Ari sorry for bfn. As you say, on to next month :)

eurochick · 31/01/2012 14:22

Harley St for me too, Pebbles. I agree, it is soooo much more convenient than Epsom. I was actually quite glad that bringing my appointment forward by a few days meant that it moved from NLC to Harley St.

Ari sorry for the BFN.

Havingkittens · 31/01/2012 14:43

Ari I always come on within hours, or sometimes les, of POAS. Very frustrating! That's why I mostly use the cheapo ones from Home Health (same as Ebay/Amazon ones). They are pretty sensitive.

Arianrhod · 31/01/2012 15:21

Thanks guys, I'm rather surprised I've got spotting already at 11dpo, but then everything about this cycle has been early. I've never OVd 3 days early at CD11 before, and I've never started AF this early either. Ok if previous AFs are anything to go by I may be spotting for a couple of days so not starting AF till maybe 13dpo - but it's still early, weirdsville!

kittens lol I've never had this happen before, but it's sod's law isn't it - if I'd waited until tomorrow to test, would I not have started spotting until tomorrow, do you think? Grin

duggs if you don't mind the curiosity, are you doing IUI under Mr S as well? I don't know if he does that, and is that in conjunction with Super OV?

ChoccyPud · 31/01/2012 16:44

Ari maybe you're still a bit messed up after the mc? I came on 2 days late and it was really v light and short for me, but then had a resurgence of spotting over the weekend! All v weird. Or maybe the acu did something. Who knows. Hmm

batteryhen · 31/01/2012 19:16

ari is it still too early maybe? God I hate that POAS moment. I also used to dream about it the night before I was going to POAs. Its very traumatic!!
kittens I inject with clexane - I know its not the same jab but it is the same principle I expect. Once you have done the first couple you will get used to it :) Wierdly enough my dp likes to do mine sometimes....he bruises me less so ~I don't mind :)
euro were you going to miss this month anyway? Are you 'getting back to it' next month?? :)
duggs welcome home xx you so deserve a bfp soon - I am rooting for you xx

Hello to everyone else. I am ok, had a haadache for the past 24 hours but it is easing now. It is my 12 week scan tomorrow. I am dreading it as this is where they discovered the baby had died last time - and measured 12 weeks.

I will post news after xx have a good evening all x

picolina123 · 31/01/2012 19:21

hi ladies , i need to pick your brains ..
monday i noticed my breasts were not as sore as the last 2 weeks, only slightly at the botton and , they are also less hard. my only pregnancy symptoms are sore breasts and tiredness and heartburn this time ( not sure if thats due to the cocktail we are on ) i did start taking the extra dose of vit d2 250mg that were talking about on sun, could that be the reason, i notice women take it for sore breasts but in 1 day? i know im mentalling!!

picolina123 · 31/01/2012 19:25

battery just reading your message , really hate all this for all of us , im sendng good vibes out to you and i will say a prayer as well

Havingkittens · 31/01/2012 19:29

Battery, best of luck for tomorrow. Will check in for your news. x

Arianrhod · 31/01/2012 19:29

Oh good luck for tomorrow battery ... am buried in rubbishy IT project but will still be lurking for your good news! And unfortunately it's not too early in my case, apart from spotting today also getting pre-AF cramps. Ho hum, onwards and upwards.

kittens I have to say injecting was one of my worries, was thankful when I was told I didn't have to have Clexane, but everyone who's mentioned it says it isn't anywhere as bad as they thought it was going to be. I'll let the others who know what they're talking about advise on it, but I think there's a way of doing it that makes it ok?

pico Not sure about the Vit D effect but I know the steroids do mask symptoms, plus I know from when I was pg the sore bbs came and went and came and went and ... you get the picture :) And mentalling is perfectly normal in our situations!

choccy I forget (forgive me, it's been a rubbish week so far), when are you due to be jumping back onto the bandwagon your good self? Start of March is it? We may end up double-dating those intralipids again yet! :) It could well be the post-MC effect for me, or as you say the acupuncture (I did wonder that myself, since I OVd within I think 3 days of her specifically doing treatment to encourage OV). Who knows?!

