NEW BUS BOARDING FOR JUNE 2012

desperateoldie67 · 23/08/2011 06:40

Struck out this month...anyone care to join me on the June 2012 bus?

OP posts:
sassymay · 06/10/2011 09:03

thecake I'm definitely for holding out and testing late if you can stand it.
I tend to ovulate early, so I am nearly 14 days DPO though only day 24 of cycle. I'm determined to hold out to weekend if AF doesn't get me. Maybe after the exam better than before less distraction??
rusulka that chart looks good to my uneducated eyes -- hope those temps stay up.
Ilanthe I may test on 9th too or 8th if wait is too unbearable.
I feel under extra pressure as 3 year old DD (who's overheard all those whispered conversations) said when can you test to see if there's a baby in your tummy? The other day she also passed me jar of baby food in co-op 'for the baby' Yikes.
Everything crossed for us all :)

Rusulka · 06/10/2011 17:01

Bit grumpy as my temp dropped by 0.2 this morning. Have decided it's punishment for having a go at long-suffering DH last night when he hadn't done anything wrong... Hoping it's just due to a very disturbed sleep.

sassymay lol at your DD! Can't imagine trying to do this with a little one nosying in on all the business.

TheCake · 06/10/2011 17:49

sassymay I think you are right, I will wait until after my exam as I could cope with another BFN or period arriving (after an inital feeling sorry for myself cry), buy a BFP would mean I'd think of nothing else!

LydiaTheTattoedLady · 06/10/2011 17:51

Really thinking about testing today - I bought a couple of First Response early tests (foolishly) the other day, as I saw them on offer and I couldn't help myself.

I'm 11 DPO (possibly 10) and either have a 25 day (AF due tomorrow, hopefully not) 27 day (AF due Sunday) or 28 day (monday) cycle. But I can't decide what my reactions to a negative would be:

A) Annoyed, upset and in denial (leading to more testing over the next few days, just to increase the misery)

OR

B) relieved that I could now take a more pragmatic attitude and treat it as a warning for caution (I might stop myself day dreaming). OK - I wouldn't hit the wine but a negative now might ease the impact of the arrival of AF on whatever day it might happen to come.

Hmmm. A dilemma. I'd like to think I was a B) person but I'm probably not.

Sorry - this post is just me talking to myself isn't it? Not very helpful to anyone.

I hope you're all doing well out there. Good luck on temperature Rusulka

The exam might distract you sassymay - if you don't want to test early that is....? Mind you - I always did everything I could to distract myself from exams - my flat was spotless for weeks during revision periods.

Ilanthe · 06/10/2011 20:48

I think I'm out. Bleeding pretty constant now, light flow but bright red. No cramps or anything yet so not the first day of my cycle proper (GP told me to count from my first heavy day if I was spotting a lot around my period) but I'm sure its on its way.

Will jump on the July bus as soon as I know what my CD1 is! Hope to not see any of you ladies there Grin. Good luck to everyone else testing and hope you all get your BFPs.

LydiaTheTattoedLady · 06/10/2011 21:33

Sorry to hear it Ilanthe - I think I'll see you there. Definitely getting what feels exactly like pre AF cramping, very annoyed.
At least then I won't have wasted a test; I bet it comes tomorrow.
GRRRRRRR

Crap knows what was going on with my boobs this month then. I only ever get sore boobs the day before AF. They've been achey and swollen for about a week now. My body is obviously playing silly buggers. Thank you, weird psychosomatic body.

sassymay · 07/10/2011 10:18

Sorry to hear that Ilanthe.
Lydia PMT and preg symptoms can be similar -- do let us know how you get on.
Rasulka I don't think the temp drop is your punishment. Remember having go at DH/DP is definitely positive symptom!
TheCake I've decided to be good and hold out til period's due.

I've got 8 friends coming over for a painting party tomorrow. Will have to try not to breathe in all day. It is eco-paint (but B&Q style) so praps a few nasties in there still?? Just thought 'she's having the painters and decoraters in -- old term for AF' ARGHH!! Is it just me, or do other people get ridiculously superstitious about this whole thing?
So anyway (deep breath -- sanity returns) I'm testing Sunday. FX for me.
Good luck for July transfers and for those of us left on June bus.
:) :)

LydiaTheTattoedLady · 07/10/2011 12:55

Tested this morning with first response..............

BFP - one very slightly fainter than the other but still strong.

