Hello all waves madly

Well my body decided to be play silly buggers the past couple of months. On my first cycle TTC, no less! AF arrived today, on CD46. HARRUMPH. Har har good joke, ladybits! Angry

But I am very delighted to see her in fact because I means my two months of confusion is over and I can now get cracking on this shiny new cycle!

Who's with me???? This is a glorious Superlux Superbus (the kind you'd see US presidential candidates rolling about in), with all de mod cons (dedicated champers fridge and shiny chrome margarita blender).

Zara1984 - TTC#1, Cycle 2, AF due 24 Feb

Hello everyone!

Sorry to all those for who AF has arrived or have had BFNs - lots of luck for the next bus/shuttle!

I've actually been purposelfuly absent this past month as TTC in January took over my life and it was not healthy for me. This month, I decided I would take it easy and not let it consume me.

Anyway, my cycle was surprisingly erratic last month as I am always very regular so that had really thrown me off. This morning I decided to POAS as I am due AF sometime this week (maybe 24th?). Imagine my surprise when it was a BFP!!! Trying not to get too excited as it is very early days.

Thought it would only be best to provide everyone with an update!
Congrats to all others with BFPs this month Grin

PuggyMum · 21/02/2012 10:05

Hi all x

Well this weekend we were supposed to be SWI but on Friday am I woke up with a sore throat that developed into a cough and then a chest infection and had to go to the ooh docs on Sunday :( I blame all the singing I did!

I'll jump off this bus and go to the pub until the next one comes along!

Congrats to all the BFP's x x

backwardpossom · 21/02/2012 12:27

Congrats BlueX!

Belgrano · 21/02/2012 13:29

Congrats to all BFPers! Can I add a new category - skinny, faint positive? Tested yesterday morning, First Response, 2 days before AF due, not with first morning urine.

Got a faint faint line. Definitely there, pink not grey (so not an evaporation line) and it has got stronger over the past 30 hours too as I have still got the test in my pocket (!). Tested with another First Response around 4 pm and the same sort of line appeared, possibly a bit stronger. Again, it's still there now.

BUT the Lloyds Pharmacy one I bought this morning (I know, I know, stop spending money on tests) was a BFN. Well, a vague grey shadow in the positive line area. Not really a line. Does this mean I am out? Thinking hormone levels could be on the way out....Or the Lloyds Pharmacy one is less sensitive. AF not actually due until tomorrow so I guess I will test with early morning wee tomorrow on my one remaining Lloyds test...

So, sort of exciting but don't put me on the BFP list please!

PrimalChic · 21/02/2012 17:16

BlueX congratulations!!

Belgrano that sounds like a BFP to me! A line is a line, well done! Try a more sensitive test, the most sensitive are the Superdrug early ones in a pink box. They're around £5 for 2.

So today I have a rash aaaaalllll over me. I'm hoping it's not chicken pox as a lady in my team is off sick with that. Of course I've been googling and it it could be down to an oestrogen surge. Might just be stress like everything else though...!

TuesdayNightClub · 21/02/2012 18:45

Yay to BlueX and Belgrano - that sounds like a BFP to me!!

Sorry to those who have been visited by AF, she's a real mean old hag sometimes. I'm on 8dpo, have had one BFN not surprisingly and have had pre-AF symptoms since 1dpo! Not cool, hormones, not cool.

GTbaby · 21/02/2012 20:26

so according to AF app on my phone, i am due my AF visit tomorrow :s nervous.

i do not want to test until i am a few days late, two months ago i was 2/3 days late and bought a test, and within an hour of buying AF started, didn't even get home to use it!

i was in boots buying it, my sister was at the other side and i rushed to buy one before she came over, i just picked up the first one i saw and quickly paid. then was extremely paranoid that maybe she had spotted me and knew but didnt mention it [which could still be true!]

lucky [?] last month i was two days early so didnt have to go through the arghhhh feeling.

so the test it sat upstairs in my cupboard. its a clear blue early one, so technically, if i am preg it would tell me, however part of me doesn't want to be disappointed, part of me wants the wait over so i can think tactics for next month, and another part of me is saying don't waste the money spent on the test Blush and yet another part of me is saying, everyone knows everyone where i live, so if i do use it and get a BFN, then i will have to go through the stress of having to buy one without being spotted!

oh the confusion Wine time.

