Morning, I should think about getting up at some point, I should attempt eating but really don't want a repeat of yesterday.
I might try some plain bread and see how I go.

MarthasHarbour · 20/05/2012 14:59

pebs you ARE one of us so please stay, i went through a similar phase when i took a break but really missed you all. the support here is phenomenal and tbh we would miss you too much Blush you are going through a transitional period (urgh hate the P word) and we are here for you as much as always

good to hear from you IQ and glad to hear that miniIQ is stamping her mark on the world already Grin

come and sit next to me in the VIP area, i am going through exactly the same as you at the mo and it is bliddy scary no? i think you are going to be ok as it is probably old brown stuff

my brown stuff is still here but i am still trying not to metal, positives are that it is brown, no red, not enough for even a panty liner, no cramps, it is on and off, did two ICs with a strong line on each. and i am 4+6 today Grin

StateofConfusion · 20/05/2012 15:33

Just checking in and trying to keep up with the posts.

Had really bad (sicky) stomach pains yesterday ended the day being really sick and sleeping 12hrs, woke up feeling hungry and sick, worrying a bit as last night my boobs ached more than ever and then this morning nothing, now mildly Sad

JaffaSnaffle · 20/05/2012 15:57

Hello to new people! Sorry you are here, but it is a lovely thread.

Manda, thinking about you. Hope you have had some rest, and that the measles outbreak has died down. Really hope your DD is on the mend, and your other children have been spared.

MsCoffee, viability! So pleased for you. Can only get better and better :)

Pebs, I hope you stay on here. x

I just want to feel my baby kick. I am 15+2, so hopefully it is imminent, but it would be so reassuring. Avoided the doppler because I am scared of them and think they would add to the metaling, but would just love to have something to hang on to...

sassmonkey · 20/05/2012 16:21

Hi everyone,

I live in Canada (but joined Mumsnet when I lived in London and was having DS), and it's morning here so I'm very haltingly carrying a hee-oooge stack of pancakes dripping with real maple syrup and a platter of salty, smoked bacon over the the VIP area. Once VIPers have tucked in, everyone else can!

state via my own manic metalling, I have noticed that my boobs often hurt a lot less in the morning, and more at night, so could be all normal. Sorry to hear you were so sick.

jaffa I'm 11+5 and desperately monitoring for kicks for the very same reason! I felt my DS kick at 16 weeks so you might well be close to it. I suspect I have a long way to go...

manda congrats on your (not so) wee one! I hope everything at home settles quickly and you can enjoy all those supersweet newborn cuddles.

Hello to all the new joiners like me, this is a helpful place to be.

Thanks everyone for sharing your knowledge about slapped cheek/parvovirus. I'm still waiting for the blood tests to come back to find out if I'm immune or not. I woke this morning with headache and sore throat so I've IMMEDIATELY gone into panic mode about increased chances of miscarriage, yada yada. I'm just going to try to sleep and coddle myself today and make it all go away. In happy news, I had a Dr. appointment for something else last Thurs and she said she'd listen for the heartbeat - and found it!! Hurrah! So that was staved off the metalling for 1.5 days... :-D

Hope your days are full of lovely Sunday-things.

backwardpossom · 20/05/2012 18:41

Manda huge congratulations! :)

I bumped in to my midwife yesterday (last time I saw her, I was 6 weeks pregnant) and she said she'd just heard and how sorry she was etc. She told us just to get trying again asap and not bother waiting for a period. So we are. Wink Of course after dtd last night, the post-mc bleeding/spotting has returned. That's normal, right?

StateofConfusion · 20/05/2012 19:23

backward it returned the morning after I dtd the first time, then went again the next day.

Thanks sass that's reasuring :)

What's the rule with slap cheek? I had it as a child, one of the first confirmed cases in the area, does this make me immune? Like cp?

InsomniaQueen · 20/05/2012 19:31

pebs don't go!!!

