Evening all! Golden - sorry to hear you're not feeling great - hope it clears up soon. I had my first full day back today and I'm shattered!

I've not told anyone in real life yet. I was considering telling my oldest closest friend - but after hearing your tales I'm not sure! I think if I feel the need to crack I'll tell her - but nobody else. I was quite desperate to share it initially, but now we've been ttc for a while, and I've got the fellow rat-smackers to share all my crazy symptom spotting with!

Mid SWI marathon at the moment. Still having some odd symptoms - including feeling 'heavy' and stomach feeling quite bloated. Now even more confused as to where I am, because if I class AF as 'spotting', FF can't decide whether I'm about 12DPO or 5DPO (temp rose by another couple of degrees a few days ago). Or CD6, if it was AF. Hurrah for crazy cycles! Working on being at CD6 and SWI-ing, just so I don't go completely mad - but that doesn't stop my mind wandering.

The symptoms could easily be my body getting back to normal after years of the pill (although I have been off of it a couple of months) - so not getting too hopeful. That said I did have a very graphic dream about being pregnant with twins (!) last night...

Thankfully, I'm very busy at the moment, which is helping to keep my mind off of mad SS!

Biscuitsandtea · 07/09/2011 19:15

Oh, and just to put my two penneth in about telling friends, we told hardly anyone at all. We certainly never told our parents or rellies. i told a few friends and the longer it went on the more people I cracked and told. I guess most people would guess that we were trying because DS was getting to be 2+ so people just assume.

But eventually I had told a few close friends and most of my friends that I met when we had DS but they were all really supportive. A few people knew from the start because we had talked about age gaps etc and when we might start trying again, then some of those people who started at the same time / after us got pg, then had the babies etc so it was quite apparent things weren't going to plan in the Biscuit tin!

Wants3 · 07/09/2011 19:42

notebook I am also feeling rough tonight, I have temp and slight sore throat. I also keep getting waves of nausea. Early to bed tonight me thinks( first day back at uni tomorrow too!)

duke748 · 07/09/2011 19:49

Hi all!

I thought I'd pop in and say hello. I'm on CD12 which is apparantly 1 DPO and the marathon SWI is coming to an end (though may do another couple of nights for luck/fun!). I usually OV day 18, so it took us a bit by surprise this month!

Good luck to all!

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 07/09/2011 21:05

Miss Cystitis, she is just packing, I have called her a taxi, she is outta here and I am brooking no argument Grin I have things to do and a schedule to keep to Wink

We've not told anyone in RL that we're ttc, apart from a very trusted friend of mine who's kind of been on the same journey & now has a 3 month-old. We didn't tell anyone even when I had my miscarriage (apart from my friend, who had also had a mc at the same stage as me & was wonderfully supportive). I love my in-laws, but they don't have any grandchildren yet & would go a bit loopy if they knew, bless them Grin. My sister is about to drop her second so my parents are accommodated in that department!

I have started testing with the op sticks tonight, I don't think I'm ov-ing until next Wednesday but this is my first 'proper' cycle following the mc so I want to stay fully informed...

CakePigeon · 08/09/2011 04:04

Sorry to hear lots of you are feeling poorly Sad hope it is just a pregnancy symptom!

Glad the cystitis has packed up late

farfallarocks · 08/09/2011 09:30

Morning rat smackers - on the telling front.

When I get my positive pee stick in 10 days I am NOT telling a soul, not even my parents. We told a few friends last time and it was awful having to untell them when I had a MC a few days later.
I was just so excited about it and now I feel like a positive pee stick is just the beginning not the end.

But, (brushes self off) that is NOT happening this time as I am BROOKING NO ARGUMENT

Welcome to duke and well done on all the rat smacking
biscuits so good to see you on here, glad to see things are progressing, can't believe you are 11 weeks already!

music that sounds very promising indeed

imps when is your SWI holiday coming up?

DH wanted to do DTD last night and I sort of had to even though I was not in the mood and I am on CD20, did not want him to think I just wanted him for his sperm!

Sn0wGoose · 08/09/2011 09:37

Golden I'm anticipating being quite nervy myself. The first ever pg I experienced as an outsider was my sister who miscarried (she was 26, I was only 10 though), it was awful, she was crushed (though now has 3DC) - I think it's scarred me for life tbh Blush

I think I have thrush too much information, sorry . I know a few people with it atm, must be the weather??

On the bright side we're at the end of our SWI - just - as I think I'm now post ov, though it'll take another day or two to tell for sure: www.fertilityfriend.com/home/ChartyWarty

Sn0wGoose · 08/09/2011 09:39

late so glad the cystitis has packed it's bags!! Not nice! :)

Sn0wGoose · 08/09/2011 09:42

:o @farfallarocks's husband

musicalmrs · 08/09/2011 10:01

Farfalla - Thank you - may POAS this weekend (when I originally planned to) if still feeling 'odd'. I love you DTD with DH because he wanted to - I had that last month with my DH - he thinks it's just that my sex drive has increased that I want to DTD so much, not just because of ttc! Have to keep them happy so they oblige when we do want to SWI :D

When we eventually get a positive stick, we won't be telling anyone until the 12wk scan I think - unless it slips out! I've read too many sad tales to get too excited and start telling people until then.

Sn0w - congratulations at being at the end of the SWI madness - 2ww time? Good luck, and happy symptom spotting!

