wilde this is the closest photo I could find to my cat .. Especially the second photo.

Sorry, a bit of a cat fan here...

winkle2 · 18/05/2012 15:06

In costa coffee and eyeing up one ladies Cath Kidston baby bag!!

wilderumpus · 18/05/2012 15:06

ted that is a bear-cat! So fluffy and what a lovely colour! My kit is a moggie I think. Rescue cat, black and white tuxedo stylie. I know naff all about cats, am traditionally a dog person! This cat has me flummoxed but gosh she is lovely. She is so shy but gutsy. One thing i am surprised by is how smelly and prolific her pooing is! and not in the litter tray yet, ho hum. Got a book coming... I need a book for everything, me.

amaya who knows what is up in the first few cycles off the pill, tho I missed one or two randomly one month and made DS! I would keep on with the ov sticks just in case and not assume you have ov'd necessarily. The pink might have indicated a small withdrawal bleed? Sorry if I am telling you what you already know.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 18/05/2012 15:10

Ov can happen early, but everyone is so different! I would keep testing, just in case!

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 18/05/2012 15:14

Afternoon all, TGI Friday etc Grin

Amaya - Apparently, yes, you can OV at any time in your cycle. Zita West uses an example of a woman who OV on CD6 and who just thought the thin bit of blood in her CM was the v end of her AF. So there u go, if u see any symptoms of OV, no matter what day you're on, go grab your OH and DTD and keep fx!!

Dreamy - If you find a formula for a laidback child let me know, have one full time, full energy, hi-occtane monkey mischief man on my hands already, two would be a bit crazy! I'd like a nice, quiet, bookish, girly girl next please ha ha

morecoffee - love the idea of a bit of just dance! hee!

I'm making us lasagne for dinner, got some red wine - we are broke broke broke this month cos just got new central heating system put in, we're getting a teeny tiny little outhouse thing built out the back of our tiny bijou terrace house and on top of all that our shower has packed it in and we need to get it replaced next week. Groanz! This bit about only having a part-time salary is tough going!!!

GP was ok this morning - good news is that she seemed to take me seriously enough (cos i have heard of ladies who already have one or two DCs being dismissed when they are having probs ttc the next one) and she's scheduled me to have bloods done on CD2 or CD3 of next cycle. She's also written to hospital to re-refer me to their fertility clinic again. I never made it there the last time because I go pg before appt came thru so fx that happens again!! Slightly strange bit (or so i thought?) is that she's also asked if I can get DH to come in and see her for a chat and see if he'll consent to having his semen tested. Previous GP saw from my notes that I had pcos and just referred me straight to clinic, no need for DH to be seen at all. I suppose it makes sense, in that just cos I have an identified problem and crazy cycles doesn't mean that I'll necessarily be the hold up in us getting pg. But I just thought it was a bit strange that they want to see him too this time given that i've obv still got pcos, they didn't want to see DH before, and we've got DS already. Anyway, just wondering, have other ladies' DHs been called in?? I don't think he'll be too impressed at having to go!! Hmm

winkle2 · 18/05/2012 16:12

Glad the docs went well littlemiss :)

morecoffeemorecoffee · 18/05/2012 16:12

Hi littlemiss funny you mentioned about your Dh....I expected my gp to want to see my Dh especially as all the tests and scans they did on me came back as normal, but she said no Confused however the fertility clinic appt was for both if us. Glad you had a positive outcome from your appt.

70% of women OV before day 10 and after day 17

Just so you know :)

morecoffeemorecoffee · 18/05/2012 16:24

Really kicking!? That's a really high percentage! I usually Ov late due to ling cycles, but I have Ov very early on rare occasions too.

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 16:30

I ovulate early as well (I think).

They did an experiment on a bunch of women trying to conceive.

They found that like 68% of women would conceive within 6 months. That women who ovulate early or later than the supposed "norm" would carry healthy babies to term.

I think the hard thing is that everyone is so different, but we are so desperate to know so they average things out and they make us believe that we are all the same.

