state that's exactly how I am - I had a scan last week at 11+2 and everything looked fine, but I can't get it out of my head that there will be no heartbeat at my official 12 week scan on Tuesday - this metalling is no fun :(

StateofConfusion · 28/04/2012 21:52

Its reassuring to know I'm not alone in feeling like this kirrin its like I'm going crazy sometimes!

StateofConfusion · 28/04/2012 21:57

Sorry if this is TMI, just went to the loo and had a v small blob of clear jelly type mucus, smaller than a pea but freaked me right out! Anyone?

JaffaSnaffle · 28/04/2012 22:32

State, I would mention it to the MW, but probably nothing to worry about. I think cervical mucus can be a bit odd when you are pregnant, and there can be lots of it too. I think the main concerns are if there is an odd colour, if you itch or if it smells bad. Mine is sometimes a pale yellow, which 3 different midwives have now said is normal, but I metal on and will ask another when given half a chance Blush

StateofConfusion · 28/04/2012 23:16

Thanks jaffa, no smell or colour just a very small 2mm maybe clear blob, I do feel ahem, rather 'wet' whilst pregnant. Seeing mw friday will mention it x

MissCoffeeNWine · 28/04/2012 23:26

Ahhh, mucus. I get lots of that. I swing between being really happy because the gush isn't my waters then metalling that it's my mucus plug coming away Blush TMI but I get more mucus after sex which does not make me randy there is something of a twice weekly drought going in in the Coffee house

Super happy for far and jaffa and sounds positive for tits I wish you all advanced kicky little beanies very soon to put your minds at rest. I have to say Little Miss Coffee seemed to know her mother is a hardcore metaller and has booted my insides regularly for the past 7 weeks, very reassuring.

Fingers crossed for Mumtum I've been there, twice, once for spotting at 6 weeks, no HB, and once for pains at 5 weeks, no HB. Both times I waited 2 weeks and went back to see a HB.

MissCoffeeNWine · 28/04/2012 23:28

Oh and manda you look fabulous dahling.

StateofConfusion · 29/04/2012 00:25

misscoffee sssh, my dp would be thrilled at only 2 wk drought, the metalling has sent me so do lally I won't let him near me, just incase. He is patient and tollerant thankfully --i however want to smother myself hahaha--

Tiago · 29/04/2012 09:10

state I am also mentalling about the scans. I have one booked for 14.5 weeks and despite everything looking perfect at the three previous I have been convinced (at each scan) that this is the scan where they will say " sorry, but..."

I feel particularly worried now as I have officially told my dad he will hopefully be a grandad, so just feel as if I have jinxed it.

StateofConfusion · 29/04/2012 11:26

I've just told everyone who matters tiago figured if it happens again ill appreciate the support. And I'm trying to do everything different this time in hope of a different outcome.

squeakymac · 29/04/2012 15:24

Hi all,
decided to hop on this thread - went off the pill early February, had a 'period' about a month later, then found out was pregnant 2 weeks later (proof checking CM regularly helps figure what your body is up to!) - unfortunately miscarried a few days later, bleeding / spotting went on for about 2 weeks and just had first normal AF, so properly TTC again now....

Love hearing everyone elses stories - so hard when friends / sisters etc are getting pregnant at the drop of a hat! and people definitely underestimate how hard even an early MC is to go through. I didn't take any time off work during it - didn't think I needed to and then was nearly having a breakdown by the time I realised I should really have taken a couple of days to absorb everything happening!

Interested if anyone is using things like acupuncture to help TTC after MC? or any other tips / advice?

TitsalinaBumSquash · 29/04/2012 17:45

Afternoon all, miserable rainy day here, I've been up early and gutted my whole house out with DP and the kids.
We're waiting for burgers to be delivered now then I'll be back to tidying while DP does the bedtime routine.

Not felt too bad today, feeling slightly sick now but popped an anti sickness pill so hoping it works quick enough before I blow.

We saw the Avengers yesterday, it was AWESOME!!! Grin

I have already told college I'll be in for just my exam and assessments this week and nothing else, college has been a real struggle the past coupe of weeks so I'm scaling it down this week.

I hope everyone is doing ok and not letting the mettaling fairy get the better of them.

