Just Shagging - the lazy way to make a baby! Part, um, 8?

Over the last year or two we've had a thread for those who are Just Shagging. Confused by OPKs, too lazy to temp, can't read a chart to save your life? Not quite ready to forgo the Wine? Well stick with us!

Of course it's been SO successful that we're down to a tiny handful of regular posters, as everyone else has graduated and we'll ignore the fact that those of us that are left are probably way beyond Just Shagging. But it's an ethos rather than a strict rule. Come and join the fun Grin.

No rules here, other than EWCM is hereafter known as Pant Snot. AF is known as the Evil Red Tide of Doom (ERTD). Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

So don your shag capes and throw your legs in the air caution to the wind :)

Old thread here if you want proof it works!

dogeared I've been watching those, they're great and have given me lots of ideas, although she strikes me as totally potty?

something that does sound like maybe a UTI. Lots of cranberry juice and get yourself to a GP for them to check your urine.

somethingwittynot · 03/05/2012 20:20

its like an achy crampy pain and its actually wearing now. thank fuck

somethingwittynot · 03/05/2012 20:23

*off

Persuasion · 03/05/2012 20:36

I'm glad it's going, I hate having pain but not knowing what's going on. Givne the amount you're JSing though it's still worth seeing a doctor, UTIs are easy to detect and treat but can be really nasty (and painful) if you leave them. Hope it's sorted soon Sad

somethingwittynot · 03/05/2012 20:43

yeah thats my to do for tomorrow register at a g.p

Pinkie29 · 03/05/2012 20:43

hi all I've posted a few times and still lurking Smile

something I'm very prone to utis and lots of sex has brought them in in the past, I always go loo after (know that's difficult when ttc!) my main symptom is I'll go pee then once I've stopped I feel as tho I need to keep going? Like when you stop mid flow? Very uncomfortable feeling defo get to the doc tomorrow and they'll give you antibiotics for a few days to clear it up

PERSUASION things to do in Rome, all the obvious really like the coliseum, vatican museum, Trevi fountain and any number of the beautiful churches there are in every corner. We had a horse drawn carriage ride around the sights which was fabulous and the guide spoke great English, the central museum has a great lift to the rooftops and you can see for miles. Lots of gelato is a must! We had a car and went on a couple of day trips too, bonmarzo north of Rome has sculptures along a trail that are huge and amazing. We went up mount Vesuvius, to Pompeii and to the beach. You will just love it ! Grin

mandasand · 03/05/2012 21:56

thanks persuasion - reassuring to hear other people have had same experience. and it looks like JSing is the right method for unpredictable cycles! brill :-)

somethingwittynot · 03/05/2012 22:54

rome is beautiful and amazing food! pain has completly gone and no wee symptoms maybe i pulled a muscle from being bent over the bath? Grin JOKE.

seriously though i did get into a rather akward situation on the sofa earlier....

lollypopsicle · 04/05/2012 07:32

Persuasion, I'm well jel. Love Rome. There is soooo much to do. I would recommended sitting on the Spanish Steps with an icy bottle of beer for a spot of people watching in the early evening.

Well folks, I had a dream last night that I licked a stick and got a positive result. Yes, that's right, I licked it Hmm. Back to RL, ERTD is not officially here yet but going to resist PIAR or LAS ( licking a stick) for that matter as I'm pretty sure it's on it's way.
Hope you all enjoy the bank holiday. What's everyone up to?

Pinkie29 · 04/05/2012 07:36

Phew let's hope you don't have a uti not nice at all! I know my symptoms too well haha

babylann · 04/05/2012 11:15

Good morning everyone (yes I had a lie in Grin) DD is at her nana's today, so I get my chill out - well deserved, it's been a hectic week! And now ERTD has descended, albeit in an unusual way, it's only when I wipe and very brown and clotted. And it's making me feel so ill... Shaky, weak, headache, nausea. No cramps really, though, just a few hours of it yesterday.

I'm also really jealous of Rome! DP and I have both been thinking about going there for a year or so now.

