DH has said I am not allowed OV sticks this month. Just dtd eod and keep fingers crossed...

thanks for your advices ladies! FRER winkle?! We are posh :) Am a cheapskate . I know what you mean though as they are more sensitive but then i would be making a thing of it... not just testing cause i have them in my housey already... oh the ridiculousness of it all.

aw ted do you think you had a cp? I had a terrible, terrible AF just before xmas that was so crampy I was on painkliiers for three days, and was very heavy. I have always wondered if that was a near miss. I thought I had a shadow of a line before I came on too, but really, could have made that up ;0) I dread doing an early test :( but with my recent mc i think I would rather do an early test and if pos not drink and know I am doing my best for my pregnancy. Will ruin my night though with worrying. If neg then will happily get drunkard! I get early positives so should be fairly reliable if test at 11dpo... (IF I ov'ed! might not have even ovulated!)

pinkie dismiss my bossiness please, but 7dpo will most likely come up with zilcho... 9dpo is the earliest you might get a BFP and not really likely till 10/11... obviously test away but don't be down if you get BFNs early on.

Haha yep they are in the bathroom so i can do them if i want. But i think a chill time is a good idea. 8 months of this is shit

tedmundo sorry about your mc, know how you feel about wanting to get pg again before the due date. The due date for the mc I had back in Sept was around now, yet no bfp. I was v upset about it a couple of weeks ago when AF arrived but, after several months of trying, am now actually feeling positive as it shows, despite the bfns since, we CAN conceive.

Am generally feeling positive for all of us at the moment - some of us will get bfps in next few weeks!

Am off to gyn tomorrow. First appointment since I first met her, day after mc last sept, when she airily said I'd get pg again. We've recently moved to France so I have no idea what to expect - it's the equiv of a GP appointment in UK I think. I don't suppose anyone has experience of French system?

Am exactly the same today openminded cd16 ewcm and feeling quite frisky but negative on the opks.

Cd 24 here & very stressed. Got lots of what feels like trapped wind & just vague pains everywhere in the tummy. Terrified of another ectopic pregnancy. Think a BFN would be a relief at present. Need to man up!

Girls I never get EWCM. At least I think I don't. I can never tell cause around what I think is OV time I dtd loads so not sure if it's hubs' swimmers?! Sorry if tmi!

Today is cd15 and knickers are dry as a bone. Could even wear them again tomorrow! Obvs I won't but just saying....

winkle have just done the reverse winkle, so much easier than the original. Mr WhenShe is away with work for a few days. Not ovulated yet (cd16) and not sure what to hope for, positive opk tomorrow and the egg to make a swift arrival or somehow have the egg hang around till Thursday night.

Don't think June will be my month but can't complain have only been trying for a couple of months.

Ha ha winkle, 2 days out of the same pair of pants! Im same as you tho, hard to tell diff between normal cm and ewcm since its all getting mixed up with err man stuff..oh well, at least we're showing commitment on the shagging front

Worlds nastiest tummy bug continues to linger - DS was sick Thurs - Sun and i've been in a bad way since Sat. Still a bit ropy but feelin a bit more human this morning at last. Havent dtd since Fri tho for obvious reasons, hav to get stuck in tonight...

winkle FF considers watery cm to be fertile too - my last pg I didn't get ewcm that month but lots of watery so dtd on those days et voila!

Am having lots of pg type symptoms but also know that my HCG is nearly, nearly all gone (must have levels of about 15/20) so probably all hormonal rather than baby-related. Ho hum. Am staying sane about it all for now :)

I'm having EWCM yesterday & today - I'm only CD9, surely far too early? I really need to get stuck into doing the reverse winkle just in case

Am on cd17 and still no lh surge. Dh is away till Thursday so I need the egg to hang on in there till cd19.

Is there any chance I have missed the oh surge I test every morning.

I think the whole thing is that you should rather DTD every second or third night, rather than rely on OPK or BBT

OPK can miss an LH surge because sometimes the surge only lasts a few hours. BBT is misleading because it can depend on a variety of things AND if you pick up the increase in temp, you have already ovulated.

BBT is good to chart so that you can see how long your phases are but it's not reliable to pick up OV.

Overwhelming advice is to DTD as much as often.

agree with kicking, when. OPKs can miss the surge - when I am about to ov I do it twice a day to catch it. My friend never got a positive on an OPK but dtd eod and got pg that cycle.

Now I am going to teach you all how to suck eggs, apologies in advance BUT... Relying on OPKs did not result in me getting pg but did let me get to know my cycle; only when I stopped opks and dtd eod did I get pg too (even though i got lovely strong positives for two days a cycle). What was happening was we weren't dtd enough before the positive opk. You need to dtd before to clean his tubes and get all swimmers up to speed. if you miss a week or two of dtd then loads of the swimmers will be dead or dud

queen if you have ewcm get thee to the bedroom! Don't question it too much, rely on your body and instincts. If I have ewcm/watery cm, am feeling frisky and my cervix is soft and high and open then I just go with it, regardless of the time of the month (eg this month when still getting positive HPTs after mc but that's what my body said so...).

ps queen last cycle (the one I got pg on) I had watery/fertile cm for about two weeks starting on day 6! I dtd every2/3 days in this period, then ov'ed and it all dried up (phew). got pg because even though it went on, and on, I told myself not to question it.

My goodness I was glad to not have to think about dtd any more when the fertile cm went though! (and I had flu then! lush!) good luck :)

WHOO HOO! I JUST posted the same thing on another thread.

Everyone I have spoken to recently who fell pregnant within a couple months didn't OV check - they just DTD EOD (very important to not do it every day) and voila. Bebe.

I also have a mate who never OV according to OPK. The first month they decided they didn't care - they stopped trying, booked in to the doc and had loads of DTD and they fell pregnant that month.

As one of those people who get the EWCM and the spotting so am meant to be super fertile, with regular, short cycles, I have had a positive OPK twice in 10 months.

Thanks for the post Wilde and Kicking. Don't ever worry about lecturing, worst case scenario is you tell me something I already know. You are right about the opks. I just love peeing on sticks though, so addicted but if it is upsetting me maybe I should knock it on the head.

Have brought a stick to work so am going to pee on it in half an hour. God really am an addict I know it is bad for me but I can't stop.

Another advocate here for ditching the sticks and going for around EOD. Used the sticks Jan?April cycles and now going it alone knowing that I OV around CD 16 (which is today but no cm ? weird?!). Feels like a lot less pressure, don't know why it just does!
