Hello all waves madly

Well my body decided to be play silly buggers the past couple of months. On my first cycle TTC, no less! AF arrived today, on CD46. HARRUMPH. Har har good joke, ladybits! Angry

But I am very delighted to see her in fact because I means my two months of confusion is over and I can now get cracking on this shiny new cycle!

Who's with me???? This is a glorious Superlux Superbus (the kind you'd see US presidential candidates rolling about in), with all de mod cons (dedicated champers fridge and shiny chrome margarita blender).

Zara1984 - TTC#1, Cycle 2, AF due 24 Feb

X posts - thanks guys. DH is here to look after us so def trying to relax. I can only hope you're right!!! If not, it's prob just because there's a healthy pregnancy right around the corner for me :)

Sticklebricksuk · 13/02/2012 20:28

Thanks for all your messages of support to stop me panicking, it really helps. tuesday that's quite a sobering thought and just what I needed to hear as part of me was clinging on to a bit of hope. Not quite how I started the month but now find myself hoping for AF just so everything seems normal!
chunky I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you love, keep us updated. Hugs.

notthehippopotamus · 13/02/2012 20:28

Fingers tightly crosses for you Chunky!

I'm off this bus unfortunately :( AF arrived a day early. I was really disappointed - I'd obviously got my hopes up far too much with that spotting. Still not sure what that was as never had a cycle like it before. Ah well, onwards! Good luck to all those with BFPs and waiting for them. :)

TuesdayNightClub · 13/02/2012 20:33

Booo, sorry to lose you notthehippo Sad

And sorry to stickle if I was a bit down on you, like I said there were lots and lots of stories of ladies who just had AF missing for ages but it took an age to get a BFP. Lots of comments like "my negative pregnancy test starts school on Monday" etc. It could be you!

cherrypiew3 · 13/02/2012 21:07

Fingers crossed for you Chunky

Notthehippo sorry AF got you hope you have better luck on the next bus.

Not getting much done in the way of SWI at the moment we are moving house and the packing and everything else seems to have taken over my life. We are just shattered when we get to bed.

Sticklebricksuk · 13/02/2012 21:15

No not at all tuesday I think you're completely right! The odds are not in my favour. That's ok though, hopefully AF will come soon and then I'll hop on the next bus with you hippo (are there more margaritas on that one?!)

Chunkychicken · 13/02/2012 22:29

Thanks everyone for that matter but really do think its all over bar the shouting - more flow & a clot (if that's not TMI). I'll POAS on Fri/Sat to be sure as I want to know if can have a glass of Wine or 10 but I think that's my lot for this one.

Good luck all of you and see you on the next bus - I'll be the one sat at the back, slightly worse for wear, clutching an empty wine bottle warbling along to a Whitney Houston tribute song x

floatinglotus · 13/02/2012 23:04

Sorry to hear you think you're on the way out chunky. :(

I was very blase about the TWW upthread but now at CD27 I've started to get a bit more interested. I am determined not to test until I'm a week late but at the same time am having to carry around massive swollen tender boobs! So hard not to get hopes up even though I know I'll probably wake up deflated tomorrow and that will be that. Sigh.

Pipbin · 13/02/2012 23:28

So sorry to hear that Chunky.

I think I'm now in the TWW.
Settles in and gets comfy on the sofa.

Biscuits anyone?

piggyboo · 14/02/2012 02:02

so sorry chunky hope you're ok and not in too much pain x

knickyknocks · 14/02/2012 06:55

Sorry chunky. The next bus will be the one going all the way for you. If things are negative on Friday then drink that large glass of wine or two (and whilst you're there have some soft cheese and pate canapes...)

