Welcome to all!

Grab a glittery tinsel wrapped ramekin, grab some mulled wine and join our very lucky thread.

Hello festive frisky ones - what wonderful transformations have occurred in my absence. Buggering Virgin have cocked up my broadband so I've been offlined. Am using HTC - tricky.

Big hugs to Solars. It's just rubbish for you but your time must be around the corner.

Olives great news for you. We got smiley on Friday. We had 4 days of SWI from Wednesday and OH left for Liberia (work) at 4am on SUNDAY. Just squeezed in enough for a BFP you reckon?

What's happened with Maybe's BFP?

X

beangrower · 12/12/2011 14:26

Ps I won't even attempt to change my name on the mobile service but it should be beanglitter which is doubly as powerful as baby dust and edible so you can decorate your festive baked goods with it... I am throwing handfuls at all of you in the room so a massive heap of BFPs now guaranteed.

Solars · 12/12/2011 14:34

Hello ladies,

Just had to say I did in fact have a lovely day on Saturday, however since then things have turned for the worse between DH and myself. We will not be continuing on with ttc. So this is a farewell to you all and I just wanted to say thank you for all your kind words and support over the last few months, it has been very gratefully received. I'm sending you out lots of love and positive thoughts. I'm sure i'll be lurking to see how you are all doing. Lots and lots of love to you all and really hope I will be able to join you all if it's not too late for me to ttc in the future. Xx

SantaAndHisChristmasImps · 12/12/2011 14:58

Oh Solars what a tough call - so so sorry to see you go. Hope all is okay with you and DH. Please come back again when the time is right.

DeckTheHallsWithPopcornMice · 12/12/2011 15:16

Oh Solars :(
Ttc is incredibly emotionally wearing on both parties, I hope you're both ok. Sending big Christmassy

farfallarocks · 12/12/2011 16:02

Oh solars you poor thing, we are here to vent if you want to talk about it.

Don't forget that a lot of things are said in the heat of the moment that no one means. This may not be the case for you at all and tell me to bugger off if I have got this wrong but DH's find it so hard to see us upset month after month. DH has said the same thing to me (let's stop for a while) when I was crying and upset after the 2nd chemical pregnancy. He just did not want the stress if it and since then, I try and vent more to my friends and less to him.

We are here for you whatever you decide to do!

IMaybeanElf · 12/12/2011 16:30

Oh Solars you poor love. I agree with Far, so many things get said that aren't meant. We are always here for you. Lots of love to you and MrSolars x

I managed a couple of hours sleep, and now my eyes are going again, time for some more piriton me thinks.

AF is arriving in true painful style Xmas Sad Ah well, onwards and upwards as they say. January is the start to a new TTC year.

GenericDietCola · 12/12/2011 16:59

Just popping on quickly from work to say sorry to see you go Solars. I hope you are OK, you come across as a lovely, caring person and I hope you get your longed-for baby soon enough (even if that is via adoption, which I know you said you were open to). Hope I haven't spoken out of turn.

Get well soon Maybe and tell AF I think that's mighty rude of her to turn up so late and be so mean.

Hello to everyone else - loving the festive names. All OK with me I think - 7 weeks now!

farfallarocks · 12/12/2011 17:01

Yay for generic getting to 7 weeks!!

maybe really sorry to hear about AF, I really thought you had nailed it this month.

You are quite right indeedy, 2012 will be our year and I have always wanted a September baby. This time next year we will all be cuddling our newborns for xmas. BROOKING NO ARGUMENT WHATSOEVER

SantaAndHisChristmasImps · 12/12/2011 17:09

Maybe, can't believe that AF is doing that to you. Wench. We're all going to be The Class of September 2012 though so you'd better get used to that.

Latest update from FB Friend who has a bad case of First-Person-To-Have-Ever-Been-Pregnant-itis:

Omg, I know this sounds ridiculous, but I've just realised that within the next 7 weeks at the most I'm going to be a Mum of 2... Aaaaaaaaargh! ;)

Would it be rude to put "I'm sure you'll be able to just get on with it, like most people do."?

7 weeks Generic - hurrah!

DeckTheHallsWithPopcornMice · 12/12/2011 17:20

:o Imps

Sorry to hear AF has arrived maybe! Do you think you might be allergic to AF? That really would be taking brooking to the next level :o

Far I confess to living in dread of the inevitable "Ooooo Christmas accident?" comments with a September baby. So I'm quietly brooking for an ironic BFP for Christmas :o

farfallarocks · 12/12/2011 17:25

popcorn no one dare say that to me, honestly, I have made my feelings on 'accidents' very clear to my friends :)

imps urghhhhhh

DeckTheHallsWithPopcornMice · 12/12/2011 17:34

Muah ha ha, maybe I need to do the same far!

I am anticipating needing to be meeean once I'm pg. I'm reading loads of scary shizzle on MN about random people groping your bump in the street Shock, or giving you bags on unwanted advice, lecturing you about bottles/winding/etc and being generally judgemental to pg women and new mothers! MN is a scaaaaary place... Confused

SmegTheHalls · 12/12/2011 17:37

to you Solars. So sorry to hear you won't be with us for a little while. I hope you and your DH sort everything out between you.

