Sweetie sorry about AF, but good that you have a holiday to look forward to and lots of sunshine rat smacking!

Cupcakes I agree - you may have ov'd a bit late and still be in there for a BFP in the next day or two.

Pop don't worry about it, honestly. I was soooo tired in the early weeks of pg with DD and it is nothing like 'normal' tiredness ie when you just need more sleep. You will cope just fine with baby kernal!

Maybe I am sort of doing that - I had a bad cold for about 6 weeks and that on top of the mc and infection from that just meant that I was run down for ages. I have adopted a new healthy eating plan, given up alcohol and caffeine and am feeling much better for it. Take time to get better and that BFP will be yours!

Sparks I try to go for every day around ovulation as I worry we'll miss it otherwise (plus it's fun), so don't worry! I think I will ov early this week - got signs already, so more rat smacking tonight I think.

BeedleTheBard · 05/03/2012 16:27

froot yippee for AF (you don't see that written very often here! )

sweetie sorry she got you, but have a lovely relaxing holiday :)

maybe I can't believe you're still ill, can you slip into sweetie's suitcase and have a holiday in the warm to recover?

cupcakes fingers crossed that you find an agreeable peestick soon

stasi I'm a teeny bit jealous of your plans for a new kitchen, ours looks lovely and I think it was only put in a few years ago (before we bought the house), but for such a large kitchen we have hardly any storage space or maybe we just have too much crap that we never use But its hard to justify replacing a kitchen that still looks lovely, no green or mustard tiles in our house Grin

bartlet come back, we weren't ignoring you Grin

Well, its CD1 here, a day early Angry, and so rat smacking will be mid-week next week, which is hard to arrange with my nights away from home more Angry

Imps7 · 05/03/2012 16:50

Angry Angry Angry for you Beedle

KAPOW!

BeedleTheBard · 05/03/2012 17:12

Thanks imps Grin

We haven't heard anything yet, but according to their guidelines we have to be seen within 12 weeks, which is good. I've been reading the local equivalent of mumsnet, and it seems they move quite quickly once it all gets started. Plus, if we get that far, which of course we won't, we get 3 rounds of IVF

ScarlettInSpace · 05/03/2012 18:47

Hi all,

Quick post for now, just thought I'd let you know that we SWI'd for Britain this weekend Blush Grin Blush and if that doesn't stop the witch from darkening my door this month then I don't know what will!

In fact, I've felt sleepy & a bit sick and fat all day today nothing to do with eating the mother of all roast dinners last night is CD17 too early to symptom spot? I mean, from a medical profession POV I'm more than 2 weeks diffed now aren't I?

Am in the office mostly this week so will be reading more than writing here but am thinking of you all! Sending big scarlett coloured positive thoughts in all directions [including my lovely tube which is as we speak carrying a fertilised egg womb-wards I hope]

[PS/ has anyone seen cakes since her 6 week scan?]

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/03/2012 19:30

Oh Beedle so sorry about AF. You won't get as far as IVF. Nor will you even get as far as your consultation Smile

Amazing news Froot this cycle will be the one.

Pop you poor thing. You will most definitely cope when kernel comes along, don't you worry.

Scarlett you are so diffed. It is never too early to symptom spot Grin

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Unfortunately no chance of any time away. Have a week off after Easter, so hopefully I can last till then Grin

CupcakesAndCocktails · 05/03/2012 21:41

Thanks for the stats Imps as you all say it's not over till its over. I'll be one of those posters who comes on saying she didn't get her BFP until 6 weeks gone Grin

Looopy I remember your elusive BFP, hope you and the bean are doing well. I've been using Internet cheapies. I've got an emergency CB digital hidden away.

Beedle really sorry to hear AF showed up. I'm sure the hint of specialist involvement will be enough to get rid of her for the next 9 months.

Maybe I'm brooking that you make it to your Easter holidays my dear. You are definitely in need of a break.

Frootz well done on finally getting AF! make the most of it as it will be your last one for a while Wink

I think I've seen Cakes about since her scan. Hopefully all is going well.

That's just reminded me that Munx has been missing for a while. Hope everything is ok if your still lurking.

Right I'm off to treat myself to a new book on my kindle and have a read before bed.

Night night smacketeers

Imps7 · 06/03/2012 07:21

Morning Smacketeers!

I've actually got a recipe for apple and toffee buns which looks immense - I want to try baking them this weekend if I get the chance.

Any news Cupcakes??? COME ON PEE STICKS, DO YOUR THING!! What book are you reading at the moment? I haven't read a book in years - I only read recipe books! I should really try to branch out a bit!

Scarlett, CD 17 is definitely not too early to symptom spot even for me who ovulates actually on CD 17. How are you feeling this morning?

I really hope that things are going well for Cakes and Munx. I think Far is on holibobs. Brooking no argument that Farfette is still burrowing on in there.

Maybe can you work from home today? You will last until Easter and then I insist that you do NOTHING that week - no exercise, no housework, no DIY, no anything. Apart from baking, as long as you share it all with us.

Oh, I meant say something about me! My temps are being super-weird this cycle - [[http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Imps7 look at them!) I can't figure out why today's temp is so high - my cold has long gone, I had a really nice sleep, I wasn't super hot, I'm not dehydrated, I didn't have anything to drink last night, I went to bed at the same time as normal etc etc etc. Apart from the obvious upduffedness, I don't know what's wrong with it.

