Hello all waves madly

Well my body decided to be play silly buggers the past couple of months. On my first cycle TTC, no less! AF arrived today, on CD46. HARRUMPH. Har har good joke, ladybits! Angry

But I am very delighted to see her in fact because I means my two months of confusion is over and I can now get cracking on this shiny new cycle!

Who's with me???? This is a glorious Superlux Superbus (the kind you'd see US presidential candidates rolling about in), with all de mod cons (dedicated champers fridge and shiny chrome margarita blender).

Zara1984 - TTC#1, Cycle 2, AF due 24 Feb

Well, after my post earlier in the thread, there's still no sign of AF. So... have bought a couple of tests and may do one later. I still very much doubt I could get a BFP and think I've wasted £5, but a friend has just told me that she conceived under the very same circumstances, so it is definitely a possibility. Meh...

Pipbin · 15/02/2012 19:02

Motility is pants I should say. If it was in his pants it wouldn't be doing us much good at all.

TuesdayNightClub · 15/02/2012 19:12

Haha I wondered about motility in pants. I thought 'that can't be the medical term, surely?' Good news about the numbers though!

Good luck possum, when is the peeing taking place?

backwardpossom · 15/02/2012 20:26

It just took place and a big fat negative. I'm not surprised or too disappointed as it was only a very very slim chance. Just have to have lots of sex. No idea where/what my cycle is doing now though!

TuesdayNightClub · 15/02/2012 20:38

Aw boo to BFNs! It's not over till the fat lady sings! I say that every month but unfortunately AF is a prolific song mistress!

cherrypiew3 · 15/02/2012 21:10

Primal I still have my fingers crossed for you when will you next be testing.

DH is on nights this week so the swi mission is going very slow.

Magneto · 15/02/2012 22:32

I bought a double pack of the clear blue digital tests on Tuesday and because I am weak I used on that night - it was negative but tbh it was 4 days before AF due so dust really expect it to be anything else.

However tonight, I have put my pjs on and they have an appliqué thing across the chest - MY GOD my nipples are hurting brushing against the inside of the appliqué! I'm going to have to change my top. I've also had slight pains in my back and stomach all day... It's probably wind Grin but I can't help symptom spotting like mad now.

I will not use the other test until af is one day late.

PrimalChic · 15/02/2012 23:19

On my third double pack of superdrug tests this month. I feel like the voice over from big brother "Day 16 post ovulation and Primal is on her fifth BFN. Aunt Flo is hiding in the diary room with BFP, who goes? You decide."

ok I think I need some Wine

I'm loving the motility in pants :)

MrsTwinks · 16/02/2012 12:09

Primal I am as bad, last night we went out and I knew I'd really want all the bad stuff on the menu, so tested twice yesterday just to make me feel less evil in doing so. Thank god for internet cheapies or I'd be bankrupting myself lol. Oh and your letter... pure gold!! me and DH may have been giggling like idiots reading that.

we haven't been using OPK's so carrying on with the "trying" even on the 2ww or would be if not for MIL. Ah the blissfulness of her on holiday with all the symptoms and thinking this is nice and all calm. She calls from france at 11pm while we are attempting to make her a grandparent to ask how her cat is.. we arent even looking after it and we are obviously supposed to know psychically!? Now I'm distracting myself from symptom spotting by remembering how much she infuriates me, and wondering how long I can keep it from her versus the joy of stopping being diplomatic and blaming on the hormones evil gleeful gin I'm a bad bad person.

StetsonsAreCool · 16/02/2012 12:50

Hi all. Just a quick look in to see how you're all doing.

It's been really hard to look in on you all, knowing that I should have been right there with you. I'm bang in the middle of my fertile stage, and it's absolutely killing me to not be able to do anything about it this month. I should be furiously SWI but instead I'm just sitting here wasting an egg Sad

Congrats to those with BFPs already, here's to a happy and healthy 9 months.

Hoping happy things come to those still waiting. And everybody else, I look forward to catching up with you on another bus. Hopefully I'll be working again soon and I won't be far behind you, save me a seat!

Pipbin · 16/02/2012 15:39

I know how you feel Stetson. How soon until you can get back on the bus?

StetsonsAreCool · 16/02/2012 17:00

It's probably going to be April now Sad

I've got a couple of irons in job fires, so if I can start a new job in March, then I should be ok to start ttc in April and get Mat leave/pay. Although it's not exactly the ethical thing to do to brand new employers.

Getting ov pains today, just to ram the message home. Thanks for that, body.

Pip, was it you who linked to the tmi cm identifier?

Pipbin · 16/02/2012 17:05

The thing is Stetson that I sat around and waited for the ethical thing to do and I regret it bitterly now.
You have to worry about yourself.

tmi cm identifier? Don't think that was me.

PrimalChic · 16/02/2012 17:13

stetsons can you get pg so soon? That's great! I had to wait at least 6 months to start trying to be eligible for maternity pay. Hmmm no such thing as gold plated maternity packages in the public sector any more!