You don't have to be TTC - yes it's mostly about having babies but the thread is full of our general woes and funny moments. Plus we all want to be here for you when you do get your BFP and hold your hand through everything that comes with it.

I have a little one - post MC, if anyone should find a new home it's me but I don't have anywhere else I feel "at home" so I shall just keep lurking until there are enough of us for a graduates thread. Blush

InsomniaQueen · 20/05/2012 19:39

Oh and Martha I had that with my pg - I was told to take it easy and just rest and it would settle on it's own. The main thing is that it's brown - sometimes your body just takes a little while to realise that things are changing! Xxx

pebspop · 20/05/2012 19:51

I will be sticking around - I am not attention seeking honest!!! Just feel a bit out of it as I need to wait for more tests before ttc.

There was a really good thread in mc for testing but most of the posters had babies and left the thread so I will just have to stay here and tell you lot my problems!!

NoMoreMarbles · 20/05/2012 20:59

hi everyoneSmile

hope everyone is well on this lovely sunday eveningSmile

CONGRATS to all the new BFPs!Grin

pebs please keep posting! i know how you feel as i have been there and actually bowed out of a thread or two as i felt the same (i eventually was the last person without BFP/baby on 2 threads in a row- i seem to be a good luck charm for others but not for myself- i took a 6 month MN break after the second one) it is so hardSad it is a help and hope (and sometimes a source of Envysorry Blush) to be here for me, in a place that i know there are people who wont judge, who will listen and who understand...they know...as sad as it may be, they know. Here is a place that regardless of the test you are getting, the experience you are going through, the feelings you are having...there is someone here to hold you hand and share their own things that have helped them... plus, i like you...you seem niceSmile

manda congratulations on the birth of your lovely DSGrin hope to see you here from time to timeSmile

hi to everyone elseSmile

i started my new job on tuesday!! i LOVE it!! and i am, for once, looking forward to going into work every day! makes a difference! i am actually happy with everything at the mo!!...all i need now is that elusive BFP and all will be right with the world...talking of which...off to ravish DH or i will never get oneGrin

MumTumWanted · 20/05/2012 21:35

Hi all hope everyone has had a good weekend x I've not caught up but I will. Pleased (?) to report I made it through the weekend with no bleeding so fingers crossed I won't start to naturally mc. I've arranged child care school run etc and work all so Wednesday is now as organised as ur can be though I have to be in the ward nil by mouth for 7.30am so early for me !

One question because I stupidly still have the hope that the sonographer got it wrong and I do still have a bean in thereSad will they rescan as a precaution before I go down for the erpc?

Also how long did u need to physically be ok up and about driving etc after u had the op? Obviously I know to expect bleeding for a couple of weeks but just mentalling about daily life going on Blush

And advice gratefully received xxx thanks ladies

pebspop · 20/05/2012 21:43

I have never been scanned again before erpc. You might be able to get it done but you might have to ring ahead to arrange it. When I went in I was on gynae ward for the op along with people having normal gynae ops. There was no chance for a scan.

I was told not to drive for a couple of days due to general anaesthetic. My dh said you might not be insured. They also tell you not to be alone or use kettle etc for 24 hours (I make the most of this!!)

pebspop · 20/05/2012 21:45

Thanks marbles!! I am nice lol!

Let's hope you get the bfp soon to make everything perfect!

