Hi everyone, sorry for the long absence. Had a wedding at the weekend and then sickness has kicked in :( Only actually been sick a few times (sorry tmi) but feeling really nauseous most of the morning, slightly less in the afternoons and get up to do a simple job and then am shattered.

Moo sorry about the hold up with the keys, nothing ever goes as smoothly as we hope. It will all work out though and will be worth the stress. Same as Rusulka my only symptom on the month we managed it was sore boobages so don't give up yet. Hope you have the keys now and sky is being installed as I type.

All your talk of chips and dips has made me hungry Grin Have a strange need of salad cream atm (I never eat salad cream) so might have to make some chips to go with it!!

Chips Nice to see you back. The dip does sound positive though (although for some reason I seemed to have a dip most months pg or not Confused)

Flour and Chips as I said to moo, no symptoms were my only symptom so got my fx for you.

Purple wow, it must be amazing to live in so many places, although I imagine scary at times too. I've always lived in Devon it's interesting to see how people have moved around.

Rusulka glad the mil has gone as peace is restored to the rusulka household. It sounds like you have a busy day ahead. Can I ask when you started buying baby things? I haven't bought anything except a pg book (and then added about 20 more to it from friends we told who gave me theirs!) It just doesn't seem real and I'm not sure where to start!

Purpledragon · 12/04/2012 11:19

Hi all,

Rusulka I like your observations on stress, makes sense.

Lilliana if you have any interest I have some ideas about baby stuff, it is based on living in a tiny NYC apartment when my son was an infant so on the minimalist side and coming for a person who is not keen on lots of 'stuff' in general. Perhaps you have a lot more space I don't know.

chips stop that testing!

moo you are only 9dpo, I'm not sure a little dip means so much either way, if you were at 12 or 14 and below your cover line then that's not looking great but now I don't think it's a bad thing (this is the most common implantation day...you are not out yet). I'm feeling very un-bun-in-oven-ish myself.

We have another long weekend this weekend, off to beach tomorrow.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 12/04/2012 11:36

Wow Rusulka you have been/are going to be very busy!! Sounds like you have a lot to do. Good luck and I hope that bed's up by tomorrow night. Grin and yey for the DIY updates though. I've missed them. Glad you have some peace and quiet now MiL has gone. Is she due for a return visit?? I see where you're coming from with the if I'm pregnant no-one will let me do anything although I think I agree with your DH on this one, maybe climbing ladders is not the best idea........what I'd you slipped?!?

Lil sorry the m/s has kicked in. Take comfort in the fact that it means all is ticking along nicely though!!

Chips yey for the temp rise. Am crossing everything for you that this is the month of BFP!!!

We finally have the keys. YEY!!! Just waiting for the cleaning people to come and collect keys from our old house (we are having it professionally cleaned whilst on holiday) and then we can go back to await the Sky man GrinGrinGrin

Lilliana · 12/04/2012 12:05

oh, yes please purple we have space but not much money so really looking for the essentials.

Moo glad you have the keys and all is back on track. Can you send the cleaners to me when they have finished? Grin

Purpledragon · 12/04/2012 12:48

Lilliana my top tips are the samsonite Pop-Up Bubble travel cot. I just read some rubbish reviews of it at mumsnet which I don't understand at all. I loved it and used it every weekend (naps at friends places while bad Mr and Mrs Purple were at parties!) and everyday through a couple of periods of traveling. It got just tons of use until he grow out of it (at about 20 months) and yesterday I passed it on to a friend to borrow. Also the ERGObaby carrier, can be used from newborn (with an 'infant insert') on the front and on the back when they are bigger until..well..until you can't lift them. Much the best carrier in my opinion. Almost daily use for us for the first year, now it comes out for long walks..
Neither are super cheap (would make great gift ideas ?!?) but if you have an interest in portability then they are both just great. We are perhaps on the extreme end of this but I couldn't believe how easy it was to get around with him as a baby, would sleep anywhere in his Bubble!
I was also surprised about how inexpensive the first year was (really you actually need so little), for the other bigger things we bought (cot and pushchair) I looked at the high end stuff that I would never pay for then found it secondhand, rather than buy the more average stuff new.
hope it helps a bit.

chipsandmushypeas · 12/04/2012 15:03

Thanks moo

I cannot promise anything purple I'm addicted! Grin

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 13/04/2012 04:47

OMG!!! Look what my chart has gone and done ladies you were right, definitely not out yet!!!

