Princessesmummy (25) TTC #2 Very impatient and addicted to library books.
sweetpb (33) TCC#1
LittleMissT TTC#1 for the last 3 months. garden blogger and camper
mrsmellow (33)TTC#1 CD6 AF due ~18th Sept (ish) triathlete and happy camper

I'm overseas so preseed is proving difficult to source annoyingly, but will keep trying.

desperateoldie67 · 24/08/2011 15:26

Try on Amazon mrsmellow. I'm sure they'll do it on Amazon.com if you can't order from the UK one.

Go for it (on the outdoor sex front)...it's fun - just don't let a policeman catch you! They tend to frown on that sort of thing! :o

desperateoldie67 · 24/08/2011 16:02

Time for a me me me whinge and a moan. Just went to see my psychiatrist and he wants me to hold off ttc until my mental state is more stable! Pah! I know he's probably right, and although I feel okayish at the minute, pregnancy hormones would probably send me off the deep end while I'm not medicated, so I understand that he wants me to get back on my meds properly...but (puts on 6 year old voice) "I don't wanna wait!". I did mention that, given my age, waiting was probably just pushing my luck still further...

Somebody pass me some chocolate, I feel like I could eat my bodyweight at the minute :(

OP posts:
Jemimapuddleduk · 24/08/2011 16:26

FFS, how infuriating desperate. When do you go back and get re assessed? What do you plan to do (apart from eat choc by the bucket load?). Very annoyed for you.

Mama5isalive · 24/08/2011 16:31

hi DO67 - yeh i had a feeling i wasnt so not to shocked and my cycle is shorter then i thought so yehhhhhh! i can take my time now and relax!
Af was due i thought on the 27th but nope she came today!
will update stats later im on my phone right now!!!!!!
im off to get my nails done!!!!!

desperateoldie67 · 24/08/2011 16:33

I have to see him every week for at least the next month, but he said that I should be stable (i.e. not up and down like the proverbial yo-yo) in the next three months, which I suppose is a plus. But then I feel very disinclined to use any form of contraception between now and then because, let's face it, I've not been using any since January and I'm not preggers yet...

But then if I do get pregnant, he's going to have the arse with me, and he's a very nice doctor otherwise.

I'm going to eat chocolate tonight, and possibly get a bottle of wine...but then I'll want to smoke if I do that, and I'm quitting at the moment and have a very un-sticky patch on my arm currently!

Bugger...just the chocolate it is then. And possibly ignore my psych! Blush

BAAAAAAD desperate :o

Jemimapuddleduk · 24/08/2011 21:03

Mmm that's a tricky one desperate, think I would find it hard to take that advice, 3 months feels like the end of the world when you are desperately ttc. Good on you with the quitting cigs mission. Me and dh quitted about 2 years ago but we are still inclined to relapse when getting particularly pissed off with this whole ttc and mc business. Never tried patches, cold turkey, is v hard. Enjoy your chocolate x

KinkyDorito · 24/08/2011 22:25

desperate that's really shit. Surely having to hold off ttc when you feel the pressure of time will not be helpful to your mental well-being? Second opinion? However, if you are feeling really unwell then maybe he wants you to ease off... it could all be a ploy to make you more relaxed, hence more likely to conceive Grin.

I told DH there was a trend starting for doggy style, possibly outdoors. I said, do you wonder who might have started that. He called me a 'Filth Pig'. So true. Enjoy ladies, enjoy Grin.

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 07:28

Well ladies, I decided (in what is perhaps one of the more sane decisions I've made recently) to actually take notice of my psych. I know in my heart that he's right. There's little point in me trying to look after a DC if I can't really look after myself. And, given that DP and I don't currently live together (Mr and Mrs Skint from Skintsville), I would be the one holding the baby, quite literally. So, it's back on the contraceptive pill for a few months. I'm actually OK with it now. I DO think he's right. Can't do condoms (not with my long-term partner) simply because they kill all feeling for both of us and make sex a bit pointless really.

And also as Mr Desperate and I have been having a few relationship issues recently it may give us a chance to get our relationship back on solid ground again.

Doggy style bent over the front of a Mondeo can be interesting Kinky...especially if it's a hot day - ouch! Bwahahahahaha! Not that I've done anything like that, you understand... :o Blush

If nobody minds, I'd like to carry on hanging out here while I'm waiting to get back on the buses...

OP posts:
KinkyDorito · 25/08/2011 07:46

I think you should be the kinky one desperate Grin. I think you know your situation best of all, and if you need to feel better then that is the sensible thing to do. I just hope you see an improvement soon. TTC is so stressful and throws such huge downers each month.

