Sorry about the appalling use of families instead of family's there folks

whimsicalname · 23/03/2012 11:35

Hello everyone
Blimey I can't keep up. I'm trying to cook my whole dinner party today for tomorrow night, plus picnic food for tomorrow day time. These guests can seriously eat. The toddler just launched himself down the steps in the garden and has a nose bleed, which is all over me. And I've endured 30 mins 'aerobics' for sports relief at school. God, thank goodness for the telly so I can have 5 mins peace!

Sorry to hear about colleagues imps another whole week done though. And sorry to hear about your GP cupcakes. And I think AF got someone too. Was that you generic? If I check back I'll lose my message and Baby Jake's nearly finished...

Depending whether i'm on a 24 or 30 day cycle this month, I think I'm due this weekend or early next week. I'm not testing because I want a drink this weekend. And I was in a foul mood and shouted even more than usual at the big boys earlier in the week, which I put down to pmt.

Aren't you meant to be at a spa today maybe? Have a good day everyone.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/03/2012 11:44

Whim more shouting is obviously the old pregnancy hormones kicking in, not PMT Wink You are a domestic goddess, just keep repeating that to yourself, and you will be fine!

I am indeed off to the spa, appointment is at 1.15, Very excited!

ScarlettInSpace · 23/03/2012 11:46

Oh I meant to say, I work in Sales and every so often we have to go and do space audits in the accounts we look after to see if they are stocking/facing proudcts in line with the category data Grin it gets me away from the laptop iykwim, plus I get to mooch around all the clothes departments once the cans are counted

shinyblackgrape · 23/03/2012 13:31

Imps - they sound like absolute cretins. What a bunch of uncharitable grinches! We haven't organised anything here as just about to go through a merger and super busy at the moment but we normally have a cake sale and it's fab. I love baking for it.

olives - I'm very sorry re AF. Please have the Wine that I would love to have tonight

whimsical - good luck with the cooking! What pudding did you eventually decide on?

maybe - I lurve spas so very jealous. Hope the treatment is lovely and you have a good day.

Scarlet - also sorry re AF. Have some Wine. In fact, start drinking now! Grin

Cups - I'm very sorry to hear about about what happened at the GP's. A second opinion is most definitely in order. Keeping everything crossed for you and will look out for the update.

I'm fine. Still no AF and the twenty gazillion pee sticks still say positive. Obviously still early days but DH and I have decided to book a scan for when I am 7 weeks (so 2 weeks on Sunday) to see what's what. Very worried that this might jinx matters but DH sensibly pointed out that if I go down that route, I wont be able to have any antenatal care, give birth in the dining room and the baby will have to wear dusters!

Preggo symptoms seem to come every second day so felt fine yesterday bar a few twinges which then made me panic. Today I feel like I have been on a delayed night flight from Australia and then forced to come to work whilst also having sick burps sorry TMI so hopefully that's a good sign.

farfallarocks · 23/03/2012 14:13

Oh shiny I just want to reassure you its all normal.

I am in a state today because my boobs are less sore, this has happened before and I know its normal for symptoms to come and go but still, bit of paranoia has creeped in. Your DH is right, you have to make plans as hard as that is.
12 week scan has gone into the diary and its freaking me out totally and I keep on thinking 'if we get that far'. Must get into the brooking spirit once again!

Spa sounds lovely maybe!!

BeedleTheBard · 23/03/2012 15:27

Hello ladies

I picked a lovely day for my day off, its been 16deg here today, I think we still had a thick blanket of snow this time last year Shock So I'v ebeen very busy in the garden, and I even washed the car.

olives sorry AF got you but enjoy the weekend with a Wine or two

whims you sound very busy, shall I come round and give you a hand Grin I hope you find some time to relax with all your friends this weekend

shiny I agree with your DP, as hard as it is to make plans, you can't wait another 34 weeks before doing so Grin And there's plenty of no brooking power willing this bean to be a sticky one.

