GTR2882 · 16/09/2011 17:53

Hang in there Mama5!!! When you planning to test??

DeeLite · 16/09/2011 19:20

Hello everyone,

I'm expecting a temperature shift tomorrow so tonight's the last night of SWI - thankfully. Have been going hell for leather this week and am finding it a chore. Procreational sex sucks...after the fifth consecutive day anyway!

Can I ask? Does TTC#2 mean that I'm trying to conceive baby no. 2 or on the second month of trying. Either way, I'm TTC#2 but would be good to know for next month if I'm still not updiffed.

Deelite - TTC#2 means baby no.2 and not how long you've been at it (quite literally)! I know what you mean about the SWI, I have opted for every other day as it's becoming more like a chore now - we don't even bother with foreplay anymore that just gets in the way of the job in hand!! I was hoping for my temp shift this morning but it was a no show!!

sweetpb · 16/09/2011 19:57

hi all glad theres still a good few of us on here x , I Think - I ovulate today, but thats if the metformin has done its job, I dont have ery many 'signs' for ovulation so kinda going on dates more than anything.

Have to hold my hands up to the 'swi' without the fun too! fell asleep early the other night so got woken up by hubby telling me to 'roll over' we have to 'swi' tonight!!

Well still going to go for every other day for a while just to make sure incase ovulation different (IF i ovulate!)

P x

Mama5isalive · 16/09/2011 22:55

GTR i promised myself that unless late wouldnt so not due to test till next week!
but i can just feel its not happened for me at all this month so may flag down the July bus from now and save a seat somewhere in the middle!!!!!! dont like the feeling when i go over the flippin road humps!!!!
Well fingers crossed for all those still well in the game swi till you know you sure its done!!!!!! maybe i oved late and so missed the days was going every other nite before and during and also after!!!!!! maybe my body dont deal with pressure well! feeling very sorry for myself!!!!!!!!!

Readynow · 17/09/2011 08:42

Mama don't give up yet. From what I've heard/read a lot of women have no symptoms & are convinced that AF is on its way but still get a BFP! So it ain't over yet! FX
GTR I know exactly what you mean about the SWI - certainly no foreplay for us in my fertile days as it just seems like a waste of time/energy!! Blush

louloubellamozzarella · 17/09/2011 09:28

Hang on in there mama! Sounds like you've done everything you can this month so there is a chance. If it turns out not to be your month then at least you're primed and ready for the next round, so either way it'll turn out ok.

Glad to hear I'm not alone with feeling that SWI doesn't really entail 'sexy time' any more... Got to leave soon for an all day course (boo) but might just do a bit of online underwear shopping upon my return - maybe we should share any good finds? I think I'm looking for something turquoise and push up Wink

Saying that, we didn't end up getting in any SWI last night (bad loulou) as I was out till late then shattered from busy week. Ah well, the ov sticks still say yes so I'll go in for the kill tonight!

Mama5isalive · 17/09/2011 10:25

thanks for your words but really dont feel like this month is mine!
so i have decided to get my pilot license and fly the last few thread fallouts to somewhere nice and hot!!!July 2012 - hmmmmmmm Barbados im thinking or maybe Jamaica!!!!!!!
I hope all who will be POAS stick soon gets the Positive they have so long been waiting for!!!!!

GTR2882 · 17/09/2011 10:43

Oh mama5, i know exactly how you feel; we are here to offer support if the dreaded witch shows up and offer cookies and tea :) and then offer more support with your ventures next cycle (still crossing everything for you though)

Ha ha Loulou, I will have a look over the weekend and report back with any tempting and sexy lingerie - hopefully won't be needing any pre-seed as the natural juices (sorry for tmi) will be flowing!!! They'll be begging for more :)

