GTR hehe I was thinking exactly the same thing about a CB monitor, sod's law and all that.

How is everyone today? Any symptoms to report GTR? And anyone else? Nothing from me [hangry]

GTR2882 · 14/10/2011 10:15

well I had a couple of large glasses of wine last night so some symptoms might be related to that!! I am sure though that i saw a hint of EWCM so maybe i have not ov'd yet hence why cycle is now on CD63, although there was only a tiny amount. Apart from that i am just feeling really hungry, a little sleepy and the cramps have come back!!

Are you in the 2ww now loulou?

oggy24 · 14/10/2011 10:20

Morning all! I had another high reading on my CBFM today. Managed to SWI yesterday even though DH had done his back in, poor thing. Dosed him up, bit of deep heat - rock and roll!

I bought my CBFM on ebay for £30odd. I knew it was a risk but the seller seemed pretty genuine. Thankfully, it is working a dream. Well worth the pennies. The only thing was that they left me good feedback which showed that I had bought it (I didn't want friends / family stumbling across my feedback)! I got onto ebay and they removed it straight away while on their Chat Help feature.

I so desperately want a BFP this month to give some lovely xmas pressies!!!

louloubellamozzarella · 14/10/2011 10:24

Good question! Yes I think so...

My cycle's been really hard to pinpoint this month. Think I must have ovd anytime between mid-end of last week/weekend going by CM. Ov sticks showed nothing though - boo. Going to have to start tracking CP next month I think. Given the number of times we SWI around ov time (just a few) I'm not hopeful at all for this month esp as no symptoms, so I'm really just waiting for the [henvy] to turn up next week.

I'm due around the 19th I think - that's actually not far away!

Keep your chin up love, hopefully that line will appear when if you test on Monday :)

GTR2882 · 14/10/2011 10:38

I am loving the witch (not literally you understand, just loulou's picture). Ooh so that makes you about 10dpo - exciting!!! Implantation time - fx'd [hsmile]

louloubellamozzarella · 14/10/2011 10:52

Yes v apt - hope they don't disappear after halloween! {hsad}

Thinking maybe the red [hangry] one might be more appropriate for AF though.

Hm I guess it is that time! I haven't really been thinking about is as haven't been feeling anything in terms of symptoms. Did have a tight abdomen for a couple of days but I think that was a hard yoga class! Will probably test on Monday Sunday just to be a bit neurotic :)

louloubellamozzarella · 14/10/2011 10:52

[hsad] - silly brackets

needinstructions · 14/10/2011 10:56

Thanks guys. Not that I've ever known how long my LP is, so it doesn't really make a difference but I feel better to be armed with all info. DH and I are at it like rabbits anyway, once or twice a day at the moment, so can't see us missing my fertile window.

Funny thing is, I don't know if all this SWI is actually WI iyswim. We aren't discussing the TTC thing at all and are both pretending we're cool with the whole thing - "it'll happen when it happens, if it happens" approach. WhatEVER! Certainly not the case with me, as you can tell from all my posts, and now I'm wondering if he's keener on the idea than he's letting on too!

louloubellamozzarella · 14/10/2011 11:06

Wow instructions you're putting me to shame with 1/2 times a day!! Grin

Hmm well if your DH is participating in the S (that much!!) knowing it's unprotected, i'd bet he know's it's WI too. I know what you mean though, there's been times when I've been rattling on here for days without really speaking to DP about TTC and learning loads of new stuff then coming out with stuff to him and he looks at me very strangely as I've forgotten to inform him of the important details!

I guess the important thing is communication (Jerry Springer moment). Sounds cliche but I have to force myself to bring stuff up or I'll just keep this TTC worrying to myself - oh and you lucky people! DP obviously isn't the one checking his CM, CP, symptoms etc every day so he's not thinking about it in the same way I know that much (not sure exactly what he's thinking but we'll get there eventually!) I think it's a lot to do with the fact that you're the one who feels the physical symptoms of oving and potential pregnancy so you're obvs going to have it on your mind a lot all the bloody time! That doesn't mean he's not too though. HTH!

louloubellamozzarella · 14/10/2011 11:07

Ew sorry for the misplaced apostrophe knows not know's

cherrypiew3 · 14/10/2011 11:17

morning Ladies.

GTR you are doing well on holding out till next week to test.

Right this might sound a bit stupid but what do you mean by how long someones LP is.

Well think AF has arrived and i feel really really down. DH is working all weekend which has made me feel even worse.[hsad] On the upside i have 2 bottles of wine a big bar of chocolate and 3 dc to keep me company.

louloubellamozzarella · 14/10/2011 11:29

LP = luteal phase. It's the time between when you ovulate to when your period begins. So basically if you have a shorter one it might be harder to conceive as the egg doesn't have much time to implant.wiki in case you're interested with lurvely aforementioned chart

Don't feel down cherry, this means you can think about next month's plan of attack! Enjoy your wine and choc, yummy [hgrin] Glass of wine for me tonight feck the abstinence

cherrypiew3 · 14/10/2011 11:45

Thanks Loulou this ttc is hard work its funny really but i can not remember thinking about it this much when i was ttc the other dc.

needinstructions · 14/10/2011 15:05

Much though I love it here, I do think MN is a bit dangerous for turning us obsessive. On the other hand, so much of TTC is just waiting and it feels like you're actively doing something to bring it along if you're learning stuff and hearing about other people's experiences.

