Thought I would take the plunge and start the June thread! I won't be getting my May BFP as my cycles are sooooooo long. Who's. With me?

Morning ladies!

So, CD14 here and no sign of OV (which I usually have on CD10). Started poas on CD8, so last stick left to use today, but I already know it'll be negative. When last off the pill, my cycles were 25-28 days.

I now think that I really did ov early. Had LOADS of pink tinged ewcm on CD5-6, but thought then that it was something to do with the end of my period (which lasts 4-5 days) and/or dropping the pills literally just then. We DTD'd on CD7, and I started having dull period pain like ache 'down there' on what would have been 4DPO (presuming I ov'd on CD7). That has continued on and off since then, and I am feeling it more today, along with a feeling of "heat" too (down there).

Obviously I had to google it as thought it was weird, and found out that some people felt that (even from as early as from 3dpo) when they got pregnant! I am now getting stupidly optimistic and excited at the thought that I might possibly already be preggers Grin. I probably just have some kind of infection or my body is playing up as I dropped the pills, but who knows...?! That would make today DPO7, so I am now starting to hope/expect implantation spotting/other symptoms! I shall let you know what happens.

Kicking Thank you for the very interesting info on early/late ovulation, that has seriously got my hopes up now!

wilderumpus -love the thought of babies coming when ready, really sweet Smile

Whenshewasbad - hahaha, loving the wee glass incident Grin

Ted -it's natural to feel a bit down every now and then at the sight of bumps/babies etc when that's the one thing we all want so much. And btw -I am the same age as you, so we are not all spring chicks here! Smile

Littlemiss hope you are feeling better today!

AmayaBuzzbee · 21/05/2012 10:01

Btw, could somebody enlighten me please -what does the acronym DTD stand for?

Dust the duvet? Do the deed? Hmm

redstrawberry · 21/05/2012 10:11

hahaha I quite like dust the duvet Grin
its doing the deed (dtd) or shagging with intent (swi) although not sure why some people call it baby dance (BD) though!

redstrawberry · 21/05/2012 10:16

Amaya I peed on a stick at 6dpo and that was a BFN. Could have been way too early... Now on CD26 and 9dpo and trying to resist the urge to POAS at every twinge or cramp i feel.

4 days to go before AF shows her ugly face. I don't want to build my hopes up as worry they will just come crashing down. I feel a little preggers but not wanting to believe it till the sticks say so.

AmayaBuzzbee · 21/05/2012 10:20

Red, I think 6dpo was way too early! :-D

What kind of symptoms have you spotted?

AmayaBuzzbee · 21/05/2012 10:30

My AF isn't due till 5 June, but if I ov'd on CD7, and got pregnant (wishful thinking!), I should get a BFP early next week, if not at the weekend.

I don't really want to test till a few days after AF is due (in case it's a BFP which I mc around AF so would not have otherwise known), but if I get similar symptoms to what I had with DD, I know I won't be able to stop myself! Grin

The symptoms were -terrible bloating and feeling totally out of breath when walking up a hill. I thought back then I had suddenly become incredibly plump and unfit (had stopped going to gym couple of months earlier and am usually quite fit), had no idea these were pregnancy related until after I got a surprise BFP! Grin

QueenOfTheRodeo · 21/05/2012 10:31

red I didn't realise you were 9DPO today - around 10DPO sounds acceptable to test again? Not that I'm trying to encourage poas madness or anything! Wink

Loving "the reverse winkle" - might try that one later now that I know it doesn't involve legs in air too!

QueenOfTheRodeo · 21/05/2012 10:33

Maybe wait a week from now then test amaya? fx ov did come early for you!

AmayaBuzzbee · 21/05/2012 10:50

Queen, if I will start feeling out of breath or get other more obvious symptoms, then I will definitely test early next week. If not, I'll wait a couple of weeks.

redstrawberry · 21/05/2012 11:04

I have no idea when I OVed for sure, guessing around CD16/17
Then symptoms were some sharp stabbing pains at 3/4dpo,
lots of twinges and pulling sensations in lower abdomen in the following days,
TMI on CM - dried last week but is now getting wetter and a bit lotion like - not much CM though, and lots of CM streaks and blobs on knickers Blush this morning.
Sore boobs started at 6DPO and today very tender to touch.

But all of these could be AF symptoms. Not sure about CM patterns as I am not googling this week (under a self-imposed ban).

Thanks queen tempting as it sounds, I am also not going to POAS till Monday next week at least (testing my weak will power!!)

