Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

The rats are all going to be jolly well smacked, we are going to have lots of festive BFPs and possibly a mince pie (or three)

Ooooo Maybe how very interesting, I think that if you test tomorrow that should definitely give you an answer. Please will you test tomorrow?

Stasi · 07/12/2011 12:56

Maybe I think subconsciously you want to PIACR. Your post to me said "I am brooking no argument for your results next wee."

Put your subconscious out of it's misery (and the rest of us) and give in! Xmas Wink

GreenOlives · 07/12/2011 13:17

Well I've done the questionaire and I'm "stuck" apparently - going to struggle with avoiding alcohol but I'm pretty good with my complex carbs and I'm already on most of the suggested supplements!

Feeling very excited for you Maybe, I have a good feeling that there will be a BFP to report very soon. Did you test this morning Imps?

Sorry you're feeling Xmas Sad far, it's crappy when people announce their pregnancies and despite being pleased for them it just seems to hammer home the fact that it's not you! I do it all the time then beat myself up about it for being bitter! It WILL be us very soon!

CD13 here, no smiley face on my stick today so still awaiting the egg laying, SWI last night despite being knackered - hows that for dedication Xmas Wink

No time to name check everyone as I'm off to swimming lesson with DS but hello to all Xmas Grin

P.s fell asleep twice during my facial last night and woke myself up snoring - classy bird hey? Xmas Grin

possiblemaybebaby · 07/12/2011 13:40

Hope the pool isn't too chilly Olives And well done you on the SWI front Xmas Wink

BeedleTheBard · 07/12/2011 13:40

BeedleTheBard · 07/12/2011 13:41

PopcornMouse · 07/12/2011 13:53

I feel a tad lost BESH.....butter dishes but I get it now secret lezzer love chat between riehie and boobelicious?
It never rains but it Pours. DH has heard from the consultant. He does have a growth on the pituitary after all. Which is not good but also good.
So the good news is after two years of unsuccessful shagging, we know exactly why we haven'wolof my pregnant yet. He can be treated with tablets then they will scan his brain again to check there's still one in there to see if the growth has shrunk. If not I guess they'll need to chop it out but we'll jump off that bridge when we get to it I iz therefore optimistic that we will win a baybee in the next year. So the growth has probably been causing trouble for a while so it's good to know the stress itself didn't stop us winning a baybee as had been implied at times.
Oof right nap time.
maybe don't leave me hanging?!

GenericDietCola · 07/12/2011 14:32

Oh Maybe you're driving us all bonkers! I do understand about waiting though - that way you will be totally sure of the BFP!

Solars that's poo re your appointment - I hope you can get it sorted for a bit sooner.

Farfalla sorry you are getting AF (but I hope you're wrong) and are surrounded by preggos. It will be your turn soon.

I've missed so much, but I did particularly love the EWCM=impending snow chat. Sounds believable to me.

I got my second blood test results today and the hCG has risen in line with what I had researched, so I am very happy. Now I just have to wait until mid-Jan for a 12 week scan.

GenericDietCola · 07/12/2011 14:33

Cross posts Have - sorry to hear re DH's growth. At least you have an explanation though and a course of action. I hope it can be fixed very soon and you will get your baby next year.

HaveYourselfAFaithyChristmas · 07/12/2011 14:34

Oops ignore that first paragraph.

possiblemaybebaby · 07/12/2011 14:36

Oh Have, that's rubbish. But it is so good that you finally know what on earth has been going on. When can DH start his meds? I hope it hurries up and shrinks ASAP so you still get an Olympic baby Xmas Smile

Generic that is fantastic news about the blood test Xmas Grin I am still suspecting a multipack. Or at least a BOGOF.

Grin Pop

whimsicalname · 07/12/2011 14:37

Gosh faith another bad news / good news test result.

Isn't this the time of year for getting babies without having to even dtd? I think we just need to hang out chatting to angels and we will find ourselves 'with child' (although possibly dressed in our dressing gowns sitting on a bale of hay).

