ari yes I did have a 10mm lining which was good and better than previous month of 8mm. Still short although saying that reasonable flow for 1 of days then just waterey blood tailing off now. I'm shit scared of going to Dr's for any boob stuff iykwim but spose I'll have to. No mysterious lumps that I can tell. Might consult Louise first see if anyone else has had it. On memory front I spose I have always had bad memory, so yes being knackered alot of time would make a worse.

kittens know w you mean about Dr as he didn't seem v personable last time. Very pleasant n all that but I spose I would like him to look at notes and say right SO cycle 2, be patient and push on to cycle 6 and if not then we will come up with another plan or something. It was me who suggested taking the Cyclogest when lining was 8mm to boost things a bit and he sort of just goes along with it. Me who suggested SO and blah blah but you know what i mean. I know he is probably seeing hundreds of women but I spose we would just like a bit more encouragement.
With regards to pred from ov, he's always advocated the problems are from this point but then again plenty of women have conceived and gone on to success with taking from BFP but I spose that like you say all of us have different levels. Mine were activation 3.16. Wonder what they are now. Someone the other day said would be nice to get retested free as part of treatment. I have the Hydroxycholoroquine unopened. I am going to start necking that tonight to boost attack against cells! Yes encouraging comment about a woman in 30's. Spose she's right.

ChoccyPud · 10/04/2012 16:54

digi I'm so glad you're ok. It sounds horrendous. Hope you get to take Franco home tomorrow. X

Thanks for asking after me guys. No cramping today, which is great and feels like it should mean progress. Still getting red/ brown on wiping, sometimes just a whiff of colour, sometimes a couple of wipes' worth. If its red it's bright red, no clots or lining, occasionally tiny kind of grainy bits of dried brown old looking stuff. No actual flow, there's nothing on the pad in between toilet trips.

I emailed with an update that's been passed to Mr S so I'm sure if he thinks I need do anything before I see him next Tuesday, he'll tell me.

Frustrating, discomfiting, confusing, yes. But (and this may of course come back to royally bite me on the arse next Tuesday) something in me is insisting it isn't game over. Maybe it's just my subconscious refusing to contemplate dealing with an mc this week. Maybe I should listen to my instinct and just keep thinking positively. Whatever. This time next week I'll either be home again after intralipids or I'll have fallen off a cliff (not literally, obv, don't worry!!).

Stogan · 10/04/2012 19:44

YEY Digi , massive congrats to you and all the family and a very well done to you. At last a darling boy number two how fantastic. Hope you are recovering well Hunni xxxxGrinGrinGrinGrin

snoopygirl · 10/04/2012 20:45

stogan! How's it going?

Stogan · 10/04/2012 21:27

Fab thanks snoopy my little princess is not so little !!! She is sooo alert and very strong, wondering if the early pred has turned her into some kind of super baby, can't wait to hear digis story's of little Franco developing so we can compare notes !!!
How r u? Not read thread as sooo busy, was just lurking for fantastic Digi news !! Xx

Stogan · 10/04/2012 21:29

Also wanted to note my little princess has 4 strawberry birthmarks ?? Neither DH or I have any history of these so wondered if maybe an affect of all the drugs, has anyone heard of this? Only side affect mr s said to me was cleft pallet, not that I am bothered as the marks will fade and they make her her if u see what I mean, was just curious xGrin

freelancegirl · 10/04/2012 22:16

Oh my goodness Digi, what a birth story! Were you freaked out when the whole team came in and started doing something clearly emergency related? Did they put DS on your chest while it was all going on? So glad it worked out ok in the end! How are you feeling now? Gorgeous name btw and goes so well with your heritage.

Hello Stogan lovely to see you drop in. I don't know - maybe there is something in Pred Super Babies. I wonder if they will have a full set of teeth and be able to recite the alphabet in French by 6 months? :) I don't know about the strawberry birth marks. Maybe one for Mr S next time any of us are in?

Waves to LAF too! For those who asked, LAF is an EX-rmc (emphasis on the EX recurrent miscarrier) who we know from the other threads who has just had a little baby too! Hope you're doing well LAF.

Glad you are feeling positive Choccy and hello Ari, Kittens and anyone else I have missed - there's been a lot going on here this evening and, talking of crap memories, mine is terrible and I am too tired to catch up.

