Thought I would take the plunge and start the June thread! I won't be getting my May BFP as my cycles are sooooooo long. Who's. With me?

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 14/05/2012 09:34

Sorry - clarification:

My breasts got sore yesterday and are worse today
I should have had AF yesterday but didn't
I tested this morning with Superdrug supreme and got BFN

RightUpMyRue · 14/05/2012 09:42

Morning all,

Just logged into FF and I've been given 5 free VIP days because someone signed up to it via my chart homepage, was it one of you? If so, thank you! Smile

I knew we'd get to the thread limit before we got to the end of May, too much to say! I'm not due to test until the 25th according to FF so I'm almost in June for that...

I've had a headache for 3 days now, probably due to stress rather than being PG. We're moving house this Friday and I feel a bit overfaced by everything we still have to do.

Anyway, enough moaning! How is everyone else? Anyone seen curiousgeorgie or Hai? They've not been around for ages...where's RIBS and morecoffee too? I need to know what's happening in their pants!

LittleMissSnowShine · 14/05/2012 09:44

ted - love doing cycle legs as DH backs slowly out of the room towards the bathroom head in hands hee hee Brew for me please, ta Wink

flowery - my DS also loves shouting BABY and BABA, not sure how he'll feel about having one of these little people moving into his house and touching all his toys tho lol

icequeen - u guys can just start a May thread part 2...tho of course ur v welcome on the June thread too!

redstrawberry best get your hubs a can on WD-40 for his machine parts hee

AF from hell continues, CD3 now, hoping by CD5 i'll be back in business tho! taking my supplements / agnus castus / trying to temp tho. Not sure if my thermometer is just crap but my temp has been wildly diff for past 3 days. Or i'm a freak! either way...

redstrawberry · 14/05/2012 09:48

Morning Ted - haven't tried the cycling thing yet.
Had a lot of symptoms this morning - cramps (probably from stuffing takeaway all weekend) and mild nausea. Nothing now. On the dreaded 2ww now with no clue as to when OV happened.

Got a friends birthday to go to this weekend - not sure about the vino - tbh dont really feel like any at the moment.

RightUpMyRue · 14/05/2012 09:55

Littlemiss temps can often be a bit screwy during AF, don't worry, you're normal! I've never managed to temp properly before but this cycle I have and it's been so reassuring seeing the thermal shift and seeing a normal pattern. Even if it makes no difference to actually getting PG it's good know things are going on in there like they should be. Smile

mrsmellow · 14/05/2012 10:44

Hello Ladies, can I join the June thread?

I'm probably going to be testing on the 1st June. CD1 was 17th April, but I've had very long cycles (39-43 days). We've been TTC for 10 months and I had a scan at 6 months which showed I had polycystic ovaries so we were referred for further investigations (privately). I had my appointment this morning and the scan showed a 19mm follicle so I've either just ov'd or am just about to (which I'm pretty sure is the first time since starting ttc based on symptoms and ov sticks). It is very exciting, but I'm now on a 2ww of sorts - 1st June is 18 days away, if I'm very brave, I'll wait to test until the 5th or so if AF doesn't arrive in the meantime (chance of not testing on the 1st - slim to none Grin ). We've been dtd every other day and will continue for another week or so (just in case!).
I'm trying to be sensible and remember that each cycle has a 20% chance of success.... but fingers crossed anyway!

QueenOfTheRodeo · 14/05/2012 12:36

Hi ladies can I join the June thread too? I'm posting on another couple of threads so recognise some of you. I had thought May was my month but had BFNs and although af isn't due until tomorrow I'm getting cramping etc today and pretty sure af will be with me by this evening. I'm due to ov again at end of May and will be testing mid-June.

Massive congrats to wishful with the first BFP of the thread! Really hope June will be lucky for the rest of us too Smile

LittleMissSnowShine · 14/05/2012 12:53

mrsmellow - me and kyliep on this thread are also pcos ladies so welcome - there's lots of sympathy, tea and support for irregular cycles and unpredictable OV over here!!

welcome Queen, i'm testing mid-June too after a disappointing May. June will be the month for us!!

Rue - thanks for the reassurance! like you i kind of don't know or care whether the temping will help much in ttc, esp since i def wasn't doing it the last time, but i'm interested in seeing if everything is kind of working like it's supposed to!

Pinkie29 · 14/05/2012 13:36

Can I add myself to the testing list??

I'll be testing June 18th if my cycle is 42 days again depends if the vitex alters my cycle length, not expecting a big change for a few months and starting my cb monitor next month Smile

RIBS · 14/05/2012 13:55

OMG- CONGRATS WISHFUL.
I don't know, u have a busy wkend n miss a bloody great bfp!

