Welcome to all!

Grab a glittery tinsel wrapped ramekin, grab some mulled wine and join our very lucky thread.

Ah, I love hippy Bean stay as you are Xmas Grin And well done you for the positive thinking. We are the Brookers, and it's what we do best

I really do hope I have smacked that rat. Though it really really seems too good to be true, so I am awaiting the arrival of AF!

HaveYourselfAFaithyChristmas · 06/12/2011 14:19

Thanks far :) I'd say I'm ok but I appear to be bursting into tears at regular intervals, maybe every two hours. That's to be expected though, yes?
Yesterday it snowed/sleeted here. Today my pant snot is ewcm. I think we may be on to something Xmas Hmm

Imps7 · 06/12/2011 14:24

I can officially report that we are not forecast snow here as I do not have EWCM pant snot.

Far - whoop! Happy to see you back and that you had an amazing and shagful time! Am BNA (can't believe we haven't started using this as an acronym for brooking no argument yet) that your spotting and cramps are not of the sinister variety.

beangrower · 06/12/2011 14:25

I want a badge! Can it involve two big front teeth and a horrible rubbery tail? Or just some whiskers perhaps. Have - time to Sledge With Intention?!

possiblemaybebaby · 06/12/2011 14:31

Now that sounds like an idea Bean Xmas Grin

I can also agree with Imps no snow here, no snail trail.

And that is definitely to be expected Have

ScrambledSmegs · 06/12/2011 14:36

Ooh bean your DS was born 3 days after my DD's due date! Except she went and hung on till March. There were 3 years between my brother and I, so I'm not getting too stressed yet

Hello far! Your hols sound lovely. Don't lose hope yet, we are Brooking No Argument that it is early pregnancy signs you're experiencing right now.

Am a bit worried at myself. I just called someone an 'ignorant gitwizard'. To their face. Oh god, is this PMT? Sad

possiblemaybebaby · 06/12/2011 14:42

Did you know this person Smegs?! Xmas Grin

ScrambledSmegs · 06/12/2011 14:43

No Xmas Blush

Imps7 · 06/12/2011 14:47

Oooh I am loving "ignorant gitwizard". I am going to have to call someone this at least 14 times a day!

ScrambledSmegs · 06/12/2011 14:52

Watch out you don't get swatted then! Thank goodness I can cycle faster than the bloke I insulted, otherwise I might have been in trouble.

possiblemaybebaby · 06/12/2011 14:57

I think it's brilliant Smegs Xmas Grin I wish I had heard it yesterday, as I could've said it to the twat guy that was eating the smelliest Burger King ever in the noisiest possible way on the train last night Xmas Angry

ScrambledSmegs · 06/12/2011 15:05

I think I got it off this very site. It's definitely not something I would think up by myself anyway!

MN is useful like that Xmas Grin

dreamfeeder · 06/12/2011 15:20

Hello everyone! generic is totally having twins with me because I want her to!!!! Grin

oooh, maybe, I'm very excited!!! Really? we have to wait til Saturday? Even I tested on CD 36.... And imps, it ain't over yet.

farfalla, I was utterly convinced I had af spotting and then got my bfp. Don't be downhearted yet!

and also...

GOD, it's two BOYS, but I wanted another girl!!!!!

dreamfeeder · 06/12/2011 15:23

and smegs, hope your DD is better soon, mine has been ill for 8 weeks and counting Sad. Sleep has gone to hell in a handbasket (the getting to sleep, she's sleeping through at the minute again, thank goodness), and we might end up cancelling her MMR for Thursday for the third time. Very unfair. She's 15 months tomorrow, I can't believe how big she's getting or how stroppy. So, 18 month age gap is clearly the best way to go. Especially to have three that age and under. A doddle. Walk in the park. Piece of cake.

dreamfeeder · 06/12/2011 15:24

Except for I also hear very lovely things about a 4 year age gap from my firned who has just that, and similar from a friend with a 3 year age gap. It's all good ladies!!!

dreamfeeder · 06/12/2011 15:24

er, friend that was....

possiblemaybebaby · 06/12/2011 15:25

Dream!!! So lovely to see you

2 boys!!!!! Eeeeeeeeeek! Identical? Oh this is so exciting. I reckon Generic is joining you too!

