Just Shagging - the lazy way to make a baby! Part, um, 8?

MuddyWellyNelly · 27/03/2012 22:38

Over the last year or two we've had a thread for those who are Just Shagging. Confused by OPKs, too lazy to temp, can't read a chart to save your life? Not quite ready to forgo the Wine? Well stick with us!

Of course it's been SO successful that we're down to a tiny handful of regular posters, as everyone else has graduated and we'll ignore the fact that those of us that are left are probably way beyond Just Shagging. But it's an ethos rather than a strict rule. Come and join the fun Grin.

No rules here, other than EWCM is hereafter known as Pant Snot. AF is known as the Evil Red Tide of Doom (ERTD). Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

So don your shag capes and throw your legs in the air caution to the wind :)

Old thread here if you want proof it works!

KickingUpQuestions · 14/05/2012 16:21

Something - I thought you had a few BFP's?
You have a few days until you would have AFed??

tiredteddy · 14/05/2012 16:30

Hi SOMETHING, did you make an appointment with the GP to get the BFP'S confirmed? Hopefully if you leave and make a nice comfy thread with lots of tea and pregnant talk we will all come over to join you each Bringing a nice BFP with us! (don't go yet)

mandasand · 14/05/2012 16:31

thanks, tiredteddy! all the running around was definitely worth it and I'm sure we'll slowly get sorted out this week :-)

sorry to hear about your troubles banana. can I ask how old is 'relic old'? my DH is 40 and I'm 37. the nurse at my doctor's surgery has been telling me to get started on the family for a couple of years now, because my fertility was, in her words, about to noise-dive, but does the same happen for men too?

kicking: i had my first period when i was about 11. i was definitely in primary school and it was awful because everyone thought i was skipping swimming because i was being pathetic rather than on my period. it was bad enough being the first to have to wear a bra and get changed in front of the boys ...

somethingwittynot · 14/05/2012 16:51

i have had a faint bfp every day since i was due. its just not getting particually stronger or darker. i dropped forms off at new docs today can ring for appt tomorrow but like they say a line is a line

KickingUpQuestions · 14/05/2012 17:04

How long has that been?

somethingwittynot · 14/05/2012 17:19

i was due 3 days ago

KickingUpQuestions · 14/05/2012 17:23

Any idea when you could have implanted?

HcG increases from implantation and should take about 5 days to show up in your system.

After 5 days, the hormone doubles every 2-3 days.

So you should see a difference the next time, I reckon :)

somethingwittynot · 14/05/2012 17:35

i have 28 days so should have oved around day 14ish no idea of implantation no cramps or spotting. strong af cramps the day she was due and a few twinges yesterday but today nothing apart from lack of energy and looking like im wearing a pizza on my face.

KickingUpQuestions · 14/05/2012 17:41

easiest pregnancy ever?!!!! :)

AWomanCalledHorse · 14/05/2012 18:32

Sorry about the BFN Kicking & all your lady bits problems, so glad to hear you have an awesome supportive DH. x

Tired he's still being a nightmare, although he's tiring himself out crying so much he's having more (shorter) daytime naps so at least I get more of a break!

I didn't go through any puberty-ness until I was 15 (last one to start periods etc).

something, how is DP feeling about it all? Is he celebrating or waiting until you get a dark BFP?

somethingwittynot · 14/05/2012 19:12

Well ladies my bfp wasn't getting any stronger and now I know why. Must of been a chemical as I am now bleeding :( so now were back to shagging I'm not gunna lie I'm gutted but everything happens for a reason

ChildOfThe1980s · 14/05/2012 19:16

That's me out - just got ERTD - so a 31 day cycle. And I had so many symptoms too!

I got my first period and bra when I was 10. Wasn't best pleased.

ChildOfThe1980s · 14/05/2012 19:17

Sorry to hear that something :(

KickingUpQuestions · 14/05/2012 19:18

ah that's crap something. so sorry :(
sending positive thoughts and vibes your way

tiredteddy · 14/05/2012 19:20

Sorry to hear your out for this month CHILD, hope you have more luck in your next cycle. Does it help you see a pattern of 31 days?

