And Solars I hope you had that nice lunch out.

GreenOlives · 11/12/2011 21:20

Forgot to say earlier, sorry about AF Solars but like Munkiii says I hope you had a lovely lunch and watched a good film followed by a nice glass of Wine xx

GreenOlives · 11/12/2011 21:22

Oh and thanks for the mince pie Munkiii, I've just warmed mine up and it's yummy Xmas Wink xx

ArcticMunkiiii · 11/12/2011 22:04

Grin you never know!

Can I request some brooking for tomorrow? We have our hospital appointment, just funny timing with the mc and so on. Not sure what to expect and so on.

ArcticMunkiiii · 11/12/2011 22:04

Two 'and so on' ....... Clearly time for bed.

IMaybeanElf · 12/12/2011 08:28

Morning all! How are we all on this sunny Monday morning?

Welcome Scarlett I agree with Munk and Olives may just be your cycle taking a while to settle Xmas Smile

Loving the name change Munk Xmas Grin I am brooking like there's no tomorrow for you today. What time is the appointment?

Hurrah for the egg Olives sounds like you've been smacking that rat good and proper Xmas Grin I think I have had a nasty allergic reaction to something. I have woken up with a really swollen face and funny throat. Waiting for the chemist to open to get some piriton, but DH thinks I should go to the docs as well to get it checked out. It's my work Christmas lunch today, but at the moment I am not going anywhere Xmas Sad I look like I've had botox! Not a good look Xmas Smile

CupcakesAndCocktails · 12/12/2011 09:20

Morning

Rushes in with some piriton for Maybe, hope you feel better soon. I would get down to the doctors. Mumps has been on the increase lately so you should get checked out. I'm sure it isn't that but just to be safe.

Munkii I'm brooking for your appointment later. Let us know how you get on.

Yay for the smiley face Green, I agree you have smacked that rat beyond a doubt Grin

Have how are you doing lovely? It's awful to be going through all this but I'm still so glad you & MrHave are ok. Hope your getting on alright at your dads? Any idea how long before they can get working on your place?

Solars sorry to hear the witch turned up

Right news from the Cupcake household, I turned 30 yesterday I had a lovely weekend. My DH threw a surprise party for me. All my close family were there, which was impressive on it's own as most don't even live in the Uk! A lot of my friends travelled for it as well. I was really touched.

Am now back to reality, have got work later today. Don't know what cycle day it is, don't have a clue about ovulation and have only DTD once this month. Tis refreshing! Grin

Btw love the Xmas names

CupcakesAndCocktails · 12/12/2011 09:21

Sorry Maybe meant to say it's rubbish that you might have to miss Xmas lunch Sad

farfallarocks · 12/12/2011 09:30

Morning gals,

solars I am so so sorry to hear about AF, I know how disheartening it is and some months really get to you more than others don;t they? I am pleased you managed to get out and enjoy the day with your OH though. Hvae some big hugs from me. When is your next appointment?

muunkki thinking of you today. The exact same thing happened to me, I went to the hospital to have some blood tests on the 15th August and that was the date I was meant to have my scan as well :( But I am brooking no argument it all gets sorted out and we have some nice September babies to contend with!

cupcake that sounds absolutely lovely, what a lovely DH you have!

maybe has your af actually arrived yet? You are killing me!!!!

olives I am very impressed indeed with the rat smacking, that BFP will be yours!

We had a lovely weekend at a wedding, I had a lot of champagne and danced to a great band.

Has anyone seen bean she has missing for a while

Also thinking oflate and hoping all is well with this pregnancy?

PopcornMouse · 12/12/2011 09:31

Hi scarlett!

Olives Ooo so you're in the 2ww now?

Munkii that sounds like a great Sunday afternoon! Elf is fab :o

IMaybeanElf · 12/12/2011 09:41

Thanks everyone, got some piriton in me now, so fingers crossed it will start to work soon. Rang the GP and they said to see how I am at lunch and call back if no better. That's interesting about the mumps Cupcakes, I will keep an eye on it. So glad you had a lovely birthday, bless your DH, that must have been lovely Xmas Smile Very happy birthday!