Pipbin · 21/02/2012 22:58

Primal Day 21 bloods are a blood test about a week before AF is due so they can check your progesterone levels. You then also have a blood test on day 2 or 3.

I'm technically still on this bus, as I have spotting and not proper AF, but I have set a new 'plane taxiing along the runway here:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1411947-The-late-November-Early-December-Transatlantic-flight

PrimalChic · 21/02/2012 23:21

pipbin thanks for the info! Spotting around day 21 is a good sign of implantation?

Think I might start lurking on the next thread, it ain't looking good for a November primal baby here!

Sticklebricksuk · 22/02/2012 09:38

Well I'm off the bus and on to the next plane ladies.

After a mad cycle with lots of cramping, bachache and all sorts AF arrived this morning with a vengence. On Day 38 of all days (have been a 26 cycle day girl for the last few). Am a bit disappointed and have wasted an awful lot of money on tests but hey ho, try again.

Congrats to all the BFPs and for those not so lucky I'm feeling optimistic for next month - see you on Pipbins plane maybe?

ddas · 22/02/2012 09:59

I may jump on the next bus too as AF caught me early on this bus and although think now may be starting my 2ww hoping another bus will give me better luck plus think I'll be the last one testing so may be a bit lonely on an empty bus!! asked this on another thread but no replies so hoping will have a bit more luck with you ladies:
for those of you with little ones: have you found that since your periods returned your ovulation day changes with every cycle? I have a nearly 7 month old and ttc no 2 (I know to some people a very small age gap if we conceive quickly! but perfect for us!). periods came back about month 4 after stopping bf and seemed to have no pattern ie would last 2 weeks then a few days break then bleeding again but last 2 a bit more normal lasting 33 and 24 days. the 24 cycle I ovulated on day 12-14 according to opk but this cycle I've only just had a positive opk on day 19 ?? even odder are my temps on this cycle as seemed to have a big dip on day 6 when had only just finished AF with a sustained rise that's still on the up and have had what fertilityfriend considers fertile CM since day 7- making me think originally I'd ovulated very early on day 6. hadn't started opk then so don't have that data to see if it correlates. all very confusing but have swi just in case nearly all month as had no idea what was going on and now seems I'm ovulating later than last cycle according to opk. all this swi with no clue if it's at the right time is making both me and DH very tired!!!

Magneto · 23/02/2012 06:34

Bad news from me I'm afraid, started bleeding 3 days ago and it seems too much to be anything good. Still not as heavy as af usually is by now though Sad

TuesdayNightClub · 23/02/2012 17:40

Oh dear, this bus is losing passengers left right and centre! I'm sorry to see you all go! I'm still in for this month, 10dpo and bfn with no real symptoms so I'm not too hopeful... Anyone else still around and on 2ww?

GTbaby · 23/02/2012 21:45

high tuesday im still here, just the two of us.

i am now 1 days late for AF, should have come tomorrow, so either way will be off this bus soon!

TuesdayNightClub · 24/02/2012 08:54

Hi GTbaby, unfortunately I spoke too soon, I'm going to have to get off this bus and into the next one, I'm afraid. Started spotting last night at 10dpo which is a sign that AF is on her way. I suppose there is the tiniest possibility it is late implantation bleeding but I don't hold out much hope. Really gutted, thought everything had worked this month and was feeling confident. Have given alcohol completely now (not caffeine though!!) so maybe that will help.