And sorry to hear / read that ERTD got you after all SOMETHING. Sad it makes the acronym ERTD very apt I think. Gutted for you.

AWomanCalledHorse · 14/05/2012 19:24

Sorry to hear you're out for this month Child
Oh something, is DP at home? Hope you're not feeling too upset. (hugs)

KickingUpQuestions · 14/05/2012 19:25

lollypopsicle · 14/05/2012 19:33

Oh Something that is gutting. sorry to hear ERTD got you too child

somethingwittynot · 14/05/2012 19:33

thanks guys dp is here but going to work in half an hour ill probably be on here all night as its my first night alone here

LHStripsTease · 14/05/2012 19:58

Hello Ladies! Day is about to end and I still have lots to do... although i went to the swimming pool as to try to keep fit. And when I got home, I could not stop it and again...my addiction to the Strips made me take one more predictor strip and test again ! I am so stubborn, thanks god DH is not home, he would roll his eyes lovingly and would laugh at me staring to the strip. He says he will confiscate them!!! oh! no! ...anyways, it was a BFN -obviously!- And I only have few left now. i better defray from using them until next week.

Something congratulations again! I am very happy for you! You can still be in this thread, can't you? My sis says that JS just doesn't have to end necessarily once pregnant, so, legally you can still sneak into this forum... or perhaps we all the rest should try to accelerate and join Something in the "other thread" OT.

Well, Kicking, ok! it is a no! (Hope not! you will see) so resume activity and liberate yourself from the worry, I need to have an example,...for next week when I will be left alone with the few strips left and ready to test... so scary. BTW, I recall that last year, exactly a year ago or more, my periods became irregular (more even) by no apparent reason, and twice I had delays with very strong pains, very awkward pains, my mom (wise moms!) suggested that it could be a false (chemical therefore) pregnancy. At least it is good because conception takes place anyway. But, seriously, we should go less by the books and more by the guts and (I am saying it for me and my strips addiction) let time pass... easiERly said that done.

TopBanana House will be fine soon, once I heard someone saying that if it was not for women in prehistoric times, men would have never evolved, ...because women probably kept putting curtains, pictures, cleaning and adjusting the cave when men did not care about it! ;)

TiredTeddy! how are your DS1-2? and yes...hopefully we will join Something in the "After JS Thread!"...

mandasand you sound quite relax, that is good! it takes me ages to unpack sometimes!

Well, as per the gossip since mentioned, I was 13years old I think when I first got my AF. And my sis explained me what it was, luckily we were attending the same school (only girls!), but I have only been aware of the length of my period since I was 23 or so, always 30-35 days, until now, that since September (had a curettage) it turn into 28 days, quite exact. Dunno the reasons.

Anyways, going to put the bread to the oven! Poppy seed bread!

oi oi oi! i am so sorry! i had not seen it on time!
dear something i am very sorry to hear so! no worries darling, get some ice cream or melt some chocolate watch a show...or go to bed after a nice and reassuring shower and a nice new pajama! it helps me to make this effort, so that feel less miserable in this situations. ANyways, nothing to feel miserable about really, as you said, it is always for the best.

And Child sorry for you too! How disappointing, but the good news are that we have more months ahead of JS! ;) always look at the bright side of life...

Well, sad evening after all. Wish I had refreshed the thread before sending my last post! umh! long life to chocolate and ice cream.

mandasand · 14/05/2012 20:13

oh no, sorry to hear about the ERTDs...yes, I second the suggestion to eat lots of choc and generally look after yourselves, child and something xx

somethingwittynot · 14/05/2012 20:40

i have no pain killers in. i have vodka Grin and have had a couple of fags. after this though i have dicided to give up smoking even though i was only a casual smoker so at least something positive has come out of a negative.

DS is snoring and its very cute. stuff like this makes me realise how lucky i am to have him.
