Come on!9 days

Imps7 · 07/12/2011 16:48

9 days til what Difficult?!

SweetieDoesIt · 07/12/2011 16:58

Afternoon all
I have come home from work early couldn?t be arsed due to snow flurries Xmas Wink and needing to get Christmas shopping started this evening, thank goodness for late night opening.

Has Maybe PIACR while I have been at work????

Hi Far I don?t think we have ?met?, the hols sounds fab just what was needed to re-connect with DH Xmas Wink

Smegs how did the trip to IKEA go, you brave person!

Stasi loving the SA hospital dash, very ingenious place to store it for transportation purposes.

Whims I often wear my dressing gown around the house admittedly not while sitting on a bale of hay but don?t recall getting visited by angels, I am sure I would remember that Xmas Hmm

SWI yesterday after the CD9 snow related EWCM, also used first OPK which didn?t show anything. Think mother nature playing games again but will take no arguements this month.

Biscuitsandtea · 07/12/2011 17:02

Have glad har you've at least got some answers re DH - and I hope that the medication will do the trick nice and quickly for you. How long does he have to take the drugs for? Are there any side effects potentially for DH?

Honestly you two have been through the mill - what a week of ups and downs!!! I can scarcely believe that you've had such a week of it, but hopefully it's all upwards for you now. Successful drug treatment, a repeat scan showing the nicest looking pituitary ever, a shiny nice well decorated house as soon as possible and everything back where you want it, and then to top it off, you'll win your baby and have a tip-top new and improved hubby and house to enjoy it with. Sound like a plan?

I'm currently eating medicinal nutella after it took 25 minutes to get into a car park at the hospital for DS's eye appt. DH and DS had already had to go in, so I missed most of the appt and got gestured at by an incompetent bus driver to boot - Gah!

difficulttimes · 07/12/2011 17:07

sorry just thinking out loud, 9 days till the pill's thrown away lol

Biscuitsandtea · 07/12/2011 17:11

This might be a thicko question (I've never been on the pill) but if you want to start ttc can't you just stop taking it? Do you have to stop at a specific point?

Just wondered....

beangrower · 07/12/2011 17:26

Tis the season to get jiggy, falalalalalalala.

Have - so much happening. Tough news but must be such a relief after two years of hell in the waiting room, IYKWIM. I really hope you are now on a safe path to BFP, even if it's slow-going. We are here for you with baked goods.

Bean Towers Chrimbo tree is up. Yay. DS rapidly undecorating it. Boo.

DP and I have had day off together, child-free. So lovely. We even made baked orange ring Chrimbo decs. I don't know many men who would join in me in such activities. I am blessed.

Olives I'm one day behind you and no smiley face for me either (which is odd, I seem to get a Smile every cd12 so am quite intrigued). But we had day off so indulged in SFF Blush which was a bit naughty as I was thinking it might be best to save up my old duffer's wrigglers for Pk time. Ah well. SFF has been undernourished for some time so I think it's worth feeling proud.

ScrambledSmegs · 07/12/2011 17:40

Yay for answers, Have! OK, so not yay for your DH and his poor beleaguered pituitary gland, but at least it can be treated.

Arf at medicinal nutella, biscuits! I wish I had that in my first aid box!

Ok, so I've braved IKEA -was ok, fortified myself with meatballs and free tea-, then the supermarket, then went and bought some presents. I'm done in. I keep trying to pretend that this is actually pregnancy fatigue, but I think several nights of broken sleep plus a full-on day will do this to anyone!

IKEA had some cute decorations though, I got some stuffed red & cream felt hearts for the tree (v Skandi-chic), some woven twig balls for the fireplace
and some snowflake lights. Well cheap, innit!

GreenOlives · 07/12/2011 18:27

Sorry to hear about your DHs scan results Have, it's definitely been an eventful week for you. It's great that it can be treated though so 2012 is going to be THE year that you get your baybee! Xmas Grin

Brooking really hard for Generic twins, great news on the HCG rising over and above the "norm", how exciting would that be? I'd LOVE twins, but as you rightly say just one healthy baby would do me just fine too!

Very exciting you've got snow flurries Sweetie, whereabouts are you? I'm facing a marathon Xmas shopping trip tomorrow and I'm dreading it! Very impressed with Smegs braving Ikea, I do love their meatballs but the queues at the tills are always soooo long!

Your day sounds lovely bean, some grown-up time and some grown-up activities too, nudge nudge Xmas Wink The little swimmers live for up to 5 days don't they so some of those SFF ones will be hanging around in preparation for the egg that's about to pop!

I too believe in the medicinal powers of Nutella Biscuits, its got nuts in and they are some kind of superfood aren't they? Xmas Wink

Really need to write my present shopping list for tomorrow but I'm putting it off, will maybe try and find a few bits online!

Enjoy your evening ladies. xx

Solars · 07/12/2011 19:08

I've just made a lovely prawn curry for 1 as DH is out on his christmas work do tonight so I've got some time to catch up with you all. So let me see...

Scrambled you are a very brave woman to tackle IKEA innit, I have to admit I refuse to go there now as I swear as soon as I walk through the door my head starts hurting! By the way I love the sound of your dream hope it's a premonition!