It's like dieting, I just can't be doing with just not eating as much. It's boring and too hard! Reading an article about losing weight should be sufficient to have the pounds dropping off imo Grin

festiemum · 14/10/2011 16:19

Well, that's it! I am officially well and truly fed up!

Temp hasn't done anything today, despite the fact I'm CD21 and should have oved 3-4 days ago. Batter pretty much dried up and cp still low and firmer than ever, so all signs point to ov having happened.

We can't have our security SWI either (just in case) cos DH has come back from the Docs without any more LBPs! His consultant still hasn't written the referral letter to his GP that will allow her to prescribe it on the NHS. It's been three weeks ffs!!

It's also just annoyingly enforced celibacy, if we want to SWOI we can't either, and it seems very unfair - being at the mercy of some doctor! We had a healthy sex life till they put him on all these horrible pills and broke his willy! (I know, I know, the pills are necessary, but still....)

Aaaaaarrrgghh! [hangry]

needinstructions · 14/10/2011 16:36

that is shit, no wonder you are fed up festiemum. So sorry you are going through it, both with DH's medical issues and not knowing with your cycle. Sometimes it all seems so complicated that it's a wonder anyone gets pregnant - hold onto the fact that people do, in all sorts of unlikely scenarios.

Bastard consultant though. Makes you wonder if they think about the effect it has on people's lives when they don't get round to stuff like referrals. Grrr. (actually, I do know that most consultants are very dedicated and work extremely hard for their patients so it may not be his fault - but it is still shit when you are on the receiving end!)

GTR2882 · 14/10/2011 16:36

Oh no festie stupid bloody Dr's!!! ARGH [hangry] it's ok for them sitting in their ivory towers looking down there noses at us little people!! But they have no idea what it is like - these are people's lives they are controlling and it's not on!! I might write a strongly worded letter!! It's ridiculous - they know your situation and these stupid consultants sit there as if there is all the time in the world, WELL THERE GOD DAMN ISN'T!!!!!!!

Sorry, just feel so frustrated for you!!! [hgrin]

GTR2882 · 14/10/2011 16:37

[hgrin] couldn't help giggling at the broken willy comment though, sorry [hblush]

oggy24 · 14/10/2011 16:42

Oh festie that would make me so angry! [hangry]. We definitely need some SWOI (though there seems very little of that in my world, despite the good intentions!) thrown in there for good measure.

Broken willies are not my preferred kind, I will admit. Poor DH [hsad]

nearlymumofone · 14/10/2011 17:44

festie sorry to hear about your crappy GP, they are so inconsistent. Some of them great (our previous GP was- unfortunately we've now moved to a different area), but lots aren't. It's so frustrating.

needinstrucions I agree MN makes me more obsessive. I'm obsessively reading it and instantly believe I have all possible problems that will make it difficult ttc.

Anyways. Bit the bullet and bought CBFM on amazon with sticks. AF chould be here about 29th and I believe I can start using it then. If it turns out I'm not ov'ing, or ov'ing late I can do something about it. If I don't have problem I can try to chill out. (I say this but I will have found something else to worry about by then).

GTR2882 · 14/10/2011 21:04

Bit to update here - firstly my Pee sticks arrived aargh how will I not POAS???!!??? Secondly my new BBT thermometer arrived! Thirdly I have just realised that for the last 2 months I have been using my thermometer wrong (the instructions were rubbish) so now I know I can properly chart but the downside is that I have no idea really what has been going on and my idea of when I have potentially been ov'ing is completely wrong!! So TTC starts from whenever AF shows up!! Sorry ladies, looks like all the excitement of the last week was very very premature!! Still, doesn't excuse a 63 day cycle [hgrin]

nearlymumofone · 14/10/2011 21:13

GTR By POAS you mean pg test stick right? Or ov test? I'm getting confused. I thought I was getting used to all the lingo but actually I don't know what a lot of it means still!!! If pg test, why are you still waiting?

GTR2882 · 14/10/2011 21:39

nearly yes I mean a pg test POAS = pee on a stick and POAOS = pee on an ov stick! Have not done so because a) doc said to wait til next week and b) as i mentioned I've been charting BBT wrong so the likelihood of timing SWI with any potential ov is probably not very accurate so dont think I can be pg! Will test Tuesday if no AF and then book in for my blood tests and if all ok with that will get on with TTC :)

MushroomMagee · 14/10/2011 21:50

Sorry I've been awol for a bit, all the SWI got the better of me :o

Can I just wade in here with a CM question for you GTR?
Normally, I have a nice predictable cycle and know exactly when I'm ovulating just from CM signs. This month, I seem to have gone completely mad. I think I have ovulated about 6 times! :o

According to my calculations, ov was due between the 8th and the 13th, but I started getting signs around the 2nd, then the 6thish, then again on the 8th for a couple of days, then nothing, and again NOW! I mean for crying out loud what is going on?!?!

And DH is away until the 19th so if that is me ovulating now then we have missed it this month .

But last month my ov was a couple of days later than my estimate so I'm a bit freaked out.

Anyone know whats going on better than I do?

nearlymumofone · 14/10/2011 21:50

Ah right. I get you now! Well I'll keep fx that your SWI happened to coincide with ov time. And hope you get good news when you do poas Smile.