HaveYourselfAFaithyChristmas · 07/12/2011 14:40

The consultant will be sending the prescription over shortly. Not too early an olympic baby, I've got tickets for the sailing!
If anything I think I feel relieved...at least we finally know what it is and what it is is treatable iykwim.
generic how exciting! How are you feeling?

BeedleTheBard · 07/12/2011 14:46

whimsical nice idea but shouldn't we have been visited by angels about 8 months ago - unless one of us is going to be one of those people that suddenly finds out that they're 9 months pregnant without having had any symptoms or weight gain whatsoever Xmas Hmm

generic good news on the blood test - is it still could be twins high?

have glad you finally know what the problem is and how to treat it

PopcornMouse · 07/12/2011 14:55

Is anyone listening to R1? Something rather amusing about Letters to the Universe if you're into that sort of thing like me Blush

Have like you say, good news and bad. I hope DH can start his medication soon and it does the trick. Apart from preventing ttc, does it/have it any other health implications for him? (sorry if that's an inappropriate question, you can ignore it if it is)

HaveYourselfAFaithyChristmas · 07/12/2011 15:23

It has caused a few issues pops because the high prolactin causes low testosterone, so all associated with that....low libido, lethargy, stress. Naturally that hasn't helped issues in the bedroom. We simply had no idea when starting ttc that this was going on. In fact, it's probably been going on for years. If we hadn't been ttc they'd never have found it. they did some basic bloods when they diagnosed his stress/depression but it wasn't something they'd routine,y test for. It was only suggested after his poor SA they suggested it was worth checking thyroid and prolactin and bingo the prolactin was abnormal. So it is a blessing we found it.
Oh did I tell you DH got promoted? Oh yes, it's all go in the Faith household. Always nice to have good news Xmas Smile

PopcornMouse · 07/12/2011 15:26

Well done to your DH for his promotion!

I know it's a been a real sh*t, but it could be a little bit of a blessing in disguise, then? As in, it only got picked up because you're ttc unsuccessfully, but it could have trundled on for years unrecognised and causing him stress and fatigue and low libido? At least now he can get it sorted out and feel much better in himself, eventually - as well as having DCs in no time at all :)

GenericDietCola · 07/12/2011 15:31

Great that you have good news as well Have - well done on DH's promotion. Hope the house gets sorted soon too and you get your lovely new replica kitchen soon!

Popcorn I'm sort of intrigued by asking the universe for things. I suppose I do it in a half-hearted way. Can't do any harm eh?

Whimsical - yesssss! Immaculate conception is just the sort of thing that would happen to a brooker!

I feel OK, thanks. Quite nauseous, everything smells funny and my boobs are sensitive. So everything you would expect really, which is great. The hCG level was slightly over the expected range for 6 weeks, so yes there's still a chance of twins or more! I seem to keep noticing things on tv etc about multiples more than usual - fate? As with everyone on the thread, I just want a healthy baby so if it turns out to be two healthy babies, then that would be wonderful.

Imps7 · 07/12/2011 15:37
HaveYourselfAFaithyChristmas · 07/12/2011 15:45

imps you are welcome to apply to be a BESH if you so wish!
Yes this is one of those weeks we will look back on in years in come. I am very proud of DH. Don't forget the day before the interview he also fell off his bike and scuffed all his face up. This time last week we'd only just got back from a&e. Definitely pops whilst the ttc has been really tough, at least we've identified the problem and at least it's reversible which of course is not the case for many people. Despite or perhaps because of all the trauma, I feel very blessed iykwim.

Imps7 · 07/12/2011 15:52

Hmmm, have if I skipped into the BESH thread with my pom poms, baking tins and floral pinny I fear I would be chased out of town Xmas Grin

Here's brooking no argument that the pituitary growth disappears pronto.

PopcornMouse · 07/12/2011 16:15

I have seen the thread, but what is a Besh? Blush