Amaya we can do it - I need some hand holding to stop POAS till AF due.
When is your AF supposed to arrive?

morecoffeemorecoffee · 21/05/2012 11:10

amaya I would wait as long as possible before testing. Your symptoms are sounding promising though!

I'm currently doing the winkle after Dh came home to pick something up for work Grin . Not doing the revere winkle though!

OP posts:
wilderumpus · 21/05/2012 11:57

morning all!

Still sniggering at husbands drinking from pisspots and the reverse winkle Grin I have a GU ramekin stashed away Wink but am paranoid about lying on my tum after DTD in case it all, ahem, leaks out? but it is meant to be good?

red love the symptoms :) 6dpo impossibly early, but 10dpo all good :) i have been really symptomy (similar to yours) but they are all quiet today.

hmm... I really want to wait until the 1 June to test but am off for a BIG eurovision party piss up with my best mates who haven't seen me at all over the mc saga (are hundreds of miles apart) on Sat. So guess I might have to test then so I can drink guilt-free and relax. i would be (if I did ov when I think I did) about 11 dpo then. Which would be when i normally test but after the mc am keen to leave it as late as possible! arf, what to do.

AmayaBuzzbee · 21/05/2012 13:09

Red My AF isn't due till 5 June, but that was on the pill. It could be way earlier now off the pill, especially if I OV'd CD7. If I get obvious pg symptoms I don't usually get with AF, I'll test early next week. If not, I'll wait till after 5 June. If I was you, I'd wait till the weekend at least. Easier said than done though!

morecoffee -very opportunistic, I like it! Grin

Wilde -would you be able to just have a couple of glasses of wine or similar (instead of making it a big piss up)? If not, I reckon you'd better test on Saturday!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/05/2012 13:12

amaya I agree with morecoffee, good symptoms but hold off poas till missed af.

Wilde don't know what I would do in your case. At 11dpo you should have a reasonably accurate result. I try not to do them too early myself but if you want a drink or two three / four you will want to know.

redstrawberry · 21/05/2012 13:20

I feel like my mind and body are playing tricks on me. Irritated with both.

I am trying to concentrate on work, not think abt symptoms. While reading a document (it was bloody dull) I had a strong spell of nausea. I had it on the weekend.... but its been coming and going and I am not even sure if it can be classed as nausea... heads swimming and feel like closing my eyes and sleeping.

can you use a cheap test wilde? Agree with amaya - might be good to do a test before a fun piss up :)

I shall not test till the weekend

wilderumpus · 21/05/2012 14:04

thanks guys. red sounds very promising, am hopeful for you!

I have twinges in my wombage now and tingly sore boobs hurrah. Oh a lots of v creamy weird CM - globby and almost stretchy but not. Like knackered old glue! tmi Grin but, you know, whatevs symptoms, I spot ye not Hmm

I shall do the test on Sat I think because I could not have one or two drinks; we are best friends from way back to uni times and to not get completely leathered in fancy dress and pass out at 5am would mean everyone would know I was pg or ill :) And i am going to exorcise my antisocial mc demons. I would hate to feel guilty, so test it is. I have lots of IC in as i have been testing daily to get my BFN. Hmm, then i can stop symptom spotting too :) Ok, it turns out I am a May tester... but please can I stay? you guys help keep me sane and feel less alone in the 2ww.

I hope monday is going well for everyone.

icequeenkate · 21/05/2012 14:27

ted - please please don't be down. I'm 38 (so feeling ancient for having no. 4) and have managed to get lucky again quickly. DH still hasn't quite recovered from so much dtd Wink Am absolutely convinced that June will be your month.

wilde - I did my test early as had 2 potentially drunken occasions. The first one was at 10dpo and it showed up, although a friend did the same for similar reasons a couple of months ago and the hpt was -ive so she went out and got hammered then 2 days later it turned +ive. No real way of knowing. Am keeping fingers tightly crossed for you.

Read somewhere last night that if hCG turns up on early testing it's more likely to be a girl. How do they know that then!

winkle2 · 21/05/2012 14:56

wilde I'd do a FRER before your boozy weekend.

morecoffee we had a bit of afternoon delight on Saturday and it was rather nice!

