Let's face it May 2012 is full of bank holidays leading up to an extra day off thanks to the Queen. We are all bound to get updiffed and miss the time off -(where we should be in the pub) looking after our new babies.

A bus for those who find it difficult to remember new names. Ting ting - no getting off untilk a BFP.

Starting the stats Bleats (31) TTC#1 af due 31st Aug ish

WaitingforStork · 03/09/2011 20:50

Not sure how althletic it was, believe me some nights I really just wanted to sleep! However, can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs and all that...

Did begin to run out of ways to instigate though (always seems to fall to me) trying desperately to keep it fun but there's only so much new underwear you can buy! Think poor DH was beginning to feel a bit like a machine, however he is as keen as me to start a family and is just as disappointed every moth AF turns up, he just doesn't realise how much leg work needs to be put in. Put it down to woefully inadequate sex ed in schools.

I'm all in favour of 5 BFPs in a row (sign me up as number 5....) Positive thinking can work wonders (I have tried everything else!)

Byrnsie30 · 04/09/2011 17:40

Hey all,

Well, spotting didn't increase and seems to have gone (from what I can tell! - TMI - I spend way too much time scrutinising underwear and loo roll!)
Not out of the woods yet though, I need to get to at least wednesday before I can allow myself to hope!!

180 I def ov'd at expected time as I have been doin CB digital ov tests. Apparently Implantation bleed can be 8-10 DPO (and I assume that's not an exact science as nothing else with TTC is - so fx I'm within that margin of error!)

stork well done on SWI - you even out-stripped me and I was well determined and commited this month Wink

Part of me thinks I should test early just to put myself out of my misery!! Heeeelllppp!!!! x

180 · 04/09/2011 19:39

Stay strong Byrnsie, we'll get through this. I'm determined to not go symptom spotting this week so am happily allowing a couple of Wine glasses a night and not worrying about anything at all. What will be will be! Let's just hope it's sooner rather than later!

WaitingforStork · 05/09/2011 08:04

Morning Ladies,

Monday morning again already, where do the weekends go? And it so cold and dark up here today (Scotland, con't think we get summers anymore), on a plus note it meant the dog slept in until 6 as opposed to his usual 5.30. Did mean I was just as reluctant to get up though! Nothing like a walk across the wet misty fields to start the day. Am tucked up in my nice cosy office now though.

Byrnsie, I really have me fingers crossed for you, you've got nerves of steel to hold out til Wednesday. Mind you I've given up early testing too, rather live in ignorant bliss dreaming about what might happen then staring a BFN in the face (one that you won't believe anyway, after all it was too early to test! Waste of money and heartache).

180 Think you're due around same time as me, hopefully we can stop each other going mad. Pretty sure I ovulated day 16 (on 20 now) so the long wait has begun, will try very hard not to listen to every little twing, cramp or achey boob! Mind you I say that every month and still manage to gets my hopes up only to be crushed when she turns up.

How is everyone else on the bus doing, been a bit quiet here over the weekend?

knittymum · 05/09/2011 09:08

Hi everyone, may I join you? Better late than never! I'm ttc#3 after a late miscarriage in May. Not feeling overly optimistic for this month, as it's only our 1st month of trying since being given the all clear from the obstetrician. However, we did manage (sorry if tmi!) swi every day for 10 days from cd9, so we couldn't have done much more! AF due 13ish September, so I'm now on CD 22.

FX for everyone still waiting this month! Sorry I can't add myself to the list, but I'm on my phone and I'm not sure if I can copy and paste from it!

Byrnsie30 · 05/09/2011 09:29

Welcome kitty and so sorry for your loss. I was gutted after chem pregs so can't imagine how you must have felt. Well done for picking yoursef up and hopping on the bus. We are quite a positive lot here! Grin
I've added your stats!

Thanks for the encouragement 180 and stork, going to need a lot of that over the next few days! I'm going to keep myself as busy as possible!

TTFN Smile

WaitingforStork · 05/09/2011 10:16

Thanks for the housekeeping! Now I know how many biscuits I need to pass around the bus (hands out Biscuit as have been hit by tea break munchies and feel I shouldn't be snacking alone).

And hello to Kitty, glad to have you on board!

Summary shows this hasn't been a very successful bus so far, think we need to buck the trend ladies...I hate this waiting around bit.

crystaltea36 · 05/09/2011 10:18

Hi everyone, thanks for being such a nice bus, I'm off to the June one. :-(

knittymum · 05/09/2011 13:46

Mmm, thank you for the biscuit, waitingforstork! Any choccie ones left?

