Thanks festie - hope i wasn't being too nosey! DH and I both try and work at home as much as poss as we hate the city scene so we have been able to finally escape from london which is great! I don't think we'd ever get much further than a couple of hours away though - still, i'm not complaining as we are very lucky to have the life we have.

Now - onto TTC, pregnancy etc.... I hope you are all doing well. Lil glad the scan went well and your DH is taking care of you well!

Disco how are you doing?

We had our first SwoutI since the EP yesterday. I had beeen nervous thinking about it but fortunately it was a very impromptu mid afternoon bonk so i didnt get to think about it too much. fantastic actually - go DH!! Made him use a condom much to his horror after no condoms for years but i don't want to take any risks of another EP if i can help it!! Next cycle we are going to start TTC again though i'm abandoning OPKs, CBFM, thermometer etc. Too much added stress and I am lucky to have regular cycles (assuming they go back the same) so fingers crossed it will be the same post EP.

Hope you all have lovely weeks planned.

Berries xx

Hello all!! Thank god today is not as bad as yesterdays atrocious weather!!

House is almost sorted!! Yey. And have been doing a lot of SWI. Am hoping that I ov today, temp went down but not a huge decrease and I've had a load of EWCM. Also feeling a little crampy down there but not sure if that's ov related or not. I hope it is. Will be crossing everything that I get 3 lots of high temps over the next 3 days. Will be dtd tonight definitely Grin

At least now I know what my post ov temps look like too.

Berries do pleased you had some protected SWOI Grin I really really hope you strike it lucky in the first month when you re-start TTC Smile

Hope everyone is well and that there have been no more little visitors Grin

festiemum · 30/04/2012 16:09

Hey berries! Ask away! Open book, me! :o

Glad you managed to fit in some SWOI! Fingers crossed for next month when you get back on the saddle!

Glad your house is almost sorted also moo - and you're getting your SWI in!

Bloody windy here the last couple of days (who am I kidding? It's always windy here!) Made us kind of glad that the last chicken was got, cos the chicken house blew right over last night! Shock

Hope everyone's doing ok!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 30/04/2012 18:12

Grin festie you're not having much luck with your chickens. Sad sorry you've lost them all and the house - the thought of the house did make me laugh though, but not maliciously......you must understand.

Just a quick question from me; after having loads of EWCM this morning there's absolutely hardly anything now. It's not dry, kinda slippery, but I'm worried that I'm either not ov'ing or I may already have. Any thoughts? Gonna SWI regardless!!!

iloveberries · 30/04/2012 18:30

chuckling that we share stories of EWCM but i was worried asking what someone did for a living was too personal :) :) haha!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 30/04/2012 18:44

GrinGrinGrin @berries GrinGrinGrin you are so sooooo right.

Brilliant!! Smile

festiemum · 30/04/2012 19:23

Ha ha berries - it's a topsy turvy kinda relationship we have, isn't it?! :o

mool - although the drying up of ewcm would suggest ov, in TCOYOF it's said that you SWI until a sustained thermal shift. I've had months where I've geared up to ov, with ewcm and everything and then not oved till later. Without the temping, it would be too easy to stop SWI too early! If in doubt, SWI! :o

The chicken house was kinda funny - and just a bit Shock at how fierce the wind must have been!

OP posts:
MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 30/04/2012 20:46

I just wrote a bloody long post and stupid phone decided not to add it!! Angry

Long story short, have dtd, trying to enjoy the Manchester derby, but I'm concerned that there is no leakage post sex. Normally I have some leakage, but the last few times nothing has come out, despite getting up almost instantly. Confused I'm worried that this isn't right.

festie thanks for your wise words. I will continue with SWI EOD until I hopefully see that thermal shift.

Just not convinced I'm gonna ov this month.

Lilliana · 30/04/2012 21:29

Moo I usually got EWCM that dried up a day or 2 before ov Confused no idea why but don't worry. Also no leakage is good Grin means it is elsewhere! Not sure of this is just me thinking too much but I sometimes had less and figured maybe it was due to my cervix being open and receptive to it Blush All sounds good to me, enjoy the swi and football (is that what the manchester derby is?! May sound really thick now) and stop thinking!! Also I would keep swi until you get your raised temps.

Yes Berries it def is weird that we tell each other things like this and worry about asking questions you would often ask people when you first meet them! So glad you had your first swoi and even more that it was fab! The first time has got to be the worst, now you can enjoy the practice. I have everything crossed for you next month.

