Oh Smegs - I'm so brooking. And hear so many tales of short bleeds in the first trimester. Lots of love.

Sorry about others' AFs - what a complete cowbag she is.

Have as good a weekend as you can, ladies.

Just de-lurking for a moment to offer lots of No Brooking that all will be well for Smegs.

ScrambledSmegs · 21/04/2012 11:39

Hi everyone. The power of brooking is holding for now, but I have to admit to feeling very low today. I have barely any ms and just feel different.

Thank you for all the lovely wishes. Boo to evil AF. Hope all have a lovely Saturday.

Smegs x

Geeklette · 21/04/2012 12:26

Thanks for the update smegs, still brooking like mad for you. Hopefully it is just a sign that you are moving on from the ms phase of things. Fx for you.

~tmi alert but as this is my first month of symptom spotting I really want some insight to know whether I am just going mad~

I am on CD38 of my current cycle. Had loads of crampy type days in the last fortnight and my temps have been quite even, bouncing around the 36.1/36.2 mark, with the odd 36.3 thrown in for good measure.

I have really interrupted sleep, waking naturally two or three times each night and am often not able to get back if I wake around 5, before the alarm goes off at 6.45. I temp each time I wake and this morning plotted it all on a scatter graph (what can I say, I am a control freak). I have a deffo temp shift for my 4am-6am readings, and have had a sharp stabbing stitch-like pain where I imagine my right ovary might be for the last two days. Today is day three and it is much sharper.

Ok ladies, here comes the TMI bit... I had a bit of a solo frolic this morning before getting up (about 2.5 hours ago ish). About an hour ago I noticed some categorically EWCM that I have not seen since my last period. Does solo frolicking generally produce that type of CM, regardless of the phase, or could it be that I am FINALLY ovulating? I have never paid it any attention before so have absolutely no reference point for comparison. I'd pretty much written this cycle off as being anovulatory.

Can't POAS until 3.30 this pm (if I wait the full four hours).

I really need to get to grips with my ov identification as MrGeek was only given 4 little blue pills so don't want to waste them on infertile times.

Sorry for the long (and definitely far tmi) post.

Sorry sparks, and thanks for your response. There's tmi and then there's ~TMI~, just had nobody else to ask... to be honest I think it's one of those things that if you're not paying specific attention to it, you don't really pay much attention... now that I am actively watching out for EWCM I have to wonder if I am just being a bit overly hopeful. However, I will do the sensible thing and POAS a bit later. To avoid confusion, no more solo frolicking methinks!

Smegs still brooking super hard for you my dear

Geek since TTC I notice every little twinge, I think it is only natural to notice things that before wouldn't have even noticed. If EWCM is unusual for you, I do think that is something you would notice if you had it in the past, then it could well be a sign of ovulation. I would make use of one of the blue pills if I were you Wink it could well be the time. Trouble with temping is the rise only comes after ovulation has happened so you could miss it.

Am sort of pleased AF has made an appearance to I can go out get lashed with my friends this afternoon to celebrate three of them reaching the ripe old age of 40!!! OMG I have 40 year old friends, downhill to our pensions Shock Grin

beangrower · 21/04/2012 14:47

40s are not that bad Sweetie... Blush Most of my 20s and 30s were a rollercoaster and I'm rather enjoying the quiet life now the big 4-oh has passed. If only TTC hadn't become an issue. Have fun and get stylishly trashed (like a 20something)!

GenericDietCola · 21/04/2012 14:55

Smegs I am still brooking all is fine with MiniEgg.

Geek I notice every little thing now, where I didn't before. However, I get really strong ov pains, so it could well be that you are ovulating now. I would risk it and use one of those pills anyway! Good luck!

Sweetie sorry about AF, but good that you can see the bright side and have a great night out!

Sparks great news re the peak! Get SWI girl!

Geeklette · 21/04/2012 16:08

Thanks generic, I've never been aware of ov pain before or even if I had it so who knows, this could still just be last night's pie beans and mash playing me up! Sweetie, after this mammoth cycle I am terrified to miss a thing! Enjoy your night out Wine

sparks fertility friend is my new best friend - I've been living on there since I first heard it recommended here about three weeks ago. I also decided to go for the paid-up subscription, I liked the idea of being able to add my own bits and bobs, it's just a bit too soon for me to start seeing patterns (I am so darn impatient - I don't just want everything now, I want it yesterday!).

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/04/2012 16:36

I'm glad the spotting has calmed down smegs - have you managed to speak to anyone about it? I think it's normal to have good days and bad days, brooking this is just a 'good' day. Xx

beangrower · 21/04/2012 16:46

Smegs - is it worth asking for a scan or will you wait til your 8wk scan? Poor you, feeling low. We are all thinking of you (have been on here today because I'm worried about you). xxx

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/04/2012 17:15

(by good/bad day I mean the morning sickness. Really not with it today!)

ScrambledSmegs · 21/04/2012 18:28

Hullo all. Just a quick update to say no spotting at all today, and ms back with a vengeance! Daring to be a little hopeful.

In other news, I have thrush. Talk about insult to injury Angry.

Smegs out (for today) x

cakes82 · 21/04/2012 18:42

Smegs Sounds like a positive day! I think I saw somewhere that infection can cause bleeding/spotting, so the thrush might have played a part?

GenericDietCola · 21/04/2012 18:45

Oh yes Smegs - I think it was likely to be the thrush causing the spotting. Hurray for thrush!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/04/2012 19:09

Yay smegs that's super positive! :) :) I didn't know thrush could cause spotting but it stands to reason - to the gp with you! :)

ScrambledSmegs · 21/04/2012 19:25

Really? I did wonder, but was a bit iffy about consulting dr google. Thanks guys, I will go to GP asap.

You guys are all lovely. Really really lovely. Thank you. I've been sobbing in various bathrooms yesterday and today, and it's really only you lot who've kept me (mostly) together. (((((hugs)))))

TheLittleFriend · 21/04/2012 19:38

Smegs I have never been so relieved to hear that someone has thrush and morning sickness!! Lots of love to you xx

Sorry about the BFN pip, and AF's arrival sweetie. I didn't bother poas this morning. I'm spotting and got the usual pre af cramps, so just waiting to reset the CBFM to day 1 and get started on next cycle.

I was so hopeful about this month after swi on both peak days. Boooooooooooo.

Geeklette · 21/04/2012 21:31

That's excellent news smegs (never thought I would hear myself say that about somebody having thrush!) xx
