rachie12 · 04/08/2012 20:41

My ds is finding it difficult too i didnt think i would see the day when he would turn it down! its hard to keep it exciting still when you only have one thing on your mind lol i bought some fertility gel called Zestica so we will see how much fun we can have with that tonight Grin x

iloveberries · 05/08/2012 16:27

I think it is hard on the husbands! I usually don't tell dh where I am in my cycle but was worried about my peak not appearing this month so he knows tonight it's his swimmers I'm after Wink

And hopefuly you'll get plenty of them Berries! On that note, we've had lots of advice about DTD but what about afterwards. All those who've been/are pg is it true about not moving, pillow under the hips, not eating sweet stuff, not going to the loo etc etc any tips?

rachie12 · 05/08/2012 16:49

ooops that was supposed to say dh lol x

iloveberries · 05/08/2012 16:54

When ttc ds I did legs in air and I got him first month but I was a heavy drinker And smoker then! This time round I still do legs in air briefly an then go to sleep. I think lying flat is recommended but don't know about legs in air!!!

No sweet things? That is new to me!!

Mrs I can honestly say, I never bothered with pillow under the bum to start out with but this month I thought, what the hell, it can't hurt!! Did it for about 5 or so mins then got bored, went to the toilet and started dinner Grin what we did do though in order to get the spermies as close to the cervix as possible was doing it doggy style Blush. At 5+2 it seemed to do the trick! Some will always come out, and if they do they are clearly not strong enough anyway. The strongest ones will have made it into the cervix and further and that's all that matters. A lot of what comes out after is also semen rather than sperm! Smile

iloveberries · 05/08/2012 16:58

Oh god I hate doggy style

OP posts:
rachie12 · 05/08/2012 17:03

We have tried it doggy style im not too keen we prefer him on top, I do everything i think lol we have sex with my hips on a pillow and then after i put my legs in the air for about 20 mins lol :)

mrsnec · 05/08/2012 17:07

Me too Berries but will pretty much give anything a bash now! Tried the pillow under the bum legs in the air last time. Think this month will just DTD as much as poss. DH is eating better and drinking and smoking less so hopefuly that will help with the stamina!

mrsnec · 05/08/2012 17:10

And Moo, I am just going to try and remember your advice on the spermies. If they're strong enough they will get there anyway!

Discolite · 05/08/2012 17:14

Hi!

thank god you got the peak berries! Hope your DH delivers the goods again for you!

Mrsnec, as for positions after sex I used to stick my legs in the air but after 4 months of it not working I gave up. I did lie down for ten mins afterwards but I don't think it's really ne hadcessary. I read the sperm that make it are forced through the cervix with the force of the ejaculation (ahem) and so once they're there it makes very little difference.

I also saw a study somewhere on women who'd underggone artificial insemination. They made half of them lie down for time afterwards and the rest just got up. There. Was no difference in conception rates between the two groups.

hope that helps! I did nothing special this time I conceived, just lost a bit of weight and went to the gym three times. No preseed or standing on my head!

sorry for the mistakes, i'm on my phone.

iloveberries · 05/08/2012 17:15

Yeah, the more I learn about ttc it's just a well timed shag and a lot of luck!!