BlueCrane · 20/05/2012 21:45

Hi mumtum glad you have not had any bleeding. When I went in for my erpc they didn't scan again I'm afraid, I don't know whether this is something you can request though? However, at the scan where it was agreed we'd go for the erpc they could see the sac starting to collapse which they said was a sign things were starting to sort themselves out naturally (though I didn't bleed before the erpc and had to have a pessary inserted to soften everything up before the op so think it would've taken weeks for my body to actually sort itself out IYSWIM). After the erpc I had the usual side effects of having a GA (sore throat etc) and bled for the first couple of days and then it eased off to just needing to wear a pantyliner, with the odd gush of blood that would appear now and then. You should be fine to drive within a day or so - mainly depending how you feel. I took the following week off work. In some respects I cold possibly have gone back (physically) but mentally/emotionally it was important to have the time to try and sort my head out a bit. The other important thing is to get some cheap preg tests in (I used ICs) and test each week after the erpc until you get a BFN...the only time I have actually wanted to get one but it was important for me to a) know that everything had gone and the hcg was working out my system and b) know when it was 'safe' to consider ttc again as we wanted to 'casually' DTD asap even before my first AF turned up. I really hope that helps. It really is a v tough thing to go through with and so tough to get your head around. I know that seeing the sac collapsing on the scan helped me to be sure it was ok to go through with the op.

Midgetm · 20/05/2012 21:48

Mumtum just a quickie. Don't think they do rescan as they only send you when sure but I am not 100% on that. Often wondered myself.

The anaesthetic can wipe you out a bit and your tummy feels a bit blown up sometimes but I have had EROC and been back at work 2 days later. Wouldn't advise it but physically I was ok. Other times I have taken the week off. I find them pretty straight forward and just make me a but sore.

beat go, just didn't want to read and ignore. Data roaming will catch me. Night night.

ConfusedMumDotCom · 20/05/2012 21:49

Hi mumtum I had another scan before they started the EPRC, but I knew it was all over as I believe I passed it all naturally two hours before the procedure. I guess I was "lucky" in a way as my mc did not hurt and was not very bloody. The hospital did the EPRC anyway, just to make sure. My big fear was that the mc would happen naturally before I got to hospital, but it wasn't was bad as I had thought it would be. Hang in there, wednesday will be here soon. I'm 3 weeks past my mc and beginning to see more light than dark.

MarthasHarbour · 20/05/2012 21:50

mumtum i really dont know but you are not 'stupid' because i would feel exactly the same way, i would want to see absolute proof before going down the ERPC route, and if you are not bleeding then, well lets just say i am totally with you so demand ask for a scan.

marbles i am so pleased that you are enjoying your new job, i know things have been crap up in the air for you job wise lately so brilliant news and thrilled that you are in your happy place

MarthasHarbour · 20/05/2012 21:52

midget are you STILL on holiday

Envy Envy Wink

WhyAlwaysBoris · 20/05/2012 22:06

Hi Mumtum I really wanted another scan as i hadn't had my glasses with me (stupid!!) at the 20 week scan when they picked up the baby had died and i couldn't see the screen very well and i just somehow couldn't believe it, (probably shock). I asked about ten times if i could have one, but no go. I hope you have more luck but prepare yourself just in case they won't. Hope you are doing OK this evening.

Pebs very glad you are staying around :)

I'm still in denial. No bleeding, so we'll see. Had 3 dreams last night that i was bleeding heavily, waking up being upset. In the end i just got up.

Opened the letter i got from the hosptial to see that they have moved me from august to july but the appointment is now not with the consultant but some junior person. Now understand why the secretary did not ring me. Really cross. Started an aibu about it and got some really good advice though, thank God for MN in general and you all in particular xx

kirrinIsland · 20/05/2012 22:38

I also didn't have a scan before my erpc, but the no heartbeat was confirmed by a second sonographer at the original scan, so I guess it wasn't necessary.
I had a couple of days off work, but tbh, I felt ok the next day, apart from the bleeding.

Dorita75 · 20/05/2012 22:40

I had a scan before it mumtum because I'd passed a little clot the day before and thought that was it, so the scanned me. I hadn't but the nurse was lovely, and did say the sac was starting to break down.

Take a good book with you on Weds in case you're waiting. I took a week & half off work afterwards which was just enough for me, you'll prob feel tired the first day or too, from anesthetic if nothing else so try and keep a day or 2 free for some sleep if you can. Hope it all goes well, will be thinking of you.

NoMoreMarbles · 21/05/2012 07:42