We didn't manage any SWI last night either, i had a really bad day and just wanted to snuggle on the sofa.....so we did!! Back on it tonight as I think things are starting to happen down there. Took my OPK this morning just before 10am and was expecting it to be really light but i was surprised to see that it was the darkest i have seen it in the last few days! Whoop (not getting my hopes up though so going to test again at 2!) My cm is also doing something weird, it's been creamy for weeks, but this morning it's kind of creamy but clear/watery - never had that before!! I have charted it as creamy but will be doing some more investigative work later to see if there is any change! I know it can't be semen or anything like that because last SWI action was Thursday so the remnants of that will be gone, right?? Has anyone else ever experienced something similar?? Confused

floralflora · 17/09/2011 11:35

Hi there everyone. Can I bag a seat on this bus please? Recently had mirena removed so this is first month ttc #3. Cycle unlikely to have settled into a predictable pattern and cm indicated I ov'd around CD10 but not sure. Anyway the last few days I've had thrush symptoms so popped into chemist this morning but she refused to sell me anything just in case I am pg Sad Gotta wait to see GP Shock. Do you think thrush could be a pg symptom?? The only other time I ever had thrush was just after mirena was taken out in July.

I conceived first 2 darlings in first month of trying so I've never had the trauma of waiting yet. Wd be lovely to make that 3 but trying not to get too hopeful...

Anyway nice to meet you all. x

Ah, I can see now how to make the text bold. Can I edit my message?

GTR2882 · 17/09/2011 11:44

Welcome floral, i think the only way to edit messages is to re-send!! It matters not - we can see you on the list, that is all that matters!!

With regards to thrush, I have heard that some women get infections/thrush/illness due to the bodies immune system focussing on the embryo, so yes, it could be a good sign for you so Fx :) I would book an appointment to see your GP asap!!

Mama5isalive · 18/09/2011 00:33

Hi and Welcome Floralflora!
GTR im still hanging in there although standing up looking at exit,i have already given my seat up for someone more worthy then me!
fingers x for everyone!

Wow - my eyes are hurting after reading the whole of this thread! I've been on a few buses before but have given them a bit of a miss for a while but I've missed the feeling of 'we are all in it together', especially since I dont really want to talk to anybody about it all in real life. Also this thread has really made me laugh and you all seem like lovely people.

Any - I've been ttc since Dec with not even a hint of a bfp! My cycle is a bit irregular and I think I may have a short luteal phase so have been taking Vitamin b6. My DH is back from a weekend away tomorrow so we will start SWI in earnest from then...

Hi The Cake - I am very much liking the name!!! Good luck with that SWi-ing!

Hello all. I am trying not to go crazy in the 2ww and just put off POAS as long as possible, cos I got over excited last month, and what did that get me? A chemical pregnancy, that's what!! I am 8dpo - it's going SLOWLY..... :)

Oh Mama5 you're so not out of the running yet!

xx

floralflora · 18/09/2011 22:55

I'm really milking the situation of possibly being pg. Well, you never know Wink. Oh, so lethargic today, I just had to get hubby running around while I had a monster lie-in and plenty of sit-downs through the day heehee! Don't know if I can wait another week to POAS... Does it really not give a proper reading for TWO WEEKS??

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend and are feeling more energised than me! xxx

Mama5isalive · 19/09/2011 07:54

Welcome newbie called TheCake thank you for joining this thread i hope just taking a step forwards and taking a seat will bring you a BFP especially if you sit in the seats that was held by our forma buddies who are now Pregnant!
Well Im due Tomorrow and not POAS for i cant take the 1 line showing up!
so will hold out, wait and see, if the AF hag turns up!!!!!! (ahhhhhhhhdeepsigh as i walk around trying to distract myself and not notice that 4 days or so have passed and still no AF)Grin

GTR2882 · 19/09/2011 10:16

Welcome Cake

Mama5 i am still crossing everything that the old hag stays away - grrrr!!!

I have a fresh new dilemma!! Since last Thursday evening i have had a headache that just will not go and it even hurts when i move my eyes. On top of this I am feeling dizzy, nauseous and the cramps have returned more painful than normal. If that wasn't enough, i have completely gone of SWI Shock!!!!! I am also (TMI warning) feeling very wet down below and seem to have tons of creamy cm!! I do not believe that i have ov'd yet, let alone anywhere near the 2ww so am feeling a lot more confused than usual!! Please someone tell me i am not going insane Hmm

louloubellamozzarella · 19/09/2011 11:11

Hi all. Hope you had good weekends. Welcome cake!