I've had a lovely evening out with two old school friends, one with an 11 day old baby (her third) and the other a mother of two under 3. Funny though, I had a huge dizzy spell when I was out and that made me a bit paranoid. It's part of pregnancy, right, the occasional dizzy spell? Am off to consult Dr Google...

LAF77 · 11/04/2012 00:06

Hi ari I have been lurking on here as I know a few of the posters here from the miscarriage board. As freelance said.", I am an ex RMC victim, having lost 3 pregnancies, but I have my baby finally, who is not yet 3 weeks old. You can see a little picture of him on my MN profile. I was under the care of St Mary's hospital as they found elevated MA levels when examined in the TEG test in my blood when I was pg, so I was on 150mg of aspirin.

I'm rooting for you all to get the babies that you are dreaming of.

duggs1976 · 11/04/2012 07:22

Ok peeps. Feel like a fraud jumping in at 12dpo (aka egg collection) BUT I bought a sneaky beakie FIrst response 2 pack last night. Got woken up at 3am by the cat so could sleep (40mg pred) effect. Gave in an peed on the stick. The faintest of faint lines came up. Woke DH. Couldn't sleep. Did the second this morning and the second line was a bit stronger. Still v faint but def thereGrinGrin my BFP at LAST! Thank you. I know is ridiclious ly early and all can go wrong but after this ivf journey I'd like to wallow in happiness I had got this far. (am sure will be Mentalling in few hours) but going to book intralipids for Saturday at NLC GrinGrin waves to everyone.

picolina123 · 11/04/2012 07:41

digi thankgod you both are fine ! you must be so pleased to be going home
kittens i went to clinic yesterday, they have put on exactly the same program , told the lady my tempeature, cbom was all over the place and i didnt think i ovulated this mth, also discussed my muscle and joint pain which is still bad esp if im busy and moving around , i asked if i could take pred from bfp, she said there was no evidence to suggests this works , there was 85% chance of it working from taking pred from ovulation , but she said it has worked for some women , just no evidence gathered. what im going to be doing is go back on it in june when i come back from oz, hopefully my muscel pain is gone by then, if i get it back with being on /off the pred i have to discuss it and maybe try from bfp. i have another appt at the end of june. its a risk though.

the weird this is my period started this morning, bang on 26 days , if my cbom was right, i have only had 7 days since peak and spotting throughout. the stress about ovulation is prob stuffing it up, ive been thinking not to test till i get back, but then what if it all goes back to normal ? i want to know for peace of mind ..

GreenOlives · 11/04/2012 08:30

Duggs Grin Grin Fabulous news! I'm chuffed for you Grin

ChoccyPud · 11/04/2012 08:39

Oh duggs that's wonderful news. :) So happy for you. A line is a line. Get intralipids booked in too !

Arianrhod · 11/04/2012 09:21

duggs woohoo, that's absolutely terrific! Great news, so v pleased :)

pico Was this NLC you went to? And they said there was no collected evidence to suggest taking pred from BFP (rather than from OV) works? Hmmm. I'm going to see if I can dig out some stats on what happens with Prof. Quenby's patients then, since I understand that's her protocol. What about those ladies who didn't start their pred until after their BFP, but have v high NKCs, I wonder - coconut springs to mind?

choccy How are you doing today?

Fab to hear baby talk from stogan and digi, gives us all hope that the light at the end of the tunnel is more than just a train :)

Duggs Grin

freelancegirl · 11/04/2012 10:11

Duggs!!! A BFP!!!!!!!! Fingers crossed, legs crossed and hair plaited for a sticky one.

My goodness. A baby and a BFP in one day. I love it when things start to go right for everyone on here. Long may it continue.