A bit shocked, happy but cautious: Chief Medical Supervisor Dr Google says that risk of early miscarriage in first conception is very high, in the region of 50-70%. This seems extraordinary to me.

I did also test either the day before my missed period or (max) 4 days before, which is early. I think I'm12DPO but it might be 11DPO

Trying not to get too excited and I guess I just have to take it as it comes and see what happens

sassymay · 07/10/2011 13:03

Well done Lydia -- a strong line is a positive!!
I'd say that's reason to celebrate -- to hell with Dr Google.
:)

Discolite · 07/10/2011 17:43

Congratulations Lydia! That's brilliant news!

Ilanthe · 07/10/2011 18:54

Congratulations Lydia! Strong lines at 11/12DPO is great.

I'm definitely on the July bus, AF arrived with full force at lunchtime.

Rusulka · 07/10/2011 21:09

Congrats Lydia!
Screamingly jealous. FX that everything turns out ok. I've had cramps the last couple of days, but usually only get them during AF, so bit confused. Temp is slowly dropping though, so unless it's just been the cold weather affecting it, I'm worried I might be out.
Don't even have any sore boobage to keep my hopes afloat, wah.
Hope it goes up tomorrow- is sleeping snuggled right up to DH to absorb his body heat and therefore increase temp cheating!??!

Rusulka · 07/10/2011 21:12

Am testing tomorrow am. Anyone else?

LydiaTheTattoedLady · 07/10/2011 21:34

Good luck Rasulka let us know how it goes.
I'm holding out til tomorrow.
Had horrid dream last night that I had bleed!! How cruel is that? Was so happy to wake up and realise I was dreaming -- then felt anxious.
I've fallen off list above -- hopefully not off bus.
Painting all day today.
Hopefully a few more golds in the Olympic June bus team yet.
:)

TheCake · 08/10/2011 13:30

Lydia that is fantastic news! I would ignore the stats too.

I'm still holding onto the bus- but have developed a couple of spots so not a great sign...

sassymay · 08/10/2011 17:47

dream became a reality -- AF got me.
I'm going to sit and sulk in July terminal -- deciding whether
or not to take the plane :(

TheCake · 08/10/2011 19:05

sassymay that is really shit. I had a bit of a break from the buses and this was my first one back. I'm undecided whether or not they make ttc easier or more difficult! I reckon I won't be far behind you too as I'm feeling PMT ish today.

Rusulka · 08/10/2011 22:23

Well, I'm out. Woke up on and off all night with horrible cramps, but nothing doing. Got up to come downstairs to test, and had that familiar unwelcome feeling, so the walk turned into a run.

Really narked!

I was sure we'd done it this month- d/s and everything. Obviously we will have to do it d/s all bloody month.

At least I've only got 2 weeks left in my temp job, so right about the time i ov I'll be stress free and relaxed, looking forward to Hallowe'en.

Good luck to everyone else, I'll be on the July vehicle.

tipp2chicago · 09/10/2011 09:57

June 14 2012 according to the Mumsnet calculator! Did a test this morning in my sisters house. Two thin lines on a First Response, 5 days after period due. I'm delighted but it all feels a little unreal after 2 yrs 5 mo of trying. This is our first. I will obviously be peeing on a lot more sticks today just to confirm! Oh, and DH is at his parents house and I won't see him until this evening to tell him!

I just knew that buying that MoonCup would mean I wouldn't be able to use it for ages! Grin

Discolite · 09/10/2011 18:00

Aw,Tipp2Chicago that sounds like a richly deserved BFP! Good luck and congratulations!

Rusulka, that is a shame. It's worst when you know you've done everything right but it still hasn't happened.

I'm on CD36, no sign of ovulation, BFN this morning and no sign of my period. I'd welcome it to be honest at the moment just so I can get on with things and hopefully have a normal cycle that isn't plagued by colds messing up ovulation. Sigh.

TheCake · 09/10/2011 19:19

Gutted for your rusulka and congratulations to tipp2.

Discolite hope you get an answer one way or the other very soon!

I'm on cd30, at the moment and my longest cycle has been 33 days so will know one way or another soon!

DeeLite · 09/10/2011 20:28

Just popped back from July to see what was happening here. Lots of BFP's - well done to all and god luck to all those waiting. Especially pleased for Tipp2Chicago - that's very happy news. Well done.
