desperateoldie67 · 23/08/2011 06:40

Struck out this month...anyone care to join me on the June 2012 bus?

OP posts:
GTR2882 · 14/09/2011 19:58

Well tonight i have had the darkest line that i have had since peeing on them and it is good to hear that you don't necessarily have to have a line as dark as the control line to ov, despite what the instructions say. We SWI'd last night so am giving DH a rest tonight, as hopefully there will be a lot of SWI over the next few days My temps over the last few days have been fairly consistent (36.18, 36.17, 36.13) but today there was a slight rise to 36.20 ? am crossing everything that this continues over the next few days, especially if the OPKs do turn out to be positives and I ov in the next 12-24 hours!!!

I am with you on the tracking aspect Rusulka, although I am becoming completely obsessed with every twinge!!

Sometimes in these situations the only thing you can be is sensible, otherwise I would be a complete quivering wreck!! Thanks for all you support festie Grin

rubia · 14/09/2011 20:39

Since I have just lost the best part of an hour reading all 13 pages I had better jump on the bus!
37 ttc #2, AF due 30 Sept-ish, first month of 'trying' and DH away day 11-13. Arggh! After years of 28 day cycles things have gone a bit awry so am getting to grips with the sticks, nothing as yet.

Also have tilted cervix, or so they say when trying to do smear so thanks for the 'styling' tip!
And congrats to those in Preg-ville!

GTR2882 · 14/09/2011 21:09

GTR2882 · 15/09/2011 08:25

Welcome aboard Moomin - let's make this month one to remember (for all the right reasons) :)

My temp is on the rise, my cervix is now closed and firm - could i possibly have ov'd??? Hmm i don't want to get my hopes up but I have been crampy (these have now gone) and since Tuesday my temps have increased (not dramatically but definitely significantly!!). Am going to give it one SWI tonight and see what is happening with the temps in the morning!!! Grin

louloubellamozzarella · 15/09/2011 09:15

Hi ladies! Just checking in briefly as I'm back in work after a long weekend and a couple of days out of the office and have that doom feeling of a million trillion emails and jobs bearing down on me Sad aaah get me outta here!

Anyway... seems that there has been an impressive amount of ov scrutiny going on :) I actually have a faint line on a stick at last - only an ov stick, not a BFP unfortunately, but hey you gotta start somewhere! Oh and after months now of checking, I finally have the fabled EWCM again, woohoo!

So, it appears that I am ovulating probably a week later than expected - thanks, body. This is actually quite a good thing as we spent last weekend in a caravan and only got one SWI in. I've been so shattered with work this week that any action has been non-existent. Maybe this is my ovaries giving me a second chance Grin.

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 10:02

artist formerly known as Sn0wgoose

Yikes, quick loulou, get SWI! I think you're supposed to ov within 24 hours of getting a +OPK!

I got my first +OPK this month too and was oving a week later than I'd thought, too. Just goes to show there's no one-size-fits-all with those ov calculators floating around.

GTR2882 · 15/09/2011 11:55

Popcorn i don't rate those ov calculators because they can only go off dates - even if you are super regular, there is always the slight chance that your body will do what the hell it wants to do and when it wants to do it, as we are so frequently reminded!!

LouLou forget work and get some SWI in Grin ok maybe go to work, but just make sure you have enough energy to perform tonight Wink (or get DH to do all the work Grin)

louloubellamozzarella · 15/09/2011 12:19

Eek, I think with all of these distractions (stupid work) going on, I've veered off mission slightly. Right, strict 4pm departure from the office today - back home, clean tip of a house; run; other course homework; then strict focus on SWI from 2000 hours. Phew!

I am coming to the conclusion that signs like CM and looking out for cramps, etc are going to be more useful than ov sticks and going by dates for me. Sticks are a good reassurance substitute for POA(proper)S but nothing shows pre-ov for me better than some cramping and a lovely spot breakout. Hope my icky skin clears up fast - looks like those pill hormones have well and truly cleared out of my system. Interestingly I never noticed ov cramps before - but I really do now - very wierd! To be honest though, the last time I was oving normally I was 18 probably and drunk half the time not thinking about that at all.

Festie, mama5 and others, any news to report? OOh I'm really looking forward to the end of the month when it's testing time!

PopcornMouse · 15/09/2011 12:21

loulou EWCM is great, isn't it? I now start OPK testing when that shows up :o

ChocolateWindmill · 15/09/2011 12:56

So AF turned up on Tuesday evening, am mighty pissed off. Still, 4 days early, at least she didn't string me along. It was rather annoying because I was so sure my PMSing was pregnancy symptoms, I went to POAS, got a -ve and an hour later AF came a-knocking. :(

But hey, straight back on the horse, so to speak! Am already looking around on figleaves for some new undies (any excuse. I have a disease. I can't stop buying bras!)

pixarmum · 15/09/2011 18:06

Aaaaaaagggghh!! The two week wait for AF is bad, but what about the two week wait till ovulation??!! The month is just full of TWW!! Only on day 2 of cycle, another 15 till I ovulate. I know, moaning unhelpful....!

festiemum · 15/09/2011 19:52

It is just a neverending round of waiting really isn't it pixar?!

Hello Loulou me old mucker! How the devil are you?! Glad you got your second chance to SWI this month! And GTR too SWI-ing tonight! A night of SWI - I'll keep me fingers crossed for you!