Can't loiter as am off to meet a friend, last day before returning to england. Wishing everyone a good day xx

snoopygirl · 11/04/2012 11:03

Yee Haa!! duggs I am so so pleased for you.

pico I suppose they are not going to advocate something that isn't tried and tested by their clinic. But they defenitely admit (Louise) that this does work for some. ari let me know if you find any results for Prof Q cos I couldn't.

stogan Lovely to hear you and your gorgeous daughter are doing well. It is quite full on at first, especially with a first! I am fine just trying to get bfp and get it to stay more than 2 days!! give her a cuddle from me x

Arianrhod · 11/04/2012 11:13

snoopy I found quite a lot of posts from women in various places who said they took it successfully from BFP, but apparently Prof. Q's trial only ended in Jan this year and from all I've read the results won't be published for 6 months. She's planning to start a larger trial soon, apparently, so there must be something in it. Dunno. I also see the benefits of taking it from ovulation, as NKCs can attack and stop an egg from implanting, but I did read one woman's comment along the lines of "for those who implant ok but babies then die a bit later, perhaps it's not necessary to take steroids before implantation". Which sort of makes sense, I guess.

OP posts:
snoopygirl · 11/04/2012 11:28

I suppose ari it's all trial and error at the moment and different for each individual. It's frustrating though and I/we feel like I'm just clutching at any tiny bit of info/variation that may help us.

Coconutfeet · 11/04/2012 12:57

Ooh how exciting Duggs! Wonderful news. I'm so pleased for you.

Digi - How are you getting on? Are you home with baby Franco now? That whole third stage drama sounds incredibly traumatic. I really hope it hasn't spoiled your enjoyment of getting to know your lovely baby.

Pico - Not very scientific I know, but I didn't start 25mg pred until I was 6 weeks pregnant then had it upped to 40mg a week later when my results came in (I was preg when I had my initial appointment with Mr S). I was diagnosed with a normal level of NKC but very high activation.

Great that things have calmed down a little Choccy.

Enjoy your last day in Spain Free. I have had the odd dizzy spell with this pregnancy too. I did wonder if it was anything to do with my low iron levels.

Well, now that I'm top of the list I'm starting to feel a bit anxious about the whole birth thing. I had the car cleaned inside and out today so that we can get the baby home in reasonably clean condition, as it was pretty unsanitory. I've got a booking in appointment at the hospital I'm switching to on Friday and I'll feel relieved once that's all sorted. I think I need to go and do some breathing exercises... Comedy. You're next after me - How are you feeling??

mercator · 11/04/2012 13:03

Duggs Amazing news - so chuffed for you - Congratulations! Grin

PQ77 · 11/04/2012 14:14

Fantastic news duggs; have sent you a pm - let me know if we'll overlap with intralipids

Also big hello to LAF - thrilled to hear your news as I remember you from the RMC board.

Off to see Mr S shortly for my last scan with him until (assuming prengnancy continues) 16 weeks - bit of a strange feeling.

PQ77 · 11/04/2012 14:17

Oh and stogan no less than three of my friends have lovely DC with strawberry birthmarks. None were on pred or similar (though one was a FET so she must have been on all the IVF drugs). I hadn't heard of these sorts of birthmarks until a year ago and now they're everywhere!

digitalgirl · 11/04/2012 17:05

duggs hooray for a bfp!!!! Baby steps now, but getting over the first hurdle is definitely worth celebrating.

coconut yes lady I pass the top of the list torch over to you. Excited? Shitting yourself?

We're home now - despite my haemoglobin levels not rising. F is doing marvellous though having mastered breastfeeding at only 2 days old. My poor nips! I'm feeling completely worn out (just climbing the stairs is v hard work) but I'm very happy to be home and having lots of cuddles with my two boys. My mum is on cooking duties and helping with nappy changes when dh is out so I have plenty of help.

Abney · 11/04/2012 18:18

AF arrived today Sad that's me back to the bottom of the leaderboard. I think a big glass of wine is in order tonight Grin.

LAF77 congratulations on the birth of your baby boy. I have had 10/11 MC's and 1 DS who came in the middle of it all. I have VHKC but didn't have them when DS was born. I was put on fragmin (blood thinning) but then they stopped recommending it. If I get a BFP again Dr S says I can go back on fragmin. I read a story about a woman whose blood thickened in early PG. Is this something that was found in your case? What does elevated MA levels mean? I hope you don't mind me asking.

snoopygirl · 11/04/2012 18:40

Ok I have updated the list. I have put the ones I know have had AF in last couple of days back to ttc inc me. duggs I hope it's ok I have put you in the first trimester slot after your good news today Smile. Apologies in advance if I've screwed any dates up!
Is there any order going on in the ttc list bit? Also who is coming up to test anyone know??