I shall be CD35 tomorrow, which is pretty average for me, though longer than last month. And as I say, no usual AF signs at all. Will probably just be my body playing silly buggers again though

Stasi · 06/12/2011 15:31

Afternoon everyone. Work is a bit hectic today, so not had a chance to properly catch up. I've tried to keep up with what's being said today, though, so not too far out of the loop. Have found it hard to find time to post though.

Still, I'm here now. I did the fertility questionnaire thing over lunch, I am also Stuck and Tired. Sounds quite depressing really doesn't it?

I'm very early on in the 2ww, so nothing to report from me. Got my flu jab at Boots today, and now have an aching arm. Still, I think it was worth it.

I hate to contradict what seems to be a great theory, but we've had snow and no pant snot.

Far sounds like you had a wonderful time away.

Bean there's only a year between my sister and I, and we didn't get on till I left home! Though we did share a bedroom for all of that time, which might have caused some of the tension. My younger brothers are 6, 7, 8, and 12 years younger than me. We all get on fine!

dreamfeeder · 06/12/2011 15:36

hello maybe! Possibly identical but probably not. Won't know til they're born, and if we have them tested! I have put my scan pics on my profile, as they look cute- bunk bed style with twin 2 still breech (he has been since 16 weeks already!). My DH met 3 year old twin boys yesterday, he said he absolutely couldn't tell them apart, they were very sweet, and their mum was told they were non-identical. Clearly, they were ID! He said they were born at 27 weeks, and came home saying I had to sort out when I'll go off on mat leave and take it easy at work- think for him it finally twigged they could come early! I waver between thinking they will and panicking, and then thinking I'll go on forever til induction or CS!

generic is totally having twins or triplets with her HCG like that- we're going for a mulitpack of minicolas!!!!!!!!

CD 35... probably not too early to test though wither way? Still, as I can't keep up ith both threads, and the twins thread I joined, I may, just about, with effort, be able to contain myself til Saturday, but the excitement of ninja, little and generic all coming over is just too much!! Plus that generic is having a multipack of course.

Solars · 06/12/2011 15:36

Helloooooo girlies

Welcome back Far I'm still so envious of your holiday but so pleased you had a wonderful time. I'm really hoping that the cramps & spotting are due to implantation, it just has to be pregnancy related at CD22! I have everything crossed for you.

Solars · 06/12/2011 15:44

Oh my god it took me so long to write that and now there are half a dozen new posts!

Hello Dream how lovely twin boys!

Stasi hope the arm feels better soon.

dreamfeeder · 06/12/2011 15:46

How disappointing about the appointment solars Sad

possiblemaybebaby · 06/12/2011 15:48

Oh Solars that is rubbish It's so frustrating. But panic not, you are not going to need that appointment any way

Stasi your pant snot may well be taking sometime to appear Xmas Grin

Oh Dream your photos almost made me cry!! They look so so cute! Your bump is so neat and tidy! Don't worry about them coming early, you will all be fine. This is probably a really stupid question, but are twins normally delivered through the normal route? Xmas Grin

beangrower · 06/12/2011 15:56

Maybe - day 35, YAY! If you temp, have you had 18 days high temps??

Quite frankly I am fantasising about a gap (which now will have to be at least 2.5 years) - any old gap will do. Although actually I don't want to be having DC2 at 45yo (have just heard this tale of mistaken pregnancy after IVF baby 6 years previously). Smallish gap. Please. Thank you. Very, very much. Indeedy.

I am also working up enthusiasm for the theory that 1 DC is a big blessing given the way my 30s were going until I met THE ONE . So anything more than one would be AMAZING. And only one is great too - more dosh, more spare time to squander with DP etc.
