iloveberries Age 31, DH 32, DS 2 yrs. Been TTC #2 for a year, 1 m/c, 1 ectopic, 1 tube removed. Will be starting TTC again after my next AF.

Still following the ladies on my original TTC thread but most of them are now pregnant so whilst I'm delighted for them I wanted to start a new place for those who have been TTC for a while and are still awaiting a healthy, sticky bean in the right place.

All welcome..... nothing if off limits, nothing is TMI, no 'babydust' though please

Morning Tas! Glad you are feeling better and you've been out and about. Definately a good idea to do something. I like the idea of planting a tree. You have a great climate in SA don't you? If you have the space you could grow anything! How about a fruit tree of sorts. Pomegranates are supposed to be a symbol of fertility although we are surrounded by them it's not done me any favours. We plant new trees to mark family ocassions. I go for things in the Orange family as I love the smell of blossom and the fruit is slow growing and rewarding.

Tas unsure how to spell it but - dankie and one of my many useful sentences - wil ye tier he ( would you like a cup of tea ? ) Grin
Berries- Sad sorry the ttc is getting to you today- take it by the short and curlys and give it a quick talking too! If it ignores you go grab choccie!!
Hi everyone else

Have a good day all!!! Xxx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 02/08/2012 09:23

Hello everyone; i am so sorry to hear that so many of you are having a rough time of it lately. It took me over 13 months to fall after earlier losses and although the trials and tribulations of TTC are very taxing indeed, i really believe that you will all get there very very soon!! I know all too well the disappointment of AF arriving, not knowing what's going on with your cycle (I also have PCOS), and the torture of the 2ww. We have all come so far together and I know that we will continue on this journey carrying lovely little bobbas in our bellies :)

Berries I have not gone far; just lurking rather than posting at the moment because I feel absolutely rubbish and I don't want to upset people by sharing my symptoms. Tooth has finally stopped hurting, but i think it will be shortlived as the temporary filling is not really up to the job! In TTC though, I never really got much fertile CM (even less when i took Clomid), just keep using the pre-seed, bonking EOD and I am sure that peak will be with you tomorrow. It could be that your body is settling back into it's normal rhythm following the ectopic. This HAS to be your month. I just know it Grin

Am Shock and a bit Envy at all of you that live in warmer and more exotic climates. DH and I have always planned on moving to either New Zealand or San Francisco, but with the pg now, I can;t see that happening for a very long time. My DB lives in Hawaii and they have a DS (4) and my SiL is pg with their second. I hardly know my DN and will probably not see much of the latest addition either, so I could not deprive my parents of being an active part of our childs life. It's tough, but it's a decision that I have to make. Plus, there is plenty of time to move Grin

Welcome to all the newbies. May this thread bring you luck and laughter.

Right, best actually put the washing on and tidy up a bit do some work before my meeting!!! Pop in again soon :)

Moo- the awful feelings are great to put your mind at ease that all is going well this time hey? The more sick/tired you feel the more the hormones are raising? I wore sickness bands, drank flat cheap lemonade and ate ginger nuts they kind of made it better Wink

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 02/08/2012 11:14

Berries- I have a good feeling about August it's going to be your month !!!!!!! X

Just lurking also - I have everything crossed for you ilove and I def believe August is your month! Funny as this would of been the month I would of been TTC!!!!!!!
Ilove and Moo - you guys have been so very supportive and a wealth of knowledge, I am so very grateful for all the encouragement and support when I was feeling like I wanted to stop TTC and just felt at such a low point!
For all the newbie on here welcome and this is a wonderful thread and I got such support after my 2 losses!!!!
Not much to report here the constant ms, toilet trips and sore boobs are a healthy reminder all is good so I'm happy!

Almond301 · 02/08/2012 22:17

Hiya

Berries - fingers crossed this month for you!!

Just had a question if you guys don't mind. For those of you who have had a natural MC how long did it last for? I thought I was over the worse of mine and had downgraded to panty liners (TMI) but had more bleeding and clots today :-( which is getting me down. Just want to feel 'normal'!

Well at least it's almost the weekend! Anyone doing anything nice? Dog walking Sat for me then working Sun (boo)!

mrsnec · 03/08/2012 07:46

Hi everyone. I'm just checking in. Glad all the pg ladies are doing well & coping with the symptoms! Berries loving the positivity! I do think it's your turn too. I was expecting far too much getting my bfp in the first month of being here & my body played some very nasty & cruel tricks on me so just going to be realistic this month & not jinx anything! You get your peak yet? I'm finding the wait before we can try again worse than the 2 week wait! God I'm so impatient! Almond, I've never been in your situation so don't know what is the norm. I did have a D&C years ago and remember that happening then. Think it lasted a couple of weeks. Nothing exciting happening here this weekend just some work on the house we're trying to finish before visitors arrive next month. Have a great one everybody!

Discolite · 03/08/2012 11:33

Hello everyone!

First of all, seeing as Moo and Count and myself are lurking, what do you think to setting up another thread so we can discuss the pregnancy stuff without vexing or upsetting the TTCers? If Moo and Count reckon this is ok, I would like to have the thread in conception still as I don't think I'll feel comfortable on the pregnancy boards til I've had my scan. I still intend on posting on here tho so don't worry Berries, I'm not going to abandon you!