Have oh my goodness! I'm so glad to hear that you have some answers and what a great way to start the new year, DH on the mend, house sorted and a baby on the way very soon, lovely, roll on 2012!

Far I've done the crying in the toilet too so that makes me a sad case too but we will all get there my hopes are now pinning on Smegs premonition

Generic so lovely to hear about your results, Yay! I'm sure the 12 week scan will come around in no time! By the way weren't you wistfully dreaming of twins when Dream announced she is having twins?? Sounds like you've sub-conciously been asking the universe for twins!

Pop how are you doing? Was the R1 programme on asking the universe good ? Is it related to what it talks about in The Secret book?

Hope you get to see those smiley faces soon Olives, Bean & Sweetie here are some for you in the meantime :) :) :)

Whimsi hope the faculty forum was fun!

Imps hope you can convince OH to give you a back massage

Maybe how are you doing?

Hi to everyone else!

Well Gynae have offered me an appointment this friday, which is a bit pointless in my opinion as the original appointment was all to do with being half way through the six months and looking at dosage etc and how I was getting on with it and I won't even have finished my second month of clomid by this friday! So looks like i'm going to have to take the one which is now in February. I can make the January one on my own but DH said he really wants to come with me. Well as you girls have pointed out I'm not got to be needing that appointment anyway! Grrrr consultants shouldn't be allowed to go on month long vacations!!!

beangrower · 07/12/2011 19:29

Ah Olives - now that's where my book learning has come in handy. Healthy spermies can live up to five days in the right conditions, namely lots of EWCM. EWCM or the right kind of CM is not quite as abundant in the older bird as it is the younger lady. That'll be because we get a bit too progesteroney as we get nearer lovely old menopause. Boo. So the fertile window tends to be bigger for younger women who have more balanced hormones. Of course this doesn't mean one can't get up the duff in one's vintage - one just has to have better awareness and timing. A better aim for rat-smacks. Xmas Wink Now at cd12 my CM is looking pretty rubbish. But hey - I hope to get some soon. Fx. Keep well and enjoy the SWI/SFF - you must be near the egg-laying day. Hope this is a BFP winning-egg.

TTFN - happy evening to everyone else.

TheLittleFriend · 07/12/2011 19:34

bean please don't stree about the EWCM thing. I only say this because I did and totally over-thought it, then managed to get a bfp anyway. You'll be saying the same thing too when you get your BFP in a couple of weeks Xmas Wink x

Munkiii · 07/12/2011 19:43

Evening all...remember me Blush...? Been missing in action.

Being back at work and DD's milk allergy and reflux not being great at the moment have meant I have had little time to post.

Have read back best I can....

Have I hope the appropriate treatment is found for your DH and that things start to settle down for you all soon.

Smegs well done on your Ikea mission

Munkiii · 07/12/2011 20:12

Oh I forgot to update how things are in the Munkiii house.

Well things seem to back back to normal after the mc, I used my OPKs and they showed I ovulated at some point over the weekend. We SWI on Thursday and Sunday so fingers crossed.

I have, shall we say, an abundance of CM all cycle. Blush.

Took an OPK today and negative, so am definantely in the 2ww. I am predicting that AF is not due 17th December.

We'll see. Have a hospital app Monday in any case to discuss the bizarre blood tests showing no ovulation......

OP posts:
possiblemaybebaby · 07/12/2011 20:15

Ah, that all sounds positive Munk. Science sucks at the moment, can't wait for it to be Christmas so I can escape it Xmas Grin

BeedleTheBard · 08/12/2011 05:06

Imps7 · 08/12/2011 07:16

Morning everyone! Hope you're enjoying this lovely FRIDAY morning!! God, I love FRIDAYS - the last day of the week! You can stick your other days of the week - give me a FRIDAY any time. That's why I'm so happy that it's finally FRIDAY.

possiblemaybebaby · 08/12/2011 07:59

Morning all! If she is still not here today, I PROMISE to PIACR. Temp was up from 98.48 to 99.98 this morning. No wonder I feel warm. I really wish I could work from home today, cannot be bothered to go outside Xmas Grin

Stasi take care today what with that storm hitting. And all other rat smackers that are at the top of the world.

How are we all this morning?

CupcakesAndCocktails · 08/12/2011 08:04

Good morning! I'm back, I've been to Cologne in Germany for a few days. I had a lovely time and it really got me into the christmas spirit. It's not my birthday until sunday though so I still have a few more days until I'm 30!

Maybe I have just one word for you my dear-TEST!!!! Wink

Imps what's going on with you?! When are you PIACR again?! Grin

Far lovely to see you back. So glad you had a great holiday.

Generic fantastic news about the blood results. It will soon be time for that 12 week scan.

Dream I'm still in shock about you having twins! Can't believe it's two boys, how wonderful Grin

Have my god you have had a crazy week. Congrats on DH promotion. Am really sorry to hear about his growth. However I am glad for the two of you that they have found what is wrong. Hope the medication does the trick.

Solars god that's so rubbish about the appointment. No wonder you where so mad.

Waves to Beedle, Scrambled, Whimsical, Bean, Pop, Little, Biscuits and Stasi

Sorry I can't remember anything else Blush I'll have to read back again x
