Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Lots of love, Pip xx

Evening Secret... I'll be whiling away the evening hiding in a corner of the restaurant, surfing the internet for romantic holiday cottages for our honeymoon in Scotland. When DP finishes work we'll jump in the bath for a Saturday evening treat.... tmi! Grin

I'm trying to decide whether to have a glass of wine. November was meant to be a dry month, and I was doing well (but finding it hard) until last night when there was a big party in the restaurant. I was accused of being "boring" and given a glass of red.... either I'm too easily led or I'm hanging round with "enablers"! Smile

What is everyone else up to? x

Fishpond · 12/11/2011 18:24

Secret perhaps he is disappointed too that you haven't had a positive yet and he's taking out his frustration? I'd be taking my pee sticks to work Grin

Just got off work, had a pretty good day actually, a rarity! Now off to hospital to visit gma, hopefully they will have made a decision by this weekend about what to do regarding surgery. Getting tough going up there every day. Going a little earlier today though so will treat myself to a lovely (non-scalding) bath and then get an early night, up again for work tomorrow early.

Cup the evening treat sounds nice Grin

What's everyone else up to?

kirrinIsland · 12/11/2011 19:10

OMG - I just had a complete lapse of willpower and poas - a first response, no less - and I swear there's a line. It's very faint though so I might be imagining things. I'm going to do another one in the morning with FMU and try not to get too carried away in the meantime.

cup the odd glass of wine won't hurt :) I spent my afternoon in DPs restaurant, watching him work while I drank coffee and entertained DD :)

fish hope your gma is feeling ok, glad you've had a good day.

DP is at work again tonight so I might settle down with a Harry Potter DVD and a non-alcoholic beer - man, do I know how to have fun Grin

CupOfBrownJoy · 12/11/2011 19:23

oooooh kirrin how exciting!!! Could we have yet another graduate amongst us? Grin

Let us know how you go tomorrow!! Fingers are crossed for you....

What kind of restaurant does your DP have? Does he cook?

Fishpond · 12/11/2011 19:27

Kirrin!!!!!! Hurrah!!!!

And please invite me over for the HP DVD fun!

Fishpond · 12/11/2011 19:27

Kirrin post a pic of the test on FB Grin

OMG fab news Kirrin woo hoo. Got everything crossed!

Fish hope Gma is getting on ok in hospital, it's tough when she's just waiting to find out what they're going to do.

Well DP has just cooked a fab curry, so I'm stuffed, settled on the sofa with my furry kids with X Factor while DP has sneaked off to play COD!!

Sparkle onwards & upwards but hoping she's not made a proper appearance and it's you know what Wink

Anyone suffered with acid indigestion? I've had it several times this week and twice today :(

Fishpond · 12/11/2011 20:23

Minky yes!! I've had it several times the past 2 weeks and only ever had it twice in life before then. Having some now in fact.

kirrinIsland · 12/11/2011 20:45

I'd love to put a photo on facebook but I have a brick of a phone so I'll have to dig the camera out - can't do it tonight though cos it's in the bedroom where DD is asleep. Will see what happens tomorrow....

fish you are welcome anytime for HP DVDs - I've gone for order of the Phoenix.

cup DP has an Arabic restaurant. He mostly just oversees it now, but he used to cook, and now does all the cooking at home :)

minky I get acid indigestion occasionally - it's horrid :(

secret still got my fingers crossed for you

MinkyMoodles · 12/11/2011 20:54

Hmmm, I never usually get it (acid), so was hoping wondering if it was an early pregnancy symptom!!

kirrinIsland · 12/11/2011 21:02

minky that is when I got it most - perhaps a good sign:)

Hattifattener28 · 12/11/2011 22:35

Kirrin how exciting, have my fingers crossed for you.

Fish I know from my sister and friends that they found the first 12 weeks tiring, the second trimester is when the great skin and extra shiney hair kicks in, not too long to go.

I've spent the evening with Strictly and XFactor drinking red wine and eating dark chocolate. From tomorrow I'm going to give up alcohol and caffine so I'm going out with a bang tonight.

I'm a total tea addict but determined to go caffine free, is decaf ok or do I need give up tea completely? Not sure I can do that. Is there a limit to the amount of decaf I can drink or are my usual 8-cups ok?

Fishpond · 12/11/2011 22:41

Wow you drink 8 cups of tea a day? I'm impressed! I can't drink 8 cups of anything a day Grin

I've never been a huge drinker (I mean liquids in general, not the alcoholic kind!) but I know it's important so I'm struggling with that right now.

Definitely have some weird hormones going on, have just cried while watching Supernanny Grin

kirrinIsland · 13/11/2011 08:38

Well, I did another first response this morning and it looks the same - faint line. But I did another one I've got - just a cheapy that came free with my opks and that was negative Confused I guess I had better leave it for a couple of days and then try a clear blue one with actual words.
I'm just off out but I'll try and put a piccie on facebook later.

Hattie I'm a total coffee addict and switched to decaf when I was pregnant - it's fine :) And you may find you go off it anyway, a lot of people can't stand it once morning sickness kicks in.

CupOfBrownJoy · 13/11/2011 12:05

Congratulations Kirrin, it sounds like a positive to me!!! Grin

Fishpond · 13/11/2011 13:49

I agree. Any line is a line Smile

Vinolover · 13/11/2011 15:01

Kirrin I would say that's a positive. Believe me, if it was a negative then you really wouldn't be able to see anything! Looks like congratulations are in order! :)

Minky, indegestion is a very good sign! I had it with DD and many other women suffer becuase of pregnancy also.

I think my AF is just about finished now so it's onwards as of today :) I keep seeing pregnant women everywhere and newborn babies and I can't help feeling envious which I know sounds ridiculous, especially as I already have
two DC. I just hope it isn't going to take too long!

kirrinIsland · 13/11/2011 16:51

Well, I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet! I'll get a clear blue tomorrow and see if I can get it in writing :)

secret fingers crossed for you - it does sound promising, and remember, DH doesn't need to know you've been testing Grin

Fingers crossed for you too minky - agree that indigestion is a good sign :)

kirrinIsland · 13/11/2011 18:16

OK - picture now on facebook, let me know what you think.....

YorkshireTeaAddict · 13/11/2011 20:41

Hi chums Smile I feel poo today Sad Tired, sick and generally weird. Far to early for SS...bleugh. Are you all well? X

kirrinIsland · 13/11/2011 20:53

Sorry you don't feel good Yorkshire hope tomorrow is better.

I should be watching the rest of Harry Potter but DD has a cold and is asleep on me in the living room so I'm just Mning and reading Jilly Cooper :)