Another BFN this morning, boob groping results in no pain, no more cramps. Thats 6 tests this minth, don't tell the husband...

floatinglotus · 16/02/2012 18:34

Hope you can get back on the bus soon, Stetsons!

Twiddling my thumbs at CD30/14DPO, AF is expected imminently as boobs have deflated somewhat (oddly they're still a bit sore.) If my period doesn't arrive in the next 12 hours I'll start considering myself late. Determined not to test until I'm a week late. We'll see how long I can/have to hold out.

TuesdayNightClub · 16/02/2012 18:39

Aw Stetson it will fly by! I am TTC without job prospects, as my fixed term contract finishes in 4 weeks. We just decided that life won't wait for me to get a permanent steady job, so we're just seeing what happens. The thought of being jobless and pregnant is scary, but the thought of not holding a babe in my arms in the next year or so is too! :-/ stupid recession!

TuesdayNightClub · 16/02/2012 18:39

A week late? Lotus, that takes nerves of steel!!

floatinglotus · 16/02/2012 18:47

I'm not saying I will actually make it a full week! :o

But I've definitely fallen off the 'test early test often' wagon- I used to do that when we first started TTC (over 2 yrs ago, we tried for 5 cycles then took a long break due to my health issues) but the repeated disappointment is so awful. Of course the TWW anxiety is also awful! I'm going to try my best to wait as long as possible though.

Pipbin · 16/02/2012 20:37

Much cheaper too lotus. Also if you are pg then there is much less chance of an ambiguous is-it isn't-it line.

StetsonsAreCool · 16/02/2012 20:39

Pip, never mind. I'll have a read back through and see if I can find it. About EWCM and fertile stages. I worded it very clunkily though!

Primal, I think if I got pg straight away (living in hope) then I'd at least be able to get SMP, which is what I survived on after DD. As long as I'd been working there for 26 weeks during the SMP qualifying week (wk25 IIRC). Probably wouldn't be able to join any company scheme that soon though. But having a baby is more important than the amount I'll get paid for the leave.

Tuesday, exactly! We wanted another baby on the way when DH was 40. He's still 40 for six months, but the thought of waiting that long makes me want to weep!

Lotus, you can do it Grin I was 6 days late when I tested with DD! At the time I had a 32 day cycle, but my longest had been 40 days. I wanted to wait until 40 days had passed before I could confidently say I was late. But I was being really horrible to DH, truly awful PMT, so he made me POAS.

Really don't want to catch any of you up on a future bus, but I will be glad of a friendly face if things don't go to plan for everyone.

floatinglotus · 17/02/2012 07:46

Was really expecting AF to arrive overnight, but nothing. Hmm. My boobs are still sore, I am slightly nauseous, and I got a random cold sore this morning.

Not going to get my hopes up. I've been stressed this week, which could easily explain the cold sore. But I can't help but wonder ..

roxy31 · 17/02/2012 08:08

lotus I need some of your will power. Am still in early tester mode!!

So advice needed fellow mumsnetters pls-

thought I was out this month, BFN yesterday 12dpo.

Went to bed early last night and thought af was coming for sure. Anyhow this morn my temp is still above cover line, did a cheeky IC test with fmu and got in the shower.

There is a pink line but it's just above the test area - sensible head says this is just void. Fmu had already been tossed so I can't do another.... Has anyone had this on an ic test? This is my first sign of any line ever - hence the optimism.
could cells be lower in my duff but working pg test? Not clutching at straws too much!!!! ??

Needless to say now I have just spotted a few more symptoms!!! :)

MrsTwinks · 17/02/2012 09:27

Well I'm off the bus, af arrived very early today, and no mistaking for anything else Sad dh asked me on the way to work when I could poas he was hopeful. Ah well, holiday in two weeks so plenty of chance then to make a baby

PrimalChic · 17/02/2012 10:29

Hmmm 5 days late for the first time in nearly 2 years. I think all that CM last week was a very late ovulation. How frustrating!! At this rate AF won't be due for another week so I think I'll save my tests and my money for next round... Bloomin' cycles!

lotus you have amazing will power!

Sticklebricksuk · 17/02/2012 12:17

Quick update on me ladies as you have all bee a great help to me through this Ttc malarkey! Well I'm now 8 days late and all tests are a BFN. I'm slowly going a bit mad. I've booked a docs appointment for next Wednesday which I'll keep if I get a BFP before then and cancel if AF comes to town. This is what the Doc advised. I had cramping on cd 21-24 and again on cd 27-29 so I'm now wondering if I ovulated late (not tracking ov as we were supposed to be "just seeing what happens" pfft so wish I had now!). I have had mad bloating which has gone now and a dull back ache, which helpfully could be AF or early symptoms. How nice of them to be exactly the same. Boobs normal but then I've never had sore boobs in my entire life ever. No idea if they're bigger as they're pretty big anyways iykwim! It's just bloody weird and I'd like to know what's going on so I can either get excited about being pg or crack on with a new cycle. Has anyone got any similar stories with either outcome? Am still a bit panicky that this means something is drastically wrong. Dreamed last night I don't have a womb which surely I would know this by now if it was true?!!! Arrrrrggggghhhhh!