Good job avoiding the temptation to LAS, lollypopsicle Grin

bugoven · 04/05/2012 11:19

Hi all. ERTD seems to be here. Will see it off, along with a cold and be fighting fit for plenty of JSing to make a 2013 baby. Suppose a 43 day cycle is better than eternity in JSing limbo. Good luck everyone Smile

topbannana · 04/05/2012 11:36

Persuasion I bought a small version of "the rough guide to Rome" and it was invaluable. We prefer mingling about rather than taking organised trips and the book had great tips on public transport etc that made the whole affair easy as pie. Rome is a beautiful city, we plan to return when DS is around 10 as we feel he will truly appreciate the history by then (assuming the JSing has not paid off of course, it would be a horriffic place to trail about with a baby!)

JSing is back in full swing here, DS is off out with a friend tomorrow so we will have all day to ourselves. We shall of course fill the time with useful, box packing and other house moving activities :o

persuasion Rome is AMAZING! I hate cities, more of a country girl myself, but i would go back to Rome in a heart beat. My favourite was the Trevi fountain. Even more spectacular if you visit at night. And the food is fabulous! The pizzas and ice-cream, mmm my mouth is watering just htinking about it! Have a fab time!

AWomanCalledHorse · 04/05/2012 11:58

Can we ban Persuasion talking about Rome? Esp. when it's such crappy weather here atm Envy

A late hello to South!

This has been my worst ERTD since having DS, DH had to take yesterday off work because I was so weak. I actually miss the crap that is being pg!!
baby, enjoy the time off from DD! Hope you have a short ertd!

bug, I don't know why..but I hadn't thought of it like that :( No 2012 DC for us non-pg people. Why is that so depressing?!

something, have you JS since the pain wore off? Best advice if you're going to keep shagging with a uti (aside from don't!) is to go commando as often as you can & cool your bits with a cold, wet bit of tissue after you've shagged...and like Persuasion says cranberry juice is your best friend. I am the UTI Queen.

Maybe I'll be fit to JS at some point next week.

topbannana · 04/05/2012 13:04

Cheer up ladies, I have just stumbled upon a hidden gem which has made my day so I will share my joy with you.

A couple of weeks ago I tottered off to M&S to buy some
new "undergarments" (in case I was run over and the Police mistook me for a vagrant when the paramedics cut my clothes off) New anything is quite unusual for us at the moment and I found I was unduly excited with my new trollies. Anyway along rumbled ERTD and my new lovelies were relegated to the back of the drawer in favour of more grotty sensible attire. Anyway I have just got changed and in the back of my drawer I found a BRAND NEW pair, completely unworn and shiny new. I can now trot off to Tescos with my loins girded in a pair of brand new trollies which pleases me greatly :o

It also makes me wonder when my life got to the state where a pair of M&S drawers can cause such jubilation Hmm

I hate getting ERTD because it means no babybug but my hormones always reset or something and my mood lifts in a really good way. I have so much to look forward to, I'm not down.
2 pee sticks down, 48 to go. Going to go calculate my next EDD based on this ERTD Smile

tiredteddy · 04/05/2012 14:41

HORSE I know what you mean about no 2012 baby, I had this silly idea I would fall pregnant quickly and have one by Xmas. We planned to start ttc last jan, but this was postponed because of some medical reasons that needed dealing with. Silly but I feel like my dc should be here. I also worry a bit about the age gap too SOUTH as my DS2 will be 5 in oct so I worry that whoever dc3 is will be a lot younger than the boys. Even like an only child when they get bigger. I've got to stop setting myself up for disappointment as now I can't help wishing for dc3 to appear before my next birthday, feb next year. Think I need to accept fate has its own plans for me at the moment.

captainmoll · 04/05/2012 15:04

Hello Shaggers! I'm feeling a bit shagging miserable today. I'm after some MN love and was SO PLEASED to find a thread not discussing Auntie Bleedin' Flo who I find very annoying. ERTD is so much more dramatic and exciting sounding.
So I'm surfing said tide at the mo, having just endured a record-breaking 40 day cycle that left me both confused, worried and extremely grumpy. I have now armed myself with some pre-pragnancy vitamins and am ready to face TTC round 8.
By the way, any advice on how to persuade extremely exhausted and stressed DP's that what they really want to do every other night is have a good old shag? Who knew they'd ever need persuading?
xx

somethingwittynot · 04/05/2012 15:05

yup we have JSed since and no pain at all!
