it's quite possible becki I really hope u are.

my friend has PCOS as well - she lost a lot of weight (2 stone I think) and is now 10 weeks PG - she concieved right b4 her AF apparently, she went to the dr thinking she had stomach ulsters! lol.

only one way to tell really. althou i'd leave it (if u can) for another week b4 testing as u don't want to test too soon.

BeckiF · 23/01/2006 13:29

Thanks Munz! Yes, I follishly tested last night knowing full well that it was too soon! Plan to do another on Saturday and then the following Saturday ... if nothing, then I'm not and as usual, being a PCOS sufferer I'll have to wait the months before the next unexpected AF! LOL!

oh i hope you are becki, you;ve been waiting ages! and well done on your weight loss.

BeckiF · 23/01/2006 19:24

Yes so do I! I was hoping for a bit more input from those that have been pregnant before ... I'm looking for ladies to tell me that No, they've never had this, or Yes they have ... I'm a realist, I know that I could just be dreaming ... it's just I want to share experiences!

Hi Becki, well done on the weight loss!

I can't help with the spotting but I had quite bad cramps both just before AF was due and for a few days when it should have been here when I was pg with DS and now with this pg. I don't know if this is any help whatsoever but good luck anyway!

BeckiF · 23/01/2006 19:57

That's great help, thanks! I wonder if any other ladies, like me, have thought that they are wishing for it so much that they imagined symptoms ... yet both DP and I both feel as though something is happening here ... it's hard to explain. As I added in my other post, I was woken with nausea at 3am, 5.30am and then 6.50am this morning and I wonder if this is also wishful thinking (but who would wish for this?!) I felt rotten until about 11am, my lunch went through me ... what IS all this?!

An update ... I took a test yesterday morning which was negative. Will test again NEXT Saturday and if another negative, then that's it ... although knowing me I'll test again the week after just to be sure. I can't even say if I feel pregnant, never having BEEN pregnant. And everyone has different symptoms. Or none at all. I spoke to my mum and she said she had no symptoms at all, none of the sore or tingly boobs, hardly any tiredness and no morning sickness. Spoke to a girlfriend and she didn't get sore boobs until well into the pregnancy but did get very sick .... so, as I've said, it's just a waiting/hoping game.

Hi BeckiF, I had no symptoms at all when I was pg with DS1 (who was 5 last Monday).

My periods are very erratic hence not finding out I was pg with him until I was about 15 weeks gone.

Good luck, M xx

bobblehead · 29/01/2006 16:07

Hi Becki, fingers crossed for you! I had no symptoms with dd until around 7 weeks when I felt really sick. Good luck hope it happens for you

Beetroot · 29/01/2006 16:10

IMO If you are feeling symptoms of preganncy then when you tested it woud be positive. Becasue the hormones are already in your body if you are feeling sick.

BeckiF · 29/01/2006 18:13

I believe that not to be true. There are many ladies who have symptoms and get negative results before a positive. You can test too early. I hope!

I'm about 13 dpo. I guess I should test first thing in the morning, rather than 1.5hrs after my last wee. Have felt awful today, hence why I tested.

OP posts:
BeckiF · 29/01/2006 19:39

I meant to add that if the spotting and cramps WERE implantation, that was only last weekend, Hence waiting to test for sure until next weekend.

I just used one that I got from Medisave, one that you dip in your wee. Don't think that they are as sensitive as the First Response type though.

chapsmum · 29/01/2006 22:18

beckie, had same symptoms as you, although was not ttc, had a negative when af was due then a positive a week later.
Luck love and hugs for you xxxxxxx

Keysha · 30/01/2006 06:58

Beck, I also have PCOS and my first pg symptoms have always been sore boobs at 5 weeks gone. My p's have been irregular too until when I had an ovarian drill that really assisted my cycles. I have lost some weight too.

I know what you are going through. I hope it will be good news in the end. Will keep checking on you! Good luck.