Well, I am 5dpo and trying not to go mental and SS. But have noticed very vivid dreams again - which I had last month when I was pg - tho, of course, it didn't stick. And I slept like a baby on the sofa today while my 2yo wrecked the sitting room! But, as I say, trying not to read into things!

GTR2882 · 15/09/2011 20:41

Ooh festie sounds promising :)

Well I am all SWI'd up - did it straight from work like some kind of military operation!! If temps stay on the up tomorrow then hopefully FF should spot ov and I will be back in the game (never thought I would be this excited about the 2ww!!) will let you know!!

festiemum · 15/09/2011 22:26

Ha ha! Brillant GTR. That shows real grit and commitment to the cause! :o :o

Really hope you get that temp shift! x

Ilanthe · 15/09/2011 22:52

Hello all. Newbie to conception boards. Not to MN, I'm on a namechange as have quite comprehensively outed myself on another thread.

I'm TTC no.2, have cervical erosion and got all clear from the GP this morning to get on with it. CD 5 (assuming that CD 1 means days since 1st day of cycle). Had our first SWI this evening but not expecting anything due to wrong part of cycle. Though because of cervical erosion, my bleeding is erratic though I do seem to get regular periods in between the spotting.

Have 1 DS, 21mo. One DH, 39 today.

GTR2882 · 16/09/2011 05:50

Sadly no temp shift :( didn't drop though is the same as yesterday! Onwards and upwards i say! If my calculations are correct and AF is due 9th October, then I should ov anytime from 23rd but going to SWI every other day.......just to be sure :)

louloubellamozzarella · 16/09/2011 09:33

Hey festie [waves like a bit of a maniac] - I'm alreet thanks. Shattered after this week and have a course all weekend as well (boo) - but coffee is getting me through (have had to abandon cutting down this week or I wouldn't have made it to Friday!) Let's hope those SWI endorphins work their magic in getting me through the weekend.

I've been a bit AWOL lately but definitely firmly seated in the bus/speedboat/bling limo we have going on here now and really looking forward to everyone's updates over the next couple of weeks! Cappuccino and a nice pastry, anyone?

Hi to the 'artist formerly know as' of the May/June buses, popcorn Wink too, fingers crossed for you this month.

GTR - hehe we did exactly the same yesterday - definitely like a military operation! I'm thinking I might need to follow ChocolateWindmill's lead though and treat myself to some new underwear as I'm feeling that the SWI is getting a little clinical in the loulou household. A new bra and some matching knickers might do the trick!

Looks like we've got a few of us testing next week... I think I might have to push mine back a week a couple of days to be realistic and save myself the trauma and cost of all that POAS. I'll keep my date on for now though.. y'know, just in case I start getting symptoms Blush.

Readynow · 16/09/2011 10:31

Saw my GP this morning so feel like I am actually doing something now! I am on day 3 of my cycle so was able to have a day 3 blood test there & then to check my hormone levels. Have to book in for a day 21 test later this month & hopefully sods law will kick in & I will actually get updiffed this month. :o The GP didn't seem at all concerned that we had been trying for 7 cycles & reckons it takes on average a year to 18 months anyway! I don't know if it is just my PCT or nation wide but the GP said 42 was the cut off age for NHS treatment. I was just told that if still nothing had happened by Christmas I should go back with my DH for some more tests.

GTR2882 · 16/09/2011 12:15

Ready glad that you are getting somewhere - here's a big Fx for you this month (it will be, i can feel it in my waters Grin). It's all well and good though these Dr's telling us what the norm is with regards getting pg, but when you are actually TTC every cycle feels like an eternity!! I don;t think i can take much more of this!! SWI is becoming more clinical rather than enjoyable (mainly my fault, as I am a bit about it!!

Loulou ooh yes, as soon as i get paid I am thinking a trip to Ann Summers is in order Wink and maybe invest in some manuka honey, apparently that can help with the whole getting updiffed procedure!! I will literally try anything at this point :)

Mama5isalive · 16/09/2011 16:50

Hi Loulou othing to report im feeling less and less hopeful as the days go by,apart from feeling really tired nothing else and that can just be work related!
im thinking im going to crash out this month also!!!!!!! so feeling upset before it has even happened!
someone has had 2 good results from te clearblue oving kit! so may have to bite the bullet and invest in it! cant be asked to look at lines and do charting and my cm is not a god sign for me either!!!!
good luck Popcorn!
boo to AF turning up early chocolate!
pixarmum- the wait starts here!!!!!
Oh festie - praying that this will be your month( im quite willing to offer you my seat)
GTR2882- SWi,2ww,BFP - liking the abbrevations!!!!!!!!!
readynow - hope it all works out for you too!!!!!

not feeling very hopeful feel like that "red hag is on a tampon/bodyform surfboard aiming straight for me!" trying to dodge but dont think she'll miss!Sad
aching back, tiredness but that can be put down to the work in packing and my workload at work! not POAS until next week and no AF show!!!!!! good like to everyone else!!!!!!! BFPs are due!!!!!!!

GTR2882 · 16/09/2011 16:56

Mama5 maybe the hopelessness is a good sign!! I have heard lots of stories where women had no symptoms but got their BFPs! Not wanting to sound like a broken record but until hag features rears her miserable pock marked face then there is always hope!! :)

Mama5isalive · 16/09/2011 17:08

here is the missing "N" to spell nothing!!!!
GTR2882 - i know i say it to others on here, but really feel im out this month, but it aint over to the "red hag sings"