Good luck to you - if AF is late do a test and I'll come back to hear how you get on! One day late is a great sign!

jencd · 24/02/2012 09:45

I am still here... in the 2ww and trying desperately to distract myself from the forums and my temp chart. Trying not to symptom spot too much either.

My cycles are soooooo long. The shortest was 38 days and longest 56 days. According to fertility friend I am ovulating, I have EGCM and around the same time I have a very small temperature shift. According to this cycle I actually OVd on CD30. It's really frustrating knowing that if this cycle isn't our one then I'll have to wait 3-4 weeks before I OV again.

I wanted to share my chart with you, to see if there's any encouragement that this cycle will be our lucky one - but I can't find how to do it?

As usual friends seem to be popping out BFPs like they're the easiest thing in the world to get and it's making me even more impatient.

It's my DH's birthday on 2nd March and I've booked us a night away in a spa on 2nd and on the evening of the 3rd we're having a big bash. FF is telling me to test on 4th March, but I'd really like to test on 3rd to have a hopefully lovely surprise for DH to wake up to. Cut to him lovingly kissing me with delight in our plush hotel room and him being over the moon at his party that evening!

If I get a BFN though this will completely ruin my day... although i will be able to use sauna, hammam and everything in the spa and drink at his party without guilt.

What do you think? Wait til the 4th or test on the 3rd at hotel? Knowing my recent luck AF will probably pop up to join us at the hotel, completely spoiling any romance and my day at the spa, obnoxious cow that she is! Angry

Symptom spotting... last month my boobs got sore at DPO 6, this time it took til DPO nine to feel tenderness, do you think that's a PG sign or am I going nuts!!! Confused

jencd · 24/02/2012 14:59

here's my chart :)

If you thought yours was all over take a look at this!

Jencd

TheDetective · 24/02/2012 19:50

I'm still here, not sure what is going on with my body :( This is the 3rd month of trying, and have had the same thing every month - faint positives on CD25 and then AF has arrived CD26 which is 2 days early. (I used to be a 28 day girl before I had a year of no periods due to implanon/cerazette). I wish I had never gone on hormonal contraception - I'm 27 and it was the first time I ever had it - before then pregnancy was easy as just looking at each other!

I'm a midwife so I spoke to one of the doctors at work last night, who said it sounds like the egg has been impregnated, but failed to implant. She said to see what happens this month, and that my fertility should be back to normal now (4 months since stopping the pill).

So, I got a little impatient. Again. LMP 2/2/12. Thought ovulation occurred round about day 12 (although didn't do any charting), so today would be 10DPO. Had a test from last month, so thought, what the hell, lets see. And yep, faint positive again.

I don't know why I bothered. I don't even know when to test again. Am I due AF on 28/2 or 1/3? Meh.

I'm beginning to think its the tests - predictor tests. My colleague also suggested that the ones that are that sensitive may be misleading, as I may have a normally slightly raised HCG around the time AF is due anyway, and to use 25iu tests instead.

Narghhhhhhh.

FrenchLimeBlossom · 25/02/2012 12:35

Well done to all the bfps.

I am on to the next bus now, AF arrived on Tuesday after I POAS that morning with a BFN. Bugger.

Perhaps see some of you there.....

TuesdayNightClub · 25/02/2012 12:46

Hmmm that is all over the place jen

Here is mine Chart

TheDetective · 25/02/2012 20:10

Ok... so I decided to change brands of test.... got a clear blue digital, and it was a BFP!!! :O Levels of shock are high!!!!

Please let this one be real! It won't feel real until the end of the week after AF is due!

TuesdayNightClub · 26/02/2012 00:19

Congratulations detective that's awesome! What brand were you using before?

TheDetective · 26/02/2012 10:58

Predictor ones...grr!!

Belgrano · 27/02/2012 14:47

Hello ladies. Just wanted to add that mine seems to have turned into a BFP, yay! I am not quite believing it but wanted to update you as I posted last week when it was a P but not remotely B or F.
Good luck to all of you.