Maybe Angry at AF. How dare she turn up so late?! I hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry, I'm ill today (caught DD's cold and had about 4 hours sleep a night over the weekend) and am struggling with reading on the craptop. I hope to catch up with you all properly soon, but in the meantime...

Mwah! My christmas gift to you all Xmas Smile

SmegTheHalls · 12/12/2011 17:42

Imps, re: your FH friend, I have actually, in response to a similar type of friend, posted a link to this site. She didn't even defriend me, so I ended up hiding her posts!

[evil Smegs emoticon]

In my defence I had a 3 week old baby and was extremely a touch hormonal.

SmegTheHalls · 12/12/2011 17:44

FB.

Gosh darn it.

BeedleTheBahHumbug · 12/12/2011 18:11

solars so sorry to hear your news. I do hope you can sort things out (hugs)

maybe how blooming dare AF turn up like that after getting all our hopes up for so long. Hope its the last time for nine months.

generic 7 weeks Xmas Grin

I'm home alone as DP will be late home from a meeting, he's deserting me on Wed and Thursday too so plenty of time for me to waste here get the tidying done before Christmas

ScarletFestiveFingernail · 12/12/2011 18:21

Just de-lurking to say I'm really sorry Solars that you're having a rough time. Best of luck for the future xx

ArcticMunkiiii · 12/12/2011 19:11

Sad Solars as everyone has said, we are here if you need us. I hope you and DH can work it out and that we will see you again soon. You have been so lovely and supportive to all of us, not just me.

Angry maybe how very dare AF...... Well you will have to enjoy all the brie and wine. January will be your month.

Congrats generic lovely news, and may I say you are glowing!

Happy birthday cupcakes the big 30! Hope you had a lovely day.

And a big hello and thanks to all gfor the brooking. The appointment went well, the dr was lovely and supportive. I had an internal scan from hell, the dr didn't really know what she was doing and I started to really feel sore and then got, clammy.... Hands went numb and I thought I was going to be sick. She then went for a nurse and the rest of the scan was ok. Have ruled out PCOS thankfully.

Plan is, we carry on as we are for 6 months. If I achieve a pg then I can request am early scan at the unit. If I miscarry for a third time then I am referred to the RMC. If nothing happens then I will be put on clomid.

I am happy, but my fanjo feels like a rugby team has had a rummage! Couldn't go back to work so have tried to take it easy this afternoon. Had an unexpected extra afternoon with DD and we had a lovely snuggle in front of the tv.

Hope everybody else's days were ok?

10dpo here.......

ArcticMunkiiii · 12/12/2011 19:12

Sorry about the typos......bloody iPad Angry

TheLittleFairyOnTopOfTheTree · 12/12/2011 19:42

Hi all

Solars so sorry you are having a hard time, take care of yourself and hope to see you soon.

Sorry it didn't happen this month maybe, September genius baby coming your way though Xmas Smile

And glad you had a productive appointment munk, sounds like the doctor needs to improve his internal scan technique though. They really shouldn't feel like that!

ArcticMunkiiii · 12/12/2011 19:46

Hi little how are you doing?

Yes, I have had five internal scans in my time but this one took the Biscuit!

Non alcoholic mulled wine and a mince pie while you are here?

TheLittleFairyOnTopOfTheTree · 12/12/2011 19:53

yum, thanks Munk.

I'm doing well thanks, painful trapped wind today, but hoping a load of gaviscon will help.
Told doctor I was pregnant today, but nothing now til booking appointment with mw, which won't be til about 11 weeks. I'm glad I've got Xmas to fill the wait! x

ArcticMunkiiii · 12/12/2011 20:16

Good old gaviscon, except the strawberry one Envy yuk!

Hope it shifts soon and time goes quickly, so pleased and excited for you!

GreenOlives · 12/12/2011 21:20

Hello ladies!

I'm hoping the fanjo is settling down now Munkiii, that does not sound like fun! Glad you were happy with the plan of action though.

Sad for AF Maybe, hope your rash is settling down now, perhaps you really are allergic to the witch!

Glad you had a great birthday weekend Cupcakes, your DH sounds like a star Xmas Grin

Pop the SWI baton is all yours Xmas Wink

Sweetie please don't worry about the over-indulging, it won't have done any harm at all, we all need to let our hair down, this TTC is hard work!

Hey cycle buddy Bean, we have both definitely smacked the rat enough for our festive BFPs I'm sure of it Grin

Sorry to hear of your troubles Solars, take care and I hope you can come back and join us soon.

I am so with you on the FB tts Imps! Whilst I was in hospital awaiting surgery for my ectopic I read a post from one of my colleagues (expecting her 3rd child, all 3 pregnancies conceived first month of trying!) about how she was dreading her anti-D injection because it was just "soooo painful last time, the things us women have to go through when we are pregnant". It took all my self control not to tell her to fuck right off and be bloody grateful for her easy to conceive healthy pregnancies!

Work was pants today, wish my annual leave lasted longer!