duggs1976 · 31/01/2012 19:35

hey there.. yes well I am doing IUI under NLC in Epsom. Is £780.. as appose to £250 on super ov each month. $$$$$$ but this will be the third year we've been trying for our first child so I will try anything to get this going. I will give it 3 tries on IUI and then IVF (probably with CGH) for me. We've got until May.. then June is IVF. Hope it doesn't get to that, but my mild PCOS Is a big factor and DH spemr count wasn't amazing when we last tested 18 mths ago. I am not holding out too much hope on IUI.. the stats aren't really much different from natural..(although I do know it is pretty much the first route the NHS throws most people on with unexplained fertility issues) as is cheaper.. so this never helps the stats.

duggs1976 · 31/01/2012 19:38

BTW none of mine plans are NHS.. although I have an appointment with my "less than helpful" GP tomorrow as I am going to put the pressure on re IVF. I've not much hope there, but we pay taxes and have no children and can't get a baby so there should be something we can do. I am expecting to be told to F off as we last got PG in August.. but I am ready for a battle on this. (So much easier when not just miscarrying..) which is just about the situation for the last 3 times I've seen him

picolina123 · 31/01/2012 20:02

thanks arian worrying is exhausting and trying to convince yourself not to worry even worse. i feel a bit better, last time my breast stopped being sore and i spotting a week later , my next scan is next wed what ever comes , i think i feel so much pressure for this to be right, im 41 in may so we decided to only try this till the end of the year, also my hubby as all our hubbies really wants a baby and would make such a fantastic dad , anyway at the moment all is good, let me go back to trying a convince myself ...

Coconutfeet · 31/01/2012 20:08

Just jumping on quickly to say good luck tomorrow Battery. It must be nerve wracking for you given what happened before. Keep up posted.

Sorry about BFN, Ari.

Good luck with GP tomorrow Duggs.

Snoopy I'm sure I've heard that long-haul travel can affect your cycle. Can't for the life of me remember where I heard it though.

I had appt with consultant yesterday about my uterine artery doppler scan which was normal, so I've been taken off the clexane! I may have to go back on it again after the birth but it's nice to have a break.

duggs1976 · 31/01/2012 20:34

Are you about brownie hope all ok?

digitalgirl · 31/01/2012 20:40

Good luck tomorrow battery - will be thinking of you.

ari strange spotting you say? Hmm...

sue sorry you're out this month.

Excellent news on coming off the clexane coconut

picolina boob pain came and went a lot with me in early pg. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about but I appreciate that it's hard to stop worrying.

Feeling a bit low. Dh's business not doing so well so have to accept the possibility that the maternity leave I've been saving up for over two years could be cut short from 10 to 4/5 months. Poo.

eurochick · 31/01/2012 20:56

battery we are very much on it this month. :) We had already started trying before I got the pain on Saturday anyway. And Mr S didn't advise that trying this month would be a bad idea. It was a bit late by then anyway! Thank you for asking when you have you are own worries. I hope everything goes well tomorrow.

duggs our situations are very similar, mc aside. I think we are even the same age (I am a 1976 baby). I have also seem to have mild PCOS and my hubby's SAs have been at the lower end of normal. However, my GP was v helpful - sent me and Mr euro straight for basic tests and referred us straight to the NHS fertility clinic when they came back normal. Save for the referral getting lost (twice Hmm) it all went pretty smoothly and we have got through the system reasonably quickly. I first went to the GP last April and I reckon we will be at our IVF cycle around a year after that. I do get very annoyed about the lack of NHS funding for fertility issues - there is something in our body or our partner's body that isn't working properly. Surely that is as much deserving of NHS care as many non-fertility related conditions?

pico sorry you are having these worries.

coconut that's great news.

digi I'm sorry to hear that about maternity leave. I only plan to take 5-6 months anyway. People who take the full year in my field (law) just seem to end up far out of the loop and drifting out of the profession, so I have accepted that I will have short leave. It would be nice to have the option of longer leave though.

snoopy I've never had travel affect my cycle, but I have heard that it can.

Pebbles73 · 31/01/2012 21:06

Ari I came on really early after my m/c so Might be as Choccy said and your cycle hasn't got back to normal yet....