maybe I had a peek at your chart and I've no idea - I think someone mentioned it could be annovulatory, but seeing as I thought that about loopy's chart when she got a BFP, I'm clearly no expert. Anyway hope you had a lovely time at the spa and are now all refreshed and relaxed

cupcakes hope your DP had some luck with the GP, I could understand if they said you don't fulfill the criteria for IVF, but it seems incredibly mean not to do anything

scarlett have you finished counting your tins of beans? Grin

sparkle hope you've enjoyed your day off as much as me Grin

SweetieDoesIt · 23/03/2012 15:53

waves to all having finished work early

Imps your work miserable gits colleagues sound terrible. Who doesn't love a cake sale to cheer up a Friday in the office and all for a good cause too? Only 10 days my dear until you escape.

Olives boo hiss to AF, but at least you can enjoy a few drinks over the weekend if you aren't working.

Shiny GrinGrinGrin at your DH saying DC will be dressed in dusters. Am still chuckling at the thought.

Beedle & Sparkle you both have picked a lovely day for you day off, hope it has been very productive, Beedle sounds like yours has been.

Cupcakes any news from the GP?

I have to work through the night on an IT implementation tonight Sad, but at least I can do it from home so not too bad. DH isn't too happy but it isn't too often.

SweetieDoesIt · 23/03/2012 15:57

forgot to say
I hope Maybe is enjoying her spa day.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/03/2012 17:21

Hello smacketeers! Spa was amazing. I was so relaxed I could hardly walk, and forgot my pin number Grin

Shiny I am so pleased all is going well. 2 weeks isn't too long to wait, we shall hold your hand all the way.

Sweetie boo to working through the night. A nice day planned tomorrow to make up for it?

Sounds like you have had a loverly day Beedle, the weather here is gorgeous too.

Far, there are no 'ifs' just 'whens'

I am going to come clean. I PIACC this morning. IC gave me a very very fain line. I POAFR (first response" when I came home from the spa but got a BFN. Plus, FF is now saying I ov'd on Sunday Hmm All very very confusing Grin

What are everyone's plans for the weekend?

cakes82 · 23/03/2012 17:22

Hi All
Had my 12wk scan today all good and plenty of movement from baby.

I've given up trying to figure out pg symptoms cause they do seem to come and go at a logic all of their own.

Hope everyone ok!

McPopcornMouseNFries · 23/03/2012 17:23

Hi! Am on my way out so excuse the lack of namecheck Blush but I wanted to report back to bartlet - gp no2 is in cahoots with agreed with gp no1 that TSH at week 6 (1.5) and fT4 at week 10 (12) is all I need til I see the obstetrician in week 16 Hmm She (and tbf she seemed to actually have looked into it, unlike gp no1) even went so far as to say she felt fT4 was a more reliable measure for preggos. So basically that's it, and I have to see obs April 18th...

Off out for dinner now! Have a lovely weekend Brookers :)

Oh btw, was reading a book yesterday and the main character "brooked no argument" - I'm taking it as A Sign :o

SweetieDoesIt · 23/03/2012 18:34

Maybe spa sounds fantastic but not as fantastic as the faint line. ShockGrin Do you have any other pee sticks ready for FMU tomorrow? That might be all it is, too dilute pee this afternoon for the FR. I am super excited now.

Cakes excellent news on the scan front too.

Pop enjoy your dinner, and put the GP stuff behind you, at least this one looked it up.

whimsicalname · 23/03/2012 18:40

Am convinced you're pg maybe.

Have made choc n ginger pots and blood orange posset. Couldn't decide! All in sherry glasses and looking purdy.

On phone. Gah! A happy weekend to you all.

