I have already posted this in Chat, and I have had one possibility, but what do you think? Is it likely?

We are ttc, I have a 4-6 week cycle, currently 5 days over the 6 weeks, I have poas got 2 bfn's, had a nose bleed last week, last one was when I was pg, have thrush, last time I had this I was pg, my boobs were really really sore last night so I massaged them and drops of liquid came out and it happeed again this afternoon(though I was trying to see if was still happening). Have any of you wise MNrs had this? And what did it turn out to be? My second bfn was first pee this mornin.

In case it is important I have had a bit of a cold all week as well.

The lovely ladies in chat suggested that the folic acid I have taken (sanatogen mum and mum to be) may be aking me have these symptoms, have you heard of this?

When is AF due? what brand did you test with, was Iran internet cheapie? Maybe poas in another couple of days with a clearblue or first response.

Sounding like a bfp though! Good luck!

Calamityboo · 01/04/2012 19:12

Last Tuesday was the due date if it was going the whole 6 weeks, it has never gone over 6 weeks before, usually it is closer to the 5 week mark. The tests I used were the clearblue, not digital, just the normal ones.

Calamityboo · 01/04/2012 19:14

What does AF actually stand for? I assumed it was the evil monthly gift that taunts us?

OP posts:
fanjodisfunction · 01/04/2012 19:21

if you have a cycle that is changalve like that I would carry on testing every two to three days, you may have ovulated late which means it may still be early for a positve test. If you still have symptoms after a week or so maybe two and still having the symptoms then I would go to the doc's.

Milk is a very good sign that you are BFP.

AF does mean period.

Calamityboo · 01/04/2012 19:24

Thank you fanjo, may I stamp my feet and say I WANN KNOW RIGHT NOW, ok got that out of my system. I thought the milk was a good thing but presumed that if my hormones were there to start the lactation, then my wee would have heard about it as well IYKWIM.

AF = aunt flo aka period :)

Yes, I would keep testing in another day or two. Then if still nothing, ask for a blood test from gp?

It is sounding promising though, just maybe taking a while to show up on a test.

Calamityboo · 01/04/2012 19:27

Thank you, am allowing myself to be a little excited now. Will test again middle of next week!

Hai1988 · 01/04/2012 19:30

It does all sound promising, i would leave it a few days then test again if af doexnt arrive.

Af = aunty flo

Hai1988 · 01/04/2012 19:34

Sorry x posted there as left thread open and forgot about it for a while and didnt refresh

Calamityboo · 01/04/2012 20:39

That's ok, I feel daft for asking just got all confused by the bfn's. Have no one in rl to ask as they do not know we are ttc, and have played it down with DH as he got really excited when he realised I was late, don't want to disappoint him. Glad I know what af is now, I made it up in my head to mean ahh f*it!

OP posts:
Calamityboo · 02/04/2012 16:47

Got a bit over excited and poas today, still bfn :( will let you know if af turns up.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 03/04/2012 21:55

Hi I'm faith.
What time of day have you been testing? You'd be best off testing with fmu first morning urine as it's the most concentrated. I'd also agree the clearblue aren't especially sensitive despite the price and either the internet cheapies if you can wait, or first response early response tests are quite good. Superdrug have a purple dye so they have clear lines spot the long term ttcer
Good luck!

Calamityboo · 03/04/2012 22:19

Hi faith, I have done 4 now, at different times of the day, using the ridiculously expensive clear blue. I am now over a week late :( I feel like this is it, just can't get that all important bfp. I will have a look for the super drug ones, they are presumably cheaper too?

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaithBaby · 04/04/2012 07:06

I think you can get superdrug for about 2 for £6! Somehow the clearblue imply they are better for being so expensive but they aren't very sensitive at all. Yes I'd get those and leave it another couple of days then test first thing in the morning if there's still no af.

Calamityboo · 04/04/2012 08:04

Will do, I will post back here and let you know!

TheCatSofa · 08/04/2012 09:11

Hi Calamity,

Hope you have got your longed for bfp by now, i just wanted to empathise with you as I am 2 weeks late but have just done a clearblue and got a bfn. I've had tingly nips, cramps and weird cravings for food i never eat (liver anyone??!!). I've been TTC for 2 and a half years now, have been on clomid for 6 months (didn't work..) and am now waiting to start ivf but before I can i have to have an HSG and i have to book it on day 1 of AF so i am really really really feeling your frustration!!!

I'm trying so hard not to think about the possibiity of being pregnant cos i don't want to be disappointed again so i'm just telling myself i'm not. It's very unusual for me to be this late though so I can't stop my brain whirring around...

Best of luck to you!

Calamityboo · 08/04/2012 11:22

Thanks thecat, but still getting bfn this morning [busad] actually wishing af would just turn up now and I can put this behind me and start trying again. Still got sore boobs, still got tightening feeling in my lower tum, still feel a bit light headed all day (I am smug like that, never had morning sickness just light headed and nauseous) everything is screaming baby but I can't seem to get that bfp!

OP posts:
Calamityboo · 08/04/2012 11:29

Sorry thecat I forgot to wish you luck as well, sounds like we are having exactly identical weeks! I will hold you hand if you hold mind until we get our answers!

OP posts:
TheCatSofa · 08/04/2012 23:02

I know what you mean about wishing AF would just come, it is so frustrating waiting and not knowing. I'm still a bit crampy, tired and feeling a bit sick all day but that's probably cos of eating so much! With me I reckon it's most likely my body hasn't adjusted to coming off clomid so there's no point getting excited. Ah well.. It's good to have a hand to hold! Everything is crossed for you calamity, good luck!
