p.s. my boobs don;t hurt anymore, wibble wibble extra wibble

beangrower · 23/02/2012 08:55

Oh Olives - sorry to hear that. Hopefully this is the start of your pg though!

Fx for Generic. A BFP would be fab news.

Totally feeling Beedle's point about men getting stressed. We had a sex fail last night and this morning (at 5am), so TWICE, and are now both even more knackered. DS of course stayed in bed until 6.30, perfectly well behaved. Poor DP feels rubbish and I got upset. We made up but it's just the usual crapness of TTC taking its toll. As everyone here seems to have experienced...

So I think we are out this month. CD10 peak SWI might have done it but I somehow don't think so.

CBFM hasn't really told me anything different Sweetie - it suggests I ov cd11, maybe CD12 in the small hours. I pretty much knew this already. The fact that I got one high day before a peak fits with my age and having a smaller fertile window. I need to know how to time SWI to fit with low motility sperm and there are mixed views on this one... I might start a fred for advice.

That's good about DH Sweetie - might as well get the figures too. Grin

Waves at everyone and slinks off back to do some work.

beangrower · 23/02/2012 08:56

OMG - Far - x-posts. THAT IS AMAZING NEWS. Well done you, both of you!!! xxxx

farfallarocks · 23/02/2012 09:05

Thanks bean I don't feel at elated at all yet just scared.

I am so sorry about your sex fail, I know how it feels as you know. But all the times I got pregnant have been from SWI on the highs and not on the peaks so I don;t think you are necessarily out this month at all. Your poor DH, did he feel terrible about it?

PopcornMouse · 23/02/2012 09:06

Far!!! That's amazing news!!
I was cramping when I got my BFP too (still am infact) and the GP said it was pretty normal and not to worry unless you spot. Fx the consultant gets back to you soon :o

Imps7 · 23/02/2012 09:09

OMG Far!!!!!!!

Oh, I am so so so so happy for you! Grin Right - get yo' ass down to the GP's surgery NOW!

Imps7 · 23/02/2012 09:11

Oh, okay, just read the rest of your post (was too excited to do so first time around) - brooking no argument that that consultant gets back to you within 15 minutes.

Well done, deary - I have got everything properly crossed (well, apart from my legs - it is Sex Week after all) for you that this little bean gets stuck in and stays there.

beangrower · 23/02/2012 09:12

Far - it must be so scary after your losses, but I really do think you will get a sticky one this time. Get a medical arsenal in support and keep positive. I REALLY hope this is it for you. We are brooking like billio.

Thanks re commiserations. Poor DP was upset because I was. I really only feel like there are two days each month that will really work for us given my age and his lazy wrigglers. But you're right - and thanks for sharing - maybe the high will do it.

We have agreed not to let on when the 'right time' comes along, so he doesn't get stage fright.

TTFN everyone.

GenericDietCola · 23/02/2012 09:13

Green so sorry re AF and the cramps. I hope she is just saying goodbye in a heartfelt way before she buggers off and leaves you alone for 9 months.

Imps thanks for the reminder re boob theorem.

Bean sorry about the sex fail and falling out - it is stressful, but you are definitely still in with a chance this month, so try not to feel despondent.

Far that is great news! Try to enjoy the feeling that you are pregnant and do all the treatment you have to do and most importantly of all - rest and look after yourself.

Biscuitsandtea · 23/02/2012 09:16

Oh my goodness Far that's great news! I completely understand you feeling scared and I hope your knight in shining armour consultant rushes in with some help and reassurance.

I am on mega brooking for you that it will be third time lucky indeed.

I know it seems scary (indeed it is acary!) but you won't get a baby without going through these early days - iyswim. So we've got to get through these early days and we're here to hold your hand every step of the way. And of course you know you've caught the BFP as soon as you could have done.