Loopyhasanotherbean · 23/03/2012 19:22

ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....exciting stuff maybe!! i have been convinced for a while you are indeed preggo, here's hoping you get a BFP on a FR tomorrow with FMU Grin (i trust you did the sensible cost effective thing and bought a double pack?! Grin and my conclusion was FF hasn't always got a clue, as it told me i hadn't ovulated, then i had, then i hadn't, then i had but on a different day...and i know for a fact now that it was still wrong on when it thought i had ovulated!! thankfully we had one day (quite a few days after it told me i'd ovulated and our 3 carefully timed SWI) where we had SFF and that resulted in my bean! what treatments did you have at spa? mother to be ones? Wink

Imps7 · 23/03/2012 19:26

Whhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaattttttttt?????????????

A faint line you say?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/03/2012 19:40

I am not getting any hopes up you lovely lot. I will wait and see what tomorrow brings (whilst keeping my fingers and toes very tightly crossed)

Loopy of course I did the sensible thing with a double pack and CBDs were half price so I bought a twin pack of those too It's strange though, I don't have any usual post-ov symptoms, not a sore boob in sight. The only thing I can say is that my mood is very up and down, and I am constantly hungry but don't know what for Hmm

I had an exotic moisture body meltdown, it was incredible.

Whim blood orange posset? Sounds bloody amazing. I love posset. Nom.

Sounds like you had a great time Sparks I love making bread. I may make some tomorrow actually.

Have a lovely night Pop

Cakes so so pleased your scan went well, and that you have a very active beanlet. Bet you can't wait to start feeling all those movements Smile

Sport relief is on. 15 mins in and I was in floods of tears Blush

whimsicalname · 23/03/2012 20:16

maybe unspecified hunger is a proper symptom. If it's like when you're hungover, when you know the right food will make you better. If only you knew what it was. Then you ate def pg.

shinyblackgrape · 23/03/2012 20:32

maybe. - er........HELLO! You is preggo! Many congratulations! I'm sure. fRER will show up tomorrow am. I bought these amazing bumper packs of 5 each from boots on special offer last month. Have peed-ed my way through them but might be worth getting a 5 pack laid in Grin.

Off to catch up with everyone else. V tired so might have to do a proper post tomorrow.

GreenOlives · 23/03/2012 21:03

Maybe There is no such thing as a false positive! Grin I'm very excited about tomorrow's FMU test! Glad you had a lovely spa session too!

Scarlett My due date would be 30th December if I get lucky this cycle so we can graduate to the brooking antenatal thread together in 4 weeks or so Grin Wink

Shiny 2 weeks will fly past and your brooking bean will be wriggling away!

Whims Dinner party food sounds AMAZING, very organised too!

Sparkle That bread sounds yummy too, I quite fancy giving bread making a go, do you have a bread maker?

Cakes Fab scan news Grin

Sweetie Boo to work tonight - hope it all goes smoothly.

Imps I'm hoping that the most miserablist of all your miserable colleagues bought one of your cakes and bloody choked on it! Grin

Beedle Could you pop round and clean my car tomorrow please? I HATE doing it Smile Sounds like you had a very busy day off.

Pops Loving the sign!

My consultant appt was ok. He is happy to go along with the treatment plan suggested by Mr Shehata but he wants my GP to sort the prescriptions which I hope think she will happy to do. Unfortunately though he feels I need a lap & dye to thoroughly check out my remaining tube (the HSG didn't get a clear picture of the dye spilling through my right tube) So I went straight from my appt into pre-op assessment and am just waiting for a date now. Not looking forward to the operation but I suppose it's hopefully a step nearer to a baby! Thanks for all the Wine offers but I still remain virtuously alcohol free this month - willpower will be seriously tested tomorrow though as I am at a wedding!

TheLittleFriend · 23/03/2012 21:11

maybe!!! You are totally pregnant! I hope your FRER gives you a very clear bfp tomorrow so you believe it too!

olives sorry your on CD1. Looking forward to little Joseph/Mary's arrival in December though Grin

Fab scan news cakes

Sorry to not name check everyone else. Love you all though xx

It's CD29 now. Boobs are achy since yesterday. No sign of af. BFN yesterday. It's extremely unlikely I'll make it through the weekend without PIAPP (that's a plastic pot in case you're wondering). I am going to try though!
