Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

The rats are all going to be jolly well smacked, we are going to have lots of festive BFPs and possibly a mince pie (or three)

Imps7 · 06/12/2011 11:24

I've just found out that as part of this redundancy/reorganisation my firm has decided to do a room swap - I'm going to have to share a room with one of the partners who I cannot stand! Even if it is just for the duration of my notice, I think it may actually kill me.

possiblemaybebaby · 06/12/2011 11:27

Oh Imps that sucks. Can you do that thing where you are overly polite to piss them off even more? I love doing that [evil Maybe emoticon]

Imps7 · 06/12/2011 11:30

I am still going with my overtly cheerful and happy self in the face of all my miserable colleagues but it's now proving to be haaaaaard work. I think that they actually want to break me down and see me cry. Well NEVER! I tell you, NEVER!

Imps7 · 06/12/2011 11:53

But anyway, back to Maybe and her near certain pregnancy...

PopcornMouse · 06/12/2011 11:57

I have pant snot! It's CD8. I think my CM is telling liiiiiies Shock Hmm

farfallarocks · 06/12/2011 12:10

Right gals it has only taken me 2 hours to catch up, blimey! I am working hard, honest.

Firstly have I am so so sorry to hear about your fire, thank goodness you were both ok but still, awful! I hope the insurance sorts you our quickly and you are so due an ironic BFP now. Great news about your DH results, 2012 will be your year!

little that is great news especially after your very very short cycles (were they 14 days at one point?) Very very :)
generic how do you feel about twins? I must say, I would LOVE it and you could be our 2nd twin brooker!! Did you use pres seed this month as well? I think that is what dream used and she got twins!!
It sounds as though there have been some real highs and lows on the threa and sorry about all those who AF got and those feeling low, especially bean and stasi. Your time will come, promise!

Welcome to greenolive

imps boo to BFN but you really could be too early, those internet cheapies are a bit hit and miss you know!

maybe that is sounding very very positive my dear, hoorah!

Well holiday was wonderful, we swam, ate, drank, saw some amazingly beautiful sights and it was so different we totally forgot about TTC, work etc
I think our relationship really needed it to be honest, I felt like my old self again!

We managed to DTD every day (sometimes twice Blush ) with no pressure at all and it was fun and romantic and wonderful.
Being back at work is rubbish though!

Sadly I don't think we cracked it despite mamouth SWI as on CD22 today (have worked out! ) and have started with the spotting and cramps. So doubly gutted as not only am I not preggers but I seem to have gone back to short luteal phases and cycles again, argh! Back to acupuncture this cycle!

Have no broken it to DH yet but I know he will be gutted too :( :( :(

possiblemaybebaby · 06/12/2011 12:14

Far it sounds like you had an amazing amazing time Xmas Smile It's rubbish coming home to the cold isn't it.

Could the spotting be a good ting?

farfallarocks · 06/12/2011 12:15

p.s. did anyone else see that thing on pandas on the news? They have a 12 hour fertility window ONCE A YEAR.

I thought we had it bad Grin

TheLittleFriend · 06/12/2011 12:25

Once a year far! Jesus, no wonder they're facing extinction. I think evolution needs to do something about that and give them another go each year!

Sorry it was a definite BFN this morning imps. Not over yet though.

And I'm glad to hear about everyone who has pant snot arriving!!

difficulttimes · 06/12/2011 12:28

Thanks all

I've already mad it now just wait , some get on there NAO! lol

we all excited for crimbo

BeedleTheBard · 06/12/2011 12:40

ladies you've got it wrong - its going to snow where pop lives - pant snot comes first then the snow Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

possiblemaybebaby · 06/12/2011 13:56

I feel we have our own little scientific experiment going on here Xmas Grin

That's crazy far poor little things.

beangrower · 06/12/2011 13:58

Got a nice interesting fact for you all - you want pant snot that makes a circular wet shape in your undies (this is ECWM). Not an oblong (dry-sticky CM). But you all know that. Xmas Grin

Sounding like Maybe has smacked that rat good and proper. OOOH - how marvellous. All these BFPs. Have everything crossed for you Maybe.

Smegs your DD is very close in age to my DS. He was born 21/02/10 (@10.12am) - sorry, love the numbers symmetry... I keep trying to remind myself that he is not yet two and the gap won't be humungous and actually a bit of a gap is better for everyone. Hmm

I can report we have survived IKKY (though not sure if IKKY survived us). Chrimbo deccies were a big dis. Boo. I think we were too late. DS moaned "Gedown, Mummy" a lot of the time. And we have returned home with one-hundred-squids-worth-of-I'm-not-sure-what-but-we-probably- didn't-need-it. Hurrah. Still DS is full of fish, chips and peas which is a winner and now asleep. I took my elderly neighbour along too - Christmas good deed ticked.

Pop - I am reading 'Taking charge of your fertility' - there is a short section about too much CM (as an indicator of fertility issues) and linked it to the thyroid (possibly raised levels of hormones in first half of cycle) and that rang a bell for me cos I remembered that you may have had a thyroid meds as well as 'gallons of CM' (your words I do believe). I know that yoga can really help with thyroid/hormone balancing (along with acu), but I can hear you groan about the old hippy Bean again.

I will summarise diet notes for 'stuck' and 'tired'. May take me a while...

Far - sounds amazing. Am jealous. Hope acu starts to work for you - good plan.

Where's Olives got to? Too much bubbly at that wedding? Xmas Smile

beangrower · 06/12/2011 14:05

Far - btw, thanks for commiserations. Last month really got to me (as AF arrived late and 40th birthday was still malingering, making me worry about age-related infertility) - but mood improved after internal scan where decent number of egglets were on view. Just waiting for bloods and DP's SA now, but have realised that positivity is really important. Not giving 'power' to those last-chance-saloon thoughts etc. Acupuncture, diet and temping are giving me hope... Sounds like acu is the way forward for you? Mind you - I'm mid-cycle so easy to be hopeful. IYKWIM.

beangrower · 06/12/2011 14:06

Imps you show the fockers. Remember - they will have to deal with the Brookers if they don't watch it.
