Struck out this month...anyone care to join me on the June 2012 bus?

OP posts:
GTR2882 · 21/09/2011 11:26

No Loulou, not loony at all - i have been doing the exact same thing; I POAOS every day (sometimes twice) just to make sure that they are definitely negative!!! That way, when i come to POAS i can at least be sure that I am not being fooled :)

ffnorm · 21/09/2011 11:27

Hi all - sorry I've been very quiet but have been following the thread.

Firstly, Big Congrats trilottie and on your 1st cycle!!

This is my SWI week...going well so far, managed to get DH to dtd 2 nights in a row, which for him is impressive, taking a night off tonight as he has a dinner meeting, then back at it tomorrow night. I know they say every other night is best but I'll take what I can get as he tends to go off the deed when tired/stressed/unwell etc etc (sorry if TMI!!)

FX for all who are testing soon - we want a lovely big due in June antenatal thread!

trilottie · 21/09/2011 11:55

Sorry for not coming back - damn work getting in the way!
LouLou - he was really happy and excited. We went out for a celebratory Thai meal while trying not to get too excited/count our chickens and all that. Discussed names (!), when to tell our parents, etc. I was thinking Olympia but he says no!
This sounds horribly selfish but I'm dreading 9+ months without alcohol!
Good luck all with testing next Monday then!

Mama5isalive · 21/09/2011 14:00

I refuse to POAS, i refuse to POAS,i REFUSE to POAS!!!!!
not testing until weekend no matter how much the clearblue tries to seduce me to POit!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Readynow · 21/09/2011 15:22

Just back from getting ny day 3 blood test results from the GP. All normal, which is a relief :o Just need to book in for my day 21 test later in the month to check progesterone levels. Which I could start to relax but now worrying about other things instead!!
Who'd of thought ttc could be so easy?!!!!!! :o

I'm also up for joining in on the pissathon on Monday if AF hasn't shown up by then. Fingers crossed everyone.

Well done Trilottie. Don't worry about the booze. I was dreading being off booze when pregnant the last time but pregnancy hormones make booze seem really unattractive so I didn't miss it at all. I went off curry too and was more upset about that!

festiemum · 22/09/2011 10:13

Still think you're showing amazing resolve Mama!!

Well, you would have been proud of me Ladies, I resisted P-ingOAS this morning! Going to try and wait til the weekend, but not promising anything!!!

Hope everyone is well this morning. Oh and echoing Deelite's point, Trilottie - I too went completely off alcohol each time I was pregnant - it makes it very easy to abstain! :)

Discolite · 22/09/2011 10:20

Bonjour everyone! Time for me to join this bus, after no luck for the April and May ones. Anyway, that's good news Readynow, don't worry too much about the next lot of tests at least one is out of the way

I'm getting really pissed off with waiting for ovulation. CD19 and no sign. It went from day 22 to day 17 which was great, but it seems to have been a one off. I've been having cramps and the right sort of cm for a week now but no positive opks and no temperature increase. Bloody egg.

AF has arrived today :(
Ironically, if I got updiffed on my next cycle, I'd still aboard the June bus - so I've updated my stats accordingly :o

GTR2882 · 22/09/2011 10:49

oh popcorn and disco sorry to hear that :(

Fingers crossed for next cycle :)

PopcornMouse · 22/09/2011 10:50

Thanks GTR :)

louloubellamozzarella · 22/09/2011 10:57

mama, that's v sensible having just the one which is hidden away. i have millions (well tens) of the things which are crying out to be weed on :(

I will remain strong though, in solidarity with GTR and Deelite (I will I will..) Stay strong festie - sure you don't wanna join our Monday crew?

Sorry to hear that popcorn but yay for staying on the June bus still - skills.

I have lots of watery CM today and yesterday... anyone have any idea what that might mean. No other symptoms really other than my boobs getting quite a lot bigger (but that happens throughout the month usually anyway). Expertise welcomed, I'm so clueless.

GTR2882 · 22/09/2011 11:02

Loulou you have to stay strong - not long now; only a few more days :)

I had a little watery CM today as well - sometimes you can get fertile CM after you have ov'd and it not being dry is a good sign! I have seen lots pg of charts where women had watery CM in the 2ww!! Don't want to get your hopes up though and sorry if that didn't really help Blush

louloubellamozzarella · 22/09/2011 11:16

Thanks GTR, any news is good news, that's my new saying (not 'no news is good news', hmph) :) Ah well might SWI just one last time, even though that would mean that my cycle is monstrously long (you never know!!)

I should be really busy this weekend after a busy week this week so I haven't been as tempted as I was last month. I suppose not having any symptoms makes it easier though as I'm expecting a BFN anway so don't really want to see the single line spring up again.

PopcornMouse · 22/09/2011 11:28

loulou if you look at the fertility friends charts obsessively like me then you can see that a lot of women get cm throughout their 2ww - I shouldn't worry about it :)

zombiebanana · 22/09/2011 11:57

Hello, I am running after the bus at full tilt at the moment, and knocking on the back window, hoping the driver is a kindly soul who will open the doors and let me on :)

[tortuous metaphor over]

I am new here. Can someone define CM and SWI?

I had a mc at 11 weeks 4 weeks ago, and had sex again for the first time 1.5 weeks ago, around when I seemed to be ovulating . . . since then I've been irrepressibly (ahem) horny Blush which was a sign of pg last time, but the mw told me to wait 4 weeks from date of ovulation to test, because a BFP might be the leftovers of the last. Naught not waiting a cycle in between, I know, but desperately impatient :) Anyone else found extreme randiness to be a sign of v. early pg?

Luck to all!

zombiebanana · 22/09/2011 11:57

*naughty

zombiebanana · 22/09/2011 12:06

also, can you define 2ww for me please?

zombiebanana · 22/09/2011 12:09

and POAS

GTR2882 · 22/09/2011 12:24

CM = cervical mucus
SWI = shagging with intent
2ww = 2 week wait
POAS = Pee On A Stick
POAOS = Pee On An Ovulation Stick

Hope that helps :) can't help with the horn being a pg sign, as never been pg :(

Readynow · 22/09/2011 12:27

Welcome zombie. Not sure about early pg signs as have not yet got my bfp but CM is cervical mucus, SWI is sex with intent (basically sex to get pregnant rather than just for fun), POAS is to take a pregnancy test (the ones you pee on a stick at home) & 2ww is the two week wait, roughly the time it takes between ovulation & when your period (AF - Aunt Flo) arrives, or if you are lucky you get your BFP (Big Fat positive on your pregnancy test). For more Acronyms click on the 'Acronyms' tab at the top of the page. FX
