When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

We are all jolly well going to smack the rat this month and grow a baby and we'll brook no argument. And probably eat some cake too.

Ladies....begin.

bean none taken at all.
No chance of getting Dh to acu (see bloodtestgate in the previous thread and you will see why) sadly but that is ok, his swimmers are doing the job I just need my woombly bits to be better hosts!

popcorn I will look into Clinique thank you!

We are off to India, can't wait. It has been a goal for ages and we kept talking about it and never doing it. Then I did not want to book because I did not want to go updiffed. After 2nd reproductive fail we bit the bullet and went for it. Its sort of a consolation prize for not being 6 months pregnant like I should have been if the first bean had stuck!!

Who is next to POAS then, solars??

Solars · 08/11/2011 15:52

Imps thanks for your excellent link, I would have got myself lost otherwise and I love what you've done with this place!

Oh Farfalla you lucky, lucky girl I love india! I have been a couple of times but not to the south yet, which is what I really want to do next. Whereabouts are you going? Envy

Bean your dr sounds just as rubbish as Beedles can you not get to see another one in the same practice?

Yes I think it is just me to PIAR, what has happened to Munkii by the way? Pretty sure her af was overdue?? and talking of other missing persons, Maybe, Shiny where are they? I know Generic is on her work thing.

farfallarocks · 08/11/2011 15:55

yes where are you lurkers???

Off to the north, have never been before, all around rajastan. Have bought loads of books about it they are still in their amazon box by my desk so need to do some research.

I also want to go to the South as well eventually, we only had 2 weeks though so decided to have a more relaxed pace and not try and cram everything in.

Solars · 08/11/2011 16:06

I'm so Envy Farfalla, we did Jaipur & Udaipur in Rajastan. You're going to have a great time, and you'll be back all updiffed how lovely!

PopcornMouse · 08/11/2011 16:09

Didn't Munkii go on holiday for the week? I've lost track tbh...... Blush

DH travelled around Rajastan for a year or so in his teens, it was a long time ago though. He loved it. I've only been to Goa which I'd describe as the Disney Land of India - i.e. a bit superficial, and not particularly representative of India at all - and didn't like it, sadly.

I have just checked FF and, apparently, if I don't get upduffed this cycle (as if!) AF will be due on Xmas Eve. Nice.

CupcakesAndCocktails · 08/11/2011 16:19

Hi Far am very Envy of your trip. I think both you and DH deserve a nice break. Am impressed that your DH has been cutting back with the fags. I'm currently trying to convince my DH to cut back on his drinking.

Popcorn AF will NOT be coming to visit you on Xmas eve. Instead you WILL be getting your BFP. You did sign that letter to Santa didn't you?!

Crap have forgotten what everyone else said again! Can you have babybrain on cd8 before ovulation even happens? If so I'm totally updiffed Wink

Imps7 · 08/11/2011 17:02

Oooh Farfalla your holiday sounds amaaaaazing and just what you and OH need. Great idea to just book it and go - I know what you mean about putting your life on hold and not arranging stuff because you might get pregnant in the interim. Up until fairly recently I've always been thinking of future events/things that we're doing and how many months pregnant I may be by then but I refuse to do that now - too many events at which I felt sure I'd be diffed have been and gone and no whisper whatsoever of a pregnancy so far!

I've just been asked to attend an interview for another job in the next couple of weeks. I am still very much hoping that the job with my previous boss will work out (am meeting his boss and head of the corporate team for an informal interview on 24 Nov) but if it doesn't I need to find something else. There is No. Way. that I can stay in this job, even if I'm not selected for redundancy. Have spent the entire day being totally ignored! Ignored, I should add, by employment partners who are paid a great deal of money by their clients to advise them on the best way to handle employees Hmm.

Off to the theatre tonight with OH! Haven't been to the theatre in ages - we were given gift vouchers last Christmas which we've only just got around to using. Never heard of the play we're going to see but I'm sure it will be a nice night anyway.

Ooo, new thread!

Thanks Scrambled and Imps - I give full credit to the brookers :) I know - still spend some of the time completely bemused that I'm actually finally preggo (until I catch sight of myself in a mirror!).

Popcorn, yes, sucking its thumb! Soooo amazingly meltingly cute. Until I laughed and it got all shaken up - poor thing - must be like a white water ride in there!

farfalla, hope you have an amazing time in India! Very jealous. I went there when in 6th form - to Calcutta and Varansi - it was absolutely amazing.

Imps, you definitely need to get out of there, whether they make you redundant or not! Enjoy your night at the theatre :) I never dress up to go (we used to go loads, not so much now we're so so busy, and everything's more expensive!), but some people do! :) It's mainly because I'm lazy/normally coming straight from work/have spent a day in London beforehand, shopping!

PopcornMouse · 08/11/2011 17:19

I tend to do smart-casual at the theatre, often jeans with a smartish top. I love the RSC in Stratford (though it's a bit fo a schlep) - and there it's mostly silver surfers smartly turned out in velvet jackets and pashminas. So I think anything goes nowadays :)

Hi all, just seen the lovely new thread so popped in to say hello. Hope you're all doing well, not had time to read through yet but I will.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 08/11/2011 20:27

Yay! Shiny new thread!