Oh festie your chicken luck is just not in this week :( Sorry but I had images of a flying coop and had a small chuckle too.

Waves at Chips Disco Count Flour Purple and anyone I have missed (sorry)

We have decided to tell parents at the weekend, now don't know how and feeling a bit weird about it. Any suggestions? Atm I am going to put the scan pic in a magazine and say there is something I thought they might be interested in on page xx.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 30/04/2012 22:10

Yes you are quite correct Lil it was football. And bloomin' marvellous it was too!!

Just want to apologise for my self indulgence of late. I promise to check up on how everyone's doing tomorrow. Also want to say thanks Thanks for all your kind words, encouragement and support. It's been a trying few weeks, but hopefully my body will be kind and pop out that egg (if it hasn't already Wink)

Lilliana · 01/05/2012 07:02

Moo self indulgence is totally allowable here. What did your temps do this am?

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/05/2012 07:32

Morning Lil temps at there lowest so thinking maybe ov is going to occur today, although I checked last months chart and a similar dip occurred around this time last cycle. Would be bonkers not to bonk, do will seduce DH after work Wink

Does ov tend to occur on the same day every cycle if you are regular or can it vary?

Have you thought of any new ideas for telling the family? Are you telling both sets of parents at the same time or separately? DH and I had a plan for telling his parents by asking his mother if she would mind waiting in the house for a delivery and then telling her that if she did, we would make her a grandmother!! Not sure how I'd tell my own parents though. Not sure how they might react! Hmm

Lilliana · 01/05/2012 07:44

I was pretty regular and according to ff ov occured between day 14 and 17, usually day 15 as a rule (think the 17 was a blip when I had a 32 day cycle as a 1 off) Def got some swi in tonight Grin

Telling DP separately, not sure why but finding it hard to tell mine - (maybe cos it's actual evidence that we have been bonking!! Blush) No further ideas yet although have been googling.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/05/2012 07:55

Crikey yes, never thought about it like that; I was more concerned that my parents might not think that we are mature enough or financially stable or some other reason to make me feel bad. Of course, they could be over the moon, especially as the other grandchildren live in Hawaii and they never get to see them.

Obviously, I need to get pg first before I start worrying about that Grin

I am thinking then that if my temp pattern follows last months and my body is playing nice, that ov should take place on CD16, possibly CD17 (the dip this month is on CD13 when it was on CD12 last month so wondering if everything has shifted forward a day). Bloody mindfield this TTC malarkey Grin

Would just be nice to actually ovulate though. :)

Purpledragon · 01/05/2012 09:54

Hi all,

Been reading but not writing. No chicken houses, DIY or moving for me and therefore nothing to stop me obsessing over chart Its funny for me to read about UK lives because I haven't lived there in so long, I get jealous when people pop in to Boots or whatever. And it sounds ridiculous to say 'couldn't shag this AM cause OH had early meeting with Hamas'

I got all in a bit of a mess with charting this month, OH got my madness and blabbering. The bottom line and lesson hopefully learnt this month, is less worrying and chart staring and more shagging. It was a hinderance rather than help this month, for the first time. Silly me.

Now telling myself that poorly timed shagging means I can consider myself out this month but actually will actually come up with outside chance, don't believe chart, scenarios. One good destraction is the we are visit home(s) from next Saturday - Switzerland and UK to see families. FF is not being invited.

Many waves to all.

Rusulka · 01/05/2012 11:11

Wow, everyone's been busy!

Moo if it didn't splidge out afterwards, it went somewhere useful! That's what I always think. Sometimes I worry it took a wrong turn and then I'm wary when I blow my nose...
FX for egg laying in the next few days!

Lil have you thought about craftily sticking the scan pic on the fridge with a magnet and just seeing how long it takes them to twig?

Berries where we live in Kent, we're on the high speed train route, so we can get to St Pancras International in 15 minutes from the station if we want to. If we had a car we could live in a village and be nice and rural, and only be half an hour away from the station. Worth considering if you're up for a move?

Festie oh noes to the flying chicken house! It has been ridiculous weather round here. Epic stormage last night, all lightning and no thunder, bizarre. So much rain the porch has started leaking again, so bucket in place!

Purple lol at the llamas. Grin You'll have to get your UK shopping fix when you come over visiting. FX for an outside chance of implantation this month!

On the little visitor front, so far we have caught 2, first with white chocolate, then with the google-recommended peanut butter rolled in bird seed smooshed into the trap bait wells. I have buried them both in the garden. 2nd one had squirted blood everywhere, good job I'm totally desensitised to that sort of stuff... Both females I think (must catch that rogue studmuffin!). Been researching mouse sexing online, and think I know how to tell them apart now- sounds silly, but apparently female mice have vaginas! Shock Who'd have thought...