U feeling a bit better Winkle? This ttc job is just awful at times n it can get u down. Don't v just hate it when people say, your trying 2 hard just relax and it'll happen. C how they f@@@ing feel a year or 2 down the line and afta mc.

Anyway I tested yest bfn as I thought. Ov sticks n cm tell me I ov'd cd 16, I'm now cd 32. So that's lp so far of 16 days. But temp hit the roof and have stayed up on cd29. Sore boobs have gone. I think iv had the ov surge but nothing happened and I think iv ov'd cd29. Very confused. I'm just gonna c what happens.

When is AF due?

redstrawberry · 14/05/2012 14:14

Ah! good to have some more for the 1st mrsmellow
AF is due end of May, but will test on the 1st June if late.

hehehe littlemiss will mention that to him next time he whinges!
your temps are crazy and my CM is crazy this month...

I think Mays becoming very unpredictable - I hate not having control over any of this ttc business.

I think someone's having a good laugh - as if this waiting wasn't torture enough - its 'bring a baby into work' day or so it seems - theres prams and babies galore in my department - WTF!

Welcome queen and mrs mellow

Sounds promising kicking... :)

I'm ok guys apart from having a barney with the husband last night about his drinking. See this thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/1472020-To-think-this-is-too-much-alcohol-for-hubs-when-TTC

Big sigh!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 14/05/2012 14:33

Hello queen and miss mellow.

kicking hope it is af (since you have had the bfn) and you can start fresh for June. Best of luck everyone.

tedmundo · 14/05/2012 14:50

oh my eyes .. My eyes ...

winkle you should have put a hazard warning on that AIBU thread. Never ever let your DH see that thread. There were some waaaay OTT responses on there. They were a whisker away from "leave the bastard"

It does sound like he likes a drink, but having known a real alcoholic there is no way I would class your DH as one. He isn't hiding the drinking, it isn't every night. So he uses booze to de-stress .. Well so do I.

tedmundo · 14/05/2012 14:53

Posted too soon...

Was going to add that prior to TTc, I had a glass of wine most evenings. It helped me unwind after a long day with 2 young boys and I would start dreaming about it round about bath time. I am not an alcoholic. honest.

winkle2 · 14/05/2012 15:01

I know he isn't an alki, I think I was just having a release by posting that thread!

We're ok today :)

tedmundo · 14/05/2012 15:06

Glad to hear that you know that!! I was worried for a minute there.

he sounds like a very normal bloke, who likes a drink and to socialise. My BiL is exactly like that and he is a FAB dad to my DNs. My DNs are 9 and 11 and have known for years that some mornings they just have to be very quiet around Daddy!

winkle2 · 14/05/2012 15:30

Thanks :)

mrsmellow · 14/05/2012 15:37

Thanks for the welcome! This is a very active thread...
winkle that thread went stellar! It is stressful - we haven't really changed our lives too much for ttc, we still drink wine with meals every several nights a week and eat well, exercise and have just one coffee a day. The only real change is ensuring we have sex every second day and taking folic acid.

To someone upthread asking about dtd every day around ovulation -the fertility specialist I saw this morning said there was no need to do that - every other day was enough - and especially if there were semen problems. Just that, 10 months in, every other day for 5 weeks gets tiring enough! Blush Wink

winkle2 · 14/05/2012 15:43

Thanks mrsmellow, it was me who asked about dtd every day. I'll stick with eod!

RIBS · 14/05/2012 16:42

Boys will b boys Winkle. Mine's just been on a 4 day bender on a stag wkend. Beer 4 breakfast etc. 11am til 6 am. He didn't feel very well 4 a few days mind u. But we go thru a bottle of wine most nights. But we've cut it down 2 wkends n Weds only. We're both self emp n it takes the edge off.
We're a bad influence on each other.

Mrsm. I thought it was eod but every day around ov? Is this where we're going wrong.

Kicking. Af should have been due sat if I ovd when I think I did. But last lp was 18 days, I didn't think it was possible. But pcos n Clomid, so nothings the norm 4 me! I'm in a permanent state of bewilderment about what's goin on downstairs.

Hi 2 all the new joiners, even tho I'm not technically supposed 2b on this thread. I need a ttc but no clue where or when I have a chance, thread.

KickingUpQuestions · 14/05/2012 16:48

RIBS

I agree! Start that thread!!! :D

One thing I have learnt is that (honestly now) there are no pregnancy symptoms. Nothing makes sense.

I was due yesterday. I could have sworn I implanted on Saturday. I have had cramps since Friday (today has been a bit better - last night was worse).

Still no AF though. And no BFP

winkle2 · 14/05/2012 16:49

Ribs we were dtd eod but every day around OV and nothing as yet :(
