Just Shagging - the lazy way to make a baby! Part, um, 8?

Over the last year or two we've had a thread for those who are Just Shagging. Confused by OPKs, too lazy to temp, can't read a chart to save your life? Not quite ready to forgo the Wine? Well stick with us!

Of course it's been SO successful that we're down to a tiny handful of regular posters, as everyone else has graduated and we'll ignore the fact that those of us that are left are probably way beyond Just Shagging. But it's an ethos rather than a strict rule. Come and join the fun Grin.

No rules here, other than EWCM is hereafter known as Pant Snot. AF is known as the Evil Red Tide of Doom (ERTD). Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

So don your shag capes and throw your legs in the air caution to the wind :)

Old thread here if you want proof it works!

Hi folks - I've just spent ages catching up on the news and its been a rollercoaster...
I have at last got a job and today was my first day - and this is my treat to myself to finally catch up on mumsnet!
Big hellos to new faces and a wave to those that (unfortunately) are still around...

somethingwittynot · 14/05/2012 22:10

its freaky being here by myself its weird how different night is to day

ChildOfThe1980s · 14/05/2012 22:29

Thanks everyone. Of course I had got my hopes up. My last cycle was only 29 days, and I hate that it's not more predictable.

Hope you are ok something. (Hugs.)

somethingwittynot · 14/05/2012 22:49

south, that bit of grim humour made me laugh: we are all JS&B! It sums up how I felt last week on my holiday-honeymoon with my ridiculously long period. Just heard today that a mate is three months pregnant! So, there is good news to be had. We just have to wait our turns and enjoy JS (and bear with the &B) in the meantime. night all :-)

topbannana · 15/05/2012 09:00

Well if we are playing the JS Top Trumps, I reckon I have to win the relic section as DH is a regal 60 years old. Not something I would have done by choice but I wouldn't change our family for the world :)
As for AF, I was 14 so about average really.

AWomanCalledHorse · 15/05/2012 09:44

Stuck, hope the new job is to your liking! And is alot closer to home!!

south Grin that made me laugh, grim but true!!
Hurray for your friend mandasand!!
top, you win!
something, how are you today...how was your night alone? x

I shall be jumping DH tonight, oh yes I will!!

babylann · 15/05/2012 09:58

I told DP we were gonna ' make love' last night, and make love we did! Sex had become quite routine and mechanical, so I decided we needed to check ourselves and it was lovely. Reminds me of what we have been lacking last night, our lips barely parted from start to end, it was very intimate.

I'm very loved up today!

Sorry to hear your news something, I honestly wasn't expecting it... I had a dodgy looking bfp once that turned out to be wrong so I can appreciate your disappointment. Turned out I'd just bought a faulty batch of tests, the line was slightly diagonal and faint but it was definitely there.

Hope everyone is okay and enjoying this arctic may weather.

KickingUpQuestions · 15/05/2012 10:25

I am still missing AF

Still no BFP

Still waiting until Thursday though

mandasand · 15/05/2012 10:42

thanks, woman! it cheered me up a lot to hear about my friend, especially because she's in the same line of work as me so I can watch her example of how to juggle the kinds of projects we work on around pregnancy and after!

kicking, hope your ERTD stays away!

enjoy your Wine and Biscuit, south :) I always enjoy a bit of a splurge during ERTD.

sounds lovely, babylann! i just love it when that happens. it just takes a little bit of effort to make it that extra special :) worth it, especially when it leaves you on a high for ages!

today's news is that I think I have detected what is unpoetically referred to as pant snot! i've noticed it before without realising what it signified, but now i understand what it's all about i shall be jumping my husb the moment he walks through the door tonight, hehe! :)

south, I'm sure I will turn into a Envy if too many more months pass without a BFP, hehe!

Kittenkatzen · 15/05/2012 11:21

Morning ladies......so sorry to hear about everyone caught by the ERTD :( especially big hugs to something. Here's hoping everyone has better luck next month x

mandasand how funny, I also heard from a friend that she's 3 months preg yesterday too! Has anyone else noticed how as soon as you decide to TTC, suddenly the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD is pregnant?! Sigh Envy. Still, I'm going to think positive and have decided that there is clearly something in the water round my way and surely I can't escape it! :o

On the JS top trumps, my DH is 2yrs younger than me at only just 30 so I won't be winning that competition!

Got my period at 16.....my younger sister had had hers for almost 2 yrs at that point, and when I told my mum I got " well it's about bloody time...!". Which was nice.

tiredteddy · 15/05/2012 12:02

Hi all, I am also still waiting for ERTD to arrive. I am on day 30 and trying to hang out testing as long as possible. I was really snappy with my lovely boys this morning so feeling super guilty. Sad I should be grateful for who I've got I know, feeling a bit hormonal it seems!

KickingUpQuestions · 15/05/2012 12:02

Hey teddy

When was/is AF due?

somethingwittynot · 15/05/2012 12:26

yup as soon as we dicided were were gunna ttc my SIL fell pregnant obviously im thrilled for her as they were originally told they wouldnt be able to have children and had resigned to that fact :) i was with her when she got her first bounty pack and first baby clothes though she hasnt even had a 12 week scan yet. she had a scan at 5 and there was a heartbeat but i off all people know that anything can go wrong loosing a baby at 16 weeks.

MIL is a hypocrite she doesnt have enough money to even pay for half of the £106 cooker bill she stitched up with. she originally said that she would pay for it to be installed. she has now said that she will buy BIL&SIL a brand new pram/travel system, cot and nursery set, clothes and toys and probably everything else. she told them not to buy anything till they had at least had the 12 week scan but she took them pram and cot shopping the other day? WTAF? crazy.

were are now JSing in the bed DS came along in hope its the bed of conception! Grin

tiredteddy · 15/05/2012 12:44

Hi KICKING, AF was on day 32 last month but usually about 27 days. So could be late or not who knows.

Hi SOMETHING, your MIL does sound a bit odd offering to pay for things she can't afford. Must be hard to deal with that. How are you today?

KickingUpQuestions · 15/05/2012 13:02

When was cycle day 32? Are you like...three weeks late?!!!

somethingwittynot · 15/05/2012 14:16

someone just posted a picture of a postive pregnancy test on facebook if thats not a slap in the face i dont know what is.

am ok today thanks feeling alot better am off to get DS weighed hes 16 weeks now! at 12 weeks he was 11lb 14oz so any guesses?

KickingUpQuestions · 15/05/2012 14:36

That's a bit early though - I wouldn't post a positive test. First (healthy) scan maybe.

Sorry anyway :(