Almond, I've just had a look at my mc chart from March and I had heavy to light bleeding CD1-9 then spotting until CD 20. It did seem to go on for ever. I then ovulated on CD28 about a week after I'd normally do so. I didn't have a natural miscarriage but it was medically induced and I lost the pregnancy vaginally, not by having a surgical procedure. I was ten weeks and it took me til CD 35 to get a BFN which I found very hard. I was relieved when I got that BFN... How are you feeling, you poor thing?

Berries, have you ovved yet? It's got to be soon, surely! as for cm, I have only seen three tiny patches of ewcm in all my TTC time, so it is very possible to be ovulating and get pregnant without it. Ah, so yr a south east coast person too! Native or incomer?

Hope the DIY goes well Mrsnec!

I have my scan appt through, it is on the 5th of Sept. It was originally the day after which is the first teaching day of the year. That would've looked good, 'Hi kids, I'm your new teacher but I'm leaving in an hour!'. Luckily I've been able to change it. I've been feeling a bit funny since getting the appt though, just hope we get good news this time. And I hope I get that far. Argh.

Discolite · 03/08/2012 11:38

Oh, and hello again Kitty and welcome Tasja! This thread is great Grin

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 03/08/2012 11:43

Just quickly to say Disco fab idea!! And yes in conception too; like you not feeling confident to move anywhere just yet!!! Grin and great news on scan Smile

Lilliana · 03/08/2012 12:00

Ahhh!! Sorry just popped in to stalk see how you are all getting on and scanning through this page am guessing Moo has some good news?!?! YAY I'm so pleased for you Grin Grin Grin

Good luck to everyone ttc

Sorry as you were.

Almond301 · 03/08/2012 14:05

Hi all,

Just to say I dont mind you guys sharing your stories but if you have a new thread then it will be my goal to join you on there!!

Disco - thanks for the info. I havent been charting anything but it has been over a week and still bleeding. Nothing too heavy but would just like it over now. Feeling a bit more positive but I have really mixed feelings about trying again. One day I think wait a full cycle and then the other says just go for it. I want to loose a few pounds too so think maybe I will wait a cycle (well this is what I am thinking today at least)! I am impatient to get pregnant again but dont want my body to have any reason to fail again...

Anyone else new to OPK's? I started this morning using the Clear Blue sticks. It seems to contradict the other sticks I got (ones of ebay that look more medical) which is confusing me. CB says test first things and the others say dont?? One says start on CD 6 and the other on CD11?? Did what the CB said this morning and it was a negative (unsuprisingly). Main reason for doing it is to understand what my cycle is doing as I had the coil for so long I cant remember!

Anyhow, have lovely weekends all. I think a large glass of wine is in order this evening (havent had any for 7 weeks since the PG/MC!).

Discolite · 03/08/2012 15:41

Well, I've started my first ever thread! It is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1532478-Magic-carpet-scaredy-cat-graduates

Hopefully it will all soon be filled up with new BFPs from this thread!

Almond, that is sweet of you to say you don't mind us sharing our stories, but from past experience (when we had our thread before that had a mixture of pg/TTCers) when I'd recently had my miscarriage it was sometimes difficult to read the posts from the pg ladies. They were very sensitive but sometimes it just hits you and you end up being upset. I do hope you stop bleeding soon, it does seem to last forever and a day. Somedays I'd get excited cos I hadn't had any spotting but then it'd start again in the evening!

I'm not an expert on CB opks but I know they are different to other brands - are they the smiley face ones? Hopefully someone who knows more than me will be along shortly. Oh, and enjoy your wine!

Lil lovely to see you! How're you doing? How many weeks are you now?

Countmyblessings · 03/08/2012 19:06

Hi all -
Well I'm still lurking but will be checking in on you all! I totally agree with Discolite, although the pregnant ladies were all lovely and very sensitive to everyone it was hard to deal with!
I can't even face the pregnancy threads yet so loving a safe place to snuggle in until we feel all is well!
Had scan today all is well!

Hope to see the rest of you guys very soon x

LordOfThe5Rings · 03/08/2012 19:54

Been TTC a few years now. Going to genetic consultant to check that angle out on the 24th. Had tubes checked/hormone levels checked and DPs sperm.

waits impatiently

I have a terrible fear I can not have kids but push that aside! Gotta be optimistic!

LordOfThe5Rings · 03/08/2012 20:06

Oh and congrats to those who have been successful!

mrsnec · 04/08/2012 06:45

Morning All! I agree with Count and Disco. I am one of those people that is easily upset by pg ladies but I think it's as I've had bad experiences with ISFs. We have such a lovely bunch here it's virtualy impossible that they'd offend but very thoughtful for them to be cautious! As long as they all keep the promise not to abandon us it's fine and maybe we'll all be on the other thread soon! Lord, that must be very frustrating! Let us know how you get on. My friend went through GC and now has 2 beautiful DCs Don't give up!

mrsnec · 04/08/2012 06:49

Count! Great news about your scan by the way! X

hellokittydrivesmenuts · 04/08/2012 07:36

Disco and count and others don't jump ship we love a positive storey! Glad scan went well :-) good morning all! Have been struggling for a few days with my back which is an ongoing annoyance and finally went to gp and chiropractor yesterday who advised I have a prolapsed disc Sad need an MRI but cannot refer until I know not preg so 10 days to find out and paracetamol have not cut it in painkillers so have unfortunately given in to neurofen Angry at myself for that but it really is pain ! How is everyone doing? X

mrsnec · 04/08/2012 08:12

Sorry to hear that Kitty. Sounds agonising! Think it's best that you're comfortable though. Would the Ibuprofen gel be any better? Hope the next 10 days go really quickly for you!