Crystal, I'm sorry your wait will be longer.

knittymum · 05/09/2011 13:51

And Byrnsie, thank you for the sympathy. The summer has been rubbish, as we lost my mother in law very unexpectedly in July so I'm hoping for a bfp to make some happy news again. And I'm rubbish at being patient, so the 2ww is killing me!

WaitingforStork · 05/09/2011 14:28

Sure there's a twix in here somewhere (rummages.....yup found one!) here you go Kitty!

Just know I'm going to drive myself nuts this 2ww, we've put in the biggest effort so far and it better pay off. Far too early for any sort of pregnancy related symptom but I've come over all itchy and spotty today and it's driving me mad! Making me a bit irritable, just keeping my head down in the corner of the office, poor dog got quite a telling off at lunch time for chewing my husbands hat (I know it's naughty and he shouldn't be doing it but I did surprise myself with how loudly I shouted NO at him! (made him drop it though...)).

Clandy · 05/09/2011 15:35

Hiya af arrived for me so officially off the may bus thanks for the ride tho Grin

Byrnsie30 · 05/09/2011 19:16

Sorry Clandy and Crystal - best of luck next month.

I only have 2 more days to wait and trying really hard not to get my hopes up. I'm like you stork this is the biggest effort we've made so far, and its my deadline month - I decided I'm going to the docs if unsuccessful again!

It's so hard to remain positive and, at the same time, not get hopes up!
Maybe we should have some girl guide, coach trip songs to keep our mind off things. I will set us off with:

on top of spaghetti, all covered in cheese, I lost my poor meat ball when somebody sneezed!!!

Byrnsie30 · 05/09/2011 19:17

Updated again - oh dear, let's get some BFPs ladies!! x

it rolled off the table, and on to the floor, and then my poor meatball rolled right out the door...

harmonyb23 · 05/09/2011 20:52

Got a very faint BFP on a test today. Am going to repeat in a couple of days to make sure for definite but both me and my partner can see a very faint line. Grin

Sorry to hear that some have had to go across to the June bus already good luck for next cycle!

Hang on in there all those who haven't been caught by AF... this could be our month! Smile

Pipbin · 05/09/2011 21:25

Very exciting Harmony how many DPO are you?
Hopefully it'll get stronger tomorrow.

knittymum · 05/09/2011 22:26

FX for you Harmony. Hope it's a good strong line next time!

WaitingforStork · 06/09/2011 08:06

How exciting Harmony hope you get a nice clear line next time and that your luck is catching for the rest of us, about time there were some BFPs on this bus. Looking at your stats that's a good few days early, what test did you use?

How are the nerves holding out Byrnsie the temptation to pee on a stick must be huge right now!

WaitingforStork · 06/09/2011 15:45

Where is everybody today? Hopefully all peeing on sticks and getting BFPs...

Pretty lonely at the back of the bus just now though (starts singing 10 green bottles to pass the next 15mins til home time...)

knittymum · 06/09/2011 16:11

I'm still here! Imagining symptoms like crazy, which is madness given that I've still got a week to wait until AF is due! I need to keep knitting busily and make the time pass quicker. I'm wondering, perhaps if I set some unrealistic targets to be achieved by next Tuesday, the week might fly by!

harmonyb23 · 06/09/2011 16:36

Much stronger line today!

Only 11DPO Pipbin just did a test on the off chance and it came out positive! DS was the same, got an early result with him too! Smile

Byrnsie30 · 06/09/2011 17:20

Wow pipbin congratulations and fx for you. That is an early result. Did you use a First Response? Grin

Stork, my nerves aren't too bad, thanks for asking. I just haven't been allowing myself to sit around contemplating! At the mo I have just sore boobs (and wind - TMI!!)But these are normal for me before AF, so who knows?! Blush

Can't help getting hopes up though as I also usually have a heavy feeling which I don't have at the moment! Also, I keep thinking back to the very, very light spotting at 11-12 DPO and hoping it was implantation! Hmm

I don't have long to wait now though! Getting butterflies!!

stork I have another line of the song:

...it rolled down the garden and under a bush, and then my poor meatball was nothing but mush...'

Anybody for the big finish?!

Pipbin · 06/09/2011 17:29

No congrats due to me I'm afraid Byrnsie I'm clinging on to the bus with gritted teeth.
AF is firing warning shots which I am kidding myself are actually an implantation bleed.