MarthasHarbour · 29/04/2012 18:01

tits i read that as 'we are waiting for the burglars'

Hmm

missc i loved your sashay into the thread, you might wanna - you know - make an entrance into, say, the ILs in a slightly more demure manner Wink Grin

StateofConfusion · 29/04/2012 18:07

Bacon cheese burgers Envy

I know I'm pregnant, I have to really fancy what I'm eating. Bacon sandwich and pringles are on the menu Blush

JaffaSnaffle · 29/04/2012 18:26

So the good news is that I might, might, be feeling kicks. I know it is tres early, but I think it might be. And puts my grumpy hat on to say, this is my 4th pregnancy, so anything might be possible.

The bad news is that I am metalling about my DD. She is in a very odd phase, tantrumy one minute, and lovely the next. She is 2, so I guess it is not odd. But what is particularly hard is she is very strong, and careless about clobbering me. She loves clambering all over me. We went swimming, and she booted me many times, (by accident), once in the tummy, quite low, just above where your leg joins. I am trying to get a grip, I read in the pregnancy manual that the sorts of blows you need to worry about are falling down stairs, car accidents, put you in hospital type things, but still, I am worrying. I have not told her I am pregnant, because I am terrified of having to untell her. For me, this is my worse time. Once this time passes, I will tell herMy late mc baby died somewhere between 12-16 weeks. I have a late scan at 16 weeks, but it will only be then that the freaking out will die down, a little bit...

kirrinIsland · 29/04/2012 18:26

I'm still in my pjs Blush took one look out of the window this morning and decided it just wasn't worth even thinking about going out, so we've poottled about all day. And Harry Potter is on tonight - it's like the perfect day!

Welcome squeaky good lucid with the ttc. I've never tried acupuncture. I used a CBFM which works for me.

kirrinIsland · 29/04/2012 18:28

Lucid? Luck!

StateofConfusion · 29/04/2012 21:19

Jaffa how far along are you?

My dd is 3 and going through a similar phase, elbows are always digging into me, and feet when shes on the sofa with me! And my 4yo, well there are no words for his moods, he headbutted my tummy today and i may have had a slight breakdown at him.

sounds like a good day kirrin

MarthasHarbour · 29/04/2012 21:41

jaffa my DS is almost 3 and is the same, he banged his head today and had a right good bubble followed by a big beaming smile and a hug for mummy Confused

right i am on crisps, wine and MN rightmove looking for our forever family home, in a nice area with good schools and a not so nightmarish school run, near to tram into Manchester, four bedrooms, garage, shed, huge garden and decent parking..... on a measly budget Hmm

WhyAlwaysBoris · 30/04/2012 07:33

Morning everyone,

Just popped on to catch up,
i hope everyone has a good monday :)

Good morning ladies Smile

Firstly < piles in full English and heaps of thick cut white bread with boreal butter, coffee, tea (including decaf) >

I'm suffering what I call ninja sickness, which I must say I prefer to the all day nausea, it's quite inconvenient though when one has a mouthful of toast and suddenly there is vomit, everywhere. Hmm but I feel a lot better. Huzzah! Smile

I think the house being clean and clutter free helps though, I feel somewhat lighter. quiet day for me today, grocery shopping after the school run then nothing until a quick exam at college at 2.00pm.

I even found a pair of jeggins that I fit into and paired with a long top and cardi I look well, okish. Grin

Anyway.

Today I am pregnant.

WhyAlwaysBoris · 30/04/2012 08:18

Good luck with your exam, tits

Tiago · 30/04/2012 13:55

Please slap me with a wet fish. I will officially be 13 weeks tomorrow and so in with an excellent chance of actually having a baby. I have therefore spent all of today so far essentially holding my breath waiting for the other shoe to drop and it all to go wrong.

Good luck tits

JaffaSnaffle · 30/04/2012 14:19

Only if you'll slap me back tiago. I have a nice kipper handy for us both. It is like the more unlikely a mc is, the less I can believe everything is ok.
I have spent the day bracing myself for bad news, convinced that when I go for the NT scan on Weds, they will tell me it's over. I have mc after a scan, but rationally I know it's not likely to happened again, and yet here I am panicking like an idiot.

sunshinesue · 30/04/2012 15:07

slaps to the ladies that want them Grin.

I know what you mean jaffa the further along I get the more real and more unlikely it seems at the same time. I don't have any kids so it's nigh on impossible to shake the feeling of impending doom. I know what I'm doing as far as a mc goes, I've no idea how a successful pregnancy feels. Got my first non-emergency scan on Saturday, just hoping I get that far, I don't usually manage to make it to the scheduled scans as it all goes wrong first.

squeakymac i've had acu after my first mc. I love it and really do think it's helped me but it's not for everyone. I'm not an expert by any means but if you've got any questions on the specifics let me know.