Right, must get up to put some washing on.

OP posts:
Imps7 · 06/03/2012 07:25

BeedleTheBard · 06/03/2012 07:40

ooh, imps implantation dip followed by second rise in temperatures? when are you testing? Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/03/2012 08:46

Imps this looks most promising. If you want to see a messed up chart have a looky here discarded temps were those above 100 degrees Shock

I am considering working from home. I am meant to be going in for a mini course today (4 hours traveling for an hours course) though I might see if I can do it in a few weeks time instead [undecided emoticon]

Of course I will share all baked goods with you lovelies. This is a sign of my run-down-ness, I haven't even baked Sad

Stasi · 06/03/2012 08:55

Morning all. I'm paying from my phone, from bed. Ahhhhh the joys of being off work. My hand is still sore, and I've discovered new banned activities, like reading a book. There's something about holding the pages open which brings on the pain. All in all I'm good though, it's only a mild ache generally, so this time of feels like a holiday.

Still in 2ww, still no symptoms. Test day is Friday according to ff. Might test earlier on a ic as I have 2 possible OV dates this month.

I have a thingat a cancer support group this afternoon. Kind of nervous about it. It's just a make up day thing, with free things to take home. There will be other people with, our who had, cancer there... and for some reason that is scary.

I think I will break out the laptop this evening and do some one handed typing to do a proper post. Happy Tuesday to all in the meantime.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/03/2012 09:10

Oh Stasi I can understand why that must be scary. You have been through so much, and it must be hard knowing that other people are going through the same thing. Free make-up sounds good though Wink I am pleased you are enjoying your time off work, and hurrah for it nearly being testing time already! Any symptoms to speak of yet?

Stasi · 06/03/2012 09:32

No symptoms at all. Nada. Been a very boring 2ww.

I'm scared of talking to these people this afternoon, which is the epitome of silly. I had cancer, and I'm normal. So why should these ladies not be normal?? Why should I be scared of them? I shouldn't!

I actually posted a reply to you on a wrong thread maybe Blush. Have copied and pasted it:
is this self imposed lack of time to be sick? You may just be making things worse. You need time to recover and get back to your normal hard working self. Pushing through the illness could be slower overall as your standard of work is likely to be worse than normal and take longer to do. Sorry, lecture over. I really hope you feel better soon.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/03/2012 09:37

You are totally right Stasi no need to apologise! I know I need to take some proper time to recover. I am going to take today off, have some more sleep and keep warm. You are so right about work though, it's like my head is up in the clouds! Plus I think I am dreading Thursday, as I need to leave home at 4am to do a 12 hour solid stint on an experiment. Though I will probably get Friday of to recover, which I suppose isn't so bad. Right, that is my moaning over. I have a nice little fruit compote on the bubble and some greek yoghurt calling my name..... Grin

And I don't think you are being silly at all. I can't imagine how scary having cancer must be. I think you are very brave.

Grin Sparks I love your TTC toolkit! There is no way that the rat won't be smacketed with that arsenal of weaponry behind you!

Stasi I hope that today goes well and that you meet some new good friends there. They are more than likely feeling just as nervous but once the ice is broken I am sure you will all be able to let your guards down a little. Good luck.

Take it one day at a time Maybe and you'll get through it. Alternatively you could just make up the results to the experiment...or is that frowned upon these days?

Haaa Beedle that's what AF would have me think! I'm not falling for any of her devious ways though. Can't wait to see what my temp does tomorrow...my money's on it being around 36.55 just to mix it up a bit.

OP posts:
cakes82 · 06/03/2012 13:02

Hi everyone, I have been reading but not posting.
I had a scan at 6 weeks by my dates which didn't show a great amount, sonographer said I was only 5+4. Had another scan 11 days later which showed all well and a heartbeat :) By my dates I will be 10wks on Friday. I have my 12wk scan on 23rd March.

I hope you feel better soon Maybe and Stasi's Hand

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/03/2012 14:38

Oh Cakes that's fab news Grin how are you feeling?

Imps I am positively Shock at your suggestions. I have never considered such a thing Wink Grin I too am looking forward to seeing what my temp does. I am wonering whether a) I have ov's and my fever has covered it up b) I will ov later as I have been ill or c I won't ov at all. Got to love a WTF cycle every now and again haven't you!

Sparks I so wish I could've gone back to bed. Instead the puppy took me on a 6 mile walk Shock I am now back wrapped in blankets with jasmine tea and some knitting Smile I am loving your TTC survival kit too. Though you do realise that since you have spent so much on it that you won't in facet need any of it? Grin

Hope you are having a fun afternoon Stasi

Maybe did you have any other ov signs? I guess at least you're braced for a potential WTF cycle, rather than just wondering where the buggery AF is (I'm assuming, perhaps rather unbrookingly, that conjunctivitis and laryngitis has put paid to SWI!!) I'm quite lucky that I get such noticeable ov pains - whilst they're annoying, at least I know if/when it's happening!

Speaking of where the buggery is AF, Cupcakes what news????

Cakes, so pleased your follow up scan was so positive! 23 March will be here before you know it!