Battery good luck for tomorrow and hope you manage to get some sleep tonight!!

Duggs hope iui will do the job but in the meantime hope you get somewhere with your gp tomorrow.

Have a nice night all.

ChoccyPud · 31/01/2012 21:13

Battery good luck for tomorrow, fingers crossed for good news.

pico I can only add that symptoms come and go, try not to set too much stall by lack of. I know it's hard not to worry though.

digi that's pants, is it too late to try to bump up your income for the last few weeks? While getting enough rest and not running around too much obv... Hmm Will you be able to pick up the odd thing you can do from home while you're off?

euro I'd heard you're a lawyer too (there are a few of us knocking around on here!) - agree that convention is not to take the whole year. I'd totally lose touch with developments in my field if I was off that long. We couldn't afford it anyway, so if I ever get to that point, I know it'll only be maybe 6 months ML for me. If I ever get to that point... Hey ho.

ari you're right, I'm back in the saddle from, at a guess, the first week in March. The beauty of which is it'll be my birthday at about 10dpo. Eek!

Cheerfulcharlie · 01/02/2012 03:48

Hi ladies. Been lurking but not posting much.
pico you mentioned 250mcg vitamin D - did you mean 25mcg? That is what I believe most of us have been prescribed. I had (and still do)quite a lot of fluctuating boob soreness. Try not to worry about it, it.'s such a fickle symptom.

battery good luck for scan! V stressful though I know.*

digi sorry to hear your maternity might be cut short. Over here I am entitled to 45 calendar days including weekends and including any time off before the birth. Most employers refuse to give more unpaid leave. Luckily for me my 'generous' employers have graciously allowed me to tack on two weeks of my annual leave to this too so I would get 8 whole weeks. Bastards.

ari I had strange spotting from about dpo 2 for a couple of weeks on this cycle when I got pregnant... (sometimes quite heavy bright red spotting)

mercator · 01/02/2012 06:10

Sorry been AWOL for a while trying to keep a PAM for my 6.5 scan today which I am dreading as last pg ended at 6.5 but started mc at 8 with ERPC at 9.

[Battery] thinking of you today! Let's hope we both have positive news!!!!

[ari] sorry you think AF is on it's way.

[Pico] sure that symptoms come and go in the early stages hang in there!

[Digi] hopefully your dh business will pick up in a month or two so you can have extended mat leave. I went back after 9 mnths and I always regret not taking the year so hope you will be able to revisit that.

Hi to everyone I haven't mentioned.

picolina123 · 01/02/2012 07:09

cheerful opps its was 25mg not 250- got carried away with the typing.
goodluck mercator & battery

Stogan · 01/02/2012 09:18

Good luck mercator and battery xx

My little adventures today begin with breast feeding clinic at 10.30 (Christ better get ready !) and our first ante natal class tonight !! DH is doing my head in he is so excited, sweet yeah but shhhhhhhush darling !! GrinGrin

Arianrhod · 01/02/2012 09:28

Morning ladies ... good luck today battery and mercator, do be sure to share the good news as soon as you can! :)

digi I sympathise .. my company only gives 6 weeks' paid mat leave (full pay), then you're on to SMP which at a stonking £100 a week means no-one can really live on it! I had built up some savings when I was pg with DD but in the end only had 3 months mat leave before having to go back to work (although I was fortunate to be able to work from home for 3 days of the week), which meant DD was in nursery for a period of each week from 3 months old. I hated it, but had no choice - and it seems she hasn't suffered for it. Nothing worse than giving your young baby over to the care of others though, I really hated it for months, even though she was in a brilliant nursery.

stogan oh breast feeding clinic, now that's fun ... Grin Enjoy, and your ante-natal class too - are you doing the normal NHS ones, or NCT? I still have a couple of really good friends that I made during my NCT class days.

duggs I admire your planning, if nothing else you deserve your BFP due to sheer determination! :)

duggs1976 · 01/02/2012 10:07

euro we do seem similar! How many times have u been pregnant then ? Just wondering as thinking gp won't put us forward for IVF because strictly speaking I've been PG 3 times in last couple of yrs ?
