The last couple of threads got lots of people pg. Let's hope this is another lucky one.

OP posts:

Grin thanks whims. I knew you guys would return me to normal service!

Fluffy apparently HSG won't have affected the baby at all. Nurse had seen this exact scenario once before, she was very kind and understanding.

I guess it explains why my pregnancy test was so strong, and why I got morning sickness so 'early' in my pregnancy. Still very Shock though.

jenfraggle · 30/04/2012 16:22

Wow, Smegs! You are so good at this baby growing malarkey that you were doing it without realising it for 4 weeks :o

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 30/04/2012 16:24

Wow, I'm so surprised that HSGs don't affect babies, I'd have just assumed, you know? I'm so pleased for you :) Do you have to go back in a week for a nuchal, then?!?! :o

:o Jen

ScrambledSmegs · 30/04/2012 16:24

Sorry, x-posted. No, I didn't get a pregnancy test before my HSG. They just asked if I was pregnant and I said no - I'd had a period at the normal time in the normal manner (4 days proper bleeding) and no sex since as prescribed. Honestly, in that situation would you think you could be pregnant?!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 30/04/2012 16:25

xpost! No totally not, I'd have 100% thought I was not pregnant too... though didn't musical have a proper AF but be pg? It's obviously more common than we think :o

ScrambledSmegs · 30/04/2012 16:27

cartoon HSG is x-ray of your insides with dye to show insides clearly. V good way to check fallopian tubes are clear.

I need a tea. I'm still shaking a bit, even after a restorative Macdonalds(!), trip to Waitrose and cycle ride home. Face keeps defaulting to Shock

Solars · 30/04/2012 16:34

Smegs Shock wow that is amazing!! So glad all is well :)

Calamityboo · 30/04/2012 16:42

jen how are you doing my lovely? Are you still really sick? I hope you're feeling a bit better now, and getting lots of rest before D-Day.

Smegs x

Calamityboo · 30/04/2012 16:59

Unbelievable Jen, I am in the right place. Wink tis fab here!!

jenfraggle · 30/04/2012 17:06

Sickness passed thanks Smegs, it was just that 1 day so could have been something I ate. Am 37+1 now so just waiting for something to happen. Got the snooker to keep me occupied in the meantime

ScrambledSmegs · 30/04/2012 17:12

Glad to hear it jen. Fx for you.

Btw, snooker? Are you trying to bore that baby out?! Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 30/04/2012 17:13

smegs thats awesome news, you are a true brooker with a bean that has held on through an hsg! Brilliant. Grin

GenericDietCola · 30/04/2012 17:23

Wow Smegs that is amazing! How wonderful that you have skipped 4 of the most worrying weeks! And in a way it's a blessing that you didn't know you were preg earlier because you would have had that bleed and thought it was all over! Wowsers!

Maybe and Sparks are now my friends - hurrah! Can one of you add me to the secret group?

I'm in Copenhagen for work (kind of nearish to Beedle - geography not my strong point) so best get on.

farfallarocks · 30/04/2012 17:27

smegs wonderful news indeed and although a huge shock, you are almost out of the first trimester which has to be good news.
November babies are lovely :)

ScrambledSmegs · 30/04/2012 17:28

jen, nooooooo! I know I can learn to like snooker, for you.

Now, golf, no way. Tell me you don't like golf...

ScrambledSmegs · 30/04/2012 17:30

Btw, thanks all. Got to go and find my ante-natal fred and tell them I'm moving up a month. I've been a bit lax though, bet they have absolutely no idea who I am!

jenfraggle · 30/04/2012 17:38

I don't like golf, credit me with some taste :o

I've watched snooker all my life, my Dad watches it so I grew up with it. I've been a Hendry supporter since the late 80s. Some really tense matches today

Just remember, all the best people have November birthdays :)