Oh good luck my lovely xx

farfallarocks · 23/02/2012 09:24

thank you for all your brooking, I am trying to be positive and calm not least to give this little bean a chance. Consultant emailed back straight away (well his PA) and said I need to start them straight away and to go into st mary's today and a nurse will show me. They will also book me in for a 6 week scan to check its in the right place. Just waiting for a time, I am going to get no work done today i can tell. I keep pulling out the FR (which is in my make up bag) to check its still positive

bean I do think that is definitely the right strategy, I think this affects them more than they like to agknowledge. I know I would find it hard to have an orgasm on demand but its sooooo frustrating for us. I still think you are in with a great chance this month

GenericDietCola · 23/02/2012 09:30

Far you're not a freak and you have done everything you can to give this bean a great chance of success. Don't worry about work today - get yourself down to the hospital, start the treatment and we are all brooking for you, which must count for something.

PopcornMouse · 23/02/2012 09:34

I kept mine on my mantlepiece for 2 days Blush
I'm so chuffed for you far. :o

Sorry to hear of the sex fail bean - I think not telling him about your cycle is a winning strategy imho. Men do tend to get a bit freaked out by these things ? DH is another one that would never admit there could possibly be anything wrong with his swimmers Hmm

beangrower · 23/02/2012 09:47

Thanks Pop Yes - I never really did tell him until this time. I think the CBFM sort of puts us under pressure, but then ov stix did too. And then I've tried a few months without either just every other day SWI... Nothing has been working, but then we're still in the early days of booze-free/acupuncutred DP so I don't think Feb was really going to be our month anyway.

No need to be despondent, you're right.

Oh and can I use old stix in my CBFM now I'm on second peak? Grin

Far - good luck today and at 6-week scan. Try to focus on other stuff too, plus a bit of meditation and TLC - impossible I know. xxx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/02/2012 09:50

Oh Far that is fantastic news. I have everything crossed for you too (though like 8Imps*, not my legs). I know it is easy to say, but try not to panic. You are not a freak at all. Can you take it easy today? Keep us updated on the hospital appointment

PopcornMouse · 23/02/2012 10:00

bean you don't need to use any sticks at all, now, really, as it's already confirmed ovulation - just ignore it til your next cycle which won't come

beangrower · 23/02/2012 10:09

Oh ok. But switch it on every morning so it knows where it's at yes?

PopcornMouse · 23/02/2012 10:11

It will keep counting without you switching it on and off :)

beangrower · 23/02/2012 10:19

Ta Popster xxx

ScarlettInSpace · 23/02/2012 11:01

Am in office today so can't stop but just jumped in to say WELL DONE far am bloody crossing everything [also not legs as imps although I'm not sure we're meant to be SWIing this week, we are anyway lol]

catch up laterz all

BeedleTheBard · 23/02/2012 11:02

far Grin Grin

farfallarocks · 23/02/2012 11:09

Thank you for all your brooking and crossing!! Love the fact you are all on SWI week and will be joining me in approx 2 weeks :)

Just back from St Mary's, first jab done (ouch), lovely Chinese nurse there said I will be able to do it in the tummy until 30 weeks and then will have to move to the legs as there won't be enough fat to pinch. When I said, well yes if I get that far she gave me a stern talking to about being positive and said 'You will get your dragon baby'. So there you go

bean I can concur, no need to use it once you have received your peak. You will automatically a 2nd peak day and then a high regardless so save your sticks! It keeps count regardless and starts to flash with an m when it thinks your period might be due and then you can laugh in its face when it does not!

Am definitely going to take it easy now.
p.s. should I be worried that my boobs don;t hurt anymore? Wibble

PopcornMouse · 23/02/2012 11:26

Ohhh far it's a big deal, apparently, the year of the dragon! Dragon babies are super lucky the BBC News said so, so it must be true and in China there is a massive baby boom to the point where MW units don't have enough beds.

PopcornMouse · 23/02/2012 11:27

PS - my boobs didn't hurt until I was about 5 weeks, whereas often they hurt in my luteal phase, so I don't think it means anything at all :)

Biscuitsandtea · 23/02/2012 11:30

Far glad it went so well at the hospital and that they've got you going on the treatment too Smile

Sounds like the nurse is a brooker too with that positive attitude Smile.

Do you have to do the jabs yourself from tomorrow? Is it an every day thing right through the pg? Have you gone private for this treatment or is it NHS? I think I should remember this but I can't. Sorry!

I'm pretty sure I'd have enough fat to pinch though at 35 weeks Blush.
