Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

We are all jolly well going to smack the rat this month and grow a baby and we'll brook no argument. And probably eat some cake too.

Ladies....begin.

OP posts:
farfallarocks · 11/11/2011 17:55

smegs yes I know. It was phrase we used on the 'Just MC, ready to try again' thread and someone made a typo. Then it became the stock phrase, metalling!!!!

Yes treatment needs to start ASAP.

Timing COULD NOT BE WORST

ScrambledSmegs · 11/11/2011 18:32

Ah, I see. I am well metal, me.

PopcornMouse · 11/11/2011 18:37

Oooo I rather like Lorraine Pascal. You must be in London, Smegs?

Biscuitsandtea · 11/11/2011 18:41

Who the flippety flip is Lorraine Pascale?

PopcornMouse · 11/11/2011 19:12

She was a model biscuits but now she bakes. She had a Saturday morning show for a while and she's tipped to replace Jamie as Sainsbo's figurehead, apparently - www.lorrainepascale.com/ :)

PopcornMouse · 11/11/2011 19:13

Take a look at the photos - she's like, 45 or something Shock

Munkiii · 11/11/2011 19:24

Evening all
Sorry have been quiet of late. Well I got my BFP but I am fairly convinced I am having a miscarriage at the moment, utterly devastated of course but will be back brooking very soon.

Love to all xxx

PopcornMouse · 11/11/2011 19:29

Oh Munkiii - huge, massive bear hugs. I will brook extra, extra hard that that's not the case. Look after yourself :( :(

Munkiii · 11/11/2011 19:31

Thank you, I am not hopeful.

This is my second one and seems to be panning out the way of the first.

Nothing to be done, have sent DH out for pizza.

Hope all well with you?

NinjaChipmunk · 11/11/2011 19:37

((munkiii)) look after yourself and we will be brooking for you. Very sorry to hear your news.

Munkiii · 11/11/2011 19:39

Thanks Ninja how's your little bean doing? Must be about seven weeks or so now? So excited for you!

ScrambledSmegs · 11/11/2011 19:43

Oh no Munkiii. That's just so bloody unfair. Sad

Big (((((hugs))))) for you.

Munkiii · 11/11/2011 19:51

Bit crap eh? Thanks Scrambled it just didn't feel right in the first place iykwim hence my silence.

Anyhoo onwards and upwards?! [weak grin]

Solars · 11/11/2011 19:55

Oh Munkii I am so sorry to hear that big {{{hugs}}} you poor love, i'm still brooking all will be ok x

Munkiii · 11/11/2011 20:19

Thanks Solars

I am still brooking for all of you!

ScrambledSmegs · 11/11/2011 20:23

Definitely onwards and upwards, Munkiii. Are you going to see your GP? I completely understand if you don't want to but if you've had a miscarriage before it might help to investigate? x

Munkiii · 11/11/2011 20:25

I think I will make an appointment as I assume I will need a scan to check things. Must have been about five or six weeks I think. Not sure if anything can be done as I have had DD between mc.

I am focussing on how lucky and blessed I am to have her.

ScrambledSmegs · 11/11/2011 20:42

Hmm - from my experience I wouldn't bet on it. I went to the GP during my mc and was just told 'Oh it'll be fine' Hmm. Luckily it was as I got pg with DD 2 months later, but even so!

Your DD is very lucky to have you too, Munkiii.

beangrower · 11/11/2011 20:56

Munkiii - how totally sad I feel for you and wish MC hadn't happened again. Perhaps you should make an app so at least it's on their radar. Hope DD gives you lots and lots of hugs.

Sad
TheLittleFriend · 11/11/2011 20:58

oh shit munkii I'm so sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself & we're all here to support you xx

biscuits very pleased to hear your scan went well. did they tell you your placenta was at the front and that was why you haven't been feeling the crumb wriggling?

Biscuitsandtea · 11/11/2011 21:06

Oh munkii. I'm so sorry to hear your news Sad

I hope you have lots of support in RL. And we're here whenever you need to talk about it.

Lots of hugs going your way xxx

Little - yes it was an anterior placenta! The sonographer said that 'can be one of the reasons'. Think she was trying to say politely that it might be my pre pg tum!! But I'm sticking with the anterior placenta excuse!

CupcakesAndCocktails · 11/11/2011 21:08

Oh Munkii lots and lots of hugs for you. I am very sorry.

Have just seen Bartlet's news as well on the other thread. She sounds so strong. Am brooking so hard for both of you.

Congrats on the scan Biscuits

Sorry to post and run but am trying to get some uni work done before a few long shifts over the weekend

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 11/11/2011 23:13

Munkii I'm so sorry to hear your news. I have nothing to say that could possibly make it any better, but I'm thinking of you, no brooking, and sending lots of hugs your way!

Far fingers crossed for nice sticky BFP this month for you. When did the doc advise testing? I guess you're balancing the risk of seeing an early bfn against the chance that you might catch a positive in time to make a difference? I'm amazed you have the willpower to not start testing straight away! (I'm hopeless at self control tho, so I marvel at anyone who does have it!)

PopcornMouse · 12/11/2011 08:26

I agree with scream, you have huge willpower far! I am 2DPO and I am already googling "similar charts" in fertilityfriend :o (I am considering not temping for the rest of my cycle so I stop obsessing, but I'm not sure if I can Shock )

Munkii I'm so sorry :(
If you had the last one before DD, though, it would imply that it's not a case of serial mc iykwim, which bodes really well for the next time. Sorry I don't have anything more positive to say, it sucks big time :(

beangrower · 12/11/2011 08:37

I wasn't really around to know about Bartlett's journey and don't know which 'other' thread is being referred to, but I fear something Sad has happened. The problem with MC is that it's common but still really awful for each individual. If it's a platitude, I'm apologise, but I have one friend who says she seemed to have to have a miscarriage per each sticky bean - and now she has three kids so there it is. She didn't ever go to docs. Sorry - feel that I'm not being very helpful but trying to brook for all of us. x