Late - Glad Miss Cystitis has moved out, in perfect timing for your SWI schedule! ;)

Absolutely shattered today. Is it the weekend yet? Will have to sustain myself through tea (non caffeinated - argh!) and cake!

dreamfeeder · 08/09/2011 11:10

What have I missed?? I can't catch up, not enough time to read it all. I left on page 3, you're up to 13!!!!

I got that maybe might be getting a Eurasian, that Bounty are rubbish (hear hear), have I missed any BFP's??

I am feeling ok today, worried as not been sick for 2 days. blah blah blah. We had a good holiday apart from my general sickness.... and one day's immense sickness when I puked every 20 minutes for 10 hours. 10 HOURS!!! starting at 3AM. Which was just wrong. However, it meant I was so ill DH and DD went out for nearly 5 hours without me for the first time ever and both returned chirpy so a positive even in that too.

Hello duke, all us ttc while bf lot are making our way over here, clearly the answer Grin

jaggythistle · 08/09/2011 11:15

hi dream hi dream!

been wondering when you'd be back on. :)

sorry to hear about all the sick!

Biscuitsandtea · 08/09/2011 11:26

Yay! Welcome back Dream - we've MISSED you :)

Glad your holiday was not totally full of being sick, but sorry that some bits were, if that makes sense.

Isn't it frustrating that the symptoms are horrible when they are there and make you panic when they're not!

How many weeks are you now? 8 ish? Are you still thinking of having an early scan? Did you convince DH on that yet?

Biscuitsandtea · 08/09/2011 11:29

And I meant to say Morning to all the other preggos (pee stick endorsed and otherwise) too

Congratulations to those of you approaching the end of your SWI marathons! Grin at farfalla's DH - we mustn't let them think they are just sperm donors (although I'm pretty sure DH had caught on to the idea by the end - ooops)

Looking forward to lots of BFP confirmations over the next few weeks

Sn0wGoose · 08/09/2011 12:16

Omg got a + OPK! First time ever. I did two just incase it was faulty :o

Dream that sucks being sick on holiday. Glad it didnt last too long and at least DH & DD weren't miserable and bored all day :)

Biscuitsandtea · 08/09/2011 12:17

Yay Sn0w for your positive OPK - get rat smacking!!! Wink Wink Wink

Sn0wGoose · 08/09/2011 12:29

Ok, icky question.... can I pass thrush to DH? It's bacterial, right? Blush

Solars · 08/09/2011 12:51

Afternoon everyone,

Welcome back Dream, sickness on holiday doesn't sound like much fun but it sounds like some of the holiday was good despite that :) (Was secretly hoping you'd have brought us back some shortbread biscuits)

Sorry you're not feeling too good Golden I think it's the turn in the weather!

Oh Sn0w so sorry to hear about thrush, yes I think you can pass thrush to DH you both may need to treated otherwise you're just going to be passing it between you!

Musical sounds like it may be a good idea to test!

Wish I had lots to report, was thinking that af will arrive today! I have no symptoms whatsoever either way, well apart from feeling a little emotional!

I went to a financial talk yesterday and the speaker was talking about inheritance tax and said 'when aunt flo leaves you her £100,000 flat.....' I sniggered, luckily only the couple of people next to me heard I hope Blush

thelittlefriend · 08/09/2011 12:55

ha ha solars, if aunt flo was giving away £100,000, I wouldn't be so gutted to see her!

Imps7 · 08/09/2011 12:58

Oooooh hello Dream!! Are you back already? Seems like only yesterday you were off on your holibobs! Glad you had a nice time - how lovely of the morning sickness to subside a bit as soon as you're back!

Sn0w, I have no idea about thrush to be honest! Hope not, otherwise that will really test his dedication to the cause!

My pregnancy is progressing nicely this month although I'm still only on CD 7 and therefore there's STILL 10-12 days until the egg pops. How dull. How's the rest of the Day 7 posse doing??

MeconiumHappens · 08/09/2011 12:58

yes, you can pass i between you. hat i would do is start both of you on treatment and just smack that rat really hard for the next couple of days as the positive test means egg pooping in next 48, smack it today, smack it tomorrow, smack it the day after for good meeasure, then clear your thrush up.

Grin
MeconiumHappens · 08/09/2011 12:59

Jees my typing just gets worse!

Imps7 · 08/09/2011 13:07

Good advice Meconium (and some great typos!!) - never forget the fundamental principle of conceiving = SEE A RAT: SMACK IT.

GenericDietCola · 08/09/2011 13:52

Hello Dream welcome back! Glad you had a good holiday despite the sickyness.

Farfalla love it about the DTD! I have similar with my DH - don't want him to guess the difference between SWI and SFF otherwise he'd feel all used and put out!

Glad cystitis has buggered off Late - how rude of her to turn up just before your SWI time. Hope she stays gone and you don't now get thrush from the antibiotics

Biscuits always nice to see you dear.

Sn0w get smacking! Must be nice to get a positive even if only an opk!

Solars love that quote from your meeting! Auntie Flo!

And totally agree with Little re her being more welcome if she was bearing £100,000!

Good advice Meconium how are you doing?

Imps I may catch you up! I'm on cd4 but AF already on her way out (taking her riches with her, no doubt). Seeing as my cycles are now quite short (23-27 days) we may be cycle buddies after all! I think I ov around day 12, so in 8 days or so - woo hoo!