Far no, she hasn't arrived. I have had a tiny bit of brown spotting, but no cramps or anything as of yet. Watch this space Xmas Grin Your weekend sounded lovely Xmas Smile

Pop good luck with all that SWI.

ScarlettInSpace · 12/12/2011 10:00

Thanks everyone Xmas Smile
Bluddy nature, I have to stick to a schedule in life, why can't my body?

Re the OPK's, I usually need the loo when I get in from work every day so I tend to do them then, but around the time I think it should show, or I get some faint lines, I do them mid morning too so I don't miss it. I think the only reason I missed it last month was I got too complacent and thought my body was in a routine so started doing it too late in my cycle.

Charting temp is a no for me, I've usually got up & gone to the loo before I've even actually opened my eyes in the morning...

TBH I'm happier if Ov moves closer to start of cycle, as OH spends all week following AF making up for no bedroom action during AF so plenty of SWI without it actually being WI! [PS, can't use acronym 'DP' sorry, saw it once on some dodgy porn dvd cover as shorthand for double penetration Xmas Blush ]

Oh, on acronym's, when I first started reading this site, I googled SWI to see what it actually translated as - Skiing Whilst Intoxicated anyone? Xmas Grin

SantaAndHisChristmasImps · 12/12/2011 10:21

Morning! I've gone against my "no Santa" rule for a festive name change - FatherChristmasAndHisChristmasImps was a bit long.

Solars so sorry about that old cow getting you. Have you had tests? Sorry I can't remember if you have or not. Hope you had a nice day with DH. Chin up, keep on at it - it will happen and probably when you least expect it.

Hellooo and welcome Scarlett! It took a while for my cycles to sort themselves out when I came off the pill. Luckily I decided to stop taking it a whole year before starting TTC so I didn't have to worry about both things at the same time!

Munkiii we're obviously brooking no argument whatsoever that your hospital appointment goes well. We will simply not have it any other way.

Poor ol' puffy faced Maybe. Hope the piriton works - sounds nasty. Can't believe that you're not PIACR daily! Very pleased to hear that AF still hasn't visited but the suspense is killing me!

CD4 here. 16 days to ov and counting. Booooooorrrrrrring.

PopcornMouse · 12/12/2011 10:46

Omg scarlett I actually lol'd when you said DP makes you think of double penetration! I am never going to look at that acronym the same again Blush :o

I sympathise Imps and like the name! I am still pondering my xmas name change. The one I picked was way too long :(

SweetieTinselandBaubles · 12/12/2011 10:47

Munkii loving the festive name change!! Xmas Grin Good luck with the appointment later, fx all goes well.

Olives thank goodness for the agreeable OPK stick, was beginning to think that egg was never going to get laid.

Poor Maybe you really are having a time of it lately. I do hope you get sorted out and it is easily treated.

Happy Birthday Cupcake sounds like you had a splendid time of things and DH did you proud.

Loving the name change Imps very festive.

I am feeling a bit low today as over did it at the weekend very drunken fool that I am and feel guilty that I may have ruined our good efforts last week. Managed to SWI at all the right times in lead up to Fridays ovulation, even DTD Sat just in case. Ahhhhhhhh could kick myself. [shameful emoticon]

DeckTheHallsWithPopcornMice · 12/12/2011 10:54

sweetie I'm sure it was fine, I honestly don't think the odd over-indulgence makes any difference. Well done on all the great-timed SWI!

I am on day 5 of sobriety and it's p.a.n.t.s. Hmm I have lost another 1lb though however I would much rather be fat and pregnant so I'm on target for the big 10-oh by Christmas so that I can then stuff myself silly guilt free and gain it all back :o

Loooopy · 12/12/2011 11:18

just a quick post from me as DS keeps trying to grab the laptop..

good luck munki with hospital appt

maybe get well fast and if AF hasn't arrived, maybe it means you will have a BFP after all this year??!

have hope you get the house sorted soon, must be a nightmare having to be discreet about SWI!

scarletinspace welcome to our very chatty thread!