Yes, still in 2ww, 4 days till I allow myself to test. Crampy and sore boobs but may all be in my mind! Pipbin I'll have that biscuit. Might even have two if you don't mind. Just waiting and watching those days go by. Thankfully have work for next few days which may help (never thought I'd say that). Hope we have some more BFP's on this thread soon XX

PrimalChic · 14/02/2012 07:47

AF is a day late, tingly nipples, light cramps and a BFN. Come on!?!

celebmum · 14/02/2012 08:35

How u feeling this morning chunky? xx

MrsTwinks · 14/02/2012 08:37

Primal I think at this stage the only symptom I'm lacking is the bfp Confused

Sticklebricksuk · 14/02/2012 10:07

Oh I'm so there with you MrsTwinks. DH was eating some peanuts upstairs and the smell was so strong downstairs I couldn't believe it! Now obviously this must mean my BFP is only minutes away right!
Anyway, another day still no AF. 5 days late now. Haven't poas since Sunday so tomorrow morning will do again if still nothing. The suspense is killing me.

Pipbin · 14/02/2012 16:34

We are off to get the results of DH's SA tomorrow. Any advice about what to look for and ask etc?

PrimalChic · 14/02/2012 19:54

Still no sign. I keep dashing to the loo to see if AF is here yet. I've used up all 4 superdrug earlies and I have one boots cheapie left. Hmmm next month I'm not testing until AF fails to show up. Yup. That's right.

pipbin, when my friends went for SA, they were told lots about count, mobility and if there's any abnormality. He had low count and mobility and as she has some issues too, they went one step further than IVF where they select the strongest swimmer and fertilise it manually. Lots of options depending on the results whether they tell you all is fine or not.

knickyknocks · 14/02/2012 20:55

OK so I caved and tested....a BFN, but AF not due till Saturday. I was feeling hopeful this month, but am starting to think this isn't my month. Will be gutted.

Hope all goes well tomorrow pipbin

RunningKatie · 14/02/2012 21:27

I took a step back as I was going a bit scary with the ttc malarkey so I haven't kept up. AF is due on Thursday, I have no tests in the house and I don't feel pregnant if that makes sense? Last time I had the super smell-sense with cheese and onion crisps from across the office, but also had really sore boobs. This time I can't tell if I have sore boobs as I'm still bf'ing DD and she's got her first tooth!

Good luck to everyone on the 2ww :) and best of luck for tomorrow pipbin

Pipbin · 14/02/2012 22:15

Thanks all for the good luck wishes. I know that if there is a low count etc then all is not lost.
It's still making both of us anxious though.

roxy31 · 15/02/2012 08:25

RunningKatie i know what you mean. Me too. I've been going crazy this 2ww. Last week I seemed to have every symptom imaginable. The consistent one is a dull headache which i've had pretty much throughout the 2ww. I am probably dehydrated and need an eye test!!!

MIL was here at the weekend and started on the whole 'I want some more grandchildren' rant. In the end we told her that we have actually been trying for 6 months now and to back off. She was taken aback - another annoying person with no issues TTC. She's had 5 and were still trying for number 1!!!

So anyway i'm 11 DPO today and caved this morn and got a BFN. I know its early but with a short 25 day cycle i doubt it will happen for me this month.

Still FX all the same and for the rest of you testing in the next few days :)

Chunky sorry to hear your news

Pipbin good luck today

bettergetamoveon · 15/02/2012 09:12

I'm hoping chunky is ok. Haven't seen her on since her sad news the other day Sad. Hope you get some helpful optimistic news pipbin. i have my fingers crossed for you.

I hate this 2ww. It seems to last forever and I go from imagining symptoms to nothing, to imagining symptoms again. It's driving me crazy. Must keep busy for another week.

Pipbin · 15/02/2012 14:59

Off to the doctors in about 30 minutes. I could be sick I'm so anxious.

I'll report back.

PrimalChic · 15/02/2012 15:35

Best of luck pipbin

Dear AF, you were due to pay a me visit on Monday 13th February and to this date, you have not arrived as scheduled. As I have not received your appologies in the form of a BFP, I am led to worry about your wellbeing. Please could you either get in contact with me through some early cramping or tender boobs or announce your departure through a positive pregnancy test. Yours frustratedly, PrimalChic.

Pipbin · 15/02/2012 17:01

Results are in:
Count is huge - 180mill/ sample
Motility in pants 12% grade a, 7% grade b.

My thinking is that it is low motility but that is still a lot of swimmers heading in the right direction. 12% of 180 mil is a lot.
