Over the last year or two we've had a thread for those who are Just Shagging. Confused by OPKs, too lazy to temp, can't read a chart to save your life? Not quite ready to forgo the Wine? Well stick with us!

Of course it's been SO successful that we're down to a tiny handful of regular posters, as everyone else has graduated and we'll ignore the fact that those of us that are left are probably way beyond Just Shagging. But it's an ethos rather than a strict rule. Come and join the fun Grin.

No rules here, other than EWCM is hereafter known as Pant Snot. AF is known as the Evil Red Tide of Doom (ERTD). Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

So don your shag capes and throw your legs in the air caution to the wind :)

Old thread here if you want proof it works!

Welcome south feel free to ofload, you're iin the right place Smile

babylann sounds like things are conspiring a bit against your DH. Exercise is supposed to be good for mild depression, maybe time to restart the gym? And hopefully the weather will start to improve, winter is the worst time for depression. I guess it's possible he's also had a viral illness of some sort?

something you crack me up! We've been in our house 2 years and haven't JSed in the kitchen! We're obviously getting old and boring Grin

manda welcome back. Where did you go for your belated honeymoon? We're going to rome in 2 weeks (just a normal holiday) and I can't wait.

My cramps have stopped but I still feel all damp who knows what's going on down there. Thought I had metallic taste yesterday and at points this morning but now it's gone so think it's just my overactive imagination.

Derbyborn · 03/05/2012 14:17

Hi ladies
Well ERTD was due yesterday and after the most awful cramps earlier in the week there is no sign of it arriving. I've given in this morning and POAS (but not the first wee of the day) and got a BFN. I keep feeling sick and I'm very tired but nothing. Any advice?

babylann · 03/05/2012 14:21

Welcome southlundon :) You're very welcome here!

Welcome back mandasand, hope you had a lovely honeymoon but sorry to hear spotting has caught up with you.

Persuasion, I hope you're right. I do think when the weather perks up, he perks up. Will definitely be pushing the gym. We are supposed to go on Fridays, every Friday we intend to go and then change our minds at the last minute cause we've had long days etc, but this week WE WILL GO! I also think illness is possible, we JSed last night and he did much better (feels like I'm grading him Grin), lasted longer and much more pleasure occurred!

Still, I guess it gave me that kick of a reminder to start looking after him better, he is everything to me and I lean on him so often, I should give back and care for him far more often than I do.

babylann · 03/05/2012 14:23

Hi Derby, sorry for x-post. Might you be stressed, overworked, not sleeping enough? That could explain the tiredness, the missing ERTD and maybe even the nausea.

Or you could be pg and not have enough of the hcg(?) levels in your urine to get a BFP yet. If you have any of the cheapy tests, might be worth doing another one tomorrow with first wee. If not and you have to pay for the expensive tests, would probably wait a little longer and try and focus on other things :)

Derbyborn · 03/05/2012 14:49

Thank you baby I know the sensible and only thing I can do is wait but after a very long 2WW I just want to know one way or the other. I might wait until Sat and then if no ERTD try and test again.

Fletch1 · 03/05/2012 14:49

Will definitely wait until after the scan to tell DD1. She is only 4 and has been asking for a baby sister for the last 2 years! Think she might explode with excitement when we tell her - although not sure how she will take it if it's not a baby sister :( She's already decided it's nickname will be Strawberry Shortcake and its real name will be Sleeping Beauty - because babies sleep all the time!

This is all very weird. It still hasn't really sunk in and yet here I am talking about scans!

My OH and I are both only children so we are a little bit nervous about having 2 - how do you do it?! Can we really love another one as much as we love DD1??

dogeared what a cute thing for a DS to say!

priscilla - fingers crossed for you - and everyone else on here!

rome will be wonderful at this time of year, persuasion! jealous!

we're in rural france for our belated honeymoon. another week and a bit left, yippeee :-) it's usually all go at home - work (I have 1.5 jobs), allotment, house improvement projects, heading up north to see family once a month - so it's really peculiar to have nothing to do but rest and chat and read ... and JS, of course, before I got my spotting which has today turned into a full-blown period, dammit! So, if my cycle was 20 days long I'm going to have to re-calculate day of ovulation for next time ... or just JS every day to be sure, hehe!

thanks for the welcome back, babylann. sorry to hear about your worries over DP's health. good food (+vitamins) and some good sleeps should help, but if not then maybe a visit to the docs? maybe simple blood tests like for anaemia could pick up something which is easy to fix? but, yes, could be stress/worry over his mum affecting all other parts of his life too. be good to get him sorted. Going To The Gym is such a pain in the a*rse! It's fine when you're in the flow of it, but getting started (again) is a big hassle. What about going for a long, leisurely walk at the weekend, as a way of working up to being more active ? (perhaps with a treat of a pub at the end?!)

glad the move went so well, something, and that you are maintaining heroic levels of JSing!

welcome south, and hello to everyone else!

tiredteddy · 03/05/2012 17:41

PERSUASION I've missed that you are going to Rome! We went for 10 days over Easter and had the best time! You will really enjoy it!

tiredteddy · 03/05/2012 17:45

MANDASAND posted too soon, oops! My cycles after comIng of the pill were really short too. From 18 days steadily increasing to an average 25. So maybe yours will get longer. Very hard to guess when ovulation is though. Enjoy the rest of your honeymoon it sounds wonderful Smile

mandasand · 03/05/2012 18:27

Thanks tiredteddy - it's good to know that this has happened to someone else after coming off the pill :-) it is great here. nice and warm without being too hot, which is a nice contrast to the UK where it's felt like November weather recently!

somethingwittynot · 03/05/2012 18:51

must keep this shagging lark up i like being called wonderful. DP has already hinted we JS tonight. im knackered but it wouldnt be me to say no Grin

so im 7DPO i have very sore boobs Sad im knackered, im weeing more (probably a UTI though ive never had one) had some pulling/squeezy pain and a vivid dream last night! my best male mate turned up dressed in a bright pink tutu with a wand bradashing pee sticks at me telling me to POAS/PIAR as he knew i was pregnant. weird.

though i bet you 9% that this time next week ill be having ERTD keeping me company.

somethingwittynot · 03/05/2012 19:01

oops 90% Grin

Persuasion · 03/05/2012 19:22

tiredteddy is there anything in particular you would recommend? We've never been to Rome so we're all excited.

manda your holiday sounds pretty good to me (apart from ertd). My 1st period after my mirena was removed was also early, so there seems to be a theme. We just JSed in the hope we'll catch the window, as I wasn't sure when it would be, and really can't be arsed working it out or doing anything more intensive.

something you certainly deserve a BFP after showing such dedication to the cause Grin Grin Grin

derby sorry about the BFN, but they say it's not over until ERTD arrives in all it's glory. Have you had any symptoms? Apparently HCG almost doubles every 48 hours, so wait 2 days, or even 4 if you can (although I couldn't) and use morning pee. Fingers crossed for you.

DogEared · 03/05/2012 19:24

Hehe that 9% was very exact... :o
Be careful in case of UTI though. Lots of sex can cause/worsen those it happened on my honeymoon and they're not good for early preg iirc.

DogEared · 03/05/2012 19:25

Persuasion you really should watch the Romans programmes with Mary Beard on iplayer... Cracking stuff.

somethingwittynot · 03/05/2012 19:59

ive got a really bad pain sorta lowe left stomach/hip area that goes round to my back and i feel bluergh Sad
