Hi,just got back from first day back at work after the summer hols and feels slightly like I have been run over by a steam roller! I am NOT symptom spotting so I am ignoring the strong smells that no one else notices, the slightly bloated stomach, the sore boobs and the icky feeling that I've had all day.
notebook thanks for tech advice the other day. How was your first day back?

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 05/09/2011 19:13

well remembered Imps, I did one month fadgily but got readings that were all over shop. Went back to taking it orally (after fully disinfecting the thermometer of course!) and got much more consistent readings. Stopped when I was pg, started again the day after erpc, but that was a wtf month and everything was a bit strange... It seems to be ok again on CD4 so hopefully that's a sign we're back on track.

musical, on my second month of TTC I had AF a week and a half early, quite light & over with quite quickly. A friend called it a 'near miss' - the next AF came a full cycle plus 1.5 weeks after. It was a bit odd, still don't really know what that was about - has anyone else heard of this 'near miss' thing? It has no place on THIS thread, whatever it is!

MeconiumHappens · 05/09/2011 20:08

The near miss sonds more like implantation timing, was it very light?

musicalmrs · 05/09/2011 20:10

Thanks Maybe - However, I think it's probably more of a 'near miss', as Late suggests. It's really odd though - I've never experienced an AF like that. If it was one!

My temp has been quite stable recently orally, but I might try fadgily next cycle (when I have an AF that I'm convinced about!). I'd prefer to be in the CD4 posse as then I know what's going on -daft body!

Wants - clearly updiffed symptoms, definitely not just first-day-back-itus! I don't go back until next week, although have training the rest of this week... sigh.

MeconiumHappens · 05/09/2011 20:12

my first month tryin my af was a week late with stil bfn then af came full force. This month a week late then bfp, so i wonder if that was a little egg lost en route. I gues some things we'll never know...

musicalmrs · 05/09/2011 20:23

I suppose not Menconium. I wonder if I haven't even ov-ed at all - although my temps and my symptoms seem to suggest I have (although at different dates!).

This would all be so much easier if there was a diagnostic setting, when we could find out what on earth's going on inside us..!

MyGoldenNotebook · 05/09/2011 20:33

Evening All!

My first day back sounds similar to yours wants - it's all a bit overwhelming after so many weeks of relative quiet and calm. I was with my Y9 form all day and I must say that they were being very sweet, but I think I've forgotten just how 'intense' being in a room with twenty-four 13 year old girls for six hours can be.

I agree late that a BFN this month is simply not on :)

Well I'm on day 19 of a 26 day cycle and I have no 'classic' symptoms whatsoever although I do have a sore throat???

Hope you're all having a relaxing evening xx

Sn0wGoose · 06/09/2011 11:15

Imps cheers for the link, your charts are really interesting!! I shall give that a go next time (when I'm ttc no.2 obviously, since I am clearly already pg), I can see how yours are so much more consistent. I sleep with my mouth open sexy too, though I don't know if it's all the time or not, which I guess could mess temps up too.

Generic really??? I had avoided the thread and the initial post seemed so ludicrous, I'm going to have to go and read it now!!!

maybebabyR · 06/09/2011 11:25

Morning all. And what a horrible morning it is!

I too sleep with my mouth open. Not a good look.

Do we have any testers this week? I have lost track of who is confirming.

GenericDietCola · 06/09/2011 13:47

The sad news is, Sn0w that she wasn't pregnant it was just wind

Well, day 2 for me now, so I am joining the group of ladies expecting a June bug, which sounds so cute I am almost not disappointed about the witch showing up.

Yeah who's next?

jenfraggle · 06/09/2011 13:50

i'm going to be testing next week but as we've only managed 5 times this month i'm not very hopeful. I'm sure there are some others confirming before that though

Sn0wGoose · 06/09/2011 14:31

It only takes once, Jen! :o

CakePigeon · 06/09/2011 14:48

Sorry to hear AF got you generic

Is it wants and jen testing next then? Any symptoms to report jen?

I'm still waiting for the golden egg it is too hot for all this sex lark

Sn0wGoose · 06/09/2011 14:57

DH is back to work tomorrow so SWI is about to get more difficult! He has been off with tonsilitis man flu but luckily hold the firm belief that sex boosts the immune system :o

GenericDietCola · 06/09/2011 15:39

Thanks Cake

Sn0wGoose · 06/09/2011 15:45

Generic I read it! Shame it was just wind but I was blown away by the amount of women who got false negatives Shock

Solars · 06/09/2011 17:35

Afternoon everyone...It really is yucky out there!