CD15 here. I should be in my fertile period as I usually get my smiley on CD 16 So far we have DTD on CD10, 13 and 14. Might get a sneaky one in tonight or wait until tomorrow ? will see how we feel later. Do not want to peak too soon and tire ourselves out especially as I want us to keep going till about CD24! Have to say it's much nicer without the OV sticks, it feels like we're more relaxed and doing it when we want to rather than when the sticks say so.

tedmundo · 21/05/2012 14:58

you are a naughty POAS early bunch... And now you have got me wanting to as well! but I am not going to as I get very sad with bfns. therein lies the rub.

I am still having POAS action testing for LH so my addiction to testing is at the moment fulfilled.

got a super dark line, darker than control line, for Lh surge today so guess that means OV tonight or tomorrow. Must have caught it on the way up yesterday and peak/way back down today.

this changes my cycle back to a standard 28 day which is what I usually have. last month was 29 but I had a vicious period. I do wonder if it was a cp?

hence the not testing early girls....!

I am getting very excited about these symptoms though. Surely one or more of you is up the duff RIGHT NOW. That is super exciting.

@icequeen .. I do have issues after the MC, about my age, stats on it happening again etc. I am actually a very positive person so try to manage that as well as I can. just some days are harder than others. Keeping busy does help.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 21/05/2012 14:59

Feeling a bit meh......

Had to go into school to meet teachers for ds2 when he starts school in September. One of them, who I've known through school for about 3 yrs says "well morecoffee I was certain you would have another baby! Or will you?!" I mumbled something like "er well who knows, maybe" and changed the subject. In my head I was thinking "arrrggghhh! Of course I want another one!" Then, on my way to school just now I saw 2 mums walking to pick up their dc from school. They were both wearing slings with teeny weeny babies in. Very jealous :( however, surprisingly not actually sad about it if that makes sense. I've reached that point in this cycle where I've convinced myself that this will be my month! This will be the month I get a bfp and it will stick this time!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/05/2012 15:20

Well I can't take my own advice. Have just bought Internet cheapo but apparently v sensitive hpt tests damn you iPhone app for amazon

I should know better, if they are in the house I will test. Angry with self.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/05/2012 15:25

Ooh Ted I always get so excited when I get a positive opk. Was expecting mine this morning but no joy. Was convinced body is broken and there will be no ov this month. Quickly realized I was being stupid and it will turn up tomorrow or day after.

LittleMissSnowShine · 21/05/2012 15:29

lol @ whenshewasbad - u can't be too cross with yourself, yes you'll be poas like a mad thing but with cheapo tests so not spending a fortune. Feel virtuous instead!

morecoffee - i know, people (who don't know me that well) have just started asking / teasing / joking about when we'll have no. 2. I know this is only our 3rd month of ttc and really with the pcos and everything i just need to be a bit more patient but still grr Angry

ted - utterly in agreement now about testing early, after awful chem preg last month. Glad i knew in a way but don't think i could face it again this month :-/ I have DH's 30th b'day tho right around when i'm predicted to be OV but just going to have to take it easy on the Wine cos won't be testing time for me until mid-June with my crazy cycles. We can stay strong and prevent each other from testing too soon!! Must resist!!

wilde - oooohhhh, fx!!!

DS still not 100% well yet and i'm still a bit dodgy so off work today. Great day to be at home, total scorcher!! Just sitting in garden, letting DS potter about.... ahhhh hope to time maternity leave to coincide with some nice weather next year ((thinking positive)) tho if we get our BFPS in June then babies will be here in Feb so prob stinking weather...but anyway!!

RIBS · 21/05/2012 15:49

Afternoon ladies
It's my afternoon off with dd who is just lately being a pain. She will not do as she's told n ignores me. Grr. Weather is rubbish here 2, can't see 4 fog.

Morecoffee, iv got a customer who constantly asks me when I'm having another,I am at the point of saying f-off u nosy old git, iv been trying 2 for a yr and a half and had a mc in Dec. I think that mite shut him up.

Iv just loved the wee glass story. It's made my day. Whenshewasbad, TELL HIM! Then stick his reaction on youtube. I wouldn't b able 2 keep it in.

It's looking good, red and wild! That doesn't sound right does it. Lol.

NicolaHazel · 21/05/2012 16:54

Hi ladies!

I'm going to tentatively throw my hat on the ring, even though I don't think there's any hope for June really!

I took my last pill on Friday, so TTC starts in earnest on Saturday. :-)

I'm 35, but come from a super fertile family, so hoping for the best really.

All a bit new and scary, as I hadn't considered having babies until we got engaged last October. Now I'm slightly obsessed :-(

Here we go though!