I have been on this site for what...two weeks? And one thing I have already seen is that we all have completely different symptoms for the same thing. And when one person says, you're DEFINITELY pregnant because I had that with my first pregnancy - they're wrong and your DEFINITELY not pregnant.
Or visa versa. Only, I'm not pregnant :D

I read sites all the time about the symptoms of fibroids. Lemme tell you - I nearly bled to death about 4 times? They all bang on about Tranexamic Acid and that did nothing for me. I bled straight out, had a blood pressure crash, a fit and an ambulance visit.

Everyone is different. Every single one of us is different.

There's no comfort in that :D

wilderumpus · 18/05/2012 16:58

that's really interesting kicking thanks for that! i ov on day 19/20 so don't know why I am surprised but just thought I was odd I suppose. Am really sorry to hear about your fibroids and the awful symptoms, that sounds scary.

Sounds like a good appt little am glad they are taking you seriously. Not yet had to go in for fertility issues so not sure about protocol, but it seems nice they are interested in DH too, like it is a team effort, despite your PCOS?!

mmm lasagne. Boring tuna pasta bake here!

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 17:07

I had a myomectomy for the fibroids which I believe excludes me from natural birth. I am happy to have an elective caesarian and would push for that anyway... Fibroids all sorted now so no problems there

But just try to remember that we are all unique and our bodies really do do their own bloody things :)

I need to remind myself of that too in June :D

morecoffeemorecoffee · 18/05/2012 17:29

Kicking its really interesting what you've said. We do all think that unless your cycle is x days and you Ov on x day you are abnormal, when infact there is no normal. Makes me feel a bit better about my screwed up cycle/body Grin

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 17:32

Yeh that's it. My cycle is (normally) exactly 28 days long, but I don't ovulate any where NEAR what's "normal".

With fibroids, I still have never met anyone who had the severity I had. I basically haemorrhaged for a year. Yet when you read accounts, they say that you can live without any symptoms and some people have "heavy periods". Blimey. I took pills to stop the haemorrhaging every single day and if I stopped them, bang - back in hospital.

So cling very tightly to the fact that your body probably knows you better than you know yourself and if your not pregnant now, its because it's holding a secret for us and protecting us.

Someone said to me that my body would do anything that is nature to get me pregnant. I do believe that :)

winkle2 · 18/05/2012 19:02

Wow kicking! Interesting!

I usually OV around day 16. I hope I don't OV early cause I never start dtd till day 8/10!!

wilderumpus · 18/05/2012 19:22

kicking I love that you said about nature and getting pregnant. I got pg with DS by accident (happy one mind) and the MW at my booking-in said that some babies are just ready to come along :) I loved that and with the mc and looking forward to a new pg I really hold that thought in my mind. My next baby is 'there', somewhere, waiting to come along when they are ready.

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 20:46

I like how you said that. Our babies are there waiting for us :)

I had a coke at the pub. instead of a glass of wine that could have landed up in a LOT of wine. That i actually didn't feel like.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 18/05/2012 21:33

Really interesting posts. Given me lots to ponder.

Have dtd am on cd13 and only just started dtd. Have been using opks so sure I haven't missed the egg.

dreamydays · 18/05/2012 22:01

kicking, wilde, I love that idea, have been mulling it over this evening.

winkle2 · 18/05/2012 22:19

Girls what do people do who don't drink on a Friday night?! Jeez!! Soooooo bored!

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 22:22

My DH and I drink juice and watch movies. Its nice to not worry about waking up tomorrow for work.

We also go out for dinner other take the Clipper up the Thames and walk around.

KickingUpQuestions · 18/05/2012 22:31

God that bored me!!

We've only just hit our thirties!!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 18/05/2012 22:36

@ winkle dh and I put the kids to bed and if we havent eaten with them, we get some food, watch movies, sometimes put xbox on, waste time on mn Grin

Love a good night out, but rarely get one, nightmare trying to get babysitters for us and our friends have the same problem....

Don't really drink much, if at all any more. Getting up at 6/7am with the kids and doing things like taking ds to football club, playing in the park etc is a nightmare with a hangover...

Wow, what happened to my life?! Hahahaha!

Ladies, don't feel bad - I'm 27 - no kids yet, DH is asleep on the sofa, I'm watching TV and playing on MN... this is what my life has come to!

I'm trying to tell myself that its because af is here, and if it wasn't then our entire Friday night would be spent in bed but think in reality DH would probably still be asleep on sofa and I'd still be on MN Grin