So sorry it is af Generic I still had my fingers crossed it was an implantation, it's quite early too isn't it as I thought you & I were both due around the 8th? I also read that thread you were talking about. I have a story to add about a friend of mine who found out she was pregnant after about 4 months, she didn't have a clue, she was convinced she had cysts. She also had an implanted contraception but kept complaining of stomach cramps, finally she was referred for a scan and low and behold there was a little baby there!!! My friend is a GP too!! Talk about fertile, this was her 4th child!

I will be testing on Saturday if af doesn't arrive by then. But to be honest not really holding my breathe this month, what with the HSG and hubby getting man flu right in the middle of my fertile period, not looking too hopeful :(

Anyone else testing soon?

jenfraggle · 06/09/2011 18:14

Well today I've been weeing a lot and been a bit windy but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I never get any CM so can't monitor that to see when I ov so just have to guess when to DTD

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 06/09/2011 18:58

Cystitis dammit Angry
I told the lady doctor, I told her, 'this has to be gone by next Monday, and I'm brooking no argument'
At least it's only CD5 so not interfering with anything yet...

Solars · 06/09/2011 19:21

Oh no Late that's pants but looks like you've got a bit of time to get rid of it!

Jen good symptoms! Have you ever used the opks to figure out when you ov? they may help with you pinpointing ov during your cycles. I used them for a little while, but I get CM so I roughly know when I ov.

MyGoldenNotebook · 06/09/2011 19:40

Evening All,

Solars it is yucky indeed

I agree that those are symptoms Jen. I remember being very windy with DS1 Blush. I'm never sure about about my CM either. Will be testing with you and wants next week. On Thursday if the evil witch doesn't show.

Late cystitis is the pits. Have your tried drinking diluted bicarbonate of soda? Tastes rubbish but seems to work quite well.

Sorry it wasn't implantation Generic. it's awful getting your hopes up. I'm really trying not to think about it apart from when I write on here.

Does anyone else who's been trying for a while find it hard to discuss in RL? I actually told my friends that we'd stopped trying last month as I felt that it was putting more pressure on me. And also making them feel a bit awkward as each month went by? Only my mum knows we're still trying now. And DH of course Grin

Anyway that's losers talk! POSITIVE PEOPLE GET POSITIVE PEE STICKS! I'm looking forward to all the BFPs (including mone :) ) that should will arrive next week.

Wants3 · 06/09/2011 20:09

Hi again all,not much to report today apart from the sudden desire to eat macaroni cheese(I haven't had it for ages!) thankfully work is keeping me busy so I am only thinking about stuff in the evenings.
BTW my DS1asked me today what the difference between a uterus and womb. I gave him what I think was the right answer but has any one got a good definition?

MyGoldenNotebook · 06/09/2011 20:37

Hmm ... I'd also like to know the answer to that question (thinks about asking DH but is too embarrassed)

jenfraggle · 06/09/2011 20:58

I have no idea of the correct answer but thought that uterus was the proper name and womb was a lay mans term

GenericDietCola · 06/09/2011 21:07

Solars yes it was early, which I suppose is better than late, but I think my LP was only about 11 days, so I'm back on the B6 now. I love those stories of surprise pregnancies too - here's another one: my friend's sister was a bank manager and one day the mother of one of her staff phoned and said 'X won't be in work today, she's given birth in the night!' Turns out she got to full term without knowing she was pregnant! Went to A&E with stomach pains and out popped a baby! Wow. Keep up the positivity though, buddy, you will be confirming on Thursday and I am brooking no argument! All my cycle buddies get pregnant you know! Look at Scarlet and Dream!

Late excellent brooking. Get stuck into the cranberry juice. I'm prone to cystitis too and it's nasty.

Golden how long have you been ttc, if you don't mind me asking? I don't talk about it in RL. Close family know (or assume) we are trying because they know about my mc in March and I hate the fact that they know. I always feel they are wondering and expecting news. I put pressure on myself but have given myself a Stern Talking To today, saying that it doesn't matter if it takes months and months, there is no rush. Well there is a bit because I'm getting on a bit, but still

Wants - cravings? Preggo!

Isn't womb just a less scientific name for a uterus?