MiL is back from London, totally freaking out about the mice (offs) so trying to deal with them when she's not looking.

Meanwhile both storage walls are in place, all the books I've found so far are on the bookcase, still have some room (phew), and have managed to keep 2 bottom shelves empty for containers for kids' stuff.
Unfortunately I've already run out of room on the board game storage section- mostly because nearly half the main bookcase is out of action because of housing the meters- might have to fit some shelving there. Hmm. Maybe have to have a board game cull, lol!

Purpledragon · 01/05/2012 11:42

Rusulka you have made my day...Llamas....Hamas

Rusulka · 01/05/2012 22:11
Blush
Rusulka · 01/05/2012 22:12

In my defence, the strike through in Hamas made it look like Hamas...

Purpledragon · 02/05/2012 06:42

I think your defense is an excellent one. In related news, I'm planning to move to Peru. Need some llamas in my life and there is not a sniff of one in the middle east. Some would say I should make do with a camel, but I'm fixed on the llama thing now.

Lilliana · 02/05/2012 07:26

Purple you never know, I got pg on the month I was sure I had missed it. Hope next month is less stressful (if you need another month) and Grin at the llamas.

Moo hope you got some more swi in, how are the temps looking this am?

Rusulka congrats on the mouse catching front and I'm sure your trees will be grateful. How many do you think there are? Fridge idea is good but they have one of those hidden ones so no magnets. Could maybe pop it somewhere else but we are a bit time limited and knowing my family it could take weeks for them to notice!

On the news this am - after bridal showers and baby showers now there's gender reveal partys! Basically in America they get the sonographer to seal the sex of the baby in an envelope, give it to a baker who bakes a cake and then have a party to cut the cake. If the sponge is blue its a boy and pink sponge for a girl. (The cake did not look very appetizing either.)

Hope everyone gets some sun today - it always makes the world look better.

Purpledragon · 02/05/2012 07:37

Lillian, what next? I lived in the States for 4 years (New York City) and never come across this. Perhaps it's isolated to somewhere dull where people have to come up with new ways to entertain themselves? Mmmm pink and blue sponge, sounds gross without even seeing it.

Thanks for your kind words.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 02/05/2012 07:55

Grin at the Llama's; that did make me chuckle!!

Purple my DH lived in Peru for a while. They do have a lot of Llama's Grin and alpaca (or are they just the same thing!?!). Either way, you would be sorted :)

Rusulka yey for your mouse capturing and destroying escapades, but a little :( that they have to die. At least you are being a humane (or maybe mousane) in there deaths. Can't have them in the house though, they'd eat through everything!!! Shock at them having hoo ha's though. There's something i never knew. I am glad you have got the storage wall up, but sorry that there is not enough room. I too have a lot of board games and I say BOOOOOOO to culling them. You can never have enough, in my opinion!!! Maybe filter some of the less used ones to the attic for the time being!?!

Lil any more ideas on how you are going to reveal the news? Maybe you could bake a cake and the icing could say we are having a baby would be different if nothing else. Then you can eat the cake! Nom nom nom nom!!!

Well temp went up but no where near where it should be if I had indeed ov'd yesterday. I have just got this sinking feeling that it is not going to be my month....................maybe by the time i get to see the consultant in June I will be on a nice new shiny cycle and i can take the drugs straight away.

Feeling a bit down about it all this morning. I thought after last month that by body might have given me one more natural bite at the cherry. The longer this goes on the more I think it will never happen. We've really gone for it this month as well, especially after the disappointment of last month :(

Purpledragon · 02/05/2012 08:17

Hi Moo don't lose hope in this cycle yet, it could be a slow rise, that happens and still shows you have ov-ed. Like Lil says it's not always the most obvious cycle where things come together.

Also thanks for the confirmation on Peru. Glad to know I'm headed in the right direction.

chipsandmushypeas · 02/05/2012 09:57

Hi everyone :) hope you're all well. Been reading through. Glad there's some good ewcm and SWI and swoi going on! All sounds great!

I'm 6+2 today, feeling nauseous and extremely tired since week 4 so haven't been on much, more lurking.

I've booked a private scan for 9 weeks as I can't see myself waiting until 12-14 weeks for a first scan. So I'm off to the Fetal medicine centre in may. Hopefully it's good news.