Speaking of which, still a big fat BFN, still no AF. I don't think, for me, that it might show up BFP in a couple of days. In the past, a BFP has always been there on the first day of missed AF. So, my body is being a pain in the arse. It is punishing me for all the danish pastries I ate last month Grin.

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 10:27

What on earth are you saying about me Kinky!?! I'm perfectly well-behaved, me Wink

Mmmmmm....danish pastries! :)

Hi all.

Feeling really really glum today. I POAS last night, and it showed a barely there faint line well within the time limit. Went all wobbly from shock, but got excited. The line is still there today. Tested again this morning and nothing Sad. Today is day 34. Where the is AF?

Very fed up.

Desperate please do stick around.

Oh, and just to keep up the thread kinkiness - my advice is never go outdoors in a wooded area where there are midges. They bite you in places you didn't know you had Wink

MrsGrumpWantsABump · 25/08/2011 10:42

Here's another one who likes knitting and outdoor activities (preferably doggy style in Wales), didn't realise there was a link! Grin Can I join?

Hands a big block of chocolate to desperate. I remember you from the May thread, please stick around. Smile

DH is waiting to get a SA after a recent VR, so the chances are I'll be jumping on and off buses for a while...

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 10:48

Hang in there bee. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Oooh, midges...What is it with Wales and doggy style outdoors!? Bwahahahaha...actually, Wales is where I busted the radio in the car by putting my stiletto-heeled boot into it (oops!). He's got a nice, posh truck now, so no high heels LOL! And I got read the riot act for doing something rather naughty to him on a motorway once, plus I think we might just have warped a few kids little minds when their minibus drove past! Blush

Thanks ladies, I will stick around, I like it here :) And I'm hoping that when I'm a leeeetle less mental, I'll get back on a bus quite legitimately instead of being a foul-mouthed, dirty-minded freeloader! :o

Thanks for the chocolate MrsGrump.

Someone told me that SWI meant sex with intent the other day...I always thought of it as shagging with intent! I know it's the same thing, but it gives an insight into how uncouth I am really, doesn't it? :o

MrsGrumpWantsABump · 25/08/2011 11:36

I'm confused. I only started this charting malarky this month and thought it would be a piece of cake after all the 'lessons' I've been doing on Fertility Friend. Well, I thought WRONG. My temps are all over the place (I probably need to buy a more reliable thermometer, any tips?) and apparently I can't even read the OPK stick. I'm on CD 12 and have been weeing on OPKs like there's no tomorrow. Yesterday I finally got a very faint line and I'm now staring at a stronger line, but it's still not quite as strong as the control line. So that would be... a negative? Not sure I've been interpreting my pant snot correctly either. Please tell me this gets easier. Confused

I've got a new motto: if in doubt, shag. Grin

musicalmrs · 25/08/2011 11:39

MrsGrumpWantsABump - Definitely if in doubt shag! I have no idea when I ovulated - no sticks - but I suspect it was sometime last week. As we didn't know I've had to persuade the DH into lots of SWI. Thermometer hasn't shown anything, but I suspect that's down to me and not it.

People used "If in doubt, shag!" for years without knowing about charting/pant snot/OPKs/all this malarky, so is bound to work ;) OPKs are well known for not being 100% reliable...

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 11:46

I can't say either way on OPKs. I feel when I ovulate tbh, which I suppose is lucky. Either that, or I have wind! :o

When I started charting...I got This. And it's a nice reasonable price too. The thermometer seems to be ok. And my temps are all over the place too, but then I don't tend to sleep very well most nights, so I'm not sure how reliable my temp charting is tbh.

"If in doubt, shag"? I like that! Now all I have to do is get my DP home this weekend and woo hoo! Now that I'm back on the pill again due to brain chemistry issues (seems a nicer way of putting it than stark, staring crazy!), the pressure is off for a few months until I get my head straight again. I hope the poor man has been taking care of himself this week - which I very much doubt as he's been away with mates who like to get pished - cos I'm going to jump his bones this weekend! :)

welliesandpyjamas · 25/08/2011 11:46

Stop the bus, I need to get on, please! Another passenger here :)

TTC #3. Had one AF since coil removal and pretty sure I am about to get another one, soooooo am determined that next month will be our month. I joined a TTC thread when TTC DS2 and it worked first time so obviously I need to do the same this time for luck Grin

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 11:47

Welcome :)

I don't know whether or not it's a lucky thread yet, but it's filthy and fun, so hop aboard :o

Nice one. Filthy and fun is my kinda bus!

[pretends not to enjoy the frisking...phew, she didn't find the choccy]

Sn0wGoose · 25/08/2011 12:01

I got a charting kit from Boots - thermometer, chart booklet and wholly unnecessary leatherette pouch for £14.99 :o

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 12:03

OK...so where did you hide the choccy, or don't I want to know?! :o
