Thought I would take the plunge and start the June thread! I won't be getting my May BFP as my cycles are sooooooo long. Who's. With me?

Wilde personally I still have the odd drink in the 2ww, one if flowerys posts was about the embryo and mother not sharing a circ system till 5 weeks. I think that's when the placenta starts to work (if anyone knows anymore about this please post about it as I am really not sure).

Think everyone approachs it differently, I have always been a everything in moderation kind of girl except last night am still nursing a sore head thanks to inability to know my limits re cocktails

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 20/05/2012 14:00

Urrgh. This is disgusting but quite funny.

I keep a small cup in the bathroom to pee into when using cheapo opks. This morning this small cup had disappeared so I had to go and find another one. Was not impressed as v hungover from night out with dh.

Have just found the original cup next to dh's side of the bed half full with water. He obviously used it in the middle of the night for a drink. Shock Blush Grin

I do at least wash it every morning after peeing in it Grin

winkle2 · 20/05/2012 14:18

Whenshewasbad oh that's gross!!!!

winkle2 · 20/05/2012 14:23

Ted and Wilde - big hugs to you :)

Re drinking I've cut riiiight back and from this month I haven't made any plans to see anyone so I'm not tempted to drink! Sad I know!

tedmundo · 20/05/2012 16:05

@whenshewasbad .. so, did you tell him?! Or just share it with us. Mwahaha.

@wilderumpus .. yup it sucks to be confronted with it and still have to damn SMILE.

Got a mid level line on opks this arvo so guess on for ov tomorrow.

LittleMissSnowShine · 20/05/2012 16:13

Morning Afternoon all!

Oh my goodness, I was sick as a dog last night! Those toddler tummy bugs are absolutely horrific and there's no way to really stop yourself getting them - I was literally puking into the bath for hours, and it was coming out the other end too. Sorry, TMI Blush But flip me, it was nasty!!

Only starting to feel semi-human again today, at ten past 4. Between missing my friend's birthday last weekend with my post-chem preg super heavy AF and spending my saturday night heaving into the bath this weekend, I am truly fed up!!!

So hugs to Ted and Wilde and anyone else on here who is just feeling thoroughly fed up for whatever reason

Flowery - It was my GP who told me that drinking during first 5 weeks was ok (not that he was recommending it or anything but I was having a panic since we'd just had a weekend away in Rome with espresso coffee, lots of wine, unpasteurised cheese, few sneaky cigs, basically all the pregnancy no nos because I had no idea whatsoever that I could be pg) and I've seen it in a couple of other places as well. Obv getting stuck into the vodka and cocaine wouldn't be a great idea, I think the medical answer is that a couple of units a week while you're ttc / on 2WW isn't the end of the world.

WhenSheWasBad - That's hilarious! Say nothing!

Well between all the puking etc we obv didn't DTD last night but might give it a go tonight. I'm feeling a bit freaked out tho, because my HG was so bad when I was pg with DS and I'd sort of forgotten just how awful it feels to be that sick and how incapacitated you really are. But yesterday and this morning I wasn't fit to look after DS at all, I couldn't get out of bed or out of the bathroom, let alone change a nappy or anything. Don't know how I'll cope if I'm that sick again, I can sense I will be leaning heavily on my mum/sis/MIL/aunties/childminder/DH for lots of help...Hope they're feeling....helpful lol

winkle2 · 20/05/2012 16:57

Sounds nasty littlemiss!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 20/05/2012 18:13

Poor you littlemiss.

I don't see the need to tell dh. Have found a solution, bought some gu puddings, will keep the ramekin pot they come in and use that. Smile

morecoffeemorecoffee · 20/05/2012 20:22

Grin whenshewasbad that is so funny!

littlemiss you've had a tough time :( hope you're feeling better soon

Dtd yesterday morning. Getting some ewcm. Also had some tummy cramps today, although more central than either side so not sure if its Ov or not Confused .also vv tired and sick feeling. I had a 2hr nap this afternoon! Hope I'm not coming down with a bug as I have a really busy week ahead.

Think we will dtd again tonight....

Gp told me when I first went to see her "dont use opks or rely on temping because neither are reliable" she said the same as your gp littlemiss -dtd as much as possible all the way through is the only reliable way when ttc...

I am also having a glass of wine tonight!

OP posts:
FloweryBoots · 20/05/2012 20:51

I don't drink much generally any way, the odd glass of wine is about it, so personally I don't feel the need to act differently when TTC. However, Hubs thinks I should not have any alcohol at all except when on AF (so can't possibly be preggo).