Will check in later at a more reasonable hour Smile

Purpledragon · 13/04/2012 05:42

Moo, wow yes that's really great. AF clearly not on the way (which like I said yesterday, would give you too short an LP anyway) and hopefully something else is going on. Have you read the q and a at FF on Triphasic charts? Thats quite helpful. I have have rises like this (not that kept up though, just a high day in the middle of LP and earlier that 10 dpo), but hopefully this is a really good sign. I'm so so happy for you (my chart is very boring and normal). Now sit tight and let's hope it stays up the next days too...x

Purpledragon · 13/04/2012 05:44

Btw, when on earth do you temp? I'm a couple of hours shear of the UK here :)

Purpledragon · 13/04/2012 05:45

That's supposed to say ' ahead'....

chipsandmushypeas · 13/04/2012 07:34

I cant believe this but ive just got a bfp on a FRER, shaking...

temp went down this morning but decided to test anyway. Think im going to be sick

Purpledragon · 13/04/2012 07:40

Oh my god! Congrats that amazing. Xxxxxxxx so happy for you.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 13/04/2012 07:50

CHIPS CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! Whoop whoop!! Excellent excellent news. Hope I'll be following that soon!!! When's AF due??

Purple I'm up early for work usually so have to try and stick to that time even when I'm off. Not ideal but my body clock seems to wake me up naturally at that time anyway.

Purpledragon · 13/04/2012 07:58

fingers crossed you are next Moo, just great news chips, early testing, low temp....who cares right? Just shows.... Congratulations again and again.

chipsandmushypeas · 13/04/2012 08:31

Just did a digi and yep Pregnant 1-2 weekk. My dps face was a picture, so over the moon, we were both shaking and hugging eachother.

moo i think af is due Sunday or Monday, hope she doesnt come and its a chemical :( if she doesnt ill book a drs appointment.

First whiff of a bfp in over 20 months, so amazing and surreal

chipsandmushypeas · 13/04/2012 08:35

Temp is still quite high, just lower than yesterday which annoyed me, wouldve liked a nice jump!

My Chart

What do you think?

moo and purple thank you :) Last night when i brushed my teeth, my gums bled so much, which never happens to me, plus sore throat, sniffly and nausea past 2 nights made me take the test.

Good luck moo I really hope you get your bfp soon, i never thought i would see a second line, ever, after so many months x

Friday the 13th BFP! Grin

Purpledragon · 13/04/2012 09:00

Your chart is great chips don't worry about it, still nice and high and anyway, by the way, you are pregnant!!!.

chipsandmushypeas · 13/04/2012 09:10

Nope, still don't believe it! :)

I just read that the earlier the egg implants, the less likely AF will come. I think I implanted 8dpo which is nice and early. Hope this sticks x

Lilliana · 13/04/2012 10:14

Yay Chips!!! So pleased for you Grin. It is quite surreal, I still don't believe it but the sickness says otherwise ... Hope you have a problem free pg. Enjoy your day grinning with your secret Grin Grin Grin

Moo chart looks great, so hope this is your month too.

Purple thanks for the suggestions will look into them. Wrt charting I used to set my alarm for 6 (when I get up for work) if I didn't have to get up I would still set it, take the temp and then go back to sleep and look at it when I got up. Guess it depends on how good you are at getting back to sleep after being woken but you need to do it as soon as you wake, no getting up for the loo, drinking etc and it needs to be done the same time each day (there are websites that will adjust your temp if you do it at a different time but not sure how accurate they are)

So pleased we have had another BFP, hope this starts a new trend Grin

Lilliana · 13/04/2012 10:18

Chips forgot to say I would stop temping - it doesn't stay regular and could end up stressing you out if temps dip below etc - can't remember who but someone kept on temping for quite a while after and it caused her some concerns.

Still Grin about your news

coveredinflour · 13/04/2012 10:36

Woohoo!! Amazing news chips! Congratulations. Keeping everything crossed it sticks for you.

You mentioned sore throat, nausea and sniffles. Are they symptoms? I have all of those. But are your boobs sore? Mine don't even have a twinge. Have been exhausted tho. Perhaps will poas on sunday, cd 28...

Anyway, am so happy for you. And moo, really really hoping its your month too. Feel really excited even though I don't actually know any of you iyswim!

Happy friday!

chipsandmushypeas · 13/04/2012 10:49

Thanks girls!

Lilliana I was going to temp until AF was due, then stop if it's late, what do you think?

covered yes, those were my symptoms and bleeding gums when brushing teeth, I never get this but did last night. Also loss of appetite, nausea since 9dpo and cramps too. My boobs haven't been sore or bigger, just little twinges.

Good luck!
