Struck out this month...anyone care to join me on the June 2012 bus?

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 12:03

Can you tell I'm bored at work btw? I should be working, but as my boss is such an arse, I just can't seem to work up the enthusiasm!

chases bus

Hi, I was on the May bus, but was doing sums (obsessively, as you do) and I think my ticket would be best suited here. Plus you're all talking about doggie style and that is relevant to my interests.

DO67 I know exactly what you mean... I have a day off tomorrow (yay for getting in there first to book days off around bank holidays!) and i feel like I need to do a massive pile of work before I disappear today. And my best friend is having a relationship crisis so I'm mainly emailing her instead of working... ahhhhhh. This stress is not good for TTC!! Might make some Brew

Right, an updated list:

musicalmrs · 25/08/2011 12:24

desperate - I'm lucky in that I'm working from home, planning lessons and arranging music, but being very unproductive! Think more chocolate is required.

My calculations are making me suspect I'm more on the June bus than the May bus now, but won't add my name just yet...

ChocolateWindmill · 25/08/2011 12:27

Just caught up with rest of thread (I'd missed a page)

jemimapuddleduk good luck with the puppy! Ours is currently 9 months old. When she was a bit younger she caught us TTC (I swear she was asleep in her room and the door had been closed so we could get some private time!) and freaked the hell out. Running around frantically, crying, scrabbling at the bed. I think she decided DH was trying to kill me. Anyway, we couldn't stop because we'd gotten to that point and the whole thing ended with her scrambing up onto the bed (somehow. She was teeny), licking DH in the face and trying to scramble between us. She tried to bite my boob and bark at DH at the same time, resulting in about 45 minutes of uncontrollable laughter and no more SWI. She then sat down on my face, I guess to protect me from DH and farted. It was on a CD14 as well. Such a waste of perfectly good swimmers.

Not to put you off puppies or anything. Wink

Just make sure you close the crate properly!

MrsGrumpWantsABump · 25/08/2011 12:39

Sn0wGoose, I had a look at the thermometers in Boots but didn't buy one as I thought I could maybe find a cheaper one online. Will a normal digital thermometer do or is a basal thermometer essential/more accurate?

ChocolateWindmill, that made me chuckle. Grin

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 13:19

I got this one when I started charting. Don't know if it helps.

chocolatewindmill I just got some very strange looks from people walking down the corridor as I was nearly pissing myself laughing reading your post about your puppy! :o

DialMforMummy · 25/08/2011 13:35

Can I join?

Jemimapuddleduk · 25/08/2011 13:44

Hellooo chocolate, that puppy story is so funny, I just spat out my tea laughing. We have a baby gate on our stairs so a similar thing doesn't happen! Before our pup we regularly dog sat the I'm laws young spaniel and he had a habit of getting in the bedroom when we were bonking and kind of jumping up and down peering over the edge of the bed to get a look, very off putting! We also had a habit of searching out dirty underwear and chewing the crotch, often as in laws came to pick him up. Urgh.
The puppy (amongst other things) was supposed to be a distraction from ttc stress, in fact we have been so knackered since we got him that there has been very little bedroom action! How old is your dog now?

Jemimapuddleduk · 25/08/2011 13:48

Sorry, just read back and you said 9 months! Very cute, what type of dog is she? They are ace aren't they!

Sn0wGoose · 25/08/2011 13:48

mrsgrumpy a normal thermometer will work but it has to be a sensitive one - one that goes to 2 decimal points. I just got the boots one as I knew it would be reliable :o

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 13:59

Wotcha DialM - dive right in :)

DialMforMummy · 25/08/2011 14:02

Thinking about POAS tomorrow morning. Period due nowish and normally I have couple of spots to announce them. Skin is looking particularly good right now so am suspicious.

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 14:04

Ooooh, fingers crossed! Would be nice to have a BFP! :)

OP posts:
MyGoldenNotebook · 25/08/2011 14:56

Go for it Dial. It would be lovely to have BFP!

MrsGrumpWantsABump · 25/08/2011 15:12

Thanks desperateoldie67 and Sn0wGoose, a new BT has been ordered (good value for money and I'm getting more OPKs to obsess about, yay) so I can't blame wacky charts on the thermometer next month. I may have slipped (no pun intended) some pre-seed in my basket as well as OV should be in the cards for the weekend. Grin

Keeping my fingers crossed for DialMforMummy. Smile

trilottie · 25/08/2011 15:55

Oooh fingers crossed for you DialM! Would be a fantastic start to this thread.

princessesmummy · 25/08/2011 16:28

Fingers crossed for our first BFP.
Is everyone taking folic acid then? Its making me feel very sick.

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 16:47

Yup princess, I take SHIT loads of folic acid - being that I'm crazy, I have to take extra - so it's 4000mg per day for me! Eeeek! Maybe that's what's making me feeling sick, but I don't really think so. I just think I have a tummy bug - niiiice :(

Come ON for our first BFP on this thread...we're counting on you DialM (so no pressure then :o)

OP posts:
grinningbee · 25/08/2011 16:49

Good luck DialM.

I will test again at the weekend. Not holding out any hope though...

Sn0wGoose · 25/08/2011 17:06

Good luck grumpy, it's addictive! DH now asks me how my BT was each morning ha ha

Princess are you taking it on an empty stomach? I bring my pregnacare straight back up if I don't take it with food.

princessesmummy · 25/08/2011 19:11

taking it with breakfast when possible. Just wish it came in liquid form, might look it up? anyone taken it in liquid form?

lots of chocolate for DO67-when you feel better :)

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 20:40

I have it in sub-lingual form: Here you go. They dissolve under the tongue like homeopathic remedies do, so not so many tablets to take. And they come in high strength, which is great for me as I need to take around 4000-5000mg daily. If I had to take all those as tablets I swallowed, I'd never take it.

I have a terrible gag reflex... :o

sweetpb · 25/08/2011 21:06

Hi x so my CD is currently 32, have to see the consultant on the 31st, not sure whats going to happen there as it doesnt say anything on the letter! I dont take temeratures or do ovulation sticks although may need to start as i never have any idea when i ovulate so its just swi 3 times a week! (trying to convince hubby to up that ;) maybe the pre seed will help?)

have bought a cheap pack of tests from the pound shop to test on the day that i go to see consultant just in case ;) even though i still wont be expecting AF for another week x

good luck all x x x

welliesandpyjamas · 25/08/2011 21:40