I didn't have much of a break (on course all weekend) but kept me plenty busy and I'm feeling surprisingly energized today - well a whole lot better than I did at the start of last week Grin Still no new underwear - must start on that tonight. 20% off ASOS at the moment so I'll be browsing later!

floral - good thinking with the extra attention. I look forward to having symptoms so I can do my share of milking too! Absolutely nothing to report as yet.. but I'm probably only just in the 2WW (god knows what my cycle is up to this month) so ridiculously early to be doing any SS.

I'm really unsure as to whether we've managed enough SWI to be in with a chance this month :( just been so busy and tired out we've only managed in a few times over ov time. I'm just holding onto the hope that it only takes the once so it is possible (if not probable!) Gonna pounce on OH tonight to seal the deal!

GTR hmmm that sounds v strange. Have you definitely already ovd? I've started noticing my ov pains and other symptoms around that time which are a lot stronger than I ever remember. Ov cramps nearing period pain intensity (and I have really bad period pain :() I don't normally advocate POAS unneccessarily, but maybe if you did it would put your mind at rest so you can focus on feeling better?

GTR2882 · 19/09/2011 11:24

Loulou FF has not confirmed ov and the OPKs have not really shown a definite positive yet, they got darker for a bit over the weekend and then went back to being pale as normal but I just feel rotten - if i get a thermal shift to 36.40 then FF puts ov at CD32 (I am currently on CD38 and have been hypothetically entering temps to see what would happen if it rose to 36.4, even if it gets to that next Sunday, ov day would still be CD32) I did have af like cramps on CD32 that only last a day and were gone and have had no cramps until i woke up with them this morning, really did think that the witch had turned up but after some internal rummaging this morning, there is not even a hint of her!! Just feel rotten :(

I have had a look at some sexy undies, but left the links on my other laptop -will post when i get in tonight :)

PopcornMouse · 19/09/2011 11:39

GTR, I get headaches when I OV...... you could just have a bug though, lots going around at the minute?

louloubellamozzarella · 19/09/2011 11:44

Very strange. After (just about!) following your explanation it sounds like ov time is a possibility then, albeit in a wierd long drawn out style this month. It might be that I've misunderstood though, I'm sooo untechnical with ov stuff, never dealt with temps etc so sorry if I've completely got the wrong end of the stick!!

I think I need a fertility tutor to show me the rope Grin - i can see a gap in the market with 'A rough guide to your fertiliy' - I can write and edit, anyone wanna partner up with me?! We could be millionaires - this making a baby business ain't gonna stop anytime soon Wink

Oh yes, send over your link later. Will do the same later - I don't think I can quite get away with researching underwear at work without looking a bit shameful.

GTR2882 · 19/09/2011 11:53

I'm in - anything to get me out of this rat race Loulou - i think you are definitely onto something there because i think a lot of women would benefit jump at the chance of having their fertility explained in laymans terms!! Sorry about the waffle in that post - not very clear at all!! I think what i was trying to get at was that no matter what happens with temp increases/decreases, if my temp goes up to 36.4 (the magic number :)) then ov will have occurred on CD32 and I will be in the 2ww (according to FF)

Because my mojo has gone i just have not got the inclination to SWI anymore - this is all very weird!!

Popcorn - i have never, ever noticed ov symptoms in the past, so you could be right. Fx!! I hate my body at the moment for playing games with me!

GTR2882 · 19/09/2011 16:54

Welcome needinstructions hope you have found a comfy seat :) Fx that you won't need it for long Wink

I think you can only truly start to feel symptoms once implantation has occurred and the body starts producing the hcg hormone, before then not much is happening!!

I am still feeling extremely dizzy and have nearly gone over twice now!! Hoping this will be short lived!!
