I am already feeling weird. SWI on CD 5. Since then, sore boobs on and off. Not normally a symptom round now - usually before period. There is no way in hell I could have got knocked up on day 5, is there? If indeed, given my spotting it was day 5. It could have been day 12 or 14 or something. Who knows.

Oh, and Mama - you were on my previous antenatal thread.

Morning ladies - just a quick update, I think i might have to jump off the June bus, i think the old hag is about to make an appearance :( have been crampy for the last 2 days now (it has gotten worse this morning and is eminating down my legs as well) and when i checked my cervix this morning, it's medium, soft and kind of open (i say kind of because it's sort of raised on the edges and dipped in the middle never felt it like that before), so I am assuming that impending doom is looming in the wings!!

Loulou - i promise i will get some links for the sexy undies at some point this evening, was working late yesterday so i never got a chance (and then the footie was on..........sorry )

Mama5, festie and to all those waiting to test etc - really really hope you get your BFPs this month!!! I will be charting a July bus soon and don't want to see any of you on there

right i can finally add myself to the POAS section - it's day 17 of high temps but i chickened out of doing a test this morning - will try tomorrow seeing as thats day 18. have some weird symptoms but that might be PMT symptoms, i haven't had a proper period for so long I have no idea what they used to be like. Spent a tenner yesterday in Tesco on the double pack of the clearblue digital conception thingy - who knew they were so expensive! had to surreptiously go to the checkout hiding it as i was in there with some guys from work.

OMG!
Just did a test, couldn't wait any longer, and its only a BFP! Says Pregnant - 2-3 weeks. waaaah!
am shaking! Can anyone tell me when I should use the next test in the pack of 2 just to confirm? tomorrow, 2 days, a week? AF was due on sunday.

Congratulations Trilottie Have not yet had a BFP myself so I'm not totally sure but if your temps have remained high, your period is late & you have a positive test then you probably don't really need to do a second test for confirmation.

trilotte that is fantastic news- congratulations! X I think retesting is up to you- you are pregnant and don't have to retest unless you personally want to. Never had a bfp myself, but from what I've seen on here it varies- some people test and test and others don't.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Starting swi marathon last night- tried the position beloved by this forum! But- tmi alert- my DH always gets cramp in that position so we had to switch to me on top and I ended up with a bit of spillage! I know people say missionary or from behind is the best for ttc, but it is easiest for my DH to cum when I'm on top. I will just have to be quicker at jumping off next time . Or maybe I could do I handstand after !

I'm new and have no idea if I should board this bus or wait for another - feels a bit weird posting just after Trilotte just broke such amazing news.

Have FINALLY worked my magic on BF and convinced him to go childwards. Thought that would be the hard bit.....but (after looking into it) not so sure -Sex ed at school made it sound so flipping easy to get pregnant, sad to see that it's probably not going to be instantaneous.

ANYWAY...this is our first month of really going for it (last month wasn't really a concerted effort, as he only reached the realisation post OV) and now I'm terrified of the Old Woman - AF due on October 8th....Crossing fingers (that's how you have babies, right? Or did I not listen in sex ed?).

Good Luck Lydia - You sound as clueless as I was - but I'm now an expert due to reading the (very well regarded on MN) Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Really interesting and easy to read, I found. Asked DH to read a couple of chapters too.

WHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYY for Trilotte i wouldnt use the other one if you got a positive!!!!!!!! its a clearblue dit - you can take a picture of it(i did but had a poundland cheapie positive, then broke out the cld)

I wrote a long post earlier but it never went up, grrr! Can't remember what it said exactly now annoyingly but ended in me saying I think I might be out for this month and onto July bus. Just don't think we've SWId enough and I don't have any symptoms to speak of.

I know it might be a bit early to call but I'm not getting my hopes up. Think I'll test this coming Monday just in case... not sure if is too early though? I could have ovd anytime from the Friday before last (when I had cramping) to last Wed (when I had positive on ov stick - but didn't POAOS before then so might not have been first positive day!) Hmmm,....anyone have any views?

trilotte you've taped the test to the door! That is brilliant! I could not do that as my door opens straight onto the street, the old man next door who is always on his step smoking cigars would see it before my DH.

I have been bad and need a wrist slapping ladies!

I decided this month to be moderate with my POAS. Last month I was testing from 9 DPO and got into a bit of a pickle. Got my first (faint) BFP at 13 DPO and then as you know, miscarried, so.... anyway. After exhaustion and nausea aplenty, I made it to 11 DPO - pathetic I know, and unsurprisingly BFN. I didn't get one BFP on the cheapy internets last month, and I'm back using them this month, cos they've always worked for me before. So do I - wait a couple of days and try again with the internet cheapies or, go and get some decent tests and try again tomorrow?!

I am festiemum and I'm a POAS-aholic. Ahem!

As the internet cheapies are....ahem.....cheap, and given you have never had a problem with them before, I would wait a few days and test with fmu with a couple of them, if nothing (or if something faint) then I would definitely go out and buy and expensive brand just to make sure!! :)

I would say, try to wait till Friday then test again. Friday would be a far better day to test cause you can celebrate with a takeaway/meal out/chocolate if it's BFP or commiserate with a glass of if it turns out BFN (maybe a small one just in case you want to test again on Monday)- win-win situation!

However, I'm so weak willed when it comes to POAS but they are sooo cheap and no one ever has to know.... but always regret it when I do and I know it's too early cause I'm 99% likely to be disappointed. Am trying harder and determined not to be weak this month

Ok, I've decided that I shall be strong and test on Monday... then if BFN (v likely) again next Friday. Do I have any testing buddies?

Loulou - if i get the temp shift that I want tomorrow morning then that would put my ov date at CD32 (I am on CD40) and 9dpo. Monday would prob be too early for me to test (FF is saying 2nd October, we know i will have tested at least once 3 or 4 times by then :)) but I am willing to take an internet cheapie with you :)

Ok, pee sticks at the ready! will not test at weekend, will not test at weekend...

I will test on Monday, Loulou, if AF doesn't show up in the meantime. I did already test (BFN) because I reckon I ov'd a good 2 weeks ago, so I don't hold out much hope.

Oh I'm just rubbish! AF isn't even due til saturday, FFS!

But, as you say GTR and loulou they're so cheap, it doesn't matter and I haven't told DH - ahem! They (men) must just think we're bonkers surely?

Anyway, looking at my chart on FF (don't temp, so it's not that helpful tbh) - I went for an ov day compromise, since my OPK just confused matters (not even sure it was a + frankly), and going by fanny batter - which the Bible (TCOYF) says you should always do - I may only be 9 DPO!

My new substitute for POAS is PO ov sticks (POAOS as I like to say)... same kinda geeky testing of cycle and I can fool myself that if I know that I'm not oving still then I'm definitely in the 2WW and should hang on in case of a BFP. That sounds insane when written out. What a loon.