Littlemiss, hope you're recovering. I picked up a tummy bug from DS a while ago and it left me SOOOO weak. Fortunately my stomach is hard as nails and I didn't vomit, but felt really rough and didn't eat for three days. Tried to walk up the stairs at work when I went back and had to stop for a rest as I was so feable! They SUCK! Has Mr. LittleMiss sucumbed too?

DS had random morning nap today (doesn't normally do that) which proved a very productive time for me - did the washing, vaccumed all downstairs, unloaded and re loaded dishwasher, tidyed kitchen, and still had time for a quickie and a winkle before he woke up Grin.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 20/05/2012 21:16

floweryboots I'm impressed with your use of time during Ds's nap!
I am also not much of a drinker. Gone are the days of 3 or 4 boozey nights out in a row! My average consumption is about 1 glass of wine a week! Although this week I've had 2.

I will be flying off to the canaries in a week. I can't wait! We all really need a holiday. Dh works so hard and I have been on the verge of burn out with my last job. Ds1 has been working v hard at school and us doing well, but has a couple of medical problems that get him down. So we have been counting down the days for this holiday for a while now! Ds2 starts school in Sept, so I will be cherishing the next few months I have with him!

Looks like I will have to poas while on hols! Will hopefully log in and update if I get my bfp! If not, assume its a bfn and I'm over indulging in the local honey rum while its 'safe' to do so!

Blush I bought a baby bjorn sling today Blush. Might be a bit premature (but it was an absolute bargin at a car boot sale)!

toobreathless · 20/05/2012 22:35

Floweryboots we have a baby bjorn & it was great with DD. I will come clean & admit that I bought £36 of maternity clothing from JoJo last week. I just couldn't resist the skirts were only £5 & I got a coat reduced from £89 to £14. Oooppps! I figure that if I don't get pregnant I would make money on them by listing them on eBay in September/October.

wilde nice to see someone else on the 2ww. This is my first 2ww & it didnt even occur to me to take care with diet/alcohol etc I will admit to being pretty boring clean living most of the time anyway. I drink very little, don't smoke but do have a coffee habit. Luckily I couldn't stand the smell/taste during my last pregnancy.

littlemiss hope you feel better soon, how miserable!

toobreathless · 20/05/2012 22:39

Sorry, just had to look back & check what CD I'm on, memory of a sparrow!

So it's CD23 here, I've bought some clearblue digitally from amazon tonight. Can't do anything else as my mind invents lines! Will be giving them to DH & aiming to test June 1st. We shall see!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 20/05/2012 22:50

flowery I did a car boot sale today! Sold loads of our baby stuff :( I had a clear out and secretly hoped selling the stuff would have the 'sods law' affect and we will get pregnant this cycle......... It will be a nice problem to have if we do indeed need to replace all the stuff I sold today!

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 20/05/2012 23:09

Bought a dress off next maternity in the sale a few weeks ago too...have a few weddings coming up over next lot of months, so... Blush

Mr Snowshine proving remarkably resilient at avoiding the bug, me and DS still struggling - think it'll be a day off work 2moro

morecoffee - sounds like yr holiday cant come soon enough! We had a teletext last minute break to lanzarote in feb, loved every minute!!

QueenOfTheRodeo · 20/05/2012 23:10

ted I know how you feel, seems like everyone is pregnant at the mo and I find it hard sometimes not to feel a bit jealous.

I had half a bottle of wine and a few beers last night - on CD6 - feel a bit bad now?! Confused Thought I might as well treat myself while af was still here though!

QueenOfTheRodeo · 20/05/2012 23:15

oops pressed post too soon!

whenshewasbad thats hilarious about the cup! Don't tell him!

littlemiss hope you're feeling better soon.

morecoffee so jealous of your holiday! My parents have just come back from the canaries and said the weather was gorgeous.

winkle2 · 20/05/2012 23:51

Just dtd and the winkle again! I've also heard that lying on your front is a good idea so I'm doing that too!

wishfulthinking1 · 21/05/2012 05:58

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/05/2012 07:49

The reverse winkle, Grin

Am on cd16 today, the day I normally ov on but no positive on opk. Feeling like ov is close though. Lots of ewcm, sex drive high. Will dtd and the reverse winkle tonight.

LittleMissSnowShine · 21/05/2012 07:54

Pinkie29 · 21/05/2012 08:06