I'm feeling a bit too coldy/fluey/exhausted/sorry-for-myself to contribute anything positive to the thread right now, so I'll keep my mouth shut! Seriously hoping to get some sleep tonight which I'm convinced will automatically solve the cold problem. So I'll be back tom!

NinjaChipmunk · 08/11/2011 21:23

evening rat smackers!
imps have a lovely time at the theatre. I think the ballgown ,gloves and pearls would have been perfect.
cor blimey, I can't stop yawning, early night for me I think!

Imps7 · 09/11/2011 09:00

Morning rat smackers! Hope all's well in da rat smackin' hood.

Well the theatre last night was...interesting. The play was about a pregnant woman who went mad and then committed suicide and/or a father who hated his children and/or the environment. Either way, every now and then the characters would burst into a current chart hit (such as Coldplay and Marina and the Diamonds), whose lyrics had some sort of a loose connection to that particular part of the plot.

On the negative side: it was a bit weird. On the positive side: it didn't seem like it lasted 3 hours so we must have enjoyed it. Was really nice to go out on a date with OH to.

So, exciting plans for today anyone? Any PIAR action?

OP posts:
Imps7 · 09/11/2011 09:00

too, not to.

farfallarocks · 09/11/2011 09:07

OMG imps it sounds hilarious!

I love the DH dates as well, good to have proper chats and fun so they don;t just feel like sperm donors :)

Have not been to the theatre for ages, you have inspired me to check what's on.

I think we are missing loads of imminent POAStickers including muunki?

Hello scream and scarlett good to see you on here. I lurk about on the ante natal thread a bit and its great to see everyone's pregnancies progressing nicely.
We shall of course all be joining you very imminently.

PopcornMouse · 09/11/2011 09:16

OMG Imps. For some reason it makes me think of the GAY episode of IT Crowd :o

I've just done my Gillian Michaels dvd for the first time, and FUCK ME. 20 minutes on easy, and I could have happily keeled over after 10. And she must be psychic because every time I stopped she knew and she shouted at me Shock

beangrower · 09/11/2011 09:19

Morning all

Surely the theatre inspired a bit of smugness re' not being unhappily preggers/with OH who hates children, Imps? I hope you rattled your pearls and rustled your chiffon loudly during the singing. Crazy stuff.

Where's Popcorn my cycle buddy? Need some geeing up as have stinking cold and should be DTD. DP moaning about illness but still rocked in after midnight, rustling household feathers. I'm quite furious as I don't believe he's looking after himself and I'm spending gallons of dosh on sperm-jollying herbs and this is beginning to feel counterproductive. The chance of a decent shag tonight I would say are fairly minimal. What say you - Popcorn Imps and Far. Get thee to the theatre perhaps?

I have made you all some wonky-shaped but moorish cocoa melting moments (a biscuit that I baked a lot as a small, precocious child). Enjoy.

beangrower · 09/11/2011 09:21

Btw - any reassurance that DTD on cd11 when smiley face was early morning of cd12 gives me an outsiders chance of BFP - would be very welcome. What about these tales of BFPs after sex during AF, eh?

farfallarocks · 09/11/2011 09:26

bean I would say you got the timing damn near perfect, they do say the shaggage BEFORE ovulation is the stuff that counts so I think DTD the night before the surge is damn perfect.

The DH's, don;t ask me, I am the LAST person who can tell you how to seduce your DH. All the advice seems to be don;t pressure him, stress him out etc etc

I canlt help thinking if it were the women who had to produce the spunk on demand we would just damn well Get On With It and not pussy foot about feeling pressured. But that is because girls ROCK.

beangrower · 09/11/2011 09:32

Yes Far you are so RIGHT - girls do rock the world. What is it with these sperm-caddies dragging their heels? But they seem to go one way or the other. Maybe more melting moments (before and after 10am) for your DH. Also - book yourself a girlie holiday about 7 days before ov - so make yourself scarce, then he'll miss you like buggery and wanna DTD non-stop on days 4, 3, 2, 1...

x

PopcornMouse · 09/11/2011 09:36

:o @ far & bean

bean I agree with far, that's pretty perfect as far as timing goes.

DH said he was going to bed at 8.30 last night. So I take it as a cue to join him for some SWI, brush my teeth, follow him upstairs, and no - he really was tired, and is fast asleep (and snoring) by 8.35. Hmm

My temps are following last month's cycle pattern but a day behind, so I think I may ov a day late Confused which means I must fit in a shag this evening or all my SWI will have been for nothing Shock (well, maybe sheer pleasure, but you know what I mean.... Blush )

beangrower · 09/11/2011 09:41

8.35 - that's not in the rules, snoring a deffo insult. Time to get out your best boudoir outfit this evening Pop. And get some easy food in so that eating doesn't get in the way of SWI. When do you think that egg will pop?

beangrower · 09/11/2011 09:43

Thanks for reassurance, guys btw. Still feel like I need to fit in that little extra spermage: belt and braces kind of approach - if you get me....

Imps7 · 09/11/2011 09:46

Farfalla I shall fight you for the title of Least Able to Seduce OH. I am quite sure that I am worse at it than any of the other ladies on this thread, both past, present and future. There was a time when I considered myself Quite a Catch. No more it seems! Wink

And yes, why on earth has something as important as producing sperm on demand been left to the men? What a major design flaw.

Bean, I think your timing is spot on. Swimmers can live up to 5 days, so you are most definitely already pregnant. Well done you.