So i'm on CD 15. First cycle since had DS, due to continued breastfeeding. Not a clue if will even ovulate. Am using cheap internet ov sticks, not a clue if they are any good, yet to have one that shows anything than the control line. Lots of sites say the average woman has a 28 day cycle and ov on day 14. No idea if i do either. So either i am not ovulating, or if i am, i guess that means my cycle is longer than 28 days and i don't therefore ovulate on day 14?

I have also started temping for the first time ever, but so far 36.3 seems to be my norm, was 36.4 yesterday but back to 36.3 today, so nothing to suggest i've ov'd from those either.

Had SWI just in case on Fri and Sun. But wondering what days those who chart/test know that they ovulate on? As wondering how far off the average day 14 people might actually ovulate on?

SantaAndHisChristmasImps · 12/12/2011 11:22

Loooopy I ovulate on day 18 or 19! I read on Google that this is a sign of low oestrogen but I am ignoring that

SantaAndHisChristmasImps · 12/12/2011 11:22

Come to think of it, the last couple of cycles have been Day 20!

BeedleTheBahHumbug · 12/12/2011 11:29

Welcome scarlet and congratulations on being pregnant just by joining us Xmas Grin

maybe hope you're feeling a bit better - have you googled to check its not an obscure pregnancy sign? Xmas Hmm

sweetie I'm sure the alcohol has done you and future bean no harm whatsoever.

I've been doing the cutting down on alcohol for a few months but I'm forgetting about it until January - I will have alcohol at my Christmas do on Friday and over the holidays unless I get an ironic BFP as an early gift I'm also not symptom spotting either so if I start to mention the stabbing pain I had in my abdomen earlier feel free to slap me with a wet fish Xmas Grin

Someone asked earlier if I live in Sweden - yes I do, but don't start getting jealous about us having a white christmas, its just rainy and windy here too at the moment (just slightly too warm for snow Xmas Angry )

Forgotten what else I was going so say so I'll just leave some pepperkakor (Swedish Christmassy gingery spicy biscuits - get some from Ikea as their lovely)

Loooopy · 12/12/2011 11:32

thanks imps handy to know how late it might be, never got as far as this when trying for DS, as 1) i hadn't discovered mumsnet etc and 2) we weren't trying, more not not trying, and literally the first time we had sex without me being on the pill, DS was on his way. Don't expect things to be as quick second time round, and feel like i need to be more clued up this time, but hoping that we can at least do our best to smack the rat at the right times to increase our chances!!

oh and loving the name changes. but not a clue how to do that, and not sure the whizz around mountain will distract DS for long enough for me to stay on here to figure it out!!

BeedleTheBahHumbug · 12/12/2011 11:33

forgot to say good luck munkiii

and since I took so long typing I missed your post loooopy I'll add that I usually ov on day 10 or 11, but as a comparison my temp at the moment CD15 I think was about 37 deg this morning so it doesn't sound like you've missed it

DeckTheHallsWithPopcornMice · 12/12/2011 11:44

loopy I think "normal" luteal phases can be between 10-16 days, so in a 28 day cycle you could ov anywhere between CD12 & CD18 - but as it's your first cycle after breastfeeding it might be a longer cycle and later ov - I'm not sure how quickly things get back to normal iykwim.

Loooopy · 12/12/2011 13:11

beedle i only started temping on friday, day 12, can i just check i am understanding right, are you saying that you don't think i have missed ov on say day 11 or 12 as my temperature would have been higher day 12/13/14 and i'd have seen a drop in temperature by now? (all new science to me!!) i gather if you get pregnant your temp stays higher, but as we didn't SWI until evening of day 12, if i had ov on day 10 or 11 i don't think it would have timed right anyhow for fertilisation, so hoping i am right that am yet to ovulate? does my ramblings make sense to anyone? Xmas Grin

BeedleTheBahHumbug · 12/12/2011 13:26

looopy assuming you mean I'd have seen a rise in temperature, then yes I think you are still to ovulate (assuming you will on your first proper cycle - I'm not sure how these things work)
